Hey I'm not dead. Which means AiConShinShi is finally back in business after an eternity. I'm sorry for this extremely long update. It's been a while, so I thank you all for your patience in me. Recently I've been watching new anime series, and is hooked on to several of them. So you better expect fanfictions other than Detective Conan. :) But don't worry, I will definitely finish this story and match your expectations. I hope you enjoy, and drop a review. Note to you guys: I haven't been writing since my last update. I think my grammar has gone down the drain, so leave some feedback. And now time for the story.

-Next Day 6:00 am(At the Kudo's Breakfast Table)-

Conan and Ai entered the kitchen with Yukiko cooking and Yusaku reading a newspaper.

"Ohayo Oka-san, Otou-san." Ai and Conan drowsily said as they took a seat.

"So did my children have fun yesterday night?" Yukiko asked. Both teenagers replied with a simple nod. No expressions were shown to the two adults. Yukiko, who was a little annoyed with their attitude, decided to tease them in order to wake them up.

"But do you want to know something interesting? I didn't find either of you in your rooms last night." Yukiko said, having a smirk on her face. Hearing this, Conan and Ai were wide awake.

"What do you mean Oka-san?" Conan said skeptically.

"I was pretty sure I was in my room. Oka-san you were probably imagining things." Ai said as she maintained her calm facade.

"Ah ah ah. You can't lie to your mother like that." Yukiko said as she pulled out a picture from her pocket. Within it included Conan giving Ai a kiss on her forehead as he wrapped a necklace around her neck.

"Where did you get that?" Conan said, blushing, as he reached for it. Yukiko, with amazing reflexes, pulled it back before her son could grab it.

"Can't we have some privacy." Ai said, with a flustered face, obviously annoyed with Yukiko's stalking nature.

"But where's the fun of that." Yukiko said as she pulled out more pictures. There were ones that included them hugging, kissing, etc.

Now Ai was clearly aggravated, and something within her snapped. "Oka-san, you're just a woman who can't get her youth back and because of it you constantly butt into your children's relationship. You should understand that your time is up." Ai retorted with an icy tone.

As quickly as Ai said it, she regretted it. Yukiko fell to the ground crying. Ai immediately reacted by comforting and apologizing to her. (IT'S A TRAP!)

Within seconds Yukiko pinned her to the ground. Yukiko, like the person she is, loves to abuse her acting abilities.

"Oka-san what are you doing." Ai said, struggling to escape. But this 47 year old woman looks stronger than her appearance.

"You'll regret what you said, Ai-chan." Yukiko said with a wicked voice. A dark aura slowly surrounded her, scaring her husband and son out of the room.

After they left Yukiko secured Ai's hands with a cloth and moved onto tickling her.

Laughter and frequent, "Oka-san forgive me", could be heard all over the house. Conan and Yusaku were outside of the room listening to the torture that Ai was experiencing.

"You do know that Ka-san is insane." Conan said looking at his father.

"Yeah I know." Yusaku said with a straight face, while taking a sip of his coffee.

-15 Minutes Later-

Ai comes out of the room with her clothes wrinkled. Tears on the side of her eyes could still be seen. She went upstairs ignoring the two men. Yukiko soon appeared greeting her son and husband with a bright smile on her face.

'Women are scary.' Conan and Yusaku shuddering from that thought.

"Breakfast is ready." Yukiko cheerfully announced.

Meanwhile in Ai's room.

'Oka-san can be troublesome at times. But I guess that's what makes her loveable.' Ai thought as she changed into her spare uniform.

'I'm going to regret what I promised her.' Ai thought while letting out a heavy sigh. She left the room to join her family in the dining room.

-Teitan High School (One Hour Later Before Period 1 Started)-

BAM! (There goes the school budget).

Right when Ran saw Conan, she unleashed her karate at him. He dodged right on time, letting the chalkboard take all the damage.

"Conan-kun." Ran said raising her voice. She cracked her knuckles as she walked towards her so called brother.

"Ran-neechan." Conan stuttered as he slowly backed away.

"You haven't contacted us for eight years." Ran furiously replied as she was ready to take him down with her heel drop.

"Gomen. Gomen Ran-neechan." Conan apologetically said, almost on his knees.

Ai couldn't do anything but giggle at her boyfriend's misery. The only thing that she received was a glare from Conan.

After 10 minutes of apologizing, Ran went on to introducing Conan to the class. Upon seeing him, the three Shounen Tantei members immediately waved at him in order to get his attention.

"I'm Kudou Conan. But some of you might know me as Edogawa Conan. I like reading mystery novels. Nice to meet you." Conan said casually.

Immediately the girls in the class began squealing.

'Isn't he a popular one.' Ai thought as she slumped over the table, giving Conan no attention.

"Any questions." Ran asked. Immediately the first hand went up.

A girl by the name Kawasaki asked,"Do you have a girlfriend, Kudou-kun?"

'Of course that's the first question. Typical.' Ai thought as she let out a light sigh. 'The female hormones these days.'

Conan quickly glanced at Ai, who just gave the 'go on' gesture, and then replied, "No."

There were girls already straightening their skirts, fixing their hair, and putting on perfume.

Ran then assigned Conan the seat next to Ai. Of course by doing so increased the amount of glares given to Ai.

'Can this day get any better.' Ai thought as she lightly banged her head on the table.

"Why did it have to be you?" Ai grumbled.

"I thought you love having me around." Conan sarcastically said.

Ai gave him a light punch on his arm. "Leave me alone."

"Typical ice queen." Conan replied.

"If I'm the typical ice queen, then you're the friendly neighborhood death magnet. The police always get their work cut out for them whenever you're around." Ai countered. Both of them looked at each other and then smiled as they know that nothing has changed between the two of them. No matter where they go, they always argue and fight. But they both know that it's from these arguments, born a relationship that is inseparable.

Meanwhile Ayumi and Mitsuhiko were staring at the two teenagers knowing that there is more than what meets the eye. Ever since witnessing the events from yesterday, they're suspicious about the relationship between their two friends.

The lesson continued until lunchtime.

"Ai-chan, Conan-kun lets have lunch outside together." Ayumi said with a bright smile on her face. Genta and Mitsuhiko were by her side waiting for an answer.

"Sure." Conan and Ai said as they joined the Shounen Tantei.

-Outside-

The Shounen Tantei talked like they normally did 8 years ago. Nothing has changed between Genta, Ayumi, and Mitsuhiko. Their activities and hobbies remained the same, and they maintained their detective work even though they fail every time.

Soon their lunch was disturbed when a soccer ball landed a few feet away from them. There were a few kids from the soccer field waving to see if anyone could kick the ball back to them.

Conan immediately looked at Ai sending the message, "I wanna. I wanna. I wanna."

Ai knows this reaction all too well. She understood that the two things that excites Conan include mysteries and soccer. He can be childish and stubborn when it comes to these topics and activities.

"Anyone up for some soccer." Ai said to the group. The reply included nods from everyone within the group. With that Ayumi and Ai went to change into their spare track pants.

On the field the Shounen Tantei were going against 5 boys from the same class. But the game went one sided. The score ended up being 7-1 in favor of the Shounen Tantei. Conan ended up with a double hat trick, while Ai scored one herself.

"This is why I hate exercise." Ai said as she fanned herself. "Why do humans have to sweat? Sweat seems unnecessary for our body. It's just releasing unnecessary lipids and proteins within our body. Urination and excretion already fill up those roles."

"And you call me a smart ass all the time. If you hate sweat so much why did play varsity soccer in America." Conan replied.

Ai didn't say anything, but instead glared at him.

While this was happening the 8 other kids were dumbstruck as the two of them gave quite a performance.

"HOW! WHAT! AI-CHAN!" Ayumi said. She couldn't believe the once unfit girl is such an amazing soccer player.

"Long story." Ai hastily said, avoiding any possible questions that they were about to ask. "It's time to go back. Class is about to start again."

With that their lunch ended. But it just arose more questions as the three friends understood that the two of them had changed more than they have in the past 8 years.

Before they knew it school ended.

"Conan-kun. Haibara-san. Want to go to the park after school?" Mitsuhiko asked.

"Sorry guys. But we have to finish moving into our home. Maybe tomorrow." Conan said. "Let's go Ai."

"Conan-kun why are you calling Haibara-san by her first name?" Mitsuhiko said, finally noticing.

"Eh heh heh. You see." Conan uncomfortably laughed. He looked at Ai, asking for help.

"It's all yours." Ai said leaving the poor boy to the wrath of the Shounen Tantei.

But suddenly she felt a feeling that she haven't felt for a very long time. It struck her like a knife as she fell down. Her eyes were filled with fear. 'It's them. It's the organization.'
