Chapter 10

We all climbed into the back of Jasper's jeep, Alice was driving. Bella in the front seat and Rose, Esme and me in the back.

Rose whispered down my ear, 'I'm sorry Lexi I don't mean to be nosy, if you say you don't have feelings for Edward then I believe you. Let's just have a good time tonight yeah?'

I smile and nod at her. Esme squeezes my knee; clearly she had been listening in. Perhaps before I left I would talk with Esme. Tell her every emotion I had because she always knows what to say and how to make things better.

Alice pulls out of the driveway and heads towards Bella's house. I could tell Bella was nervous. Her heart rate was speeding, her hands were clammy and she kept biting her lip. I reached forward and placed my hand on her shoulder.

'Bella relax, it's just a party. Rosalie said it's just us and a few of your friends so there's nothing to be scared or worried about. Just relax and have a good time, this is your last night as a single woman!' She turns her head and smiles at me. 'Thanks Lexi.' I wink and sit back.

'Well here we are!' Alice excitedly jumps out the car after parking. We climb out and walk up to Bella's door. Just as she is about to open it a group of people have opened and screamed, 'Bella!'

One girl with fake badly highlighted blonde hair pulls Bella in to the house. Bella blushing as usual looks extremely uncomfortable. Rosalie says under her breath, 'That's Jessica, she's a total snob. In school she flirts with Edward and I know she's died her hair like that because she wants to look like me.'

I laugh and walk into the house. 'I'm sure every girl wants to look like you Rosalie!' She shrugs and smirks.

As I stepped in the smell of wet dog fills my nose. Instinctively my eyes widen and I feel my fangs beginning to protrude.

Esme see's this and grabs my arm. 'It's Jacob, Lexi, Bella's friend. He must me here.'

I sigh and try to relax. I don't like wolves and this one will be no exception.

'How do you two stand the smell?' My nose crumpled in disgust.

'We don't. If Esme and Carlisle gave me permission to rip his head off I would, instantly.' Said Rose, her nose turned up at the smell.

'Alright Rosalie, alright we don't want to have an argument tonight do we? Now come on we're being rude just standing in the hallway.' Said Esme as she leads us into the small living room. Here teenagers are sitting on the sofa's and crowding Bella, cans of beer in their hands.

'Where's the cop?' I ask.

'He must be out..' Said Rose.

'Time to get wasted.' I smirk at Rose and she winks at me.

'Hi, I'm Jessica! I don't think we've met before are you another Cullen?' The girl was clearly already intoxicated with alcohol and I knew I didn't like her.

'No, my names Lexi I'm one of Edward's friends.' I smile at her nicely/

'Oh..' She blushes at the sound of Edward's name. Oh for God's sake..

I roll my eyes. 'Let's get a drink Rose.'

Rose sniggers and leads me into the kitchen. A boy tall, with dark hair had his back to us and all I could smell was wolf, dirty filthy wolf. He turns around and smirks.

'Hey Rosalie.' He was kinda hot and that made me dislike him even more.

'Oh don't pretend to be nice Jacob. This is Lexi and she freakin hates wolves so if you put a toe out of line she'd be quite happy to rip your little wolf head off!'

He looks me up and down and swallows. I look at him with a bored expression. 'I could break you in half with one hand sweetie so just watch yourself ok.'

Rosalie pours us a drink each and we go back into the living room.

'You know Rose, even though he's a wolf and it's taking a huge amount of self control to not go back in there and smash his head against a wall, you have to admit he's kinda cute.'

She snorts and whispers, 'Yeah Bella thinks too.'

I gasp, 'What?!'
