Chapter ten
(Anesthesia's theme plays)
The crowd began to boo as Anesthesia's entrance played and the champion herself walked out on stage.
"The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring, She is the Rose of Roses Champion the Dark nightingale Anesthesia!" called the announcer
Anesthesia merely ignored the boos, and walked down the ring with the title secured around her waist.
("This Sunday at battleground Anesthesia will go one on one with Reiko Hinomoto for Roses of Roses title. And I don't know about you Peg, but it seems to me the champ, isn't too concerned, about her opponent.") Wade said
("Of course she doesn't. Anesthesia's a strategic veteran and the ultimate opportunist, she's sees an opportunity she grabs it and doesn't let go.") Peggy replied
Anesthesia slid into the ring, showing off the title to the raucous crowd. Anesthesia's music ended and Candy Cane's started and she also came out to a chorus of boos.
"And her tag team partner from Canada, No future Candy Cane!" called the announcer
("Candy Cane will be one of the thirty women at Battleground, one women will go on to headline to main event Date With Destiny, and she could very well be that woman.")
("I don't disagree with you Wade, but she'll have to go through 30 women to reach that goal.")
Candy Cane merely walked through ropes and stared at the entrance way. Miss Spencer's theme played and the International Champion came out to cheers.
"From Canada, she is the International Champion Task master Miss Spencer!" said the announcer
("Miss Spencer has been on a roll since winning the International Champ ship. She like Candy Cane also has a chance to win the Battleground match. And who could forget that two weeks ago, Miss Spencer made the Rose Of Roses champion tap out.") Wade reported
("No doubt, Miss Spencer may have got herself in the title picture regardless of whether or not she wins the Battleground match.) Peggy replied
Miss Spencer climbed on the top turnbuckle raising her title in the air much to the delight of the crowd. Her music ended and Reiko's began and the crowd went wild.
"And her tag team partner, Zero fighter Reiko Hinomoto!"
("Reiko is looking to build so momentum going into Battleground, she is looking to become a two time Roses of Roses champion." )
("She's certainly fired up, and- would you look at that! Reiko's going after Anesthesia.") said Peggy
Sure enough, Reiko went after Anesthesia, while Candy Cane and Miss Spencer went to their respective corners. The ref sounded the bell starting this match. Reiko whipped Anesthesia into the buckle hard.
("Good strategy on Hinomoto's part going after the champion right from the get go.") Wade
("Its obvious she wants to wear the champion down before their match this Sunday.")
Reiko followed it up with some low kicks to the mid section. Reiko whipped Anesthesia cross to the other buckle, Reiko went after but caught a foot to the face, then Anesthesia hit an elbow knocking Reiko down, The champion took a second to shake off the effects of the earlier attack. Quick enough she hastily tagged in Candy Cane, who jumped and began the attack on Reiko, with some ground and pound punches. The ref pulled Candy Cane off, allowing Reiko to get back up. Cane struck from behind driving Hinomoto into the ropes. The schoolgirl whipped Reiko across the ropes, missed with the clothesline and got a cross body pin, but Reiko only got a two count. She glanced over at her partner Miss Spencer as she held out her hand, Reiko happily obliged her and tagged her in.
("Uh oh, its class is in session for the schoolgirl.") said Wade
Miss Spencer surprised Candy Cane with multiple shots to the face, then kick to the gut, she then whipped Cane across only to for a reversal, Cane hit a high knee to the face of Spencer knocking her down. Cane went for the long legs of Spencer and hit a high knee breaker, then another then another.
("Good strategy on Candy Cane's part take out Spencer's power base.) Wade said
Spencer steadily got back to her feet, Cane hit shots to the back then turned her around and hit a knee to the mid section, she quickly lifted Spencer up for a suplex, then went for a cover but just got a one count. Candy Cane tagged in the Roses of Roses Champion Anesthesia wrenched the right arm, in a submission move. Spencer fought out and picked up Anesthesia by the waist and hit a side slam creating seperation.
("This is a critcal moment, Spencer has got to make the tag.") Peggy said
Sure enough she tagged in her partner, and the crowd cheered in approval, then Anesthesia quickly tagged in her partner, and ducked outta ring at the last second. Candy Cane and Reiko went at it. Candy Cane whipped across the ring only to get reversed, and Reiko hit a high back body drop, Hinomoto pulled Cane up to her feet and hit a reverse STO, then headed up to the top turnbuckle from opposite her side.
("Reiko is feeling it now, she's going for that patented Elbow drop) Wade said
And sure enough she hit it dead on, much to the delight of the crowd. Hinomoto went for the cover but was quickly broken up by Anesthesia. Spencer injected herself in by driving the nightingale into the corner.
("The ref has lost all control here.")
The two teams battled it out, while Reiko and Candy Cane were the legal women. Spencer and Anesthesia fought to the outside. Candy Cane was about go for her school driver pin, but as quick as a cat Reiko slipped out and hit the sunrise superkick(Shawn Micheals sweet chin music) and got the three count. And the crowd cheered
"Here are your winners! Reiko Hinomoto and The international champion Miss Spencer!" said the announcer
(Rekio is buliding momentum for Battleground.) Wade said
(We could have a new Roses of Roses champion this sunday.") Peggy replied
Anesthesia shook Spencer off grabbed her title and went up the rampway sneering at both Reiko and Spencer, Reiko pointed to her and made a motion for the title.
("Thank you ladies and gentlemen for joining us here tonight and we'll see you at Battleground. Goodnight.") Wade said

End Notes: I know I said Battleground was going to be one chapter. But real life isn't cutting me any breaks. But I endure, I keep going because thats what I do. And with everything that's going on lately with WWE its going be at tad more difficult to match the Roses with current favorite and least favorite wrestlers in WWE and NXT. Next chapter I promise is Battleground who will win. Let me know who should please R&R and be cool.
