Very depressed lately :( My friends have ignored me and now, ditched me. I feel very lonely and just awfully depressed. On a lighter topic, my high school tried to raise money by having a fancy dress day for Children in Need. Each year got a different letter. My year got the letter 'R'. The winner got a Children in Need badge and their picture taken. I put SO much effort into my fancy dress. I got dressed as a rag doll. Got my mum to do my hair into two french plaits (hurt as hell getting it down), I spent all week getting my outfit down and dusted with and I got up early that morning and did my face all up like a rag doll. The class had to vote the best two people to win. Obviously, popularity rule, I never got one vote and the people who didn't put half the effort in got about sixteen votes. I guess it was a downfall. But it was a lot of fun and it is for charity and at least I put the effort in unlike most of the people in school who just either wore normal clothes or their onesies (they didn't care what letter their year was, they just wanted to wear onesies.)

Chapter 10.

Drip, drip, drip. The water from the tap in the darkened kitchen fell from the rim into the sink. Drip, drip, drip it went. Tohru sat on her knees at the table while Kyo stood by the window, looking out while leaning on the wall. Not one had spoken to each other about what Hatori had said. It still hadn't sunk in yet.

Kyo turned around and saw the back of Tohru's head. Her eyes were wide and glued to the wall in front of her. Kyo sighed and decided it was long enough now and it was time to talk.
"Tohru?" He called out her name and walked towards her. She didn't react to her name being called out and sat beside her. "You okay?"
"Kyo..." She whispered.
"Yes?" He placed his hand on hers.
"What am I suppose to do?" She asked, looking at him. "Having children is wonderful! They're cute, adorable and you can watch them grow and be proud and say, 'that's my boy!' or, 'that's my girl!'..."
"But?" Kyo knew there was a but.
"But...are we ready? Can we afford children?"
Kyo looked at her funny. This wasn't the kind of thing Tohru would usually be concerned about. That's something he'd be concerned about and it would be Tohru who'd say, 'As long as we love and care for this child everyday, we'll make it by somehow. We don't need to be the richest people to be the happiest.'
"Is that the real reason?" Kyo asked Tohru, knowing it was a lie for her reason for the but.
"...No..."
"Then what Tohru? I can't help you if you don't tell me the truth!"
"The truth is...I'm scared." Tohru lifted her hand from underneath Kyo and hugged her legs.
"Scared?" Kyo couldn't get his head round it.
"Yes, scared. Obviously, I've never been pregnant before but everyone knows childbirth is the most painful natural pain on earth. How can I face labour? And the nine month wait ain't exactly a treat either!" Tohru buried her face into her knees and sobbed.
Kyo got closer to her and wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on her shoulder. "Ssshhhh." He hushed her softly. "Hey," He lifted her face out of her knees and looked straight into her blurry brown eyes. "Remember, the wait and preparation is only about nine months, the child-birth is only a few hours but what we get in the end is for our whole life and totally worth the wait and pain."
Tohru wrapped her arms around Kyo and sobbed into his shoulder while he hugged her; protected her and rested his head on hers.
"I love you." Tohru murmured into his ear.
Looking down at his cute young wife he looked up at him, he reached in for an emotional kiss. After parting and brushed noses on each other, Tohru began to smile.
"I love you too." Kyo said back. Tohru began to laugh and wiped away her tears and cleaned her runny nose. "Hey!" Kyo caught Tohru's attention. "How are we going to afford everything for the child?"
Tohru smiled and replied with , "As long as we love and care for this child everyday, we'll make it by somehow. We don't need to be the richest people to be the happiest."
Knew it, Kyo thought. My words exactly!

...

Days seemed to fly by with Tohru and Kyo began to adapt the way to thinking of having a child. Though they were close to begin with, they were now closer. Kyo tried not to leave Tohru home alone as often and also tried to get home to her quicker.

Hatori had called and said he made an appointment with the hospital back in town for Tohru to go and get an ultra-sound to check the baby now that it was around the twelfth week.
"Oh! I'm so excited!" Tohru jumped with joy after Kyo got off the phone with Hatori.
"Me too." Laughed Kyo. "Hatori hasn't told any of them yet, just to be sure."
Tohru nodded. "I'm sure everything is fine I mean...I've had morning sickness, and I'm getting bloated you know...it's all getting bigger."
Kyo laughed. "Yeah, yeah. I know. I'm up with you every morning holding your hair and I can see everything's getting...bigger."
Tohru walked up to the long mirror and stood in front of it. She pulled up her top and began to rub her belly gently. Kyo came up from behind her and wrapped his arms around her and placed his hands on her belly too and kissed Tohru's neck as she giggled.
"Look at us." She looked into the mirror at the expecting couple. "Are we rushing?"
"Rushing?" Kyo looked from the mirror to Tohru.
"I mean, it wasn't that long we were on honeymoon. On honeymoon, it wasn't that long from the wedding. On the wedding it wasn't that long since the engagement and since the engagement, it wasn't that long since we left high school."
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Wasn't that long since I was a cat either."
Tohru gave a little laugh, rubbed the back of her head on Kyo's neck. "I miss you as a cat. You were so cute and ginger. I miss being able to hold you in my arms too. You were so soft."
Kyo rolled his eyes. "I personally hated it. To turn into a cat every time I got close to a girl was just complete bullshit!"
Tohru kissed Kyo's cheek. "And I'm sure you don't miss...the true form."
"No, that disgusting monster from hell." Kyo turned away in disgust. "I was a disgusting monster."
Tohru pulled Kyo round and clasped his face and pulled his angry eyes down into her soft eyes. "Yes, the true cat form was a disgusting monster but it wasn't you. It was the spirit itself. The bitterness of the spirit for being tricked by the rat. Now look at you, rid of the spirit and still not a disgusting monster, that's proof it wasn't part of you but the spirit. For when the spirit was set free, you stayed like this. A beautiful and kind man." She touched his lips with hers.
"Before," Kyo said as he parted. He then kissed her again. "Never would I have thought," Kyo kissed Tohru again. "That I'd be able to do this." He kissed her another time. "Get married," Kissed again. "Have children," and again. "All with a woman," and another. "All biological." The last kiss.
Tohru giggled again and stared back at the mirror. Nothing could ruin this moment.

...

"What!?" Kyo gasped.
"This is what you call pseudocyesis." The doctor explained in the room where Tohru got her ultrasound.
Tohru looked from Kyo to doctor, doctor to Kyo. "Kyo," She spoke out. "I don't understand."
"Neither do I." Kyo held Tohru's hand. "Explain!"
The doctor sighed and sat down. "Pseudocyesis is also known as false pregnancy."
Tohru's hand flew to cover her mouth. Her grip on Kyo's hand tightened and she huddled into him with her eyes watering. Kyo, took the news another way. He also clenched Tohru's hands as well as his teeth. All around his body, Kyo's blood began to boil.
"What do you mean FALSE pregnancy?"
The doctor took a moment to think of the right words to say to the couple.
"But...but...but...I had morning sickness and nausea. My belly and...BREASTS began to enlarge!" She spat saying the word breasts.
"Yes. Pseudocyesis has the exact symptoms of pregnancy. It is only proven to be false pregnancy we perform a pelvic test and an abdominal ultrasound. Exactly the same tests we take if you were pregnant. A foetus didn't appear on the ultrasound. I'm...very sorry." He broke it down to them as gently as possible.
Tohru began to cry uncontrollably into Kyo. Kyo tried to calm his rage down, saving it for later.
"Can...you just answer one question for me." Kyo breathed heavily.
"Yes?"
"What causes this?"
"Well...you see...when a woman feels an intense desire to get pregnant, her body may produce some pregnancy signs. The woman's brain then misinterprets those signals as pregnancy, and triggers the release of hormones that lead to actual pregnancy symptoms."
Kyo looked down at Tohru who seemed puzzled. "I knew you wanted children for the later future but...not this much!"
"When a woman believes she is pregnant, especially for a period of several months," the doctor went on. "This news can really...be a blow to your wife."
"You're damn right it is!" Kyo held Tohru tightly in her arms as she cried.
"I am here for support. To help you Tohru, I'd like you to go into therapy. It will help and it's also a way to treat this." The doctor smiled trying to give support. "So please, if there is any concerns, I'm here for you." The doctor wrote a number down and handed it to Tohru. "Call the therapist. Think of it as a treatment to pseudocyesis."

...

That night they stayed in the main house.
"HAHA!" Shigure laughed. "Couple problems already Kyo?" Kyo didn't say anything and walked straight past the ex-dog. "Aw...what did you do Kyo? Put your manhood in the wrong hole?"
Kyo ignored him which really surprised Shigure. Tohru also didn't say a word.
"Sissy?" Kisa walked up, confused. "Are you okay?"
Tohru didn't reply. Momiji hearing the commotion came into the room.
"Tohru! How are you?!" He jumped for joy. "Hey Kyo! Kyo, Kyo, Kyo, Kyo!" He sang in tune Kyo's name.
Shigure laughed trying to pinpoint the couples problems.
"Shigure, shut the fuck up." Akito told Shigure off.
"Now, now my flower." Shigure petted Akito on the head like a flower. "Young Kyo here needs out help."
Kyo and Tohru walked across the floor slowly, hand-in-hand, ignoring the whole entire family.
"What you do Kyo? Cheat on her? Say she was fat? Said she looked ugly?" Nothing. "Oh! I know! You got her knocked up!?" Shigure joked.
Kyo kept walking still holding Tohru's hand but Tohru stopped hearing Shigure's comment. Kyo suddenly couldn't go any further because Tohru stopped.
"Tohru?" He turned round and looked at her.
Tohru dropped Kyo's hand and dropped to the floor in floods of tears. This made everyone run in worry to her.
"Are you okay?" They all asked.
"FOR FUCK SAKE!" Kyo yelled, surprising everyone who punched a wall, tears streaming down his face. He then dropped to the floor in tears.
Everyone was really worried now.
