Trio
(Disclaimer: Don't own Glee or any of the songs.)
When Sam and Tina approached him for a number, Blaine quickly agreed. He didn't care what song or what range, he would always say yes to any performance because he loved throwing himself at the task. It turned out that seeing as the year was almost over, the three of them had never done a number together, and they needed to change that as soon as possible.
After searching and thinking and brainstorming, the three of them came up with the best song by one of the best groups ever. After thinking, Blaine didn't think anyone in glee had ever done a song by Destiny's Child, well that he knew of, so they went with 'Jumpin' Jumpin.'
It was so much fun, singing and performing the song that was totally not the three of them at all, but it didn't matter. None of them were bad asses, but it was nice to act like they were. They all were in tune with one another, and Blaine couldn't believe that they waited until now to do this.
They ended with a flourish, laughing and having a blast with one another. The room cheered them on, and it was just nice to start the week off with an amazing number with his two best friends here.
"You guys, that was amazing, but-um-I don't think it's right for Nationals," Mr. Schue said after the room quieted down.
"Yeah, cause Unique will not be standing in the background swaying while you guys go all Three-yoncé in the spot light," Unique said, holding up her hands to prove a point.
"Why does everything you say have to sound like that?" Kitty muttered with a fake smile.
"We know it's not right for Nationals," Tina spoke up, gaining the attention back. "We just wanted to do it for fun."
"Yeah, we were talking, and we realized that we never actually done a number together," Blaine said, taking a step forward.
Sam hopped down from the piano, joining Blaine and Tina. "You know, as seniors we realize we were running out of time and we wanted to feel the power of a trio."
"Which I learned in my senior math class is about twenty-five percent less powerful than a quartet," Artie pointed out, and Blaine just smiled.
"Well I'm really glad that you guys did that." The teacher stood up and moved closer to the three. "You probably don't realize this, but these are friendships that you are really going to cherish for the rest of your lives." Sam wrapped his arms around both Blaine and Tina, pulling them in for a hug. "You gotta squeeze in as many experiences you can because for you seniors, you're all going to be going your separate ways soon."
That was what did it. Tina turned towards them, and Blaine saw the sad expression, the tears about to form and her small whining. A Tina break down was something that they tried to avoid. "Oh, no, no, no, no. Tina, don't."
"No, Tina," Sam muttered.
"No, no, no, no, no." Blaine reached out and tried to get her to calm down, but it wasn't working.
Both boys tried to comfort her, and they failed. Sam even resulted in shouting, thinking that it would work, but it only made things worse. "NO! NO!"
"You don't have to cry!" Blaine tried, calmer. He pulled the girl in and both him and Sam wrapped their arms around her while Blaine kept murmuring sweet things. "It's okay. No! We're here! We're here for you!"
"Tina!" Artie called, wheeling over to the three that were embracing. "Guys!" He held out his hands as Blaine and Sam looked at him. "Okay, huh?" He leaned forward and tried to hug them, but Blaine wasn't having it.
"No, you had your turn." He pushed him away and went back to hugging the girl. Artie hogged Tina last week, being nice and sweet to her, so it was his and Sam's turn to have a week with her.
"I'm gonna miss you guys," she said, sounding more like herself. They had to be doing something right.
"It's okay," Blaine whispered back. "We're going to miss you too."
After getting her calmed down, Mr. Schue went on to tell the group that there really isn't a lesson for the week, just trying to find numbers that they should do for Nationals. Blaine walked out with Sam, while Tina hurried away, talking about having to meet with Marley and Unique,
He pulled out his phone, and sent a text message to Kurt. They always liked to joke around about Tina, seeing as Kurt was still sore over the whole vapor-rape thing.
To: Kurt (4:37 P.M.)
Tina breakdowns for graduation have officially started. One and counting. ;)
"She's something, isn't she?" Blaine asked after pocketing his phone, stopping at his locker.
"Yeah she is, but I think her epic breakdowns are what makes her Tina, even though it's hard to control or make her happy again. I bet that during this week she'll cry at least four times."
"No way," he said. "Give her a little credit, Sam. I bet only two times because graduation is still three weeks away."
"Oh god, wait until then." Sam closed his eyes, falling against the lockers. "I love her, but I don't know if I'll be able to deal with her that week."
"I think we are all going to be a mess. I know that I will because I will miss this place so much, and I'll miss all of you guys."
"It's still three weeks away. We have Nationals to worry about before we get there, so let's focus on that, and keep Tina's mind on that. That way no more breakdowns."
"No more breakdowns," Blaine agreed as he shut his locker. The two of them walked down the hallway together. Blaine had driven to the boy to school, so they were headed to his car.
"Hey, Blaine," he said after they reached it. Blaine looked up, stopping in front of the car.
"You and me, we're best friends right?"
Blaine rolled his eye before shoving the boy. "You know we are. I wouldn't have gotten through this school year if you weren't here for me. You helped me through my breakup, through me wanting to transfer, through my ridiculous crush on you-"
"That you still have by the way," he interrupted playfully.
"I have a fiancé, so I think that the crush has fizzled out." He shook his head. "I never thought that you and me could have so much in common, and I'm so happy that I took a chance with you as my vice president because it led to Blam."
"I still like Slaine," he muttered, but smiled nonetheless. "I didn't think so either though. I mean you're gay and I'm straight, and like Kurt was the total opposite, so it was strange when I found out you were actually a dude. We really connected."
"We did, and I'm glad that I found myself a best friend through my senior year, and no matter what happens after graduation, we will always be best friends. I think you are planning on New York, and I'm moving there to be with Kurt, so I don't think this bromance is going to stop anytime soon."
"Good," Sam said with a proud smile. "I have been worried because I don't know how I'll be able to like function without you here to support my decisions and to be my bro. New York or not, we are always going to be Blam, and I am totally going to be the best man at your wedding."
"Of course," Blaine said, moving his hands to add emphasis. "I don't know who could pull that role off better than you. The real question is do you think you are going to be able to handle Kurt-zilla?"
They both laughed, and Sam nodded. "I think I'll be fine, but as long as we still are together and being like best friends, everything will be great. High school may end, but we don't have to let everything else end."
"Exactly, and that's what I've been trying to tell Tina." He moved to get into the driver's seat, Sam doing the same on the other side of the car. "We are all so close, it won't matter what we do, we are all going to be friends for a very long time."
"Yes!" the boy exclaimed, and Blaine jumped a little. "Now we can be best friends who fight over whose going to win Call of Duty when we get to my house! I'm gonna win though, just so you know."
"No way," Blaine told him. "In yours dreams, Evans."
They teased each other all the way to Sam's house, and it was a relationship that Blaine knew he'd probably never find. He wasn't going to let anything come in between them.
-1-
The day was here, and Blaine couldn't believe it. It felt like just yesterday that they had to turn in their orders for graduation caps and gowns. They went to the table and picked them up, and Blaine could hardly wait to try it on, so he led Sam somewhere where they could do just that.
"We have to try them on and see if they fit," Blaine said excitedly as he and Sam hurried into an empty classroom.
"Small, medium, large, it's not that complicated," Sam explained as they opened their boxes. "I'm sure they all fit."
"Well we should just try them on to see what they look like." This was something huge, and he wasn't letting Sam get out of it. Trying on graduation gowns is a milestone.
They didn't say anything as they slipped on the cheap material, zipped it up, and put on the hat. Sam held out his arms and Blaine stopped, the realization settling in. He couldn't believe this was happening. High school was ending.
"Holy crap, I can't believe this is actually happening," he said, looking down as Sam nodded.
"Hey, guys-" Tina stopped, looking at them. Blaine smiled and held out his arms, showing off his robe excitedly. It didn't take long for her face to scrunch up, and Blaine knew that was the start of another Tina breakdown.
"Tina!" Blaine warned
"No, please, no," Sam said, not looking like he knew what to do, so Blaine stepped in.
"No, Tina, Tina, no." He hurried over to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "I know this is hard for you, but come on please. No, don't cry. Try not to cry." He looked to Sam before back to her.
"I'm not ready to say goodbye to you guys yet," she cried, looking between the two of them.
"It's not goodbye," Blaine insisted, squeezing her shoulder and led her over to Sam. "They call graduation commencement because its not the end of something, it's the beginning."
"They say that so we'll go willingly," she claimed as Blaine moved around to face her. "Sam, you and Mike were so close, Puck too. When was the last time you talked to them?"
"I don't know, I can't remember," he said confusedly, but sounding more hurt at the end.
"Rachel and I haven't spoken on the phone for months. And yes, I know we all love each other, but the fact is the glue that holds high school friendships together is high school, being around each other every day, seeing each other in the halls. Whenever something's up, we don't have to do any work to talk to our friends about it, they're right there. As soon as it takes effort, we get lazy and then we forget and then we just move on. I don't want to fade away."
Tina sat down at one of the desk, and Blaine knew that she was right, but it wasn't always that way. Thankfully Sam stepped in, "But it doesn't have to go down like that. Like my dad's best friends are still his high school buddies. And they can go like a year without talking to each other and they get together, and they don't miss a beat."
"Yeah!" Blaine agreed. "There's Facebook and email and blogs and stuff. It's much easier to stay in touch."
Sam took off his hat as he sat on the desk in front of the girl. "Look here, I'll make you a deal. I promise that for the rest of our lives, I will send one Vine of me doing an impression every week. And then you can send me one of you soaping up your boobs."
"Dude, inappropriate," Blaine mentioned as Tina frowned. He didn't know where that came from to be honest.
"Three years together and he finally notices my boobs? Victory."
Instead of going off of that, Blaine moved on to point out the obvious. "We're all going to be friends for life. I promise, and we still have some high school left, right? You know what we need to do?" He took off his hat and moved in front of them as Sam turned around. "We need to say goodbye to this place with some heroism and some trauma. We need something so epic that in thirty years time, we can just call each other up and reminisce about it."
"I know, let's sneak a cow into school!" Sam exclaimed, obviously thinking it was the greatest idea ever. It was something that only Sam could come up with, and Blaine decided to let him down easily.
"I was thinking about an over night lock in." That was the right idea, because Tina was smiling and standing up. "I'll talk to the student council and get them to approve it."
"Sounds dangerous, I'm in," Sam agreed.
"Yes! Me too!" Tina hurried over to them, smiling brightly.
"Three way show circle?" he asked after they looked at each other. He held out his hand, and Tina joined immediately, but Sam hesitation a second. "Get in there."
"AAAAAAAAAAAMAZING!" they all said, bringing their hands up with smiles on all their faces.
"Now that we are all settled, I'll go right now to meet with student council. I'll let you know what they decide on."
"Should we come?" Tina asked, and Blaine quickly shook his head.
There was no way he wanted to see Tina in case they didn't pass the idea. It was a scary thought. "I should do this myself. I don't want to brag, but I seem to have the gift of persuasion."
"Good luck, dude," Sam said, pounding his back and leading Tina out of the room.
Blaine was busy dancing around his room. After his success with the student council, he felt like he could do anything. He was excited to have a night where he could just be silly with his senior friends. His mother had congratulated him with teary eyes. It was hard seeing her so upset over him leaving. He remembered the day he actually told her he was moving to New York for good.
His mom was waiting up for him when he got home from his audition at NYADA. He got home late in the night because it was the only flight they could get back in time for school the next day.
He pushed through the door, bag in his hand and she met him there with a bright smile. "Hi, honey, how did it go?"
He could hardly contain himself. "Oh my god, Mom. It was so amazing! The city is so beautiful and Kurt is there. NYADA was spectacular."
She pulled him to sit, holding his hand. "So, did the audition go okay? I was so worried about it, and I hadn't heard from you about it."
"I sang 'Teenage Dream' and I think it went amazing, or that's what Kurt said. He was there to support me. Carmen Tibideaux was actually impressed, so I'm hoping that means I got in. I want this so bad, mom."
She nodded and looked down, taking a minute to answer. "So is it official that you are going to move out there? I mean you've been talking about it for a while, but am I actually going to lose my baby to his fiancé and the big city."
She looked so sad, and Blaine felt horrible. They hadn't had the closest relationship until a year ago, but he truly loved her and his father. It was scary moving away from his safe blanket, but he had to do it.
"Mom," he cooed, scooting closer to her on the couch. He reached out and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer. "You know that I love you. I may be leaving, but you will always be my mom. I am going though. There's no doubt in my mind. Kurt is out there and NYADA is there, and it is my dream to live in the big city. I may be leaving, but I really want you to support me."
"You know that I do," she said quickly, kissing his cheek. "I'm just sad that you are leaving. I'll have a house that's empty."
"I'll visit all the time, so you don't have to worry about missing me. Plus, weren't you and dad wanting to travel?"
"Yeah," she admitted. She sat up and took her hand back. "I suppose we could do that, but it's just hard letting your child go after eighteen years of being at home."
"But you gotta let me go."
"That I do." She hugged him again, and Blaine just smiled. He loved her so much.
It didn't help that he still had on his graduation gown, and the reality of the situation was hitting everyone. She hugged him tightly before letting him retreat to his room for the night after dinner. The time was just running out and there was nothing anyone could do to stop in.
Blaine caught sight of himself in his mirror and stopped, a silly smile appearing on his face. He looked like a red balloon, but he didn't want to take to gown off just yet. He would only wear it for an hour or two on graduation day, so he needed to wear it in.
He was waiting for Kurt to get on Skype so he could show him his amazing robe. He knew that seeing Kurt in his a year before was so sad, but he figured Kurt would have a different view on seeing him in his gown.
After another song ended, their was a notification, and Blaine hurried to connect to the call from his fiancé. He situated the laptop so it showed his outfit from where he was standing, and he held out his arms. The screen connected and Kurt's face popped up.
"Hey! What do you think?" he asked, spinning around to show off his look. "I got it today and I haven't taken it off."
"Blaine!" he proclaimed, clapping his hands. "You look adorable. I just don't understand, some people can pull off the robe, and you are one of those lucky ones."
"You were too cute in yours." He climbed on the bed, sitting crossed legged. "I can't believe it's almost here. This like makes it official, doesn't it?"
Kurt nodded and moved his laptop so it was closer to his face. "I bet you are having the feeling of nostalgia right about now, huh? Three weeks left."
"Yeah, I am." He sighed and reached up to take his cap off. "Is that how you felt last year?"
"It was so bad. I made so many good friends, and just the fact that after one day we weren't going to see each other every day; it was so hard to accept. I haven't seen Puck, Mike, and Mercedes since, well you know."
Blaine nodded because he did know when the last time everyone was together, and he knew that it was still so fresh and they needed to not bring it up. It made him sad because he missed Finn so much.
"But like Quinn." He looked like he was thinking really hard. "I think the last time I saw her for like five minutes was when I called her and Santana to come out here to talk to Rachel about doing that naked film. The people that I was so close with, I don't even talk to anymore. It's sad to think about."
"Stop it, Kurt," he warned, worry starting to settle in. "I'm becoming really depressed now and it's all your fault." He pouted, slumping back against his head board. "Tina and Sam are my two best friends-"
"Excuse me?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, a playful smile on his lips. He held up his left hand, the sparkle of silver from Kurt's ring caught his eye. "If this isn't best friend material, I don't know what is."
"Shut up." He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "You know you are always number one in my book, Kurt. You are best friend, the love of my life, and my fiancé, but Sam and Tina are like my best friends."
"I'm teasing you. It's like how Rachel is mine, well she was mine before all this ridiculous drama started."
"Exactly, and I can't image us growing apart like you did with everyone that graduated with you."
"It just depends though, Blaine," he explained, and Blaine listened intently. "It depends on how much you are willing to do in order to stay friends. I mean, I was so busy with everything that it just sorta happened, but if you are adamant about not losing them, you won't. Rachel, Santana, and me are still close, and I talk to Mercedes on the phone once a week. The people who you are close to won't leave you unless you don't try."
"I'm going to try, that's for sure. Tina has just been a wreck. I didn't get to text you, but it's now a total of two breakdowns in just two days. Can you believe it?"
"This is a tough time for some people, I'll have to admit, but she's always been a little overdramatic."
"I think that's why I love her so much." He shook his head. "Everything is just so sad because we are going to be leaving so soon."
"I wouldn't think about it like that, Blaine because then you are just going to be worried about the time slipping away. You need to enjoy the time you have left and just live it to its fullest, okay? If everyone is so upset, do something that will make them smile and be happy. That's all you can do, and you have Nationals next week."
"I wish you could come to see us perform." He frowned. "I miss you so much."
"I don't understand why you couldn't have nationals in New York like we did that one year because I would be in the front row."
"But you are going to be at graduation, right?"
"I wouldn't be anywhere else," he said sounding insulted. "I have to be there to see my fiancé finish his life in Lima before joining me out here. I'm sick and tired of all this waiting because this year has gone on for too long and we were apart for most of it, and I need to just officially have you out here with me so we can start planning our amazing wedding."
He couldn't help the bright smile that spread across his face. He loved him so much, and he could hardly wait for any of it. That was to only good thing about graduation being so close. "About that, I need to tell you something. I now have a best man."
"I'm just going to assume that it's Sam because that is who I was expecting it to be because I know he loves you and supports us."
"Yeah, Sam was feeling a little uncertain about the future, so we talked, and he basically told me he was being it. I don't think anyone else could do the job better than him."
Kurt nodded, but he stopped at a second. "You know that you are going to have one upset brother when he finds out that his little brother chose someone else to be his best man."
"It's not my fault he lives so far away!" he exclaimed in his defense. "I know that he loves me and everything, but Sam has been here for me through everything."
"Our wedding has to be absolutely perfect, and I don't know which boy I'd trust to give a best man speech, so we will just have to wait and see the trial run when we get there."
That was pure Kurt, and Blaine just shook his head. "Of course. Everything will have to go by you. Or you know that we could just elope."
"If you think I'd just elope, Blaine Anderson, we are going to have to rethink this engagement because I am having the best wedding and it will go down in the record books, I promise you."
"I know it'll be perfect. I'd expect nothing less from you, my love."
"Oh please," Blaine heard somewhere in the New York apartment. Kurt wasn't looking at the camera, instead at something behind it. "You and your ridiculous fiancé never stop talking and it's really sickening. We all know you are going to have this big, grand, fairy tale wedding, so there's no need to continue gushing on and on about it."
"Hi, Santana," he called as Kurt just rolled his eyes.
The laptop was moved as she settled on the bed next to Kurt, smirking at the camera. "You know, when you Skype with your gay fiancé, gel head, you don't always have to give him those sickly puppy dog eyes. What you have to do is strip down and just tell Lady Hummel that you want the deed, and he will give it too you. I've never met a couple that doesn't Skype sex every second they get."
"Our relationship isn't about that, Santana," Kurt said annoying. "I love him, and I like hearing about his day and helping him with things."
"Plus, we do Skype sex all the time," Blaine insisted, receiving a blush from Kurt and a look of respect from the girl.
"Wow, who knew you had it in you, Anderson. I'm going to give you a round of applause for making Hummel here let loose. God knows he needs it."
"I hate you," Kurt muttered. "We were in the middle of discussing plans for our wedding, so will you please leave so we can continue?"
"Screw you, I want to see some action. Dani has been working too much and I'm feeling a little horny, so I'll take what I can get."
Blaine blushed as she stared through the camera at him. "Actually, yeah, I'm gonna have to go, Kurt. I've got homework and a shower-"
"Look what you did," Kurt chided. "You scared my fiancé away. I hope you are happy."
"He said shower, so I mean we could still-"
"I love you, Kurt," Blaine said loudly over the girl. "I'll call you tomorrow."
"Love you too, Blaine." He smiled and shoved the girl's shoulder. "I can't wait to talk to you."
"Oh please, I'm barfing," Santana gagged.
"Bye Santana. It was nice talking to you."
"I can't say the same since you disappointed me, hobbit."
Blaine shook his head and looked back to Kurt. "Goodnight, sweetie."
"Night," Kurt sighed, but smiling nonetheless.
The image disconnected before Santana could retort anything else that was insulting. He loved talking to Kurt, but it wasn't the same as it was in person. At least then he could kiss him and gross Santana out. That would be the real victory.

"Oh my-Tina, oh my god. Are you okay?" Sam asked, hurrying over to the girl. He noticed the girl on the ground sooner than Blaine.
"THE LOCK-IN WAS CANCELED!" she screamed, scaring Sam so much that tipped back on his feet.
Blaine felt relieved because he actually thought that something serious was wrong. "Oh, Tina. Why are you so worried about it? We just thought about that yesterday."
By then she was sprawled out on the floor like a little girl that was told she couldn't have it. Then she started screaming. "I KNOW. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN OUR FIRST LOCK-IN, BLAINE, BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN OUR LAST LOCK-IN, BLAINE!" People were watching and looking, so Blaine smiled at them. "AND NOW WE DON'T HAVE THAT AT ALL! EVERYDAY THAT PASSES IS ANOTHER DAY CLOSER TO NEVER SEEING EACH OTHER EVER AGAIN."
Sam's hand rubbing her wasn't comforting her at all, so Blaine kneeled down and thought quickly, trying to come up with anything that would get her up off the floor.
"Okay, okay, okay, okay. Um. How bout this? How about we have our own lock-in."
"Yeah!" Sam agreed.
"All three of us."
"How would we manage that?" she asked, sitting up and Blaine knew he had a victory.
"Easy. Here's what we'll do, okay? We'll climb through one of the choir room windows, we'll leave one unlocked, and no one will ever notice."
"Yeah, how about it, Tina?" he asked and Tina shook her head. It was something that they could easily do together that would be fun and they probably wouldn't be caught. "All right!"
"Let's get you up," Sam said as both boys pulled her up. "Let's get you out of here. Now Tina, I've been meaning to ask you. Are your boobs getting bigger? Is that possible?"
"Yes! Yes they are, Sam. Thank you. You're the best!"
It made her smile, but Blaine just shook his head. He didn't know what it was with Sam and crossing boundaries like he kept doing. He managed to slip a text to Kurt before beginning his planning for the night. It had to be good, that way they'd be able to say goodbye to this place with a bang.
Kurt couldn't believe that this stupid feud has gotten so big that they were battling at work through song. He just couldn't watch what was about to go down because he loved both girls but they were making a fool of themselves in front of an audience and their boss and work people. He felt horrible for Elliot for getting himself into the middle of it. That's why Kurt just didn't take sides.
Gloria, you're always on the run now.
Running after somebody, you gotta get him somehow.
I think you've got to slow down, before you start to blow it.
I think you're headed for a breakdown, so be careful not to show it
He had to give Santana some props though for attempting to outshine Rachel in any song, and actually doing a pretty good job at making it sure Rachel didn't have much of a choice but to sway in the background, but that didn't last for long because Rachel would stop at nothing to get the attention on herself.
You really don't remember, was it something that they said?
All the voices in your head calling, Gloria?
Gloria, don't you think you're fallin'?
If everybody wants you, why isn't anybody callin'?
You don't have to answer
Leave them hangin' on the line, oh-oh-oh, calling Gloria
Poor Elliot. He was being dragged around the diner like he was a piece of meat, and he looked so confused, but he kept singing. Kurt just cringed at the way the girls were trying too hard, being just a little pushy and the scary look in their eyes. Kurt shook his head.
Gloria I think they got your number
I think they got the alias that you've been living under
But you really don't remember, was it something that they said?
All the voices in your head calling, Gloria?
Elliot was on the bar, but soon forgotten as the spotlight was on the two girls battling to win some stupid award. He seemed to notice what the girls were doing, stopping his dancing and just watching him. Kurt just looked on to the girls with his mouth dropped. This was getting out of hand and he was feeling the second hand embarrassment.
Ooh Gloria
Ooh Gloria!
Oooh!
Ooh! Gloria!
I think they got your number
Ooh! Gloria!
Gloria!
Ooh!
Ooh-oh!
Gloria!
Do-do
Uh oh!
Gloria! Gloria!
Ooh!
They gotcha, they gotcha number!
Gloria!
Elliot sat down at the table during the end of the song with an annoyed and confused expression, and Kurt just shrugged. This was how they acted, Rachel especially. They finished with long lasting notes, and the place cheered. Santana pushed past Rachel and hurried to the table where the boys were sitting.
"All right, Starchild," she announced, and he turned around. "Let's settle this once and for all. Who's better?"
"You're both pretty," he said, and the girls waited. "And I'm not going to pick sides or choose favorites or anything like that-"
"Yeah, sometimes you have to," Rachel shot at him, sounding annoyed.
"Well maybe, but not me. Not for this." He stood up, and Kurt knew he was getting fed up. "You know what? Until you guys can figure out your stuff, I'm done. I'm done with the band."
"What?" Rachel asked, and Kurt was horrified at the information, but saw it coming. They would be getting nowhere with two feuding members who were searching for the side of another member.
"Yeah. Santana you can find a new singing partner. Rachel, you can be my roommate, but I'm not your new best gay."
"Ha!" Santana said as he went to leave, but stopped.
"And Kurt!" he proclaimed, and Kurt was shocked because he did nothing to make the boy mad at him. "You might be used to this kind of drama, but I'm not! I'm over it."
Kurt sat there and watched Elliot walk out of the shop, and he felt a wave of frustration and anger settle over him. Of course the girls had to ruin everything good for him. He was just fed up.
It turned out to be a bang for a little while, messing around with Sam and Tina in Cheerios costumes. They found roller skates, skateboards, and scooters to ride through the hall on, and it was shaping up to be one of the best nights Blaine had had in a long time, but that was until Becky seemed to figure them out.
Now he was stuck drinking nasty energy drinks and playing Twister. He had been stuck through three rounds with just Becky because Sam and Tina excused themselves to go to the bathroom. He had never been good at the game when he was younger, but now he was ten times worse because he absolutely didn't want to take part in it at all.
He put his right foot on blue before Becky spun so she had to put her left hand on yellow. The next move that he had to do was to reach all the way underneath Becky to put his right hand on a green circle. His head was right next to Becky's and she was grinning at him before saying, "Hi, hot stuff."
"Hi," he answered before pulling out and sitting down. This was just too much to handle all by himself and he didn't want to do it anymore.
"You lose again!" she laughed, pointing to him. It was making Blaine too irritated.
"Time out," he said, standing and holding his thigh. "I'm getting a cramp in my leg." He looked around and noticed that they were still alone and have been for a while. "How long have Sam and Tina been gone?"
"Who cares?" she asked, sounding annoyed. "Tina is boring. I hate Sam's haircut. It makes his forehead look too big."
"You know what?" he asked her, slipping his shoes on. "I'm gonna walk this cramp off."
"Okay. When you come back, I'll be here. I'm gonna have some more energy drinks."
He ignored her, walking off the stage and out of the auditorium. It wasn't fair that they were hiding away and he had to deal with Becky all by themselves. He walked down the hall, looking around in classrooms to find them.
"Sam? Tina? Tina?" He walked into the astronomy room, and he couldn't believe what he saw. Sam and Tina were on a desk, kissing, no sucking each other's faces off, and Blaine was absolutely horrified at what he was seeing. Why were they doing it? It got worse every second he watched them. He squinted, taking a step back. "OH! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"
The two pulled away quickly before screaming, "NOTHING!"
"What about Nurse Penny, Sam?" he asked as they hurried over to him. "What, did you just forget about her? And Tina…you're just…ugh! Ugh, I can't!" He couldn't get the image out of his head.
"I'm sorry! It was the Eleven Hour Energy's," Tina tried.
"A cheap sort of nostalgia," Sam explained.
Blaine wasn't having it. After the wave of shock an disgust passed, angry started and he was fuming. He held up a finger. "This was supposed to be our night, our little family, our friendly threesome. It was our last chance to hang out together and you…You've ruined it!"
He left without another worried, rushing through the door. He heard Sam yell, "Actually that was Becky with her Twister!"
Blaine ran down the hall, grunting as he remembered what he saw just seconds ago. He couldn't believe how his supposed best friends could do this to him, how they ruined his night. He didn't stop running until he got to his car.
He pulled out his phone and dialed Kurt's number as fast as he could, not caring how late it was. He just needed to vent to someone about what just happened. It took three rings, but the boy finally answered.
"'ello?"
Blaine felt guilty for waking him up, but he sounded so adorable. "Hey, I'm sorry for waking you up."
"No," he said, sounding more alert. "Is everything all right? It's kinda late."
"No!" he proclaimed, the image of his two friends coming back. "Kurt, I had this big night planned with just Sam and Tina. We snuck into the school to have this great senior lock-in with just the three of us, and it was going to good until Becky showed up. After some Twister and energy drinks, I went looking for a disappearing Sam and Tina, and you wanna guess where I found them?"
"I don't know, Blaine. Where did you find them?"
"I found them making out! They were sucking on each other's faces, and they just ruined everything! I can't believe they would do this to me."
"Hey, calm down, honey. You are getting too worked up over this."
"Worked up? You are saying that I'm getting worked up when just last week you were so worked up about an interview that Elliot did! I'm not overreacting, so don't you even say I am!"
"I'm not, sweetie, I just want you to calm down a little. Take a deep breath, okay? In and out. Are you doing it?"
He listened to his fiancé, breathing deeply, but it wasn't helping. "I just don't understand how they could do this to me, Kurt. I wanted to have the best night with two of my best friends and they don't even think about me and run off to make out. They don't care about me at all."
"I'm sure they do, but just got caught up in the moment-"
"I mean I have always been there for both of them, and I can't believe that they would push me aside so they could have fun together, just the two of them. I had to deal with Becky by myself. I'm just so upset!"
Kurt hummed, and Blaine wanted him to say something that would make him feel better, but he wasn't. "Blaine, honey, I really love you, but there's just so much that I can take at one in the morning. I had a really rough night, and I'm trying to be supportive for you because of how upset you are, but I'm having a hard time coming up with something to say."
Blaine started his car and pulled out of the lot before responding. "I'm sorry for being so needy. I just wanted to talk to someone that I knew actually cared about me instead of my traitor best friends."
"You are upset, and I get that, but I think you should go home to sleep on it. You are saying things that you'll regret, and I want you to just take some time to really think about what happened."
"I don't have to think, Kurt! I know that they ruined any chance that we have to spend time together before graduation. I planned this so that Tina could see that we aren't going to lose touch, but now that I saw what I did, I have a feeling I'm going to be last on everyone's list to talk to. It's not fair because I've done everything for both of them."
"You are so cute when you are upset, did you know that?" Blaine couldn't help but smile at that. "You are getting all worked up, and I can see the frown on your beautiful face and the pout on your plump lips. Listen to me, okay?"
"Okay."
"Sam and Tina care so much about you, but tonight they just messed up. I know that they probably regret doing it, so I need you to just calm down and sleep."
That was what finally got through. He didn't care that Kurt wasn't supporting him, but it didn't matter. He was exhausted despite the three energy drinks he had. "I'm going to do that."
"Good. Now are you on your way home?"
"Yeah, but you said something about a rough night," Blaine said quickly, wanting to know what happened. "What's going on?"
"It's late, B, and I'm almost asleep, so I'll tell about everything that happened tomorrow. Does that sound good?"
"Yeah, it sounds great. I'm sorry for waking you up."
"No, I'm glad you call me when you are so upset. I'm going to fall asleep in like seconds, so I love you Blaine."
"I love you."
He didn't even care that Kurt hung up after. He drove the rest of the way, turning off his phone because he had gotten a few calls from his so-called friends. He was still upset, and he wasn't going to drop this like it was nothing because it wasn't. This was serious.
-3-
Blaine was laying in bed the next day, still fuming from the Sam and Tina thing, waiting for Kurt to call him. They tried to be all nice earlier, but he couldn't just forgive them for treating him like he was nothing. They were supposed to be best friends, but they only cared about themselves, pushing his to the side. It angered him.
He wasn't sure how the next few weeks were going to be if they weren't talking, and that made his heat ache. He really cared about both of them. That was the one thing he hated about himself, but also loved. He cared about everyone that he knew, putting their needs before his all the time, and sometimes that bit him on the butt.
He was in the middle of his internal battle with himself when his phone dinged that signaled that he got a text. He pulled it up, seeing it was from Kurt. He closed his eyes and prayed that it wasn't the boy canceling on their phone date.
Instead, the message included a video along with the message 'Enjoy, and call me after!' and he quickly opened it.
On the screen was a shaky video of Kurt on stage with Dani, with bright blue hair, and Elliot standing next to him all in tuxedo suits. They looked great. He listened as Kurt explained that Pamela Lansbury was no more, and Blaine was shocked because he didn't know that anything was wrong, besides the Rachel and Santana thing.
He continued to watch the three, now named One Three Hill, blow the song 'The Happening' away. It was absolutely incredibly, and it left him smiling through the whole thing. It wasn't like he didn't know Kurt was talented, but seeing him up on the stage with his own trio, it really showed his talent off. Blaine felt a little proud, inwardly chanting, "That's my fiancé, I'm marrying him."
After ending the video, Blaine immediately called Kurt. The boy answered quickly, "Hey, so how did you like it?"
"First off, you were incredible, Kurt! We have been apart for so long that I forgot how talented you truly are. Second, what happened with Pamela Lansbury?"
"Remember when I said I had a rough day yesterday? Well that was because at work, Rachel and Santana took it upon themselves to scare away Elliot with trying to be better than each other during a number. You should have seen the way they were clawing for attention, it was so embarrassing, Blaine."
"This has really gotten out of hand," Blaine observed, shaking his head.
"Tell me about it, so Elliot freaks out on them, telling them that he's not going to pick sides and then he turns to me, and I'm completely shocked as he yells at me out how I may be used to the girls, but he's not and he quits the band."
Blaine gasped, completely shocked. "He is like the second best! He can't just quit because of them!"
"I know," Kurt muttered. "The girl don't care that they are ruining everything. All they care bout is themselves and I got sick of it, so I took control of the situation and kicked both the girls out. Elliot, Dani, and me are now One Three Hill."
"Good for you, Kurt. They didn't seem to care about you or how they were affecting everything. They are selfish, and I'm really ashamed that they won't just talk it out. It's ridiculous."
"I love them, but this is what is going to have to happen for them to realize they can't act like they are anymore, and I think it might work. One can only hope."
"Don't worry. They have to come to their senses sometime. I thought that the new trio was so, so great! I didn't know Dani could sing the way she can, and I know you said Elliot was good, but man is he good, but there was a cutie brunette that caught my eye."
"Is that so?" Kurt asked, voice sounding flattered. "I can't help but pull focus. I'm just that good."
"That you are. I can't wait to be with you so I can come to all your performances. I'll be your little groupie." They laughed together. "But I'm really proud of you standing up to them. You didn't deserve all the drama, so now all you have to worry about is the three of you, and it turns out that you won't have to do much worrying because you guys rocked!"
"Hey," Kurt said suddenly, and Blaine looked up. "Do you want to FaceTime? I just want to see your face."
"Yeah, give me a second," he murmured, pulling his phone away and clicking the option button. It took a few seconds, but finally they connected and Kurt's dimly lit face was on the screen, smiling.
"You are too cute when you are ready to go to bed," Kurt gushed, eyes shining from the light of the screen of his phone. "So enough about me how's the drama with Sina? Is that their couple name, or is it Tam?"
Blaine frowned, receiving a giggle from his fiancé. "That's not funny, Kurt. It is so horrible! I can't even look at them without the hideous image of them sucking each other's tongue. I can't believe they could do this to me."
"Honey, now listen to me," he started, shuffling where he was lying in his bed. "I know you are making this out to be a really big deal, one that is so horribly bad, but it isn't all that wrong."
"Kurt-"
"No, just let me talk, baby." He paused and Blaine nodded for him to go on. "If you look at it, this isn't so surprising. I mean when I was in McKinley people hooked up left and right, even if there was no sign of attraction before. It's a normal thing, and I don't think you should take it too hard because they are your two best friends. You can't lose any time together because you are upset over a silly thing."
Blaine thought about what he said, and it didn't take him long to realize that he was right. "I mean we only have three weeks, and what fun is it going to be if I'm angry at them for experimenting. I just don't want to be a third wheel to anyone."
"And I'm sure that wasn't their intention, but sometimes things happen for a reason, and this was to show them that there won't ever be a relationship between the two because that is just a match that shouldn't be."
Blaine nodded as he laughed. "You should have seen it, Kurt. It was horrible."
"Oh, I can bet. I had my share of Rachel and Finn, Quinn and Puck, and Santana and Brittany make out sessions. I'm pretty sure I can relate to it."
"I have to admit that I did freak out, but that's what I do."
"We both do," Kurt said with a nod of his head. "That's why we get along so well, we both tend to overreact to almost everything."
"That's one of the reasons why I love you though."
Through the screen he could see a small blush on his cheeks. "Me too, so are you going to forgive them tomorrow? Life's too short to hold a grudge."
"It definitely is," Blaine agreed with a smile. "Which is why I'm glad you decided to forgive me after months and months of begging. I love you."
"I love you too, Blaine Anderson, which is why I agreed to marry you and forgive you on top of that. I can't spend my life without you."
"You know I can't be without you." He shook his head. "We already sound like an old married couple."
"You say that likes it's a bad thing. It's just, we've been apart for so long, I don't know what it'll be like to have you here. I know that you are moving out here, but I want you to know that there's no hurry. I'm thinking about coming home for a little while during summer to see my dad and Carole, just to spend some time as a family, you know? This year has been, it's been so-"
"Incredibly rough," Blaine supplied.
"So, so rough on us, and I think that it'll be good to go home and spend some time with them. I wanted you to know so you didn't rush to get ready to move out here right after graduation."
It was nice to know that he still had time; looking around his full room it was obvious that he needed it. "Of course. That actually puts less pressure on everything. I can't wait to see you. Plus, I'm really happy that you'll be spending time with your dad and Carole. They really need it."
"Have you-"
"Yeah," Blaine answered. "I've been to see them a couple of times, and Carole is doing much better, better than one could ever expect. Your dad is okay, but I know they are still hurting. Having you here will be nice."
"I'm going to try and request some time off at the diner because I can't lose that job because as annoying it is, it's really fun."
"Of course, and I'm really excited to come visit you while you are in uniform!"
"Oh god." He shook his head. "I'm exhausted, B." He shut his eyes, and Blaine let out a blissful sigh because he had the most gorgeous guy. "I've had a long day."
"I bet, so you should get some sleep."
"I don't wanna. I'm talking to you."
Blaine loved how he got grumpy when tired. "I need to sleep too. I've got school tomorrow and a big glee rehearsal. The last one before Nationals."
"Which you are going to win," Kurt murmured, eyes fluttering open. "So how about this. You get ready and I'll get ready and we will stay connected until we fall asleep."
Blaine agreed and it didn't take long for them to be snuggled into bed, the only light lighting up their faces from their phone screens. "Blaine, you are my one true love."
"You are mine, fearlessly and forever."
"Fearlessly and forever," Kurt repeated before they both fell asleep, listening to each other breathing. It was the best way to fall asleep, well in Blaine's opinion anyway.

Blaine walked into the choir room the next afternoon, seeing Sam sitting on the piano and Tina sitting and leaning on it. He was supposed to meet them before glee club to talk out their little argument. Once Sam saw him, he got down and Tina stood up. They were obviously nervous.
"Hey," Sam greeted.
"Hey," Blaine replied back friendly. They moved to stand in front of each other.
"So, I thought you were going to climb in through the window," he joked, pointing over to where they entered the other night.
"I think I am retiring my cape," he admitted, laughing softly.
"I see you're outgrowing a lot of things," Tina observed softly.
"No," he said quickly. "I freaked out and I was wrong, and I'm sorry. I thought we were gonna have the perfect senior year, and the one that we got has been so weird and really hard."
"Yeah," Sam agreed as Tina nodded.
"And so when I tried to plan the perfect night out, and it didn't go the way that I hoped, I flipped out. And I guess I found it shocking to find two people kissing that I never really expected to find kissing, but…really that happens all the time around here."
"It does," Sam said.
"Yeah," Tina agreed.
"You were right, Tina," he continued. "Everything is changing, and I get why you want to try everything before it changes for good. The one thing that I can promise that's not going to change is that we are going to be friends forever."
"Mm-hmm," she hummed, moving in for a hug as Sam said, "I like the sound of that."
He accepted the hug from both of them, really just memorizing how it felt and appreciating their love and friendship because in a few weeks he may not have it.
"What do you think is going to happen to this place after we leave?" Sam asked after they separated. "I mean there's going to be like three kids in the glee club."
"It feels so weird to think about glee club going on without us," Tina said, sounding a little melancholy.
"Well, at least we can leave them with a second National Championship to remember us by."
"Ménage à gross," Artie muttered as he wheeled into the room, and Blaine thought about the week. He realized that him, Sam, and Tina were an amazing trio, but there were four seniors, and the fact that if he would have been in Artie's place he would have felt really left out hit him. He felt horrible.
"Hey, Artie, do you want to join us?" Sam asked, as they turned to him. "We're just having like a little senior moment if you know, wanna take part."
"Oh, I don't want to interrupt your little power trio."
The bell rang and other student filled the room, so the three took a seat as Mr. Schue started talking about Nationals the next week. There was something that he really wanted to do before they parted for Los Angeles, and he couldn't let the club end without getting up and saying it.
"Wait! Mr. Schue! So for us seniors, this is one of our last glee club meetings." Tina and Sam joined him at the front. "It's kinda a big deal. We wondered if we could do one last number."
"Yes! Please!" the man said, moving to sit down.
"We wanted to ask Artie to be a part of the trio with us," Sam said, and Blaine was happy that they saw how lonely and dejected the boy felt.
"Yeah, if memory serves a quartet is twenty-five percent more powerful," Tina repeated the boy's words from earlier in the week as Sam pointed to him. "We're just a little slow at the math."
There was a smile and a nod, and the boy shrugged and muttered, "That's right." He wheeled over to them, and they told the group to meet them in the auditorium in five minutes so they could get prepared.
Being up on the stage with his three friends, the friends that he didn't think he'd have after Kurt left him the year before, was bittersweet. This was the last time that it was going to be just the four of them before they all went their separate ways. And looking out at his new friends, the ones that were staying behind was so sad. He had gotten to know every single one of them, and he really liked them. They were probably never going to see each other after graduation. It was reality setting in, and the perfect high school life was over.
I know this pain
Why do lock yourself up in these chains?
No one can change your life except for you
Don't ever let anyone step all over you
Just open your heart and your mind
Is it really fair to feel this way inside?
Sitting with Dani and Elliot was the start of something new and exciting. Kurt knew that when the band separated he was terrified that they were all just going to go their own ways, but that wasn't true. He had made a good friend out of both members, and he didn't want to see any of them go, so without Rachel or Santana, they'd rise above it and be the strong trio they are.
Some day somebody's gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don't you know?
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
If you hold on for one more day
Things'll go your way
Hold on for one more day
The time to fool around and push things off was coming to a close, and the future was coming up faster than anyone had expected. He didn't want to become an adult with worries and bills, but finally growing up…it was about damn time. High school life was incredible at McKinley and at Dalton, he couldn't ask for a better time, but it was time to grow up.
You could sustain
Or are you comfortable with the pain?
You've got no one to blame for your unhappiness
You got yourself into your own mess
Lettin' your worries pass you by
Don't you think it's worth your time
To change your mind?
In his opinion, they sounded better with just the three of the singing in harmony with each other. Kurt loved the no drama and just the easiness with the three of them. He loved the girls, but maybe this was for the best. If the band was going to be successful in any way, it was going to have to nothing affecting them negatively, and this was what it needed to feel like, healthy and fun.
Some day somebody's gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don't you know?
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day yeah
Just hold on
Hold on
Blaine wasn't sure how many more times he had to sing out his heart, so he was giving his all. He hadn't heard back from NYADA yet, and no matter how sure everyone else was, he still had his doubts. Singing was his passion, and getting to do that everyday was absolutely amazing. He had met so many amazing people, including his fiancé, and he couldn't wait to see if he would be able to continue to do what he loved in the future.
Hold on for one more day
It's gonna go your way
Hold on for one more day
Things'll go your way
Things'll go your way
Hold on for one more day
The group just laughed, having fun with each other. When starting the band, this is what he wanted. He wanted the fun and the friends. There was no worry now that it was just them because they were all in sync with one another. Kurt couldn't wait until he saw what they would do in the future. They had so much potential and it was so exciting.
A/N: Hey guys! Here's Trio! I hope you enjoyed it. The episode was fantastic, and I'm really, really impressed with the writers because this is ridiculously great! Every episode gets better and better, so bravo! I'm really excited to see the rest of the season! :)
The thing is that the episodes are so good that I want to write about the scenes, so that makes these incredibly long, but I have to include them and give my own spin on them. I know that some want original, but you are going to have to read through the scenes that were in the episode too because most of the scenes are too good to just toss aside.
I really want you guys to review and tell me what you think, so please just take the little time to do that. You don't understand how happy I get when I get the notification. So please!?
The awesome people that did just that are: nomorecandles, Rachel (Guest), ksgleeov12, Darren's Loveeer, MyGoldStar, Guest, Ester6P, KatyCatGleek1694, IM-A-WARBLER, Kaylee, Jule2408, and Sally B. Mcgill. Thank you so much!
Just one thing: Klaine is going to be fine! There is nothing to worry about. Elliot is only in one more episode, guys! Klaine are going to be living together, so obviously there is going to be some fights and riffs between the two, but Klaine is forever. We have TWO duets to look forward to, it was just released that they sing Pat Benatar's 'Love is a Battlefield' and I'm SO excited! I'm not worried at all, so let's just see where this goes, okay?
Also, Naya isn't leaving Glee forever, she is just taking time off. Santana will be back, it's not known when, but she will be back. In NY it's just Rachel, Sam, Klain, and Artie, with a couple episodes with Mercedes.
Shout out to my beta Loren! :)
All right, I'm done! I'll see you guys for City of Angels!
Final Note: That picture of Will and Chris from the circus party is so hot! JS
