Sorry it's been so long since my last update, Thanksgiving and all that really doesn't help with my updating issue. Anyways, here's the next chapter, Leo vs. Evil.
Oh, and a response to a review from a guest, the reason that there is so much Emma and Danny in these chapters is because I'm just giving you their backstory so you understand how they think and why they're doing things that they're doing, I hope that helps you understand a little bit more.
We were all at school, just waiting around until class actually started, when Chase came up with one of the stupidest ideas ever. I don't mean to be rude, but I thought he was supposed to be the smart one? Anyways, his big idea was to arm wrestle Adam, I don't know what was going through his mind, because even if Adam didn't have super strength, Chase would still loose. Hey, I love the boy, but he's really gone in over his head on this one.
"Chase, there's no way you can beat Adam in arm wrestling, it's like a chicken wrestling an alligator, all we hear is cocka-doodle-crunch!" Leo said as we walked down the stairs and towards the bench where this whole arm wrestling fiasco was going to be held.
"He's right bro, you're spaghetti arms are no match for these meatballs." Adam said before kissing his biceps, that had to be the most disgusting thing I've ever seen, maybe because he compared them to one of my favorite foods of all time, or maybe because he was so obsessed with them he was treating them like they were two of his girlfriends. But I had to admit, Chase didn't really have spaghetti arms like Adam said. They've been wrapped around me for the last week and I had to say, they were far from limp noodles.
"When you're done kissing your girlfriends let's do this." Chase said, I just smirked at the weird coincidence and stood behind my boyfriend as the two got ready to arm wrestle, he was seriously making a big mistake doing this, but I had a feeling that he had a plan up his sleeve that I didn't know about.
"Better back up Leo, you're in the splatter zone." Bree said before going over to stand behind Adam, I just rolled my eyes and looked over at Leo, but it actually seemed like he believed her as he followed her example of backing up a few feet.
"Ok, I want a clean match, no whining, screaming, crying or tap outs." He said, but before they could say anything he looked over at Chase, "I'm looking at you Chase." He said, and I groaned before walking over to him and giving him a not so discreet thump on the head.
"Don't push it little bro." I said and he just smiled nervously before turning back to the boys. Who were looking more and more eager to get one with this by the second.
"3, 2, 1, Go!" Leo said while backing up, Chase just gave me a quick smirk before licking his hand and pinning Adam's in a heart beat. Despite losing Adam groaned in disgust and I laughed at the expression on his face.
"Hey, not fair, he licked his hand." He complained, Chase just laughed beside me and I smiled up at him, that was a pretty good plan, and besides, Leo said nothing about licking.
"Exactly, clever beats strong any day." He said with a goofy smile on his face. I just nodded my head and continued to laugh at the disgusted look on my big brothers face, it was seriously the funnies thing I had ever seen.
"Chase wins." Leo said before realizing what hand he was holding up, "Wait, which hand did you lick?" He asked.
"That one." Chase said, and the little man quickly switched the hand he was holding up and smiled a goofy smile as he repeated his little announcement. After he put his hand down I walked over to him and he smiled at me before wrapping one arm around my shoulders. "Do I get a prize for winning?" He asked, and I raised an eyebrow at him, did he seriously just go there?
"Yes he did Emma." Danny said with a smirk, stupid mind reading, completely not fair when it came to things like this.
"Whatever Danny, and you do get a prize." I said, and Chase's smile turned from cheesy to, what?
"Really?" He asked, and I giggled before giving him a peck on the lips, "Oh, now I get it." He said in that same dumb found expression that I loved so much.
"You're seriously adorable when you're all love struck like that." I said, and he smiled down at me before pulling me closer into a one armed hug. I was about to kiss him again when some kid came down the stairs and right over to us.
"Hey guys how's it going?" He asked, ok, was I missing something or did my "family" have other friends than just Danny and I? Wow, this world is really coming to and end isn't it? sarcasm included on that one.
"Oh, bundle up everyone, it just got eighty percent creepy with a one hundred percent chance of annoying." Leo said while walking a few steps forward, I just looked over at Chase and raised an eyebrow, who was this kid?
"Marcus, this is Emma and Danny, they're . . . . Our friends from out of town, they're parents just. . . died, and they're staying with us for the rest of the time." He said nervously, yah, it was kind of hard to introduce us without revealing that we were just found in a secret lab.
"It's nice to meet you guys, I've known Adam, Bree, and Chase for a few months now, I'm actually kind of happy that I'm not the new kid anymore." He said with a smile, but I couldn't help but feel that they're was something off about this guy. "So, do you want to hang out at my house after school, we just got a sick new flat screen." He said.
"Is it as sick as you make me, because that would be pretty sick." Leo said, what was with him, I understand that Marcus had something off about him, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person.
"We'd love to hang out today!" Chase said, and I nodded in agreement.
"Look, Chase is too blunt to say it, but you're a lunatic and we're leaving." He said before shoving the rest of us to go outside. I just rolled my eyes before slipping out of Chase's arms and standing my ground. I guess he didn't see me as I slipped away though, because as Marcus was following Leo and watching him heard the others out the door. I managed to get away from them without even them noticing.
"Nice try, see you later captain eyebrow." Leo said while turning to walk out the door. I was slightly behind one of the pillars though, so they really couldn't see me as I saw everything unfold. Suddenly Marcus raised his hand and the doors closed in front of Leo. I just stood there in shock, did Marcus really just close those doors with his mind? That couldn't be possible! Unless he was another bionic?
"Chase isn't the only one who can move things with his mind." Marcus said with an eyebrow raised, now I was realizing why Leo called him Captain Eyebrow before. It was really creepy.
"HELP!" Leo shouted, and I just froze in my spot, I could help, him but should I? Obviously Marcus knew about Adam, Bree and Chase, what was it if he knew about me too. "Somebody help me! I'm trapped!" He shouted, and I just fought the urge to go forward and help my step brother. "Principle Perry!" He said while running over to the principles office, "Who am I kidding, she's not here, it's 5 cent rib night at the Buffalo Barn." He said while finally realizing that she really wasn't here.
"It's just you and me Leo, man it's fun to mess with you when you can't tell anyone I'm bionic." Marcus said, and there it was, he really was bionic, but who created him, I'm pretty sure we would have known if my dad created him.
"Yah, it's a real party over here too." Leo said while glaring at the boy. "I should just turn you in." He said while walking my way.
"Go ahead, then I'll just expose Adam, Bree and Chase's bionics and have the government swoop them up." He said while coming over to Leo, I didn't move from my spot though, if they saw me I would just stand my ground.
"Not if I turn you in first." Leo said while walking away from him again. Marcus just used his molecular kinesis and threw a trash can over at Leo. that's it, I've had enough of this guy, no one tries to hurt my step brother.
"HEY!" I shouted before running over to Leo and helping him up to his feet, "Seriously, you're friends with this guy?" I asked, and Leo just shrugged before turning back to Marcus.
"Oh, you have you're little girlfriend protecting you." Marcus said, and I stared at him in disgust.
"Ew, I'm Chase's girlfriend, not Leo's." I said, and he just rolled his eyes at me before continuing his little rant.
"You should watch out girly, you don't know what you're getting into." He said, "And Leo, you better keep you're mouth shut, because next time, I won't miss." He said before walking out the door with a dramatic wave of his hands, jerk.
"Emma." Leo said, "You see what he's capable of, the others don't believe a word I say, but he's evil I tell you, evil!" He shouted in my face, I just sighed before nodding and opening the door to go outside.
"Hop on, I want to get away from that physco as quickly as possible." I said, and he nodded before hopping on my back, I just sighed before super speeding out of the building, I just had to be stubborn didn't I?
Chase's POV
We were sitting down in the lab, waiting for Mr. Davenport to explain exactly what the big arc in the middle of the lab was. Emma and Leo still hadn't come back from school, and I was actually sort of worried that Leo was ranting to her about how evil Marcus was, but I really shouldn't worry about that, Emma can definitely take care of herself.
"Behold the invention that will revolutionize travel, the Davenport Industries Teleporter!" He said over dramatically.
"Don't you mean the teledavenporter?" Adam asked, I just looked over at him with an eyebrow raised, what went through his every day really made me wonder sometimes.
"You don't want to know dude, you don't want to know." Danny said from the chair beside me, I completely forgot that he could read minds, man, Adam's brain must be like a waste land during classes and then a tornado whenever he has any sort of idea.
"Oh come on, I want to be the clever one around here for once." Adam said with a sigh
"And I want a convertible made out of diamonds, but that's not going to happen either." Bree said while glaring at him, she really did have the craziest dreams sometimes, and a diamond convertible only proves it.
"I can't wait any longer, please tell is about your amazing invention." Davenport said in a weird voice, "Don't mind if I do." He said before starting his lecture on what the heck this thing was. "My teleporter can transport anything anywhere, my teleporter deconstructs it molecule by molecule here and then, by my network of GPS satellites, reconstructs it anywhere on the planet instantaneously." He said while snapping his fingers.
"Wait does this mean we could go surfing in Hawaii after school, and still be home in time for dinner!?" I asked excitedly, I had always wanted to go to Hawaii, and going there with Emma wouldn't so bad either.
"Technically yes, but I haven't tested it on a human yet, so there's a small chance that only your forehead and parts of your esophagus would be home in time for dinner." He said, yikes, I take my comment back.
"All I'm hearing is more meatloaf for daddy." Adam said while patting his stomach, god, that boy could eat a cow if he wanted to.
"That's why I want to test it on an inanimate object first, so I'll be right back." He said before running off. Danny instantly put his feet up on the table and made a ball of fire in his hands before throwing it up in the air and catching it again.
"What?" He asked after noticing the looks we were giving him, "dad never lets me do this, scared I'll burn down the house, so I got to take this opportunity as a chance to play with some fire." He said with a shrug. I just shrugged before hopping off the table and going over to the teleporter.
"Whoa, this thing could get me anywhere on the planet in a nanosecond, faster than you Bree!" I said
"Whatever, you'll still be ugly when you get there." She said, and I sent a glare her way.
"If I'm ugly, then how did I get a girlfriend?" I asked with a smirk before turning back to the teleporter.
"I don't know, it must have been the fact that you two are the only super geniuses ever created, it was basically programmed inside your heads." She said, I just ignored her and continued to look at the machine. Adam put his hand on the table and a bright light came from the machine.
"Hey, Meatball, you just turned it on!" Bree said while shoving him out of the way. "Back off so I can shut it down." She said, and I rolled my eyes, like she could actually figure out how to turn this thing off.
"Step aside, I got this." I said.
"You got nothing, move over." She said, what was her problem? Adam said something about spinning a globe, but I chose to ignore him and continued to try to turn off the machine. Then I heard Tasha come into the lab, and just like that her voice was gone.
"You spun that thing so fast Adam that we have no clue where Tasha just got teleported to." I said
"Oh calm down, there's a simple solution to this!" Adam shouted, and we all turned to look at him, "Does anyone know what it is?" He asked, idiot.
"If what I think just happened, we are in so much trouble." Bree said nervously.
"Guys, I think we just vaporized Tasha." I said, and they all stared at me in shock, but Danny was still playing with his little ball of fire, "Danny, what's with you and that fire?" I asked, and he shrugged before making it disappear.
"I don't know, helps me calm down," He admitted.
"I didn't even get to say goodbye." Eddie said while popping up on the wall, "Oh well, woo hoo!" He said while shooting confetti everywhere. That computer had some serious problems.
Emma's POV
Leo and I were hiding in the bushes behind Marcus' house, Leo was saying random things into his phone while Marcus talked to his dad on the phone. I honestly wasn't paying attention to anything until Leo slapped me on the shoulder to get my attention. I looked over the way that he wanted me to and narrowed my eyebrows as I saw Marcus enter a passcode into the control panel that was attached to the inside of the grill lid. The wall on the side of the house morphed into a secret opening and Marcus walked inside. While Leo was freaking out over a morphing wall I grabbed the collar of his shirt and super sped us inside the secret doorway just before it closed on us.
"Come on, we need to find somewhere to hide." I said, and he just nodded before pulling me along the dark corridors and towards the main room of the underground lair, it had high tech gadgets everywhere, and something in the back that looked sort of like a capsule, and I had an idea of who that belonged to.
"Yes dad, it's going to be epic when I capture Adam, Bree and Chase." Marcus said while coming in, right after we hid behind a chair towards the exit to the lab, "Fine, when we capture them, just like when we forgot my birthday." He said, and I actually felt sort of bad for him, "Oh, are you angry, or are we angry?" He said while storming out of the lab, that kid had some serious issues.
Once he was gone we hopped up from our little hiding spot and Leo went off one way while I went over to the cat walk that was above our heads. I thought that maybe if there was stuff down low maybe there was something worth checking out above.
"Where are you?" I asked myself, I honestly couldn't find anything up here, and I was about to just give up and go back down when I heard Leo scream.
"MARCUS!" He shouted, and I froze in my spot as I saw Marcus in front of Leo, almost directly underneath where I was standing. "EMMA!" He shouted, and I didn't even take a second to think about it before I jumped over the side and landed on my feet down below. Marcus had Leo by the collar of his shirt and the evil look on his face said it all, he wasn't playing around right now.
"Emma, didn't expect to see you here, I told you not to mess with me, you don't know what you're getting into." He said, and I smirked before getting into a fighting stance, I wasn't going to let this idiot beat me. "You don't want to do that Emma." He said while coming closer to me.
"I think I do." I said, and he just smirked at me before letting go of Leo and super speeding towards me, but I was expecting it and super speeded to the corner of the room before he even had time to think about it, "You don't want to mess with me either." I said, and he just stared at me in shock before grabbing Leo again.
"You really shouldn't have come here, both of you." He growled, and I just glared at him before taking a few steps towards him and my step brother.
"I couldn't agree more, where's the exit?" Leo asked, and I smiled at him before going back to glaring at Marcus, he was so dead when I got to him
"Oh no, you two aren't going anywhere, you've seen too much, I might not be able to catch your little friend there, but if she's anything like the other little speed demon, she can't do any damage." He said, and I just got even angrier.
"What do you want with Adam, Bree and Chase?" Leo asked, completely ignoring the comment about me, which I actually appreciated.
"You won't be around to find out." Marcus threatened, and I about went over and punched him right then and there. "So, now say hello to our remote control home security system." He said before pointing a remote at a large vacuum cleaner type thing, but it didn't take me long to recognize it as one of those gigantic robot security guard things. Those things were basically ticking time bombs that move, they were that deadly.
"How big are your dust bunnies!" Leo shouted after seeing the vacuum cleaner grow into it's full form, a giant deadly, orange, robot that was full of weapons to hurt us in any way possible.
The robot first came after Leo, but when he was about to be crushed by it I super sped over to him and quickly got him out of the way.
"Leo, you distract it, I know how this thing is programed so I know what it can do, just stall it while I try to find a way to stop it." I said, and he nodded before running off. The robot first went after him but soon came after me and I smirked before super speeding behind him and turning completely invisible. Now at least I could spare some time to think about this.
"Go after the little one, I've got the girl." Marcus shouted before super speeding over to me, I wasn't really expecting it at first, so he collided right into me and we went tumbling to the floor. My shoulder hit the ground hard and I groaned as pain shot through my arm. Marcus grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me up so I was standing, but I wasn't giving up that easily.
I looked over at Leo to see him actually doing pretty well at avoiding the big hunk of junk, but I really didn't have time to think about that as I Marcus started dragging me towards the center of the room, I jabbed him in the stomach and when he let go to clutch his stomach in pain I ran for it. I super sped over to Leo right as he hid behind Marcus' capsule and he yelped when he saw me come beside him.
"Don't scare me like that!" I shouted, and I rolled my eyes before looking back at the robot, this thing was basically indestructible, how were we supposed to stop it?
"You're quicker than I thought, good thing I added this." Marcus said before pointing the remote at the robot, at cannon came out of it's shoulder and I yelped as a laser was shot my way, sparks went flying and I could feel a few of them touch my skin and burn me. I didn't have time to think about my burned clothes and skin though as the robot continued to shoot at us.
"Ah ha, I have a weapon now to." Leo said while holding up something that looked a lot like a stapler.
"That's a stapler." Marcus said, and Leo looked at it for a second before setting it down disappointedly, "Just kidding, it's a ray gun." Marcus said while pointing it off in a random direction and shooting a test shot.
"Are you an idiot, who makes a ray gun like that, the design is awful and the shape makes the laser shoot at a lower density, it's basic physics thrown away!" I shouted and Marcus just rolled his eyes at me before having the robot shoot another laser at us.
Eventually we were running out of steam, and by we, I mean Leo. I was trained to run for hours, so I was ready to go, but Leo was eventually capture by the giant security robot and I continued to run away from it until I had no choice but to give myself up, I couldn't leave Leo to suffer.
"Game over twerps, you two are no match for my awesome physical strength." He said, and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah right, you might have strength, but I have a higher IQ than you and you're five past lives have had combined." I said, and he continued to glare at me with that creepy eyebrow, "Oh quit with the eyebrow, it doesn't scare me." I said, and he rolled his eyes before gong back to gloating.
"Yah, I am no man of brute strength, but just remember, you didn't beat me, this thing did." Leo said while pointing at the robot.
"Please, I could pulverize you." Marcus said while becoming angrier, I could almost see his self confidence falling, aw, is the little evil freak getting angry?
"Yah, I'd like to see you try." Leo said with a smirk what was he thinking, he could seriously get hurt.
"Not smart Leo, the robot would have been quick and painless to what I'm going to do to you." He said.
"Ok tough guy, but if I win you have to let me. . . . us." He said after noticing my glare, "go, deal?" He asked, and I finally understood what he was going to do, Marcus agreed to our little challenge and let us both down, "Let's shake on it." Leo said, and Marcus actually seemed to fall for it. Because right before Leo shook his hand, Leo licked it just like Chase had did earlier today and shook Marcus' hand. Almost immediately Marcus shouted in disgust and Leo grabbed the remote before backing up a few feet
"EW! Why would you do that?" Marcus asked, and I actually felt bad that seemed really gross.
"Because I'm clever, and clever beats strong any day." Leo said, I gave him a smile before watching him completely fail at trying to control the robot. "But the clever would really like to take a look at this things owner manual." He said, and I sighed before taking it from him and pointing it at Marcus.
Lasers shot out of the cannons on the robots shoulders and Marcus dodged each one of them before getting annoyed by it and shooting his own green laser at it. The robot wriggled and jolted before falling to the ground, way to go eyebrow, you just destroyed your own robot.
"Oh man, that was my dad's favorite toy!: He said angrily, "There goes pizza night." He said, and I have to admit, I was felt bad for Marcus once again, nobody deserved a dad that treated him like that. But I smirked at the pout on Marcus' face anyways before walking over to Leo and putting one hand on his shoulder. "
"You did good Leo." I whispered, and he smiled up at me.
"Thanks Emma." He said, and I nodded before super speeding us out of there. I was just happy to be away from that freak.
We got into the house only a few seconds later, Leo and I went running down to the lab, me jogging because Leo was pretty slow, and got down to the lab as quickly as possible, I had to admit, I really wanted these guys to see what I had gone through in the last hour.
"WE'RE BACK!" We shouted.
"Right here, on my phone, I have undeniable proof that Marcus is evi-" Leo said, but stopped when he tripped and his phone went through the teleporter that my dad had been working on, oh no. "Where'd my phone just go?" He asked.
"Um, Honolulu, but we'll be able to bring it back right here." He said, and in a flash of light, a scrapped up version of Leo's phone appeared in front of us, Leo looked at it in shock and I did a face palm before falling to my knees.
"SO CLOSE!" I screamed, and they all looked at me with confused looks on their faces.
"You believe in that Marcus is evil thing too?" Bree asked, and I super sped over to Bree, getting right in her face, before letting it all out.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" I shouted before turning to face them all, "I witnessed him send a robot after us, tackle me to the ground, almost break my neck, and almost get stuck in his underground lair for all of eternity." I said, and everyone by my brother started laughing at me.
"Emma, you're not joking are you?" He whispered, and I nodded my head before taking a step back and leaning against the cyber desk, I was seriously freaking out right now. "Hey, I believe you, I can see what you saw right now, I can see what Leo saw right now, I believe you." He whispered again, and I smiled at him before hoisting myself up to sit beside Chase.
"Hey, are you ok?" He asked, and I just looked at him for a second, I really couldn't blame them for not believing us, it wasn't there fault that they weren't there.
"Yah, I guess I just had a rough day." I said, and he just smiled at me before wrapping one arm around my shoulders and kissing the top of my head. I just smiled one more time before leaning into his hug and allowing everything to go back to normal for now. "Thanks Chase." I whispered, and he smiled at me before pulling me closer to him. At least I was safe for the time being, I mean, I wasn't dead right now, was I?
Marcus' POV
"I know I messed up, but I can fix this." I begged, but my dad beat me to it, I was still confused at what just happened back there, how could there be another bionic? That just didn't make any sense.
"No, you let them get too close, I don't know who that girl was, but I have a feeling that she's important to Donald." Dad said before standing up, "It's time to take matters into my own hands, I hope they enjoy their night together, it's going to be their last." He said with that same evil look on his face that he always gets when he talks about his evil plans. I just couldn't help but wonder though, who the heck was that Emma girl, and what did she have to do with the Davenports?
