Chapter 9: A Symbol of Faith
Hunter had woken up to the noise of crashing glass and doors slamming, she had discovered that Luffy and Sanji had met Chopper and were trying to catch him so he could join their crew. Nami was awake as well, she had been talking too doctor Kureha about Chopper and where he came from. Kureha explained how Chopper had been abandoned by his herd because of his nose and after eating the Human Human fruit he was cast out by his herd completely, after trying to interact with the people of Drum kingdom they turned on him believing he was a monster and not long after he was adopted by a quack called Hiluluk but their time together was short because he was dying. "That old quack asked me to take care of Chopper after he died, I didn't understand at the time but after I discovered he'd eaten a poison mushroom Chopper had given him I knew why that old quack had gone to the palace" Kureha further explained that at the time of Wapol's reign he had declared the 20 MD's were sick and need treatment but Kureha and Hiluluk knew it was a trap to catch them but Hiluluk went anyway knowing what would happen.
"After hearing that the old quack had died Chopper appeared before me begging me to teach him about medicine and how to be a doctor so I took him in and since then he's learned everything from me but his heart is still broken from what happened to Hiluluk, I doubt he'll ever trust humans again" Kureha face looked solemn, Nami looked the same after hearing the full story Hunter on the other hand was getting dressed and had been quiet through the whole story. Hunter turned around to see that Chopper had appeared "Doctor we have trouble" Chopper said "Wapol's back" after hearing this Hunter grabbed her sword off the wall "I see" Kureha got up "If you're planning on fighting Wapol you should avoid overdoing any strenuous attacks" Kureha looked at Hunter "Don't worry about me I plan to kick Wapol's butt before that happens" Hunter said looking determined.
"Hunter, are you sure you want to do this" Nami asked "Don't worry about me I'm sure Luffy and Sanji are outside as well so stay here Nami" Hunter left the room with Kureha and Chopper "Hey are you really a pirate" Chopper asked, Hunter looked at Chopper "Ya I am" Hunter said with a smile as they got to the door Hunter saw Wapol and his two men outside she felt the same anger return from when she last met that man. "Hey where's the flag of Drum Kingdom" Wapol asked, "That old thing, I burned it" Kureha said "So it you, you old hag" Wapol said pointing to Kureha "This place is Hiluluk's grave; not a place for scum like you, so you may as well get out of here Wapol this kingdom is finished" Kureha said as Hunter grabbed the hilt of her sword readying herself to fight. "What that, this place is that quacks grave don't make me laugh" Wapol said while laughing both Chopper and Hunter looked angry as that man "Hey it you" Hunter heard Luffy from behind her and turned to see he was running straight for Wapol. "King Wapol it Straw hat" one of Wapol's men pointed towards Luffy, as Luffy rushed towards Wapol Hunter smiled as Luffy punched Wapol in the face sending him flying to the edge.
"King Wapol" both of Wapol's men grabbed him before he fell over the edge of the mountain, "So it those guys again" Sanji said joining the others at the front of the castle doors, "How dare you hit King Wapol, don't you know he's this country's ruler" one of Wapol's men said "So, I'm still going to kick his butt" Luffy poked his tongue out to them. Hunter stood firm as she drew out her sword "You ready to fight" Hunter asked Sanji "Ya, these bastard need to be taught some manners" Sanji said looking ready to fight Wapol and his men. "Hey Hunter you feeling better" Luffy asked "Ya, I'm fine for now so let's beat these guys" Hunter pointed her sword at Wapol, "Ok let's…It's so cold" Luffy hugged himself from the cold weather. "You just noticed" Sanji yelled; as Luffy ran back into the castle to get a coat Chopper came up to Sanji "Hey your friend his body just stretched, what is he?" Chopper asked "Him, He's a monster" Sanji smiled. Hunter smiled as well she knew that if Chopper saw that there were others like him he may not see himself as the only monster in the world.
"Damn I already killed Dalton and now that witch and those pirates are blocking me from entering the palace, if we get rid of them I can start rebuilding Drum kingdom" as Hunter heard Wapol's voice she ran straight for him. "Hey don't think you can pass us we'll get rid of you before you can" Hunter hit both men and send them flying and struck Wapol with her sword against his armour "What wrong with you" Wapol asked as he pushed Hunter back, "What you said, You said you killed Dalton is that true" Hunter asked looking angry "I see so you met Dalton, that's right I killed him hours ago back down there in one of towns, he tried to kill me his own king well I showed him what happens to those who defy me" Wapol laughed as he finished talking Hunter charged at Wapol with fury "How dare you laugh at a man who was following his pride as a warrior" Hunter assaulted Wapol with a barrage of strikes that sent him flying near the edge of the mountain again "Damn I should of brought the 20 MD's with me to close these wounds" Wapol wiped the blood from his face from where Hunter had cut him.
Hunter brought her sword up to her eye level as she was taught when using a katana she was going to throw Wapol of the mountain in her next strike, but before she could move she dodged an arrow from one of Wapol's men. "I won't let you kill King Wapol" the man said as Hunter moved back to where doctor Kureha was standing "Your quite skilled" Kureha said "Years of training and experience in fighting" Hunter gripped her sword with both hands and took her stance to defend herself and Kureha from Wapol and the man next to him. Hunter saw that Sanji was covered in strange hair balls and Chopper in his human form was trying to get them off but were sticking to him when he got them off "What are those two doing" Hunter said "Ha your teamwork is pathetic, those hairballs can catch fire you know" as the man with the bow aimed a fire arrow at them Sanji and Chopper jumped out of the arrows projection. "Get out of here" Chopper swung his fist at the man "Chess out of the way" Wapol came towards Chopper and swallowed him, "Chopper" Kureha yelled Hunter couldn't believe what she saw Wapol's mouth was huge "He must have devil fruit powers" Hunter thought "Sanji give me a hand" Hunter heard Luffy as he came running towards "Ok grab on" Sanji said as he prepared his leg "Give him hell Luffy" Hunter jumped out of the way "Gum Gum Air Force" Luffy grabbed Sanji's leg and Sanji kicked his leg sending Luffy straight into Wapol's stomach with such force it forced Chopper out.
The two men looked shocked at what had just happened "Thanks for saving me" Chopper said as Sanji talked to Luffy about wearing Nami's coat, Hunter watched as the two men looked over Wapol "Hey are you ok" Chopper asked "I'm alright Chopper" but Hunter was lying her body was struggling to stand "I guess this infection was more severe than I thought" as Hunter took in a deep breath to get her senses back. Wapol got up and he looked furious from what luffy had done "He's getting up, he must be strong to withstand that attack" Luffy said as he held his hat, Hunter had to agree "You lot will pay for your insolence" suddenly Wapol began to transform "What the hell" Hunter looked shocked at what was happening to Wapol, "My devil fruit allows me to transform into anything I've eaten, like this morning I ate several cannons and a restaurant back in town so I'll transform into something that will destroy you" Wapol transformation wasn't as impress as he made it sound all he transformed into was a house door on his front and two cannons for arms "Is that supposed to scare us" Hunter looked disappointed she was looking for something more challenging from this man not something stupid and easy to beat.
"Prepare to see the power of the munch munch fruit" suddenly Wapol swallowed the two men, "He ate his own men" Chopper said looking surprised, after a few minutes passed both men came out of Wapol "Behold we are Chessmarimo", "Your just sitting on top of him" Sanji yelled at them looking annoyed "Be careful they may not seem much but they're both dangerous" Kureha warned them Hunter stood her ground ready for whatever was coming. "You fool still don't understand, this entire country is mine and I decide who will live and who will die and I've decided I don't want that flag flying on my castle" Wapol aimed his cannon at the flag "Don't you dare" Hunter yelled but Wapol had already fired a shot and it hit the flag pole, Chopper looked up as the flag and was shocked at what had happened Hunter knew what that flag meant to him Luffy saw the look on Choppers face "How could you do this to doctors flag" Chopper charged straight for Wapol, "Kill him" Wapol ordered but Chopper jumped out of the way and landed on Wapol "I won't kill you, so get out of this country" Chopper said but Hunter knew that wasn't going to work "Chopper what you doing, get away from him" Kureha yelled to Chopper.
But it was too late Wapol aimed his cannon hands and blew Chopper away, "Damn you Wapol don't you have any honour" Hunter yelled "Honour who cares about that as long as I'm king everyone will do as I say or face the consequences" Wapol laughed "Damn you" as Hunter moved to attack Wapol Kureha grab her "What you doing" she asked "Stopping you from making your condition worse, your body can't take the strain" Hunter tried to argue but she could feel it her body was already at its limit, "What's he doing" Sanji was looking up as Hunter turned around she saw that luffy was trying the flag pole in place "Hey big mouth" Luffy shouted "How dare you attack this flag don't you know what this flag stands for" the look on Luffys face showed he was angry at Wapol "What you talking about, that flag is just a stupid decoration to you pirates" Wapol said "You don't get it" Luffy shouted back, "It you who doesn't get it, I'm the king and I'm saying that flag doesn't belong on my castle" Wapol fired again at the flag "Luffy" Hunter shouted but the cannon ball had already hit him.
"Mahahaha see that brat was blown up with that flag" Wapol continued to laugh Hunter glared at Wapol with fury but as the smoke cleared it looked like Luffy was ok "This flag isn't meaningless it a symbol of our faith, I don't know who's flag this is but this flag represents the promise of life on the seas so you can't destroy it so easily" Luffy shouted while holding the flag up to show Wapol that he couldn't destroy it even if he tried again. Wapol looked up in anger but Chopper looked up in wonder at the pirate who had defended his father's flag, "Hey reindeer, I'm going to beat them up, what are you going to do" Luffy asked Chopper. "Me?" Chopper said Hunter turned around to see what Wapol was going to do next "You idiot I'll blow you right off along with that flag" as Wapol took aim again Sanji ran towards him "Don't think I'll let you do what you want" as he ran Kureha kicked him "You can't fight your spine was dislocated when you got here any further damage will result in death" Kureha said "What do think you're doing I'll destroy you all" Wapol said "King Wapol look out" as the two men jumped in front of Wapol to block Chopper "That's right you beat him up reindeer" Luffy shouted encouraging Chopper "I won't let you lay I finger on king Wapol said the two men.
Hunter watched as Chopper stood before the two men "I don't understand you, you fighting for a country who consider you a monster, you have no friends so why fight us" the two men said "I don't care what you say, even if I have no friends I won't let you insult the doctors name" Chopper responded "What are you talking about reindeer, I'm your friend" Luffy launched himself at Wapol and slammed into him sending him back a few meters from where luffy landed. "You ok Straw hat" Chopper asked "I'm fine, I'm made of rubber" Luffy said getting up facing Wapol, "Reindeer think you can take that guy" Luffy pointed towards the two men "Ya, there just weaklings to me" Chopper replied back "Ok then, I'll take care of big mouth" Luffy said facing Wapol "You're getting on my nerves" Wapol said.
Hunter tried to move to help but found her body was already at the limit to which she could move, "You should leave the fighting to those two, when that kid get serious even I can't stop him" Kureha said while watching Chopper fight the two men. Hunter knew it would be best to leave the fighting to Luffy but he was concentrating to much on Chopper's fight to notice that Wapol was slipping by them to get into the castle, "You aren't getting into this castle Wapol" Hunter stretched her hands out to stop Wapol from entering "Do think you can stop me" Wapol punched Hunter in the chest and sent her flying into the castle. "Hunter" Nami shouted as she saw Hunter fly into the wall, Hunter got up but was coughing blood up from where Wapol had punched her, "As if some girl could stop me from entering my castle" Wapol had transformed back to his original body "Damn you, you haven't changed at all" Hunter muttered under her breath "After I've done with you and that girl I'll open the weapons vault and transform into something that will destroy your friends and put this country under my rule again" as Wapol charged straight at Hunter, Hunter dodged and felt herself pull something from the ground and swing it at Wapol. It hit Wapol with force and sent him flying toward the castle doors again, as hunter turned her head to see what hit Wapol she saw it wasn't a stick or even an icicle it was a stream of water that had turned to ice the moment it hit him. "What the hell, Hunter I thought you could only control fire" Nami shouted from the stair case, Hunter was just as surprised but before she could respond Wapol attack again and this time Hunter again pull the ice from the ground and it turned to water making a barrier between her and Wapol and again the water turned to ice.
As Wapol hit the ice wall Hunter looked at what she created "Ok first it was fire, now I can control water; this has got to be the weirdest day of my life" Hunter thought as she push the wall she created down causing the water to splash on the floor, Wapol had back off looking puzzled and angry at the same time "Ok how is it that you can control ice like that" Wapol asked "Like I'll tell you" Hunter stood ready to fight Wapol but could feel her body once again becoming difficult to move. "Doesn't matter if I can't eat you I'll eat your friend" Wapol went straight for Nami but Nami had already started running when Luffy kicked Wapol against the steel door in the centre of the room. "You guys ok" Luffy asked "We're fine" Hunter replied she waited for Wapol to appear it; was obvious that the door Wapol had landed against was the door to the weapons vault, as Wapol came back into view he looked happy "You've just landed me in the place I was looking for Straw hat now with all these weapons I'll transform into the most powerful man in this entire kingdom" as Wapol reach in to get the key his face went from happy to worried "Where's the key it has to be here" as Wapol checked all his pocket he couldn't fine the key anywhere and looked back at the guys with a blank face.
"I still have one last trick up my sleeve" as Wapol ran off Luffy chased after him, Hunter wanted to follow but she collapsed on her knees when she tried "Hunter you ok" Nami kneel by her "Sorry Nami, seem my body won't listen to me" Hunter smiled at Nami "At least you're ok, anyway want to explain what you just did just now" Nami pointed to the water on the floor that had frozen over "I don't really know Nami I just felt myself pulling on something and just used it to hit Wapol" Hunter said as the commotion upstairs got louder "Nami, do me a favour could you help me to the doors I want to see if the other are ok" Hunter pointed towards the door "Ok" as Nami help Hunter to her feet Hunter knew she would owe Nami a favour in return but she didn't care. As they got closer to the doors Hunter saw that Sanji was crawling towards them and Chopper and doctor Kureha were standing outside looking up listening to the fight that was going on, "So your alive I see" Kureha said as she noticed both Hunter and Nami "What, it'll take more than a punch to knock me out" Hunter said while smiling. Kureha returned to listening to the fight Chopper was still looking up when both Hunter Nami stopped to see what had happen to both Luffy and Wapol.
The fight ended with Luffy sending Wapol flying through the sky Hunter was glad that it was over know the country was safe and Wapol was gone for good, Kureha looked pleased as well that it was over with Wapol's defeat, Hunter heard a noise behind her as she turned around to see who it was she saw Zoro and Ussop coming out of a tunnel door from the ground "Why you pushing me" Zoro said trying to get Ussop of him "I'm just backing you up" Ussop said while hiding behind Zoro "Yhaaaaa" Hunter saw luffy launch himself toward Zoro and Ussop "Oh guys" as Luffy realized who it was before hitting them. After the snow dust had settled hunter saw Vivi come out of the tunnel as well "What the hell did you do that for" Zoro shouted at luffy looking angry, "Sorry I thought you were more of big mouth men" Luffy said looking sorry but happy at the same time. "Is Nami and Sanji ok" Vivi asked "Yep, Hunter too" Luffy replied back, "Hunter?" all three said looking puzzled until they noticed Hunter watching them, "Hunter, we thought you were still at Daltons place" Vivi ran up to Hunter "Ya I sort of collapsed after you guys left" Hunter said rubbing the back of her neck "What, I knew you weren't well why you make us leave you" Ussop said looking annoyed "Sorry but it properly a good think because doctor Kureha came by when I did" Hunter said.
"Well at least you're all alright" Vivi said looking calm after Hunter explained how she got up to the castle in the first place. "Anyway why were you up here in the first place" Zoro asked Luffy, "I just ran that king guy out of here" Luffy said as a man came out of the tunnel, It was Dalton though he was covered in bandages and blood he looked shocked at what luffy had said "Wait was that Wapol I saw flying" Dalton asked "Yep" Luffy replied back "and what about the other two" Dalton asked again. "The reindeer beat them up" Luffy said "A reindeer?" Dalton look puzzled at what Luffy had said. Hunter saw Chopper trying to hide behind a tree but was doing it badly so Dalton noticed, "A blue nose" Dalton said hunter noticed that Dalton knew who chopper was and he fell to his knees and bowed in front of him "Thank you, I believe know this country will get better thank you" Dalton said while keeping his head bowed.
Hunter smiled she knew that because Chopper had fought Wapol and his men, he had played a big part in the rebirth of this and how the country would grow to become. As the other men came up they noticed Chopper and panicked "What's that" they pointed to Chopper "It's a monster" they screamed "Don't hurt him" Dalton ordered "Ahhhh a monster" Ussop screamed Chopper became scared and ran off, "You idiot he our new crew mate and you've scared him off" Luffy hit Ussop and ran after Chopper, "Everyone" Kureha yelled to the men making them jump "Dr Kureha" they said looking scared If no one's hurt carry the sick and wounded inside" Hunter was helped back in by the men and laid on the separate bed while Dalton took the new bed that was in the room. Nami had been put back into her bed even when she was trying to hide from Kureha. Sanji had been taken back so Kureha could put his spin back in place the men could hear Sanji's screams and look more scared than usual, "I'm glad you're alright young lady" Dalton said while looking at Hunter "Thanks, I thought you were dead when Wapol told us what happen back in town" Hunter said "I nearly was, but thanks to your friends and the 20 MD's I was saved but I wanted to stop Wapol so I came up here to stop him myself by bowing this castle up" Dalton said, but as soon as he said it Hunter hit him in the head the other looked in shock at what Hunter had done "Don't ever say that, you don't sacrifice your life just to end one man madness the only time you do that is when everyone else wants to sacrifice themselves for their country along with you weather in battle or when you're the last man standing that Is the mark of a man who has lived an honorable life, so don't let me hear you say those word again" Hunter said looking at Dalton very sternly. Dalton looked up at Hunter rubbing his head and saw she was serious about what she had said so he smiled to show she was right, Hunter went back and sat back on the bed as Kureha came back into the room, "His injuries have gotten worse from overworking his body" as she drank from the bottle "Dalton you wouldn't know where the key to the weapons vault is do you" Kureha asked Dalton.
"The key to the weapons vault, Wapol carried that with him at all time so he must have it" Dalton said "Oh, too bad since he was sent flying I won't be able to open it" as Kureha took another sip from the wine bottle. "Why do you want to open the weapons vault" Dalton asked "It's a secret" Hunter could tell that doctor Kureha was planning something, "Hey doc about our fee you couldn't slide it could you" Nami said looking with a devious smile "Don't be stupid you and these two need a few more days of bed rest before you can be considered healed" Kureha said "She's right Nami you, Hunter and Sanji need to heal" Vivi said "Well I guess you won't be needing this then" Nami held up a strangle key in front of everyone "That's the key to the weapons vault" Dalton said looking surprised "How you get that" Kureha said "I stole it" Nami said. Hunter sniggered as she knew that Nami had come up with a plan to get them out of here and not have to pay for their treatment, "You've got a lot of nerve trying to negotiate with me" Kureha said while Nami smiled "Ok with this your medical bill is paid but you still need to rest here for 2 days" as Kureha walk away with the key "Hey if that's the way you're going to be I'll take that key back" Nami said holding her hand out to take the key back, Kureha turned back while smiling sinisterly at Nami "Listen I have to do something's so don't even think to take my coat in the closet over there, and if you think you can leave here with your friends then know this I won't let you go" as Kureha walked away with the men following her to go to the weapons vault Hunter got to her feet and grabbed her sword and tied it back to her hip "I guess we should take her warning and not leave" Hunter said hinting that she understood what Kureha had said "Ya we better grab Sanji quickly before she gets back" as Nami moved to grab the coat form the closet.
After Vivi brought Sanji out Hunter grabbed the door and opened it and check to see that Kureha wasn't watching them, "Ok coast is clear" as Hunter opened the door for Nami, Vivi and Sanji she looked back to Dalton "Thank you for helping us" Hunter bowed to show her thanks, as she brought herself back up she quickly saw Dalton's face, He was both surprised and smiling "May you and your friends travel safe" Dalton said as Hunter took hold of the door and closed it. Hunter caught up to the other outside the castle, "Look I'm a reindeer I have hooves and antlers, I also have a blue nose" Hunter saw Chopper facing Luffy "I do want to be a pirate but, but I'm not human I'm a monster I can't have friends" Chopper yelled Hunter saw that Chopper was trying to convince Luffy to leave him but she also saw the longing to go with them in his eyes. "Anyway I'm staying here, but if you ever come back come visit me sometime" Chopper said "Just shut up and come with us" Luffy shouted and as his echo faded Chopper began to cry, Hunter along with everyone else smiled "Ok" Chopper said while wiping his tears away.
As Chopper went inside to say goodbye Hunter sat down in the snow "Hey Hunter you feeling better" Zoro asked "A bit but with Chopper coming with us I should be back up and fighting in no time" Hunter said to Zoro. After a while had passed Hunter got up as she heard a strange noise coming from the castle "What's that" she said "Seriously they can't keep it down while Chopper says goodbye" Nami said looking at the castle gates. But it became apparent who was making the noise Chopper came out in his reindeer form pulling the sleigh "Everyone get in" Chopper yelled "Why?" but then a flying knife passed hunter and she realized what was happening "GET BACK HERE CHOPPER" Kureha was throwing an arsenal of weapons at them and everyone was shocked and scared as they saw Kureha get closer. As everyone jumped into the sleigh Hunter saw that Ussop had put the line up on the lift they had used to get up to the castle, as Chopper jumped onto the line Ussop was holding luffy and everyone else was looking around to see what was happening. Hunter looked back and saw that Kureha had stopped so she looked forward as Chopper got closer to the ground.
Once they hit the ground chopper continued to pull the sleigh, Hunter looked back at the mountains as the got further away "I wonder what happened back there" she thought, once they were a fair distance from the mountains Chopper stopped and took off the sleighs reins and walked to the back of the sleigh to take one more look of the mountains that had been his home. Suddenly Hunter heard a load sound coming from the mountains "What's happening" she asked but then a bright light came out of nowhere and she saw something amazing "So pretty" Nami said looking at the amazing sight, everyone looked up and was amazed by the amazing thing that was happening Chopper was crying. He continued to cry as he saw the shape of the pink snow make the mountains look like a giant cherry blossom tree, Hunter smiled as she looked at the marvellous sight "Ok guys let go" Nami said as she got back into the sleigh Chopper wiped the tears from his eyes as he went back to pulling the sleigh.
As the boarded the Merry hunter sat down to ease the strain of her body, "If you rest here you should feel better soon" Chopper said as he checked Hunters wounds again "Ok doctor" Hunter said as the guys got the ship ready to sail. "Ok we have everything" Nami asked "Ya let go" Luffy said raising his hands above his head, once the ship was out in open waters Luffy and the guys were celebrating the welcoming of a new crewmate and their victory over Wapol and his men. Hunter was still sitting down watching the guys drink and party "You ok Chopper" Hunter sked as she turned her head to see if Chopper was alright, Chopper had been staring at Drum island after going out into open water "Is Chopper ok" Ussop asked "He's properly thinking about everyone back home, this is the first time he's left" Nami said. After a while Chopper was pulled in by the guys and was partying with them for hours "Ok I propose a toast to our new crewmate Chopper" Ussop said lifting his drink up "Ya" everyone joined in as they raised their drinks to Chopper joining them, as Hunter drank her drink she looked back at Drum Island and smiled "Can't believe we went through all that, still I wonder how can I control water when I just learned I can control fire" Hunter thought she remembered when she controlled the water to hit Wapol she was feeling more determined to stop Wapol then she did back in Little garden with the baroque works agent.
"Whatever the case I guess I'll have to train myself to control this power and maybe I can find some answers to why the elders had to scar my back all those years ago" Hunter clenched her hand as she reached the decision to use this power of hers to get stronger and one day find out the secrets to the symbols on her back.
Back at drum Kingdom
"They must be out of drum Kingdoms range by now" Dalton said while sitting next to Kureha "Who would of how that old quacks experiments would work, and that the miracle it brought was that reindeer leaving to be a pirate" Kureha said as she drank her wine. "So what you going to do now that Wapol is gone for good Dalton" Kureha asked, Dalton put his hand together and placed them under his chin to think "I was considering leaving this country, to let the people build a new kingdom but now that Wapol is gone I've been considering staying to help" Dalton said while smiling "I guess you do have the right attitude and strength to help lead this country " as Kureha stood up and looked into the distance "The right attitude and strength, I guess you right a leader needs many qualities to lead a country the fact is I saw those qualities in two young girls I met long ago" Dalton said as he remembered that day.

"The world summit again" Wapol said looking annoyed "I hate coming to these thing every year" as Wapol walked in front of his men, "You're so right King Wapol" said Marimo, Dalton stopped at the fountain looking solemn as Wapol and his men continued towards the place the summit was happening. "Things are only getting worse for Drum kingdom, the rift between the people and the king is only escalating further towards disaster" as Dalton thought this he noticed another man approaching the summit "Look that the king of Alabasta, Cobra Nefertari" Someone said as Nefertari entered the building "A King know wide for his wise and just rule" Dalton thought as he join Wapol again inside the building.
"The Revolutionist Dragon, in little than 5 to 6 years he could become a dangerous enemy set against our rule and ideals, we must do everything in our power to prevent this man's ideals from spreading to our countries and inciting war" the meeting had begun with the identity of the man who had been causing problems in several countries though Dalton remained quiet he could tell the Wapol was interest at all in the meeting at all. "Yawn, Well I don't know about you and your countries but mines to well governed for my people to be taken in by some revolutionist, go ahead and catch him if you want but leave me out" Wapol said while picking his nose "You selfish fool" Nefertari banged the table with anger and tripped Wapol chair as he fell to the floor "Why do you think we gather here at the world summit, just act like a king for once" as Nefertari scolded Wapol Dalton saw that the king was not happy "No one talks to me that way" as Wapol got up ready to insult Nefertari for humiliating him "ENOUGH" a load voice rang through the hall.
Both men along with everyone else looked up and saw who had shouted "This meeting is not for us to brawl over senseless dripple, Wapol you are a king so you should act like one now sit down and listen before you cause any more trouble at this summit" said the man, Wapol looked at him with distain as he sat back down, Dalton looked at the man and knew who he was "King Soren, the mightiest and most respected king of Caldona, known throughout the world as the strongest king to stand against any enemy and the only king who stands against the government" Dalton thought, he had seen this man many time when Wapol's father was alive. As the meeting ended Wapol was still fuming from today's events "Well that was a enormous waste of time" as Wapol walked down the path he noticed a young girl with blue hair "Hey isn't she Cobra's daughter" Wapol asked "It is your majesty" said Chess. Wapol smiled as he moved closer and then swung his hand straight into the little girl "Oh no my hand slipped" Wapol said looking pleased Dalton looked on with fury his king just slapped the daughter of another king and was pleased about it "Princess Vivi" as the little girls companion kneeled down to see if she was alright "I'm really sorry, your Nefertari brat aren't you it must be so bad to have a father like that" Wapol said as he insulted the girl's father in front of her and her companion "How dare you" as the girls companion looked up in anger and disgust "Stop Igaram, I'm fine" as the young girl got up trying to hold back her tears "My apologize I wasn't looking where I was going" the girl said to Wapol who looked disappointed that the girl wasn't crying at all "That is quite a child, in a place like this any act could cause an all-out war, she so young to be so wise" Dalton said as he watched the girl continue to smile "What a annoying brat, let's go Dalton" Wapol said as he moved away from the girl and her companion "Please forgive us" Dalton said to the man as he moved away.
As the day lingered on Dalton was walking by himself thinking about the girl, he had caught seen her earlier and came to know that the girls name was Vivi but couldn't help but wonder why he didn't stop his king from doing the deed. "Hey Dalton get over here" Wapol shouted as Dalton join him and the other men "Yes my king" Dalton asked "Where've you been, you realize I could have been assassinated while you were wondering off" Wapol said as he punched Dalton in the stomach. As Dalton landed on the floor Wapol continued to beat him "You duty is to me and me alone so don't think you can just do as you please" as Wapol said this Dalton took the blunt of Wapol's beatings for several minutes. Suddenly he didn't feel the beatings anymore and looked up to see a young girl standing between him and Wapol "Get out of my way you brat" Wapol said to the girl but she didn't move "Do you know who I am, I'm the king of Drum so I command you to move" but still the girl didn't move Dalton looked up and was puzzled why was this girl standing up for him "Alright you've asked for this" as Wapol began to slap the girl a hand grabbed his fist before it hit the girl "I think you should reconsider what you do next Wapol" as Dalton looked up he saw that king Soren had grabbed Wapol's hand.
Wapol pulled his hand from Soren and moved back looking scared and annoyed at the man "Are you alright Dalton" Soren asked as he helped him up "I'm fine your majesty" Dalton said not wanting to cause trouble "If you're sure" Soren said as he turned to Wapol "I think it would be best if you go Wapol, before you actually cause a war here" Soren said looking at Wapol sternly, "Fine, let's go" Wapol moved away Dalton followed suite but bowed to the young girl to thank her, as he moved away he heard Soren talk to the girl "Kaya that was reckless, he could of hurt you" Soren said "I could stand by while he beat him grandpa, it not right no king should beat his subject nor those that he rules, you told me that so how could I just stand back and do nothing" the young girl said looking angry and upset, Soren kneeled in front of the girl and smiled "I know and I'm very proved of you Kaya, but next time don't be rash otherwise your mother will kill me" Soren said. As Dalton caught up to Wapol he couldn't help but think of the two girls he had meet, one who was wise at such a young age and another who was brave enough to stand against a king's wrath he couldn't help but smile as he board their ship back to drum kingdom.

"Those two have grown to become fine women, I hope I can see them again someday" Dalton said as Kureha sat back down next to him, "Dalton you got a see this" as two men came out running from the castle. "What is it" Dalton asked "Look at these" as Dalton looked at both wanted poster he saw it was Straw Hat and Hunter. "They have bounties on their heads" Dalton said as he looked back at the men "Well they are a bunch of rouges then" as Kureha took the posters and looked at them, "How did you come by these" Dalton asked both men "Well we only just remembered that we had these posters, the girl's poster appeared a few days ago when some stranger came through town and let it slip from his pocket we tried to return it but he disappeared before we could, as for Straw hats poster we were given it from another stranger that came through town a few days ago after Blackbeard attack he told us 'If a man wearing a Straw hat comes through here, tell him I'll be in Alabasta for 10 days and no more' after that he left" as the men finished their tale Dalton looked at Kureha and was puzzled by her expression "Is something wrong doctor" Dalton asked, "Tell me Dalton do you a man by the name Gol D Roger" Kureha asked "Gol D?, do you mean Gold Roger" Dalton replied.
"Ya, is that what he goes by now" Kureha said while smiling, Dalton looked at her waiting to see what she was thinking. "It seems that the pirate Chopper left with isn't any ordinary pirate" Kureha looked into the distance as she smiled "The spirit of D, it still lives what ya now".
