How long has it been? Am I still alive? Aaah, very sorry. School, home and just basically life got in the way of me updating. But I think I might start something now, for the pleasure of my very few readers J

Summary: She was always good at hiding. Hiding objects, people, herself and her emotions. Hiding her emotions to the extent that even she couldn't realize them. She preferred it this way, because this way she never needed to tell people everything and more importantly, trust them. He was always a bit ahead of everyone, running from his emotions. Busy with his work, his training, his duties, he hardly ever had time to think, let alone do simple things such as smiling, laughing, having fun and enjoying life. When these two crash, and are forced to trust each other when faced against a mutual enemy, will they manage? Or will they go down before that? Read to find out...

The Cobra's Abode

Letter sent to a selected few people around the world:

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to inform you of a successful experiment we have been running for a few years now. It started 13 years ago, and has produced satisfactory results.

Basically, the idea is to create a perfect new generation. It is to get rid of the flaws, and make the world a better place to live in, starting at the beginning with the children. We use modified medicines, and so far they have been tried out on children of every kind with no side effects. It has even been known to prevent diseases later in life, and helps the children be brilliant in all aspects.

If you would like to sign your child up, please reply back on the email noted above. For best results, please leave your child from when they are 6 till they are at least 16.

Thanking you.

Cobra.

This letter was sent to successful families with large businesses; the families who would want the hereditary child to be perfect.

Reader's P.O.V.

Cobra read over this information, and all the other sheets attached to it. Python watched him carefully, alert for any change in expression; this was hard since he was one of the people who had a constant frown on his face while he read. After a few more minutes, he put the files on his desk, and leant back on his chair.

Python relaxed, but she should have known better. He suddenly stood up and came round the table to where she was sitting; startled, she wasn't fast enough to catch up with him. He grabbed her hands and pulled her up roughly, all the time looking at the huge clock on the wall impatiently. They stayed suspended there for a while, and then he turned around to look at her with a maniacal smile on his face.

"Syaoran Li. Sakura Kinomoto. They have met, and escaped together. Small world, isn't it?" the silently whispered words gave her goose bumps, and she slowly made herself look into those eyes. Those demonic eyes. The ones who had watched much pain and anger, but managed to laugh through it all. The same eyes she had fallen for, unknowingly, and the ones that had taken everything from her. The very eyes, of the very person, who had made her what she was now.

She knew she couldn't honestly say she hated him, but she did hate what he had become. But it was too late now, and she would just have to live with it.

She managed a small smile, and he just stared down coldly her. Then, there came a flare in his eyes, one of such passion that she thought he would explode. He let her go, and stalked out of the room, shouting at that he had work.

She knew she wouldn't see him tonight.
