Wally

"There are rules to you two staying at the Wayne Manor." Bruce tells us as he gives us a tour of the place we've already been through.

"Rule 1 during the time period you are here, you will not and cannot leave the Wayne Manor compound at all times. Except for marriage counseling"

"Uh Bruce?" I start.

"Rule 2 once struck with a sudden urge of love make sure to do that behind closed doors." Bruce says ignoring me.

"Bruce!" I call again.

"And rule 3. Wally, Dick you two are here for a reason and that's to fix your marriage. You two are . . . drifting and I didn't let you get married so young for this to happen at least not so soon. And that concludes rule 3 is for you two to spend more time with each other and I mean a lot more time." Bruce finishes. He looks at me and Dick with a sincere look and I look at Dick.

"Thanks Bruce" Dick says with a smile on his face.

"Now any questions?" Bruce asks.

"Ah ya! I go to school remember? I can't just miss an entire week to catch up with my husband. All I'm asking is that he comes home at around 5-7 EVERY evening instead of 3 in the morning every 3 days." I tell him.

"You're smart Wally you can afford to miss one week of school. Just don't get sick. And as far as Dick coming home every day at a certain time is a bit much I can ensure he comes home at least 6 days a week and a day off on the 7th day but that's only if you cooperate." Bruce explains.

"Fine, fine I'll miss a week of the hardest year of my medical school life just so I can spend more time with my husband." I agree.

"Thank you for your contribution." Bruce tells me.

"But Bruce what about the case I'm working on?" Dick asks him.

"Let Tim take care of it he's more than capable." Bruce tells him.

"But I'm still a suspect shouldn't I go?" I ask him and I glare at Dick for not believing me.

"Wally it isn't like that. I want to believe it's not you but I can't just let you off because you're my husband."

"Well you can let off because it wasn't me!"

"I need proof."

"The words I'm saying to you right now should be proof!"

"Well you need an alibi"

"You're my alibi."

"No I am not! You weren't with me the whole night I didn't even know you went to the park!"

"And Alfred will show you two to your room." Bruce cuts in. We look at him and then Alfred.

"Good Alfred I can use some food because right now it's the only thing that can comfort me!" I yell and I walk to the kitchen.

Dick

Well Wally is mad at me, but then again that's not new. I enter the garden to spend a lot of time just calming down. And gardens aren't even my thing it's nice to come back to the Wayne Manor after a while. Everything is the same except for the furniture and the current emptiness of my old room. I head back to my room and Wally's sitting on the bed looking at a book in his hands.

"Studying?" I ask him I crawl behind him on the bed and look over his shoulders.

"Remember this?" He asks with a genuine smile on his face. I peer into the book to find out it's our wedding photos.

"Of course I remember this!" I tell Wally I wrap my arms around him hoping he's okay with that and he only sits back into my grip. Okay good he's fine right now.

"Hey Dick." He says raising the book.

"Yeah Wally?"

"Tell me what the wedding was like for you." He tells me.

"Uh that's such a long story." I smirk at him.

"Please" He begs.

"Okay, okay so it started in a tent. . ."

"I think I'm feeling sick." I say out loud clutching unto my stomach.

"Come on Dick you need to put on some make-up." Barbra tells me.

"What the hell Barbra? Why would I put on make-up?" I ask her.

"Because you're the bride" She tells me pulling my arm.

"Wally and I don't believe in such positions! Besides why would I be the bride?"

"Well you are taking Wally's name and Bruce is walking you down the aisle."

"I'm being walked down the aisle!?"

"Uh ya, were you not there for the countless wedding rehearsals?"

"We only had one and I'm not doing it!"

"Dick, are you saying I can't walk you down the aisle? When you told me you were marrying Wally I thought to myself oh I finally get to do what most father's do and walk their child down the aisle of the happiest time of their life. Knowing I adopted all boys I thought that was impossible but then you gave me hope and-." I cut Bruce off.

"Are you even Bruce?" I ask him

"Look I'm walking you down the aisle." Bruce says with a glare and walks out of the tent.

"Barbra am I the flower boy or the ring boy?" Tim asks entering the tent.

"Yes" She answers Tim gives her a look.

"Which one is it?"

"You're both"

"Why am I both? Can't I be the flower boy and Bart be the ring boy?" Tim asks.

"Why do you want to be the flower boy?" Barbra asks.

"I just want to throw stuff okay?" He shouts his face tinted red.

"Guys I feel really dizzy right now." I tell them.

"It will be okay Dick, when you see Wally all of these feelings will fly away." Barbra tells me.

"You've been watching wedding movies haven't you?" I ask her.

"Look everything will be fine. I mean it's not like you have any regrets." She tells me handing me my sunglasses.

"My only regret is living a double life. Wally can't even see my eyes during our wedding." I sigh

"Not to mention you'll be called Nightwing throughout the entire wedding." Bart adds.

"Thanks for rubbing it in." I tell him.

"Aw Dick you look amazing! I'm so happy for you!" Barbra yells.

"Stop crying Barbs you need your make-up." I tell her. I peek out from the tent and the piano starts to play. There's Wally talking to someone outside and my heart starts to beat like crazy.

"I think I'm having a heart attack." I tell Barbra looking back inside the tent.

"Don't worry Dick it will all be over soon. Positions everybody!" Barbra says. Tim and Bart line up in front of me and Bruce steps next to me.

"Dick, before we go out I must ask. Why did you choose to get married on the beach?" Barbra asks me.

"Why?" I ask her and I think back to the time I threw my ring into the ocean ending my relationship with Wally and then I also remember Wally proposing to me at the beach and I smile.

"Well Barbs let's just say a lot of things happened at the beach." I tell her

"I'm really happy for you Dick. Wally's an okay kid." Bruce tells me.

"Why is he just okay?" I ask him.

"Have you met his uncle? I can't believe we'll be related to him after this." Bruce glares at Barry. I can see Barry and he's taking pictures everywhere.

"Can you guys believe it? My immature, impulsive, and flirtatious nephew is getting married!" Barry shouts. Bruce and I shake our heads at him. The music gets louder as more instruments rather than the organ play Bruce places his arm in front of me and I stare at it before I figure out what to do. I hold unto his arm and we walk out of the tent and on the sandy ground of the beach. The sun is low in the sky and the temperature is just perfect. Everyone in their seats are flashing their cameras and smiling at me. Megan and Artemis give me a thumbs up and then I look straight ahead of me at Wally. He's standing there looking back at me and he just looks so perfect. I can't believe this is actually happening. I've dreamed about this thought about it and it's actually happening. I must be dreaming I have to be. But I know it's real because when I get to Wally he looks into my eyes and they feel warm. Those eyes alone warm me up inside and out and I'm just so happy the sick feeling is gone and I begin to cry. Catching on to my tears Wally grabs hold of my hand. The priest starts his long speech but all I can concentrate on is the hand holding mine and the fact that we'd be together forever.

"And then we went hiking at Machu Picchu for our honeymoon!" Wally shouts.

"Wally, I just told you my feelings about the wedding." I tell him.

"Yeah you did. And I'm really glad we felt the same way. I mean I was going to cry but you beat me to it." Wally says he puts the book down and turns around to hug me.

"You were going to cry too?" I ask him.

"I never really thought I'd actually get married. Well besides the time I proposed to you. I always thought they'd never be that one person for me until I started to date you Dick. And I'm really, really glad I did." Wally tells me and he holds me tighter.

"Wally I love you so much." I tell him.

"I love you too"

The next day I actually wake up to find Wally next to me. I move myself to get really close to him and move the stray hairs from his face. When was the last time I watched Wally sleep? And I don't mean that in a weird way. I smile at the face in front of me and near even closer to kiss it but someone knocks on the door.

"Come in" I say not moving.

"Master Dick, breakfast is ready and I have the car ready to take you to the cave." Alfred tells me.

"The cave?" I ask him.

"Yes, you have an appointment with Ms. Canary." Alfred tells me.

"Oh thanks Alfred." I tell him and he leaves the room. I sit up in bed and I really don't feel like leaving. Again I think about the wedding all over and how happy we were and the great times we had at the honeymoon. Where did we go wrong? When did we start getting angry at each other? When I became the leader of Young Justice? When Red came back? When? Wally moves around in the bed but he doesn't wake up. His hand pats around for something and when it lands on my leg he grabs it and hugs it. I move my hand through his hair over and over as I keep thinking to myself trying to picture every signal moment after we got back from our honeymoon. Wally's stomach growls loudly and his eyes flutter open.

"I need food." He says weakly and then looks up at me.

"Good morning." I smile at him.

"Morning." He says he sits up and gives me a kiss.

"Did you sleep well?" I ask him. Wally gets off the bed and looks at me.

"Let's not talk about that okay?" He says.

"Is it your memory? Is it getting worse? I can help you." I tell him.

"No, it's not that. Not this time at least." He says his belly growls again. "Oh look I'm starving." He mutters and exits the room. I go down stairs to find the table filled with food and Tim sitting next to Wally.

"Give me a break Wally. Just because you can finally remember your missions it doesn't mean your missions were any better than mine." Tim tells Wally.

"Well according to what I remember they are." Wally teases.

"Wally you should start getting ready we have to go to the cave." I tell him.

"Already? It's like we're doing this every day." He says and he vacuums half the food on the table into his mouth. We get to the cave and Wally's holding his notebook from the double date. I would say I'm interested in what Wally wrote down but since I was there I know exactly what's in it. Or so I thought.

"Wally would it have killed you to add a bit more detail." Canary asks.

"In my defense you didn't say I had to." Wally tells her

"But this is just . . . bad." Canary says.

"Can you let me see it?" I ask her.

"Of course." She says handing me the book. I take the book and open it on the page where the writing starts.

"Went to the movies. Troy actually smiled and he smiled half of the time other half he was in bathroom. Olive Garden. Took my order. The end."

"This is it?" I ask him a bit agitated. Red did so much more that day I wanted to throw up and this is all Wally manages to write?

"You should flip to the next page." Canary tells me and I do.

"Want to know something interesting? Roy kissed Nightwing. NIGHTWING! My husband my lover my guy I'm meant to be with? That pissed the shit out of me. First of all Roy is my best friend how can your best friend just kiss your husband right under your nose? Just when I was starting to trust the guy he goes off and does that? Want to know what I did? I stood there and watched. I'm just kidding I beat the crap out of that guy! Can't touch my husband and think you'll be okay. Just when I thought I could officially trust the guy too. I know I sound like a jealous jerk right now but when you find out your husband is a 'pony' you'd feel the same way. How did he even get the word pony out of this? Nightwing's a bat a bird a flying night creature not a freaking pony! He gets near Nightwing again in an inappropriate way I will kill him well maybe not kill but I'll make him feel like he's dead!"

"Well he added detail on the next page." I close the book and turn to look at Wally. I smother a laugh in my throat honestly I find Wally really cute when he's jealous.

"Well in the wrong place but its fine we know something about Wally we didn't know before. Now Wally tell me more about these notes." Canary says.

"First you want me to write it down then you want me to say it?" Wally asks.

"Okay can't you tell me more about your date with Red Arrow? Like did he touch you or-."

"Dick and I are stuck at Batman's house for the entire week I can't even go to school." Wally cuts her off.

"Oh umm and how's that going for you two?" Canary asks going along with the flow.

"I can finally sleep well, knowing Nightwing is actually there. And I don't have to make myself believe he is." Wally says. Is this what he didn't want to talk about?

"Is there a reason you pretend Nightwing is there?" Canary asks.

"Even though I've been alone a few times I don't like the feeling. I know that Nightwing was going to be busy with the cave but I never expected him to be this busy. Now I just hate the feeling of being alone." Wally tells her.

"Wally why didn't you tell me about this?" I ask him.

"Because I tell you everything Nightwing, it's just sometimes you ignore what I told you and hug me instead so sometimes I just don't feel like telling you these things." Wally says.

"Another problem." Canary says. "Nightwing I hope you know you can't solve Wally's needs and problems with just a hug" She says.

"I know that it's just when I don't see Wally for a long time that's all I want to do. I don't want to talk because that might lead to a fight and that's the last thing I want to do."

"Hmm? During this week I want you two to communicate a lot more. It could solve a lot of your problems."

"Even our trust problems?" Wally asks her.

"Not all of them but I'm sure you'll be close to it. You just need to give Nightwing a bit more time with Red Arrow. Maybe the two of you should go on an adventure or a mission to-."

"No! Absolutely not. I rather die than have to ever be alone with Red." I tell her.

"But this would really help Nightwing. Just consider it and when this week is over you two can go on just one mission together." Canary says.

"Well just so you know somebody might die at the end of the mission and it won't be the villain." I warn her.

The next three days seem to just fly away Wally and I are just floating in between close and really close. I guess it's better than how we were before staying at the Manor but I really want to be closer to him.

"It's going to rain tomorrow." Wally tells me as he stares out the window.

"What are you calculating that too?" I ask him.

"Dick there are some things you never forget." Wally laughs.

"And I don't plan to."

Wally

Well people it's that time again . . . date night! I promised Dick a date for a while now sure there was the double date but that was stupid . . . stupid Roy ruining everything like that- him aside. I have the best plan ever! I just need tomorrow to come already.

I wake up really early in the morning with my plan stuck in my head. I probably don't need to wake up this early since everything takes place in the evening but I'm too excited. I walk into the kitchen and find Alfred already inside cooking something.

"You're up quite early Master Wallace." He says.

"Well Alfred I have a huge plan in my mind." I tell him. Okay so maybe I'm over exaggerating, it isn't that big or well big at all just another cliché-read-it-in-a-book type of date.

"If this is a plan to escape the Manor I am afraid I cannot help you." Alfred tells me.

"Alfred, I'm not trying to leave. I'm planning a date, silly." I tell him and look inside the fridge. "Even though I could use a few items."

"You can write a list and I'll take care of it." Alfred tells me.

"That would be great! Thanks Alfred and while you're at it I'll cook breakfast it feels like forever since I last cooked." I tell him.

"Very well." Alfred says I speed write the list and I start making breakfast. When I'm done I head for the garden in the backyard this must be the perfect spot. I race back and forth from inside the house and back to the garden trying to get everything in place and man did that take a while. Then I get a call from Dick.

"Uh hello?" I answer.

"Wally, where are you?" He asks me.

"I'm around." I tell him

"You left didn't you" He says disappointed.

"No, no way! I'm still on the compound." I tell him looking around.

"Then have breakfast with me. Alfred made something really interesting today." He tells me. Uh breakfast? But I'm so far from finishing. Right now I just have a pile of furniture and decorations on top of each other and I still need more things to add. Now I'm stuck in between having breakfast with my husband and preparing for a date with my husband. I can't let him know what I'm doing so I should go right? But what if I never finish? I'm a speedster I will finish.

"Uh Wally?" Dick says into the phone.

"Oh I'll be there." I tell him. I walk back into the house and Dick's waiting by the door.

"You're dirty." He tells me. I look down at my pants covered in dirt and a sweat stained shirt.

"Hmm? Well that's uh messy." I tell him and he looks at me suspiciously.

"Are you sure you didn't leave?" He asks me.

"No, I was just rolling around in the dirt." I tell him he goes into the dining room.

"Oh let me get that." I race over to him and pull his chair open for him.

"Thanks." He tells me. We start eating and it's incredibly quiet all I can hear is the fork clang against the plate and Dick chew his food.

"This tastes like your cooking." Dick says and that almost startled me.

"Oh umm I made it." I tell him.

"It's good." He tells me. And it's quiet again.

"Oh Dick is there anything you'd like?" I ask him.

"Like what?" He asks.

"Oh umm anything that I can give you. Like a meal or a certain food or something." I tell him.

"I want to see you smile." He tells me.

"But I am smiling." I tell him widening my smile.

"Oh" He sighs. Dick and I need this date more than I thought.

"Hey babe, why don't you take a nice long warm bath?" I ask him.

"You're the one who needs a bath." He tells me.

"No, really you seem kind of stressed. How about I go get it ready?" I tell him and go to the bathroom. I make him a bubble bath and after making sure he gets in I go back to the garden. Did I mention how far that thing is from the house? It's like a mile away. Alfred gets home with the things I need and I move into the kitchen and start to cook. Its 6:30 and the sky has a hint of blue in it as the sky slowly goes gray. I change my clothes into something nice and I look around for Dick.

"Dick let's take a walk" I tell him. He's in the library with his entire face in the book.

Nightwing

"No thanks." I tell Wally shutting down his offer. I just found this really good book and I don't plan on putting it down.

"Well this is unexpected." Wally mutters and he moves from the library's doors.

"Look Wally you can try to convince me all you want but I'm not going. Plus you said its going to rain today so walking is a bad thing." I tell him.

"Come on Dick we came here to get closer to each other not read stupid books."

"Says the guy who I caught reading his textbook in the closet."

"That's different! Plus this will only take an hour promise." He tries to convince me. I close my book and look up at him. I do want to be closer to Wally and I can read this book any day.

"Fine I'll go." I tell him.

"Great!" And a big smile lands on his face. I stand up and his hand glues itself on mine and he walks me outside.

"So Dick anything interesting going on?" Wally asks me and he starts swinging our hands.

"Uh well Tim doesn't want to work on the case anymore so it's back to just me." I start to say.

"Ya me too." He tells me and I look at him suspiciously. And he kicks at something on the ground repeatedly.

"Are you even listening to me?" I ask him.

"Oh what's that?" Wally asks and he points off in the distance where various balloons pop up from the ground.

"I wonder." I smile realizing its one of Wally's romantic dates. I squeeze his hand and look up at his grinning face.

"Hmm it's going to rain in about twenty minutes." Wally says.

"Should we go back inside?" I ask him.

"No!" He says in panic. "I mean a little rain wouldn't hurt!" He says. We get into the garden and that's when I stand there in amazement. The pond is a deep shade of blue with lily pads each one has a letter on them written in marker. After rearranging the letters in my head I find out they spell the words 'I Love You'. And there's a break bridge over it almost completely covered in white lilies the bridge was there before but the lilies and the color of the bridge wasn't. There's a circular table not too far away covered in red roses and a radio playing slow music. The flowers all over the garden are surrounded by stones in the form of hearts and the paper lanterns glow brightly around the garden reflecting in the pond along with the moon.

"Wally what did you-?"

"So Alfred is going to hate me for changing the garden but the look on your face is so worth it." Wally tells me.

"Wally I may never know how you're able to do this." I tell him. And here I was prepared for one of his romantic dates but the setting gets me every time.

"Will you dance with me?" He asks me I can only look at him weakly and he takes my hand guiding me to the bridge he holds me close and leads me in a slow dance.

"Did you ever do any of this for Red?" I ask him.

"Nope. I never loved Troy the way I love you." He says and he tightens his grip around me. I rest my head on his shoulder I'm so close to him I can feel his heartbeat against my chest. It starts to drizzle and Wally spins me around continuing the dance.

"Should we go inside?" I ask him yet again.

"No, not yet." He tells me and the rain gets harder. "I never got to kiss you in the rain." He smiles at me and I smile back at him he arches his neck and gives me a blissful kiss.

"I love you, Dick." He whispers the moment our lips stop touching.

"I love you too." I tell him his eyes glow at me and the only thing I can see is him right now. I love you so much Wally.

By the time we get inside we're drenched from head to toe but the smile on my face has yet to disappear.

"Tell me why you couldn't just run us back into the house." I ask him.

"Because it's much more romantic to run around in the rain." He tells me and gives me another kiss.

"And what shall we do now Mr. Romantic?" I ask him.

"Shower." He tells me.

"That's it?" I ask him.

"Together" He says.

"That's better." My smile gets wider and we head upstairs together. And even the bathroom was decorated candles were lit and rose petals were in the tub.

"Hey have you ever thought of not going by every romantic movie you watch?" I ask him.

"Nope, because cliché is my thing." He tells me and hugs me. "Plus you like it better this way." He says kissing me. Right on our honeymoon he tried new things and they weren't nearly as good as they are when he goes by the book. After the bath I assume it's all over until Wally pulls me downstairs into the kitchen.

"Wally you're too much!" I tell him laughing at the sight of the kitchen. There's a huge picture from our wedding on the wall and Alfred is playing the piano. I look at the table and stare at the food which looks really delicious I can't wait to taste it. Wally pulls out a chair for me and takes the seat next to mine.

"Okay Dick say 'ah'." He tells me holding a fork to my mouth.

Red Arrow

"Hey Roy feel like riding a pony any time soon?" I ask Roy.

"I am assuming we're talking in code." He tells me.

"Ya I need your help big time."

"And why is that?" He asks.

"Well you know Wally and Nightwing are spending an entire week at Batman's house right?" I ask him

"I was there."

"Well that sets me an entire week back."

"Back on what? You're not playing a game."

"Life is a game Roy and it's not over until you're dead. Anyway I need your help." I tell him.

"And that is?" He asks.

"I need help creating another 'misunderstanding' when Wally and Nightwing get back." I smirk at him and he just curiously stares at me.

And that's what happens at the Wayne Manor.
