Melissa and I were in the barn a couple weeks later; we hadn't left the bed so far at all. Melissa exams had gone well and I was really proud of her, she would get her results back soon and could decide what classes she need to be taking and need to drop. Hanna was starting to show a lot, but no one had questioned her about it which I was happy about; but I knew it was coming. I was holding her against me and we were just enjoying the silence and each other's presents.
Melissa asked "What are your plans now that your back?"
I replied with "I don't know."
Melissa said "Shouldn't you know."
"I don't know, I just haven't really thought about anything else other than spending time with my fiancée and getting married to her."
"And I love that planned don't get me wrong, but what happens next?"
"I don't know."
"What do you want to be?"
"Your wife."
Melissa smiled and said "I want that too but what job do you want?"
"I don't know, most people don't hire someone who hasn't any skills."
"You have skills Emily and with the army on your resume people would stupid not to hire you."
"I don't know. When I was out there and I would think about what I'd do when I came home, were to spend time with you, the girls and the boys."
"And that's great but isn't there something you wanted to be doing."
"I'm doing exactly what I want to do," I kissed the side of her face.
"Do you want come to Hollis and study things there?"
"I'd love to come to Hollis but I'd be just because I wanted to see you, which Hollis isn't about."
Melissa said "Okay, so a job then."
I replied with "While I was thinking that when Hanna gets too pregnant to do her job, I'd take over until she better."
"So working at a flower shop, don't you want another job."
"Not really, I know everything there is to know about the business and it's not like money is an issue."
"Okay, what does our future look like too you?"
"I don't know, you and I married. You doing something you love and are good at me, and me raising the kids."
"So you wanted kids."
"Well yeah, don't you?"
"No, I want kids. How many do you want?"
"Two, being an only child sucks."
"Well having a sibling isn't exactly the greatest."
"Yeah but you get to have a bond that no one else has, I never had that and I see yours and Spencer and I wish I had that."
"Okay so two kids, where do you see us living?"
"Well I don't see anything wrong with living in rosewood, do you?"
"No, I like the idea of living close to my parents."
"Me too and I don't want to leave my parent."
"So will live in Rosewood with our two kids, where in Rosewood are we living?"
"I don't know but we can work that out after the wedding."
"That we can, back to the kids, who's having them?"
"Well I was kind of hoping you would, I've seen what Hanna is going through and I think I am way better at being on the sidelines than in the field."
"Well your lucky I wanted to give birth."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I just want to experience it."
"Well I'll help you thought it all."
"You better, I take it were getting a sperm donor."
"Yeah."
"Okay, what are the plans for today?"
"I have absolutely nothing planned for today, what about you?"
"I have some homework I need to do."
"Right, anything I can help you with?"
"Have you ever read the book 'Great Gatsby."
"I'm going to go find something to eat."
Melissa said "That's what I thought but thanks anyway."
I replied with "No problems, I'll leave you too it."
"Thanks, can I have a kiss?"
I smiled and asked back "Would I ever deprive you of a kiss from me?"
"I'd hope not," I smiled at her before she rolled over onto her stomach and we start to have a heated make-out session.
"Okay, now I should go," I broke out of the kiss. Melissa nodded her head, she leant forward and I stood up from lying behind her. Walking into the closet, I grabbed a black short sleeved shirt to over the t-shirt I was already wearing and once I had it on, I went to leave the barn.
I got the door and Melissa said "Emily."
Turning back, I say "Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too Mrs Fields," I smiled at her before pushing the door back and leaving the barn. Walking inside of the house to find no one in the kitchen, I walked into the room more and went over to the freezer to see if there was any ice-cream to eat. Opening the freezer door, I smiled when I saw a container of chocolate ice-cream, grabbing the container that felt really light. Taking the lid off I saw that there was only enough left for one bowl and just grabbed a spoon to eat out of the container.
I was eating my ice-cream I piece, well I was until I heard the door open and slam before it open again and was closed quieter this time.
I then heard Aria's voice shout "Why won't you consider it."
Spencer replied with "It's not that Aria."
"What you want to stay here for the rest of your life?"
"No and you know that not it," walking with my ice-cream into the lounge room to find them both glaring at each other.
I asked "What's going on?"
Spencer replied with "Sorry, didn't realise you were in here, where's Melissa?"
"Out in the barn studying, what's wrong?"
Aria snapped "She doesn't want to move in with me."
Spencer replied with "That is not true, I want to just not there."
"Okay, I'm going to need a little more information."
Spencer said "As you know Aria and I want to live together and we've been going leaving here and at her place each week."
"Yeah."
Aria went on with "I found an apartment for us to live in."
"That's great."
Aria added on "It is but she doesn't want to live with me," I looked up at Spencer like she was crazy.
Spencer said "That's not it at all, it's in the same apartment building as her ex's living in."
"And he means nothing to me; you are the person I want to be with not him."
"I just don't want to see him every day, he might think he can steal you from me."
"That's not going to happen Spencer, I love you, I am in love with you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you and nothing he could say or do would ever make me wanted to go back with."
I asked "What if he kidnapped Spencer and the only way to keep her alive was to date him, would you go back to him then?"
They both gave me this look like I was crazy, I said "What you said there was nothing he could do for you take him back but love is a crazy, crazy game."
"More like you're crazy," Spencer said and Aria nodded her head.
"Fine, I won't help you, even though I have the solution to your problem," I shrugged my shoulders and head back into the kitchen.
I counted down in my head 3, 2, 1 and it came from both of them saying "Emily, wait we're sorry."
I smiled and replied with "I knew you'd break."
Spencer said "Whatever, what's the solution?"
I responded with "Across the street."
Aria asked "Steve and Toby place?"
"Yep."
Spencer asked "How is that a solution? They don't have any room left."
"Wrong they do, they have one room left that I asked them not to use."
"Ali's old room," Spencer said.
"Yeah, I can't really have a problem with you two using it, I mean you've slept in there before and it also feels right."
Aria said "Okay but they wouldn't let us stay there."
"How do you know? Have you asked them?"
"No," Aria replied with.
Spencer said "It would never work, two girls and two guys."
I replied with "If I can share a very, very small tent with ten guys, who haven't showered and shaved in two weeks, you can live across the street with them."
They both gave me this shocked and disgusted look, Spencer asked "Why did you do that?"
"It was part of training, in case we got ambushed and one person grabbed a tent but the rest of us didn't, it wasn't as gross as it sounds."
Aria asked "Really?"
"No it was worst," I smiled at the two of them.
I say "Anyway, Aria you might want nothing to do with Ezra but moving into the some apartment with him, yes it's with your girlfriend of five years now but it still would send a flag up in his brain and I'm with Spencer I wouldn't move into the some apartment building as any of Melissa's exes."
Aria replied with "Okay, I see your point."
Spencer asked "Why wouldn't you do it, when you and Melissa are practically married already?"
"I'd be scared I'd say something stupid and be put on Melissa's bad side, which I haven't seen yet; I plan to keep it that way."
I add on "Anyway back to this issue at hand, just go across the street and ask them. The worst that could happen is they say no and your back to square one, it's better than not asking and fighting each other."
Spencer replied with "Okay thanks Emily, we'll go see them now."
I smiled and said "Happy to help."
Aria asked "Spence, can you give me a minute with Aria?"
"Sure thing," Spencer kissed Aria cheek before leaving the room to go wait outside was my guess.
I asked "What's up?"
"It's Mike."
"What about Mike?"
"He has been acting different, not like his normal self and I'm worried."
"Do you want me to go have a word with him?"
"Yeah if you can, I've tried, Dads tired, Mums tired but nothing and I was just thinking your good at talking to people."
"I'm not really that good Emily."
"Yeah, you might not think you aren't but you are Emily, I've seen the way you are with people and you're amazing," I just shrugged my shoulders.
I asked "When is the best time to see him?"
"Anytime."
I nodded my head and said "Consider it done."
"Thanks Emily," I smiled at her.
"No problem," she smiled at me before leaving to go find Spencer. All I wanted was some ice-cream, now I've help someone and got someone else to help, how did that happen? I started to think about what Aria said about me being good at talking to people, I didn't understand how, what or why people saw that in me, when I can't see it at all. I like helping people in any way I can but I wouldn't say I'm good at it, I just say what others are supposed to say and quote things I've heard in music or seen in movies. I just didn't see it like other did.
I was sitting in the lounge room watching TV when I heard the door open, looking up I saw a very happy Spencer and Aria.
I say "I take it went well?" They both looked over at me before running over to me and hugging me really tightly.
Smiling I say "I take that as a yes."
Spencer replied with "They said if you were fine with us using the room then we could move in whenever."
I nodded and asked "What took you so long to come back over here, to tell me?"
Aria replied with "We were going over the house rules, yes they were need."
I smiled and said "Yeah you don't need to tell me that."
They both smiled and I asked "When are you moving in?"
"As soon as possible," Aria replied with.
"Well I'm free to help pack and move boxes if you need it."
"Thank Em, we will definitely remember that," Spencer said and I smiled nodding my head
I asked "Have you told your parents?"
"No," they both said at the same time and looked sad.
"You might want to do that," they both nodded their heads and went into thinking how to break the news to them.
I then asked "Do you guys have any break coming up, at school?"
Spencer thought before replying with "I think it's another month, why?"
"Well Melissa and I are going to start planning for the wedding soon and from every movie I've seen to do with planning wedding they can get ugly, and before that happens I thought her and I could take a trip somewhere."
"A'ww that's sweet," Aria said smiling at me.
I said "That's why I thought, I just didn't want to while she was in school and needing to focus on that."
Spencer nodded and said "Understandable, do you know where you're taking her?"
"No but until I do, not a word to her right?" I gave them both my glare which they nodded their head for a reply.
I suggested "Why don't you go start pack and come up with ideas how to tell your parents?"
"Good idea, thanks," Aria said before dragging Spencer up the stairs, I smiled at them too and laughed at the thought of Steve and Spencer having wars over the bathroom in the morning.
Hearing a few minute later, the backdoor in the kitchen open, I looked back to wait and see who it was, I smiled when I saw Melissa walk in.
I say "Hey baby," Melissa smiled and walked over to her. I grab her arm and pull her down to sit on top of my legs; I wrap my arms around her and hold her tightly.
Melissa said "Hi," she then pecks my lips.
I asked "Have you finished your work?"
"Yep."
I smiled and said "I'm proud of you," I watch as a blush creeps up onto her cheek.
Melissa asked "Proud of what?"
"Well you have this incredible hot fiancée you could be spending all your free time with but you said no and that you need to do homework, where most people wouldn't care and I'm proud of you for that."
Melissa laughed and said "Just when I thought your head was big enough and couldn't possibly get any bigger, it just suddenly grows."
"Thank-you," we smile at each other before Melissa leans forward and kisses my lips.
I then say "Your sister is growing up."
"What do you mean?"
"Her and Aria are moving across the street."
"Really?"
I nod my head and Melissa said "They can't do that, she's not old enough to do that."
"What? That makes no sense," I was trying to see what problem Melissa was seeing but I couldn't see it.
"They can't move in with Steve and Toby, they won't survive and they are to young."
"Okay, I don't know about the surviving part but they are definitely old enough to move in the house across the street from your parents' house."
"No they are not," Melissa gets off my lap and starts heading upstairs. Sighing I run up after her, I get to her just before she about to burger into her sisters room and led her towards our old room.
"Emily, why did you stop me?"
"Well you don't know what's happening behind that door, if you get what I mean."
"Gross Emily," she slaps my shoulder but smiles.
"Well it's true but anyway, what is this actually about?"
"They are too young to move in together."
"If I and old enough to travel to a country that have bomb exposition more than any other counter, then they are old enough to move across the street from your parents."
"Fine, I'm going to miss seeing my sister," she sat down on the bed in the room and I walked over to sit next to her.
"She not moving that far and I can bet you know she'll be here a lot more then you think she'll be."
"I know that, it's just she's be at the breakfast table every morning, there for dinner as well and I'm just not ready to let her go."
"But you're not letting her go really, she just moving across the road."
"What if something bad happens to her?"
"Then she'll have her big sister to beat up the cause of it, her big sister to be there for a shoulder to cry on and when her sister makes her cry more; her best friend will be standing in the wings to help," Melissa smiled and wiped away the tears that had started to full, before slapping my shoulder.
"Thank-you Emily."
"It's what I'm here for," Melissa smiled at me and then pecked me on the cheek.
"Now let's go back downstairs and wait for them to tell you."
"Okay."
"I love you Melissa and I'll never leave you."
"I love you too Emily," I smiled at her before standing off the bed and leading her downstairs to watch more TV in the lounge room.
