Me and Rei were in bed naked, cuddling each other. It was our first time, and boy did we ensure it would be the best time. She was all nuzzled up into my chest. After a while, the door opened and Matsudo walked in.

"Hey Johnathan, the bus is re-" He paused, seeing us in bed and then looking over to both our clothes on the ground. He just seized up and looked at me. "Do...I have you at a bad time?"

"Uh...no. We are just cuddling. We arleady went past the..." I just paused, feeling super awkward.

"Well, the bus is ready. We only have 10 hours to get that equipment." He nodded and went out, closing the door. Me and Rei looked at each other.

"We need to go." I said, getting up and getting dressed. Rei got dressed next to me and we headed outside to the parking lot. I was in awe looking at the bus. It had metal armor on the sides and front of the bus, it had fences that covered the windows with some having holes for guns to be shot from, metal spikes were protruding out of the sides of the bus, and it had a ladder where the roof emergency escape would be, leading to a mounted machine gun (I think it was a Browning). I then climbed inside the vehicle and saw that there was a hatch made into the floor, where grenades can be thrown while on the move. I also noticed a chest in the back with a platform leaned against it. Possibly for ammunition and whatnot. I looked out one of the windows. "Yeah. Now this is considered badass!" I yelled to Matsudo, grinning like an idiot. I then see everyone walk out to look at the bus. I headed out of the bus. "Alright, so who is coming with me?"I looked at the crowd, seeing if anyone would come forward. Takashi was the first to step forward.

"I will. I plan on making it out of here." He said as he stepped forward. Then Rei stepped forward.

"I will never leave your side, Johnathan." She told me. Next, Kohta stepped forward.

"You are an amazing guy, Johnny. It is a privelege to fight by your side." He proudly exclaimed. The next people to step forward were Saya, Shizuka, Souichiro, Takashi and Saeko. As they boarded the bus, Saeko approached me, having a katana in her hand. She then handed it to me.

"I found this while out scavenging after you and Rei returned." She said to me in her usual calm voice as I took it from her hand. I pulled the katana out of its sheath so only a bit of the blade is out. The metal gleamed in the sunlight as I looked at my reflection, seeing that my wounds from Quintin have healed a bit. I sheathed the katana and looked at Saeko.

"Thanks, Saeko." I said with a smile. She simply bowed and walked inside the bus. I then saw Matsudo beginning to walk back inside.

"Hey Matsudo?" I called to him, and he turned toward me. "I think you should come with us."

"Why? What use would I be?" He asked curiously. I walked to him.

"You're a handyman and a mechanic, right? Well, if something goes wrong with our transportation, we'll have someone with us who has some knowledge." I pulled out a handgun and haned it to him. "Can you use a gun?" He looked up at me.

"Yes I can. Souichiro gave me training." He took the handgun and put it away in one of his pockets. "Let's get moving!" He got onto the bus, and I followed. We all got settled in, and Shizuka decided to be the driver. I slowly inhaled and exhaled as we drove through the gates, after a few people opened the way for us.

I peered through the fenced windows after leaving the Shintoko school and saw that there was a huge mob of undead in the way of the radioshop. I mean, the herd was a block wide.

"Jesus, Kohta. You weren't lying about the large number of them!" I said to him in shock.

"Yeah. Either something drew them out to this area, or they are more active in the evening." Kohta stated, looking out one of the windows as well. I squinted, seeing a group of them crouched down. They were eating a male. His stomach was tore open, and a large part of his intestines were missing. He wasn't a fresh kill. I looked forward, seeing the radio shop. Shizuka pulled up to the two-story building and we had a discussion on who should head inside the building. It was then decided that me, Takashi, Kohta, Saeko, and Rei go in, grab the equipment and set the building on fire to create a diversion. We set the plank across the bus and the roof. We entered through one of the windows in the building, one by one.

As soon as we were inside, it was pitch black. Takashi and I took out flashlights and we clicked them on. We were in a rectangular room, with a door leading out. I glance around, seeing car radios and a bunch of wires.

"Well, I don't see anything of use in here." I softly whisper, hoping to not attract any attention of any unknown visitors. I walked to the door and slowly go through it.

"We need to be silent. Who knows what...or who could be here." Saeko stated, whispering as well. We were in a 4-way hall, with stairs in the middle of the 4 hallways.

"We should split up. We need to search as fast as we can. The vehicle's engine will attract much of the undead." I recommended, as we walked around. I walked into one of the rooms and looked around. I scanned the flashlight across the room. I saw some wires that can probably be used for repairing and a soldering kit, so I packed the items into my backpack. As I did so, I heard a noise coming from the bottom floor. It sounded like a can of some sort rolled across the floor. I headed outside the room, where the others were.

"What was that?" Takashi whispered.

"I don't know. But we should check it out." I whispered back, slowly making my way to the stairs. My M1911 was in my outstretched hand.

"Be careful, Johnathan. I don't like this..." Kohta warned me, as he aimed an M4A1 over my shoulder. I took a deep breath and I slowly stepped down the stairs, foot after foot. The stairs groaned and creeked with every step. I finally placed my foot on the first floor and scanned the flashlight across the room, revealing an oil lamp on a desk. It looked like it was recently put out. I turned around and next to the stairs was a back room with an iron door. I slowly walked to it and knocked, keeping myself out of the doorway.

"We mean no harm! All we are looking for is some radio equipment! You are welcome to join us if you want!" I hollered to the person, or people, on the other side of the door. No response, but I did hear some shuffling.

"Alright, we are coming in!" I yelled, as I kicked the door down. I immediately had my gun pointed in the room, seeing two people: a middle-aged man and a female who looked like she was in her twenties or thirties. She had tanned skin and had purple hair. She was also wearing a black combat suit with a bulletproof vest underneath, a white choker, shooting glasses and, since her suit was somewhat open, I saw that she was wearing a sports bra underneath. The male had on a police uniform, had to have been a detective. Wait...

"Who are you people..?" I ask slowly, trying to be as friendly as possible.

"I'm Detective Tadashi Miyamoto. And you are?" He responded to me, while following up with a question. I didn't answer. I slowly lowered my gun. He gave a confusing look at me as I did so. I felt a pair of hands push past me as I saw Rei looking at him out of my peripheral. Tadashi immediately spotted her and lowered his handgun, in disbelief. "Rei..?"

"Dad!" Rei yelled, as she ran to him and quickly embraced him in a hug. Tadashi nearly flew backward from her hug, which was almost a tackle. He then hugged her back, and I swore that I saw a tear run down his right cheek. "I...I thought...you'd be dead..." Rei managed to choke out between sobs.

"Me too..." Tadashi replied quietly, trying not to cry. I stepped forward.

"I'd hate to interrupt you two, but we are in a hurry. We are looking for-"

"Radio equipment. Yes, we have it." The female interrupted, finishing my sentence and answering what I was abput to ask after. "What do you need it for?"

"There will be a missile heading toward this city in 2 hours. We need to hurry and get out of here." I answered, looking at her. She gave a look of concern.

"Okay. Did you arrive with a vehicle?"

"Yes. We got a fully-armored modified school bus waiting outside."

"Then we better get going then, hm?" She said with a slight smirk. She turned around, bent over to pick something up and stood back up with a PSG-1 in her hands. Tadashi then grabbed a backpack.

"It's already in there. Let's go." He said, as he walked to us. I nodded and lead the way to the window we entered from. I then ordered them to cross one at a time. I then took out my zippo lighter. Tadashi, who was the only one in the building with me, saw me do so.

"What are you doing?" He questioned me.

"I'm going to burn this place down." I answered, looking at him. He then gave me a strange look. So I followed up with: "As a distraction."

"Well, I do have some oil." He took out the bottle and handed it to me. I thanked him and began to douse the computers, papers and electronics with the oil. After that, I trailed it to the window where the board was. I then took a rag out of my backpack and dabbed the oil on the rag. I then sat on the board, lit the rag and tossed it in the building. The room lit up with a flash of orange, and I slid down the board onto the roof of the bus. I then looked around and saw that the bus is being swarmed. I then hopped inside the bus from the roof and saw Shizuka and Rika hugging each other.

"Shizuka, drive NOW!" I yelled in panic, worrying about both the building exploding and the hordes approaching. She then looked outside and immediately hopped in the driver seat. She began to drive, but the bus slowed to a halt due to the masses. The undead were grabbing against the fence windows and growled in their endless hunger.

"We're gonna have to shoot and stab our way out!" I then ran to the storage container and tossed a shotgun to Tadashi as he caught it. I then took out the katana that Saeko gave to me as the others armed up.

"These bastards just won't let up!" Takashi shouted. I then began to stab the walkers in the head from the fencing. The others either opened fire at them or began to stab them, ranging from pistols and blades of all types. I never bothered looking. Someone tapped me on the shoulder. It was Rika. She had a grenade in her hand. She then began to yell over the gunshots.

""Pull this pin and-" She began.

"I know how to use a grenade!" I interrupted, taking it and quickly climbing to the roof. I glazed around and looked ahead of us, seeing where to toss the grenade. Bingo! I can toss it in the middle of the horde! I use my other hand to place my middle finger inside the pin.

Click!

I pulled the pin and waited for one second, I then tossed the grenade in the middle of the crowd and jumped down into the bus. With a flash of light, an explosion rang out and sent blood and body parts flying everywhere. I looked ahead and saw that only a few undead were standing.

"Floor it, Shizuka!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and she pressed on the gas pedal with all her might, rolling over them. As we drove away, a huge flash of orange lit up the area and windows were blown out of the radio shop. I look back one more time, seeing the radio shop in flames.

We ran out of the bus when we reached the parking lot and ran to the exact same room where we put the radio in and scrambled to put the radio equipment together. I then set up the mic and then spoke into it:

"My name is Johnathan Arison. I am not the only person alive. I am with a few hundred other survivors. We are in need of food, supplies, resources and transportation. Call off the bombing run. We are at Shintoko Third Elementary School."

I nearly sat there for almost a few hours, saying the same thing at different frequencies. I then just gave up and sighed. I just sat in the chair, slumped forward with my face hiding in my hands. A while later, a response.

"Whoever delivered the message, please comply!" An authority-filled voice went through the speakers. I recognized the voice: it was The President of the United States. I instantly shot up and grabbed the mic.

"Yes, yes, I'm here! I'm glad to hear you, Mr. President!" I said, my voice shaking in both nervousness and excitement.

"Don't worry, Johnathan. The military will arrive to escort you survivors out of there. It shall arive tomorrow night. May God be with you."

I then immediately hopped out of the chair and ran to the commons area and told everyone the news, and they all cheered and applauded in excitement. Finally...it'll be over soon.
