Night had fallen on the citizens of San Francisco. Luckily, this night didn't have a torrential downpour of rain. It was a clear, starless night as the people of the city enjoyed the brisk weather. With it being a Friday, some people had the unfortunate luck of having to get ready for their daily routines once again tomorrow. Others, the more spirited ones, decided to enjoy their time and night with a little bit more fun and risque activity.
The popular bar and restaurant, Quake, the same restaurant that Piper Halliwell had a job interview for the exact same day, was bustling with said activity.
Some people came to have a strong drink after a hard day's work. Some people came to finish their day off with good food and good company. Others were there to drown out whatever sorrow that had befallen them that day. Two patrons to be exact, Prue and Phoebe Halliwell, were there just trying to get a hold of a certain… 'situation'.
A drink in front of her, Prue gave her baby sister another one of her chastising looks. "The Chosen Ones? The Charmed Ones? Phoebe, this is insane."
Phoebe was slightly becoming annoyed and fed up with her two older sisters and younger cousin at this point. None of them believed her or what she had read out of the 'Book of Shadows' she found the night before. But, she knew what she read. And she knew what happened to her today that made her end up in the hospital wasn't just happenstance or coincidence. Phoebe knew that her family had to have been a part of something great. Something big.
"Are you telling me that nothing strange happened to you today? You didn't freeze time? Become invisible? You didn't move anything? Nothing?!" Phoebe asked, sounding more like a plead.
Prue continued to gaze at Phoebe with a quizzical look, "Roger took an exhibit away from me."
Letting out a huge, frustrated sigh, Phoebe slightly turned away from Prue. It was clear her frustration was getting the best of her and Prue could see it written all over her face. "All right, look, Phoebe, I know that you think you can see the future... Which is pretty ironic-"
"Since you don't think I have one?" Phoebe cut in, her frustration growing. It was one thing that Prue didn't believe her when she spoke about their witch inheritance. But for her to go a step beyond that and continuously down her shortcomings as she always did was enough to send Phoebe into overdrive. "That my vision of life is cloudy compared to your perfect hell?" Phoebe continued.
Prue looked away, back towards her drink. Phoebe couldn't tell, but it seemed that Prue had the faintest look of guilt on her face. Years of bad blood between them made it hard for Phoebe to read her oldest sister, however, so she couldn't tell if Prue was actually feeling guilty or brushing her off. "Even if you don't want to believe me... Just once, can't you trust me?"
Pursing her lips, not wanting to talk about this any further, Prue looked Phoebe dead in her eyes. "Phoebe... I do not have special powers," Prue stated firmly. And that was all she had left to say about witches and special powers. Quite frankly, her day was already bad without having to think of her baby sister's antics. Sighing, she took a glance at the drink in front of her. She frowned at it, saying, "Now, where's the cream?"
The next thing that either of the two women knew, the metal container containing the cream seemingly moved by itself, gliding right in front of them and stopping dead center. Prue's eyes widened in a mixture of shock and fear. Phoebe, however, merely smirked. "Really? That looked pretty special to me."
As soon as she said that, the cream inside of the container began to fill up Prue's drink by itself. Or that's the way it seemed as it filled the cup and drink up to the brim, bubbles forming at the top once the cream filled the drink to capacity.
All Prue could do was blink profusely. She couldn't believe what she just saw. She didn't WANT to believe it! All of this was completely crazy! "Oh, my God," she muttered to herself, continuing to blink at her drink, which was now filled with cream. She turned to Phoebe, who still had her smirk on her face. It seemed that she had the proper evidence to get Prue to believe her, FINALLY.
"So, um… I can move things with my mind?!" Prue asked frantically.
Nodding, Phoebe answered, "With how much you hold inside, you should be a lethal weapon by now."
Prue covered her mouth with her hand, the shock of this entire day starting to overwhelm her. The headache she had been fighting off since dealing with Roger had threatened to overcome her. It was the beginnings of a migraine. She closed her eyes and groaned. "I don't believe it," she muttered softly.
Phoebe was thinking about the other two members of the family. "So this must mean Piper and Paige can either become invisible and freeze time…" her voice trailed off, wondering which of the two received either power. This was fascinating to her! Her big sister didn't seem to be taking the revelation so well, though.
Snatching a nearby shot off the bar table, Prue downs an entire double shot of tequila in seconds. Phoebe was always a whisky drinker, so to see Prue down a shot of tequila made her slightly cringe. Partly because it was tequila she was drinking and partly because she knew Prue wasn't taking news of her powers lightly. "Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not okay," Prue snapped, her glare returning as she pointed it at Phoebe. "You turned me into a witch!"
Phoebe lets out a small giggle, "You were born one. We all were." She takes another glance at her sister, who becomes more and more panicky as the seconds wear on. "And I think we better start to deal with it."
As far as she was concerned, Phoebe was certain that things were only going to become more and more outrageous and insane.
