Hi everybody! im back! this time for good! Thank you for all your support! it was really a big help! im so glad! it really doesmean a lot to me! plus ive been having a major case of writers block! but my inspiration is back! and I have a TON of new ideas! also MY MOM FOUND IT! she found sonadowbat! i left it pulled up on my computer and took the laptop away im actually using the library's computer now! " This is Shadow..." Sonic admitted scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. " Look mom, dad, im sorry, I should have told you truth, but... I was afraid that, you wouldn't let me see him anymore.." there was a long pause.
" hahaha!" Aleena laughed softly before calming and looking deep into her son's eyes, " oh Sonic, son why would you ever think that? Your uncle is gay, and hes perfectly fine, I don't see why it wouldn't be the same, oh..." her happy tone soon fading as Her son glanced at Julez then back at the ground. and All she could do was look at her husband hopefully. All eyes resting upon him except for those of the only one who he wanted to look at him. instead the strange male stared down upon his son with a sympathetic look.
" Sonic, I don't care if youre gay as long as youre happy, but Shadow, please do stay for dinner, I would love~ to get to know you," a devious smirk spread across Julez lips and the tips of his fangs hung loose as his tongue slid across them.
Shadow looked just in time to catch the threat that was thrown at him. Sonic's "Father" gave him a bad vibe, and was more than intimidating, but the thing that bothered shadow was how he looked at him. The royal red collar around Aleena's neck and the matching metal bands that covered Julez wrists were obviously a sign of royalty, and it would explain why the King's royal guard dog had been sent after Sonic. Yet the way Julez had looked at him, in that very moment, was all but that of a royal, but something ripped off of a Farrell lion looking down upon a baby Gazelle with a limp. Yet shadow showed no fear. His ears slowly raised and his quills bristled as he met the king's eyes, an obvious challenge. Sonic watched the two with deep concern as his father continued to size shadow up. He had a bad feeling about how tonight would end, and he hoped it would be without blood shed. As far as the young prince knew Shadow was only human, but he was certain there was more to the black hedgehog especially after what he had just witnessed only hours ago. No. He knew there was more to shadow, he was a wizard no doubt, but even that prove hopeless to calm his nerves because even if magic coursed through his vanes he still had pure human blood, and that meant that he was still an easy target.
" Id be my pleasure," Shadow adverted his eyes to Sonic's mother gladly excepting. She smiled back at him cheerfully taking shadows hand in her own giving it a small shake. Yet his eyes were soon drawn to the fine piece of hedgehog that stood patiently waiting behind Aleena. Beautiful pink fur that fell perfectly over her sparkling red eyes, a small smile upon her cheeks. He had never spoken to her before yet he had seen her, and she reminded him so much of his own daughter. Yet her perfect innocent smile reminded him only of the good times. The times when she was still with him.
" Sonia is it?" He asked softly taking a step towards her.
" Yeah, its nice to finally get to meet you Shadow!" She explained cheerfully extending her hand for him to take which he did quite quickly shaking her hand before tuning back to Sonic.
" you have a lovely family Im glad I finally get to meet them, I just wish it had been under better circumstance," Shadow spoke formally, putting on his best act, determined to impress the high class family.
"Suneek?" All's attention turned to the stare case where a small green hedgehog stood rubbing his tired eyes. He was about 2 years old at the most with soft Red eyes and a small red collar around his neck, it was traditional that men wore the laces around their wrists but at such young ages it wasn't uncommon for a mother to tie it around her baby's neck.
" Aww, and who is this?" Shadow questioned softly.
" This is my baby brother Manic," the blue fur replied walking over to the stairs where his younger brother waited to be cradled in the others soft peach arms. Sonic picked the small green child into his arms before adjusting Manic on his side and stepped back towards shadow who approached them slowly and calmly hoping not to startle the small green mass of fur. Ruby eyes met glistening crimson orbs, a kind smile fixed on his muzzle that welcomed the child warmly. A big childish grin took Sonic's lips as his little bro' giggle happily reaching out to the older male. Shadow smiled back happily. he didn't particularly trust Julez, but the rest of Sonic's family seemed to take to him quite nicely.
" Is there anyone else you need to introduce me too?"
" Nope! this is all of us!" The young Prince replied cheerfully Looking deep into his lover's eyes.
{Normal Pov.} - One Hour Later
" So Shadow can I get you something to drink?" Sonia asked kindly stepping out of the kitchen.
" Yeah that would be nice," the striped boy replied, Sonic's eyes quickly widened as he bolted up from his seat " Ill do it!" the blur bursted into the Kitchen, knocking Sonia to the side.
" Sonic!" she yelled angrily before he pulled her around the corner in a panic.
" Sonia, Shadow doesn't know im a vampire," she gasped, her eyes widening in realization.
" We don't have anything for him to drink! Don't worry Sonic ill handle it! just distract him as long as you can! ill be back in a few minutes!" She assured, sonic nodded before reluctantly stepping back into the living room. " So Shadow what would you like to drink?" Sonia cleared her throat putting on her best " Good Girl" act.
" um what do have?" he answered trying his best to be polite.
Sonia panicked. She had completely forgotten what all the she drank as a child, as a mortal, and as she was only allowed to speak with inhuman beings and was home schooled by her mother, she had no idea what was trending! what drinks had gotten old, and what people had abandoned, so she blurted out the first things she could think of. " We have Water! Coke! Lemonade! Tea! whatever you'd!" ' Water! really!? everybody has water! idiot!' The pink teen thought to herself before her thoughts were quickly interrupted by the other.
" Some tea would be nice, please," He replied trying his best to be polite. Sonia snapped quickly back to attention taking one quick look into the kitchen before nervously bursting towards the door.
" We seem to be out im so sorry! maybe I should run to the store ill be back in a bit!"
" Its alright I can-*Sigh*" Before he could finish the door had been slammed shut abruptly and Sonia was gone. She acted just like Sonic, but Shadow somehow found it really cute. He loved his blue ball of rambunctious hyperness, but sometimes he wished Sonic could just calm down and think before he acted. Sonia was obviously a very smart girl, well behaved, and preserved, almost completely opposite of her older brother.
Shadow looked up at his younger counterpart who just kinda shrugged it off, " Sonia does things like that a lot, shes weird!" The younger prince plopped down on the couch beside his boyfriend lazily with a big goofy grin set upon his lips. Shadow looked over at him suspiciously.
" and what are you so happy about?" the darker one questioned, a slight grin pulling at the corner of his lips.
" Oh nothing~" Sonic cooed playfully Snuggling into his counterpart's side. Mischievous emerald looked up into lustful crimson eyes. as the two leaned forward meeting in a deep kiss. Strong ebony arms wrapped around azure's waist pulling him closer.
Sonic yelped as he was suddenly yanked into his lover's lap. Shadow leaned down catching peach lips in a passionate sloppy kiss. Shadow pulled the slender blue figure beneath him up towards him, and sonic adjusted his whole body onto the couch. their tongues dance to a lustful beat, battling for dominance.
"Eh-Hem!" Jules scoffed glaring at his son, "Not in my living room, And sonic get your nasty shoes off my couch!" He commanded having had enough of the two boys.
"Alriight Daddy~!" Sonic teased kicking his feet off the couch before removing his shoes and propping his bare feet back up on the blood colored sofa. The navy king gagged grabbing his nose at the putrid smell that emitted from his prince's feet. It was times like this when he thought that he could live without a heightened sense of smell. Snatching a news paper off the dark wooden coffee table, he rolled it up into a tight solid roll, and smacked Sonic's disgusting feet.
"Aww! What was that for!?"
"I said to get your feet off my couch!"
"You didn't have to hit me so hard!"
"You shouldn't have put your feet back up on the couch!"
Shadow smirked listening to the two bicker like little kids. 'Like father like son' was all that he could think. they acted so much a like and fought like siblings. lost in thought he almost didn't notice as Sonic abruptly propelled himself upwards and the hollow nut shell the called a head collided with Shadow's poor unprepared face.
"Ahh..." He winced, "Oh my god shadow im so sorry are you ok?" The younger male leaned back before sitting up to check on his beloved. A sweet aroma reached his nose and his eyes dilated as he sniffed the air. Suddenly he snapped himself back to reality at the realization of what was happening. Jules faced away from them holding his face, and all sounds from the kitchen had ceased. everything was silent except for shadows pained moans and the boiling of water. Crimson liquid seeped through Shadow's gloves and dripped down onto Sonic's leg.
Shadow looked around finally pulling himself to notice the uneasy silence. "Whats wrong?" Sonic panicked, fighting the urge to lunge at his ebony counter part he gulped looking down where the blood had dripped onto his leg. Shadow's eyes fallowed, "I'm sorry?" he sounded uneased, and very timid as he spoke almost as if asking for permission to apologize.
"Sonic why don't you show Shadow to the upstairs bathroom in your room" His mother's soft gentle voice came through from the kitchen, yet as gentle as it was, it wasn't a request it was a demand. Sonic picked himself off the couch,
"Yeah uh come on ill show you upstairs" his voice was strained and worried. He was fighting with his own inner instincts. Shadow soon fallowed him up the stairs and they turned into his lover's room. Sonic jumped, surprise, as the door was abruptly slammed shut, and Sonic spun around to face the ominous male.
"Uh Shadow?" his voice, timid, nervous, shaky. he was hiding something, and shadow was determined to figure it out no matter what it took.
