Sorry guys, I can't find the three caballeros at the moment, and I've never watched that movie before so...help? Anyway I will be reviewing a special movie about the king of the apes...Tarzan!
Now I love Tarzan as a kid and watching it again made me realize how much I love this movie. I'll say it fits second to Peter Pan.
So what's the story?
It all starts on a burning ship...OK so this movie is going well so far. And we see a couple escaping the ship on a lifeboat with their infant son, and they reach a island. The couple builds a tree house out of wood and other stuff and decides to live on the island.
OK one, why aren't you calling for help? Or looking for a way back to your home? Second, how the fuck do you build a tree house without any tools? You still had the fucking life boat! So I know you didn't tear that apart. Third, why isn't the baby wearing any clothes besides his diapers? And fourth how the fuck do you change him? He stills has the diaper, babies poop and pee a lot guys.
Oh yes a song is playing in the first minute, I'll get to that later. and we also see a family of apes. Doing their ape thing. Whatever.
OK this is getting boring so long story short a baby ape of a mother ape dies and so does the couple who decided to live here, got that? Good.
Well Kala the mother ape rescued the baby human from sabor the leopard and wanted to raise him as her own, which we also meet Kerchak the adopted father of the baby and their niece named Terk , and Kala gives the baby the name Tarzan.
I'm guessing a couple years passes by and Tarzan is still a kid and is learning the ways of an ape with a neglectful father and a caring mother. Yeah so Kerchak isn't so happy with another kid because Tarzan is human and not ape.
We see Tarzan trying to play with the other apes but is always getting in trouble with the other mothers and Kerchak. Luckily Terk is there with him but then her friends dared Tarzan to grab an elephant hair. Tarzan does so while almost getting himself killed and we meet our third posse' member Tantor the scared elephant.
Tarzan then feels that he is too different to be a ape, even Kerchak tell him that. So Tarzan... covers himself with mud. Eh could be part elephant. Anyway Kala finds him and explains to him that we are all the same even if we do act, talk, and look different. That's a really good moral for kids, but did the writers realized that apes are the closest things to human that we got? I mean we can speak to them with sign language!
That leads to our third song, 'son of man' where we see Tarzan growing up...I guess, and learning to be a better ape, a really good one.
See kids hard work pays off.
wow we get two montage songs to pass the time and one of them literally show us how Tarzan grew from son to man...anyone gets that? No one gets that?...no one understands my jokes. :(
OK so after a failed attempt at scaring his mother and a really rough wrestling match with Terk , and some lovable lines from Tantor, the leopard Sabor finally shows up again... and is killed by Tarzan. Tarzan and the apes then hear a gun shot in the distance and Tarzan goes to check it out thus we met Jane Porter, her father, and Mr. Clayton.
These three are here from England on a search to find and study Gorillas and while Jane draws a picture of a baby monkey she gets into trouble with a bunch of other monkeys and they chase her which she is saved by Tarzan. I'm not even going to talk about the funny conversation Jane and Tarzan had afterwards or what happened when Jane went back to camp to tell her father of her findings, it's just too funny. I won't even discuss the funny scene called trashin' the camp. search it up on youtube if you'd like though.
Ok keeping in mind there's about 10 minutes of funny which I'm not going to be a dick to ruin it. Jane tells Clayton and her father about Tarzan and Jane explains that if they are going to study Gorillas then they need Tarzan to speak to them and get him to take them to the Gorillas. When Tarzan himself wants to know about them since even his own mother didn't tell him. So they teach Tarzan about the way of the human and Tarzan teaches them about the wildlife they're in.
Although Tarzan learned a lot of the human culture and even learns how to speak English he still won't take Jane to see the Gorillas because of the promise he made to Kerchak of protecting the family. And to make matters worse the ship Jane went on is back and they have to go on it. Jane wants to take Tarzan with her but that would mean he would have to leave his family for a very very long time...
I'm going to stop there and there's good reason, this is a really good movie. And the best parts come right after Tarzan learns about humans and the boat to England is here.
Now characters!
Tarzan: Played by Tony Goldwyn. Tarzan ...is Tarzan nothing else needs to be said am I right Ladies?
Terk: Played by Rosie O'donnell, Terk is the awesome best friend of Tarzan.

Kala: Played by Glenn Close...*cough* Guardians of the Galaxy *cough* Yeah she's the mother of Tarzan here.
Kerchak: Played by Lance Henriksen and he's the deceased leader of Tarzan's family.
Jane: Played by Minnie Driver Jane is the love interest for Tarzan and a really good one at that.
Professor Archimedies Q. Porter: Played by Nigel Hawthorne and he is the bubbling father of Jane Porter
Clayton: Played by Brian Blessed ...and he is the Villain! Didn't see that did you? hehehehehehehe
Ok songs:
Two worlds
You'll be in my heart
Son of man
Strangers like me
Trashin' the camp
Is that it? Wow!
Now before I go to the facts I do want to talk about these songs and that's because of a man named Phill Collins.
Now besides Trashin' the camp Phill sings all of the songs in this movie, and some people despise that of the movie mainly Nostalgia Critic.
Sure this movie would be better off without the songs and besides Trashin' the camp it would be really weird for the characters to be singing.
Some people find Phill annoying for singing what is going on and saying that it is not needed because the visuals will do that work, and I agree.
But I do like the songs and the thoughts the characters must be feeling while Phill is singing them I didn't find him a bad singer and I love the songs but I think the songs do well on it's own.
Now on to Facts!:
1. Mrs. Potts and Chip makes a cameo in this movie
2. Terkina is Terk's full name
3. It's a Baboon not a monkey that took Jane's picture when she met Tarzan
4. This came out on the year of my birthday!
5. There is two squeals and a tv series of Tarzan... Whaaaa?
6. There is a musical... cool!
Now let's talk about the Bad of this movie... there's not really much. what I dislike about this movie is...I got nothing. I do not dislike any part of this movie.
Ok let's talk about the good... and I got nothing. Wow this maybe one of those movies where I don't know what to say about it. I can only say what I believe is true...actually Yeah let's do that!
So like I said I'm not a hater on Phill Collins and his role in the movie I just believe that the songs he sung did so well that it stands out on it's own even if you never did watch the movie.
And I'm mot a complainer on the whole animals can talk thing because I know a lot of people is. This works because well at the time Tarzan was living there he learned their language and when we are watching the animals talk it's like we are Tarzan and actually talking in their language. It's like if you were born an American but you were raised in say France. You would most likely speak French even though you were born as an American you would still speak the language you were introduced to as a small child or in this case an infant. Now a days people with mixed families would speak naturally in maybe two or three languages if their parents teaches them at a young age as an infant. Again going back to Tarzan being raised by apes. Jane is however not raised by apes.
Speaking about Jane there are people who hate what she is. And that she is a damsel in distress who always needs to be saved by Tarzan. That is needed here because as Nostalgia Critic says One: she is a lady of the time where they did very lady things and not like today's women. Two: she is out of her environment she has never ventured out into the wild so she doesn't know what to do. THIS IS A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS DONE RIGHT! She is at the right place at the right time to be this person.
there are some other things like the theory of Frozen and this movie being tied together and that I hate to the bottom of my bones but I'll get to that when I do my Frozen review.
And there is another theory involving Beauty and the Beast but I'll get to that when I do.
Overall I love this movie Tarzan as a person is one of my top five Disney men And the reason why I barely said anything about the movie itself is because it is that good .Everything else you might add like the little jokes, the art I love those too.
So that's all I have to say and I'll see you in the next review!
