I heard Lovina's angry words after me as I continued to run. Today just wasn't my day at all. Embarrassment in class, confession gone wrong and to add to that, biggest fight I ever had with my sister. This is fantastico. Rubbing the tears form my eyes, I didn't know or care where I was going. I just want to go back to Italy and spend time with grandpa Roma all day in the country side. Losing my breath, I began to slow down in the empty, dark hallways. Where should I go now? I can't go anywhere else…Definitely not back to my room…Alice isn't even on campus right now. I tightened my fists. This is a disaster. I can't run to anyone. I'm all alone. I didn't realize I stopped moving until I felt the cold wall on my forehead. Tears were pouring out of my eyes and I couldn't breathe properly. Sliding down onto the wall, I buried my face in my hands. I'm not sure how I longed I stayed crying like that but I didn't hear footsteps coming near me at all.
"Sounds like a plan, eh?" Francis said.
"It's totally awesome! It has to work. 'Toni don't look so down bro!" Gilbert said as he patted his best friend's back. I looked up but stayed quiet. Maybe they won't notice me and just walk away.
"I hope so! I don't think she's interested at all though…She just ran off afterwards." Antonio sighed. He seemed to notice me near the wall, jumped and nearly shrieked. Just my luck. "F-Feli? Ay dios…Don't scare me like that!" I forced a small smile and hoped they didn't notice how messy I probably looked.
"Mi dispiace…" I said loud enough for them to hear and got up. "I'll just, ugh, go back now." I tried to walk away but Francis stopped me.
"Felicia, what's wrong?" I stopped in my tracks. I never really heard him say my full name before. Do I dare turn to face them? "This isn't like you. You can tell us if you'd like." I heard footsteps near me and then a light touch on my shoulder.
"What Francis said. What's up?" Gilbert said. As hard as I tried not to face them, I turned around with tears in my eyes.
"Everything…Everything went bad." I said shakily. All three of them rushed towards me.
"H-Hey! Don't cry Feli!" Antonio said as he hugged me. "I really don't like seeing girls cry. Especially you! Come on, smile!" He flashed me a smile but I couldn't return it for once. "Hm, this is going to be harder than it looks. Come on, we'll make you some sweets in the kitchen!" I sniffled.
"I-is that even allowed at this time of night?" Gilbert chuckled.
"It is now." He took out some key ring filled with keys and other things on it from his pocket. "A long as Alice isn't here and we don't make a mess, we're good as nuns." Francis slapped Gilbert upside the head.
"Don't compare us to nuns!" He exclaimed. I felt myself smile a bit. Maybe this isn't so hard after all. All four of us began to walk through the halls in silence. Technically, no one was supposed to be out of their rooms since it was past curfew. It was kind of creepy to roam the halls at night but I knew nothing bad was going to happen to me.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Antonio asked as we got to the locked kitchen. Gilbert was near crouching on the floor near the door knob.
"Tch, I know what I'm doing!" He said as he tried to unlock it with a little bobby pin.
"With a bobby pin." Antonio said as he rolled his eyes.
"This is very clichéd. Even for me to say!" Francis said as he chuckled.
"Your mom is clichéd." Gilbert retorted back as he worked on the lock. I shifted from side to side nervously. I wasn't used to doing stuff like this. Alice always caught me somehow someway and I was kind of expecting her to show up and scold me again.
"M-maybe this wasn't a good idea…" I whispered.
"Aha!" Gilbert said loudly. With a click, the door opened and he stood up. "Won't work my awesome ass cheeks." He said haughtily as he walked into the kitchen. Antonio and Francis sighed and walked in as well.
"Come on Feli! We'll protect you." Antonio said happily.
"Once you taste my delicious cooking, you'll forget all about it mon cheri." Taking a deep breath, I walked into the kitchen and slowly closed the door. "Now, sit, sit! I can't have you standing like that. You must be tired enough." He pulled me into a chair and made sure I sat down. "I'll go prepare us some midnight snack." He ran off to get ingredients for whatever dish he wanted to make. Gilbert and Antonio pulled up a chair and sat down as well.
"And now the therapy session with your hosts, Gilbert and Antonio, begins." Gilbert said. Antonio lightly punched his arm.
"Take this seriously Gil!" Gilbert muttered underneath his breath but kept quiet. "So, Feli, what's wrong?" I instantly clammed up. How do I just tell them this? That means I have to tell them that Ludwig rejected me…I guess I can leave that out…I took a shaky breath.
"Well, it all started when I confessed to someone and they kind of…" I felt the tears brimming my eyes again. "Rejected me." I said quietly but they heard me.
"Oh HELL" Gilbert said with an annoyed tone. "How can anyone reject someone as cute as you?" He folded his arms. Antonio sighed.
"And when I came back to Lovina's room, I guess she was in a bad mood and we kind of fought." Antonio flinched a bit for some reason.
"A bad mood?" He asked sadly. I simply nodded.
"That's the short version." I put my head on the table. "I'm such a horrible person…" I slipped out my thought and Gilbert slapped the table which caused me to jump.
"Don't you ever say that!" He yelled. "You're a great person and whoever rejected you is a big ass!" It was ironic that he was talking about his brother without even knowing. I smiled a bit.
"It's okay Gil! Really…I'm sure Lud-" I bit my tongue. "I'm sure the guy had a reason…" Both their heads snapped to look at me.
"It was Ludwig? As in Gil's brother, Ludwig?" Antonio asked. Gilbert slapped his forehead multiple times till it left a red mark.
"That DUMBASS. He yelled. Francis came back with little dishes filled with food.
"Who?"
"She confessed to my brother and he rejected her!" Francis nearly dropped the food and started to mutter in French. I sat there in confusion. Do they know something I don't?
"This changes plans a bit, don't you think?" Antonio asked. I pushed the chair back and sat up.
"What is going on?! What are you guys talking about?" I asked a bit angrily. The trio looked at me and smiled.
"Just trust us on this Feli. We know a little thing that can help you get shy Luddy to say his true feelings about you." Gilbert laughed.
"True…feelings?" I blinked.
"Oui." Francis said while taking a bit of his food. "And that involves you and Antonio going to the ball together." Antonio spit his water out.
"What?! But I like Lovina!" He said while blushing. "No offense or anything Feli…" I snapped my head to him.
"You like my sorella?" He nodded. I smiled at him. Things were starting to make more sense now. "So this is a plan to kill two birds with one stone?"
"Ja. Pretty much! Are you in on the idea Feli?" My smile grew and I took a bite of some of Francis' delicious food.
"Of course. Lay it on me."
Short chap is short. I promise to make the next ones longer! How have you guys been? :D Enjoy and review~
