'My reason to be brave'
Klaus stayed awake all night. There were so many things to put in line. First of all, he went back in NOLA to take his home back from Marcel and that would be hard to do. He wanted to gather back his family in their home. Then, Caroline's question. What if all his feelings for her destroyed his plan? All night he listen his words 'I intent to be your last, however long it takes' but now things chanced. Maybe Rebekah was right, maybe he has no time for romance right now. As the night left and the sun light visited him, it reminds him of Caroline's hair. There were so many things in her that he fancied. The first time that he came back in NOLA he thought of her. He wanted her to be with him and now there she was. Sort night for big thoughts. He realized that Caroline completed his happiness in NOLA. She was his power and his weakness at the same time. He walked straight at her room and watched her sleeping.
Klaus: She is beautiful. (He whispered) She didn't take down my frame and also she didn't made changes in the room.
Klaus looked up all her belongings inside the room. Then, his eye found something familiar. Caroline's bracelet that he gave her.
Klaus: I thought she didn't have it!
He entered the room in a very quiet step and took the bracelet. He thought something beautiful to do with it but he prayed for Caroline not to notice that the bracelet was missing. He wanted this bracelet to mean something for her. He wanted to be worthy. So, he made a visit at the French Quarter witches and with a very easy spell made this bracelet to be Caroline's daylight thing. Now, she would wear it every day. Klaus hoped that Caroline would like this move. He had only to wait for the right time to give it to her.
As Klaus prepared this surprise for Caroline and other surprise was waiting for him outside the house.
Klaus: Elijah!
Elijah: Niklaus!
Klaus: so our sister informed you about our new roommate.
Elijah: Brother, I'm not here to judge you. I'm here to help you and if this lady is important to you then she's for me too.
Klaus: Oh, the nobel Elijah again!
Elijah: Nik, I made a promise. Always and Forever, remember? I'll keep it with any prize.
Klaus: I want NOLA back. Our kingdom, our house. With any prize. Marcel has it. And I want it back. As for Caroline, she'll stay here. She need time alone and a new start. Will you be in my side or will you try to provoke me?
Elijah: Let's take our home back. I'll help you and I'll stand by you! I'll be your brother.
Klaus: Our family is what we have to take back and Rebekah is against me, brother.
Elijah: Let me have a word with our little sister, Klaus. You have to come up with a plan for taking our home back from Marcel. I thought he was dead and when I heard about him I couldn't believe it.
Klaus: Marcellus is clever enough.
Elijah: Marcellus is dead. Marcel is his name now. Leave back all the old memories about Marcellus and focus on Marcel.
Klaus knew that Elijah was right. Back in time Marcellus was like a son for Klaus. He protected his favorite Marcellus like father and Klaus heard Marcellus was dead he buried his feelings for a long time. Now Marcel got all Klaus ever wanted. His town, his home, his people and as Klaus learned he was doing just fine. How could Klaus put down Marcel when he had all theses daywalkers next to him ready to die for Marcel?
Both men walked in the house. Elijah went to tided up his things and Klaus went to his painting room. He was to furious to draw but this room could calm him. A few minutes later he listen steps on the stairs. He knew it was Caroline but he stayed inside the room. He wanted to give Caroline a moment with Elijah.
Elijah was sitting on the couch and Caroline entered the room.
Elijah: Good morning, Caroline.
Caroline: Oh my God! Elijah. I mean.. Oh sorry..
Elijah: I didn't mean to scare you, lady. Come here. Take a sit.
Caroline: Ok but where is Klaus?
Caroline realized that the only person in NOLA that she wanted right now was Klaus. He could make her feel comfortable in this old city, in this old house.
Elijah: Relax. I won't hurt you. I want to talk with you for a moment. Could you give me a moment, please?
Caroline: oh. Ok.
Elijah: Caroline, I'm quite happy that you're here. I know my sister has an opposite opinion but I'll take care of her. Listen, I don't know you. It's the first time we talk but somehow I feel like I know you. You're strong, Caroline. You are a vampire and you are human at the same time. Your humanity is your best privilege. You are helping people, you are a good friend, and you are kind. Your compassion is a gift. Caroline, I'm asking you to stay. You are a strong girl full of light and all this house needs now is light! You are brave to leave Mystic Falls and start over here. But your reason to be brave is to stay!
Caroline: I…. I have nothing to say. I heard a lot about you, Elijah but you are so much better than I even imagined.
Elijah: I want you to know that now I'm your friend. You can count on me.
Caroline: Thank you so much, I mean so much!
That moment Klaus decided to make his entrance!
Klaus: I see you two have a little talk. Enlighten me
Elijah: Maybe another time, brother. Right, Caroline?
Caroline: Sure!
Elijah: Excuse me but I missed NOLA. I want to have a walk in our town.
Elijah closed the door as he walked out.
Caroline: where were you? You left me alone!
Klaus: No, love. You were with Elijah.
Caroline: Yeah and where is the difference?
Klaus: Relax, Caroline. You and Elijah will share a house. You have to know each other better.
Caroline: So you did that on purpose!
Klaus: Rebekah called him but I want him here. I want my family back, Caroline. Also, he wants you here.
Caroline: You heard our conversation?
Klaus: I'm a vampire after all, love.
Caroline: The same Klaus! Anyway.. I had a terrible night after we got home and now the talk with Elijah… Oh.. I need a drink!
Klaus: terrible night? I thought you enjoyed our night.
Caroline: Yes but before I went on bed I run into Rebekah and she made my night!
Klaus: oh, what did her that time?
Caroline: she stared me for a few minutes as I was dressed and then split up the perfect line 'Honestly, I don't know what my brother sees in you!' she turned her back and left closing her door on my face!
Klaus: haha… Rebekah did that all time! You'll get use to it!
Caroline: No she is mean!
Klaus: You know what? I didn't notice you having sleep troubles last night…
Caroline: You didn't what?! You were in my room? Again?
Klaus: Just a few seconds to make sure you are ok.
Caroline: I should lock! Now tell me how to go on the bar?
Klaus: If you promise not to lock I might tell you.
Caroline: Oh come on. If I find the bar and drink up a bit it might be hard even to find the key.
Klaus: That's good! So listen, do you remember the bakery? Next to the library?
Caroline: Yeah..
And Klaus told her the exact place that the bar was. Caroline left and visited that bar a few minutes later. As she entered she noticed a girl at the bar smiling at her.
Girl: Hello.
Caroline: Hi.
Girl: How can I help you?
Caroline: I need a drink.
Girl: It's about 12o' clock. Isn't a little early for a lady to drink?
Caroline: Isn't a little early for a barwoman to analyze my psychology?
Girl: Actually, not 'cause that my job.
Caroline: I thought you are a barwoman.
Girl: yes but also a psychology student!
Caroline: You are Camille, right?
Camille: yeah.. and you are?
Caroline: Caroline.
Camille: you are new to town. I've never see you before.
Caroline: yes and maybe I need a psychology lesson.
Camille: that's funny.
Caroline: No 'cause I need some advice from a stranger.
Camille: ok. Then tell me your story.
Caroline told Camille everything about Mystic Falls and Elena and Bonnie. Explain her reason that she was in NOLA and all about Klaus and Tyler. Now she was waiting for Camille's advice.
Camille: Wow, you girl are very brave. I could never leave NOLA and my family. But you did! Caroline, you are strong! That Elijah was right! All I can see is a girl full of light and if you are so helpful about Klaus then stay here! Tyler moved on. Do the same. You deserve to be happy. But first you have to find yourself and NOLA is the perfect place! A combination of everything! Don't hold on anybody, not even Klaus. He might be here and also have feelings for you but as you said he did terrible things. Hold up on you! I think that your reason to be brave is to stay in NOLA and find yourself. You need time.
Caroline: I think we could be friends, Cami. May I call you 'Cami'?
Camille: 'Cami' calls me my friends and for sure you can call me like that!
Caroline: May I have another drink, please?
Camille: Sure!
Caroline whispered 'My reason to be brave' , 'My reason to be brave' , 'My reason to be brave'… and then she heard steps and a man's voice.
Man: Hello, everyone! Camille stunning as always! But who's that beautiful girl?
Caroline: Are you talking to me?
Man: May I have your name or do I have to call you 'beautiful blue eyes'?
Caroline: I didn't get your name.
Man: Oh, sorry. Your beauty made me lose my manners. I'm Marcel! You?
Caroline: I'm the lady who leaving! See you, Camille!
Caroline left as she realizes that she just met Marcel. That's something she should tell Klaus immediately!
