Chapter 9: Thieves
A/N: here's a bit of a surprise! An update to The Harmonic Chaos Remake! Cue dramatic music! XD anyhoo lets get on with it shell we?
The sun raises in Equestria marking the start of another day for the many ponies of the land. As for Rarity she was at work on a new dress when Sapphire Shores walks in.
"Oh dear Rarity!" she says
"Oh! Sapphire!" Rarity gasps "Whatever can I do for you"
"I need you to make me something." she says
"Anything whatever you need!" Rarity replies
"I want a dress line that has the color of the seven gems used by that one pony when he saved Equestria one color per dress" Sapphire replies "On a white dress,"
"Oh you mean Burning Rage's Chaos Emeralds?" Rarity replies "Erm... well there might be a small issue... you see...those Emeralds are..."
"Oh and I will pay you 6000 bits each." Sapphire says
"Alright I'll try..." Rarity sighs
"Wonderful I will be looking forward to it!" Sapphire says leaving the shop
"Oh Rage is going to kill me..." Rarity whines
Meanwhile on Angel Island Rage was sitting in his small home working on some reports for Celestia when Rarity walks in
"Uh...hi...Rage..." she says shyly
"What is it Rarity?" Rage asks not looking up from his work,
"I...uh...kind of need to borrow you and your Chaos Emeralds for something..." she says
"what?" Rage asks writing something on the paper
"Well you see Sapphire Shore wanted me to makes some dresses for her based off of the Emeralds and I needed them for reference." Rarity says
"Alright." Rage says closing his book and putting the quill down "But I will be with you"
"Very well can you help dig?" Rarity asks
"Sure," Rage shrugs closing the door behind them
Later in the Gem Fields Rage had the Chaos Emeralds in the bottom of a small wagon he of course was dragging it while Rarity was using her spell to find where gems were buried "Here's one!" she says and Rage goes over to dig it up and put it in the wagon. With them thrown in the back Rage hands Rarity the Chaos Emeralds "Don't lose them." he says as they continue on not aware of their stalkers
"She's here" one of them says "And that dragon is gone too only another pony."
"And those gems look mighty interesting... she's coming back you guys got the plugs?" another laughs and they all nod "Good..."
"Rarity how many do you need?" Rage asks
"One of each color." she says as her horn glows brightly "Ooo I found a big one!" she says as she follows it to a gem laying under some trees
"Rarity I don't like this I think it's a trap..." Rage says
"Nonsense!" Rarity laughs as they walk up and one of the Diamond Dogs hits Rage in the back of the head with a large branch knocking him clean out which made Rarity turn around and there were the others
"Hello again miss gem hunter." they smiles
"Oh no..." Rairty gasps as they grab her "HELP ME!" she screeches as she is dragged down a hole gems and all...
"Wake up..." Rage heard a faint voice "Come on Rage you've got to wake up." it was Twilight! Slowly he opens his eyes to see all of his friends
"Wh-what happened?" he asks
"We don't know Birdy here told me that she found you passed out on the ground out here so we grabbed our friends and ran to help you." Fluttershy says
"What is the last thing you remember?" Twilight asks
"I was helping Rarity get some gems based off of the Chaos Emeralds to make some dresses for Sapphire Shore I remember her finding a large green gem and then a dog appearing for a second before smacking me out cold... they got away with her and the gems didn't they?" Rage asks and the others nod
"Well we need to get them back... Without the Chaos Emeralds Equestira is left without a defense and I will be weekend before long." Rage says looking at the holes "come on!" he says jumping in one as the others follow
"Well Rage which way?" Twilight asks
"I dunno this far underground my ability to detect The Chaos Emeralds isn't working we are walking blind." Rage replies
"Or we follow the group of guard dogs to them" Rainbow Dash says pointing out a group of about 3 guard dogs.
"good thinking." Twilight says "Let's go." the others then follow the dogs through the cavers being careful not to be seen
Meanwhile with Rarity she was stuck digging up gems while the three Diamond Dogs were looking at The Chaos Emeralds Rarity was whining but to no prevail as the dogs had earplugs on making it impossible for them to hear her so she gave up.
"These were not a bad find..these gems are special!" one says
"Yeah yeah!" the other two agree
"And they are mine!" Rage yells from the entrance to the tunnel
"Uh-oh boss it's the pony from before." the larger one says
"Get them!" the tall skinny one yells
"A fight huh?" Rage snickers "Very well!" he then avoids most of the guard dogs and hits the others with quick moves before long they had none left. "Give me the Chaos Emerads and all the gems here you've dug up or else..." Rage says with fire burning in his eyes "And release Rarity."
"Wh-whatever you say!" they agree and before long the seven were top side with all of the gems Rarity needed
"I am sorry about all of this Rage." she admits
"It's not your fault those dogs were sneaky and got the jump on us all that matters is you and The Chaos Emeralds are safe." Rage replies
"Yeah..." Rarity agrees
