Sorry for the wait, guys! Hope this chapter makes up for it :)

Maura:

"Oh my god." Jane and I quickly turned around, our eyes wide as we saw who was standing in the doorway.

"Detective Frost," I said, slipping off of the desk and onto the little space between Jane and my desk.

"Frost," Jane said, quickly reaching for her shirt. We were both flushed, and I could tell that Barry was also red.

"I- uh- you- I- um...I'm just gonna go," he said, throwing his thumb over his shoulder and motioning towards the hallway.

"Wait," Jane said as she pulled her shirt over her head. "Frost, you...you can't tell anyone. Okay?"

"I- I won't. I wouldn't do that, Jane."

"Promise me?"

"Swear. I know that you'll tell everyone when you're ready." Jane smiled, and Frost nodded before awkwardly leaving and shutting the door behind him, tripping on one of my heels on the way out. I giggled, and Jane turned around.

"Told you so."

"What?" I asked.

"I told you that we would get caught!" Jane's face was red — more like crimson — and she looked as if she were about to explode. I thought it was from anger, and began to worry.

"Jane, I'm sorry. I—" She burst out into laughter, and I suddenly felt relieved.

"I can't believe it! Out of all people, and it was Frost," she laughed. I couldn't help but laugh along, and we both ended up laughing so hard that tears formed in our eyes.

"Well," I said as our laughter finally died down. "Maybe we shouldn't do that in my office anymore..." Jane smiled.

"Or we could just lock the door." She walked over to it and locked it, as well as the other door. She came back over to me, and kissed me passionately. I sat back down on top of my desk, and wrapped my legs around her waist. She ran her hands down my thigh, and I moaned into her mouth.

"God, Maura," she said, pulling away.

"What?" I asked nervously.

"You...your legs are so damn soft." She ran her hands over my thigh again, and bit my lip to suppress a moan. "They're like silk!"

"You're silly," I giggled, and Jane tried to stifle a laugh. "What?"

"That's a funny word."

"What is?" I asked curiously.

"Silly."

"Oh. Then I won't say it anymore."

"No!" She laughed at how loud she was. "It's cute when you say it," she smiled. Oh, god. Her dimples are going to be the death of me.

"I love your dimples," I said. I leaned in, and placed a kiss to both of them. When I pulled away, she was biting her lip.

"Where were we?" she asked, slowly closing the space between us.

"I think you were just about to-" her phone rang.

"Damn it," she cursed, getting her phone out of it's holster. "Rizzoli...oh. Hey! Yeah...um...okay. No! I...no, that's not a good idea. Are you- no. No, really I- we're busy with a case. No I- Okay, bye." She hung up, and put her phone back up.

"Who was it?"

"Dean," she grumbled.

"Gabriel? The agent you told me you dated?" She didn't have to tell me that she dated him, I already knew. But she didn't know that.

"Yeah. He wanted to go get dinner with me tonight."

"Oh. That's...oh."

"Yeah..."

"Well, at least you said no," I smiled. "Right?"

"Of course I said no," she said, placing her hands on my waist. "I'm with you now."

"Oh...so we're together now?"

"Yes. We're a couple."

"What if I don't want to be?" I smirked.

"Well, you're obviously not doing this because of the sex, seeing as I told you I wanted to wait. So...I just assumed-"

"Jane, it was a joke." I wrapped my arms around her neck, and pulled her towards me. "Of course we're a couple," I said, and I felt her shiver as my breath was hot on her lips. I kissed her slowly, and there was a knock at the door.

"Maura?" Jane and I pulled away, and I hopped off of my desk.

"Come in," I said.

"The doors locked."

"Oh, right." Well now I feel like an idiot. I walked over to the door, and opened it.

"Maura, I just wanted to talk to you about Jane," I shook my head no discreetly at Angela as she walked in, "and- oh! Janie! Hi!"

"Hi, Ma," Jane said as she hugged Angela. "Why did you need to talk to Maura about me?"

"I just needed to ask her how you were doing." Nice save, Angela.

"You couldn't have asked me?" Oops.

"Janie, you and I both know you don't want me butting around in your life, and if you're hurting, you wouldn't have told me." Ooh. Nice one.

Jane rolled her eyes.

"I'm fine, Ma."

"Okay, well..." Angela smiled. "Goodbye you two."

"Bye," Jane and I said simultaneously.

"I'm gonna get going," Jane said after looking at the time on her phone.

"Already? It's only..." I glanced at the clock on my wall "...6:30."

"I have a surprise for you tonight," Jane smiled. "Be there by 7." She gave me a quick kiss before leaving, and I bit my lip as I watched her retreating figure.

Jane:

I set the wine glasses on the counter, and got Maura's favorite bottle of wine out and filled the glasses up. I looked at the time.

6:55.

She'll be here in 5 minutes. Maura Isles is never late.

I had just lit all the candles, when there was a knock at my door. Is she early?

I opened the door (not before checking myself in the mirror) and opened it.

"Dean?" My eyes widened as I saw my ex at my doorstep, holding flowers.

"I brought you flowers," he said.

"What are you doing here?"

"You said you were busy with a case, and I...I thought I might as well come here." He walked in, and I sighed heavily, shutting the door. "Were you expecting someone?" I looked at the time. 6:59. Shit.

"Uh, actually-"

"Hey, Jane, I-" the door opened and Maura stepped in, eyes wide as she saw Dean.

"Hi, I- I'm Gabriel Dean," he said, shaking her hand.

"Maura Isles. Jane, I-?"

"No, it's not...I..."

"So you are the one she did all of this for?" Maura looked around, and was speechless. She saw everything I'd done for her, and tried to fight off a smile.

"Yes, I suppose so," she said, smiling.

"Yes, I did it all for Maura." Gabriel looked around, and saw the roses on the cabinet.

"Wait. Are you two...?"

"Yes," Jane sighed. "Maura and I are a...couple."

"Jane, I never knew you were a-"

"Don't," I warned. "I hate that word, and don't think I don't know what you were going to say." I sighed. "I'm not."

"Then why are you and her dating?"

"She's the one exception." I looked at her, and smiled.

"Well then," Dean sighed. "This is awkward."

"Only because you made it so," Maura said. "You need to leave."

"Well," he said, taken aback by Maura'a boldness. "I guess I better go."

"Isn't that what I just said?" He ignored her, and tried to give me a hug.

"Just...go. Please. Before you make things worse," I said.

"Here are your flowers," he said, holding them out to me.

"Jane hates carnations," Maura said, pushing his hand back.

"Right, uh..." He looked around nervously. "Right." He walked out of my apartment, and shut the door.

"What?" Maura asked. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"Because that was amazing," Jane laughed.

"Well, you're my girl and I don't want anyone to have you except me. I want you all to myself."

"Maur, you know I wouldn't have done anything."

"I know. But Gabriel doesn't."

"Can you please not call him that?" Maura raised her eyebrows.

"Why?"

"It's weird. I don't call him by his first name, and I dated him."

"Don't remind me." Jane laughed. "You did this all for me?"

"Yes," I smiled.

"It's...beautiful."

"Well, it's for a beautiful woman." Maura looked at me, and smiled. "I hope you're not hungry. I don't know how to cook much, and I promise I'll take you out to dinner some day, it's just, tonight I wanted to-" Maura kissed me, and I smiled against her lips.

"It's perfect. You're perfect."

"Maura?"

"Yes, Jane?" Oh god. I don't know if I can do this.

"I love you." When I saw her expression, I instantly became nervous and insecure. "I-I know it's early in the relationship and if you don't say it back I understand, but I-" Maura cut me off with a kiss. That seemed to be happening a lot.

"I love you too, Jane," she smiled. I kissed her again, and slowly started walking towards my bedroom.

"Jane, are you sure? We can wait."

"No, Maura. I'm done waiting."

"Jane, honestly. If you're not ready-"

"Maura," I laughed, "you don't know how hard it was not to just do you this morning in your office."

"Actually, I know exactly how you feel." We both smiled, and I leaned down and kissed I unzipped her dress and let it fall to the floor as I left a trail of kisses from her jaw and down her neck to her collar bone. She pulled my shirt over my head, and took my unbuttoned my jeans and let them fall to the floor after she unbuckled my belt. Now we were both standing in my room in our underwear and bra, and I smiled at her. She smiled back, and I was astounded at how beautiful she looked.

It was completely dark in my room except for the moonlight, which was glistening on her face.

I kissed her, but soon bent down.

"What are you doing?" I lifted her leg up and she used my shoulder to keep her balance as I took her heel off, then did it to the other leg. I left a trail of kisses from the inside of her thigh, up her stomach, chest, neck, and stopped at her lips. I unclasped her bra and let it fall to the floor, and she did the same to mine. I gasped as she pulled me into her, our bodies now touching in every place. I laid her down on the bed and kissed her before pulling away to look at her.

"I love you."

"I love you too," she whispered before I kissed her again.
