Meeting The Avengers And The Beginning Of The Battle - Chapter 10
Jack Pov
I stared at him before wearily shaking his hand before pulling away, he smiled at me before a man with black hair and brown eyes stood in front of me with a confident smirk on his face with his hand out like Steve did.
"I'm Tony Stark and it's nice to meet the Spirit of Winter in person." I shook it like I shook Steve's and then pulled back, Pitch put a comforting hand on my shoulder as the others noticed him. They looked at him for a bit as if they were wondering who he was until Jimmy broke the silence.
"This is Jack, as you know, the Spirit of Winter and his adoptive father, so you don't get any ideas, is Pitch Black the Nightmare King or the Boogie Man."
Steve seemed to tense up a little as if he was uncertain he should trust Pitch to attack them or not, that is until Pitch talked.
"I know what you're thinking but I will not attack you unless you attack me or my son like those pesky Guardians did, guardians of children, sure."
I frowned when I heard their title, I was practically I child. A girl with short orange hair walked up to me and shook my hand as I shook hers back, she smiled at me before she started to speak.
"Strong grip." I cocked my head to the side in confusion as she smirked at me and walked back as a man with arrows on his back and blond hair walked up to me.
"She says that to some people, it means she thinks you're pretty strong, I'm Clint and that's Natasha." We shook hands as I blushed slightly.
"Well I had two pretty good teachers, Jimmy taught me half of my fighting style and taught me Japanese while Lo-." Jimmy slapped a hand over my mouth, he gave me a look before putting a finger over his mouth. The Avengers looked suspicious, Jimmy sighed before pulling out a camera I knew so well. I glared at him.
"You wouldn't."
Jimmy smirked at me, "I so would, and I'll do it now unless you keep quiet about that one person." I glared at him before nodding, Tony raised an eyebrow at us.
"What's on the camera?"
I glared at Jimmy as he smirked at me, he looked at Tony deviously.
"This Camera, Tony, contains Jack moments, for example: Jack singing, playing karaoke, playing instruments and Jack attempting to run from Pitch when they are playing."
I tried to tackle Jimmy but he jumped out of the way, I started to chase after him while yelling and I didn't even realise we had entered the building.
"GET BACK HERE!"
Pitch Pov
I watched him run after Jimmy until they were out of sight, I looked back at the Avengers and they stared back before Steve walked up to me like he did Jack and held out his hand to shake. I shook his hand as he started talking.
"It is nice to meet you Pitch, I hope you have a pleasant visit." He smiled at me and I nodded back before I noticed that they were all tense, they would find out one way or another.
"Yes, I am the Boogie Man and no, I do not give adults Nightmares. Only the people who believe in me which are mostly children, and I do not do that anymore so you cannot blame me if your children have Nightmares, if you have children that is." They stared at me for a while before I nodded at them and started to speak once more. "I hope you do not mind but I would like to share a room with Jack until I can trust you because I just met you, it doesn't matter that you are super heroes, sometimes super heroes can be mean and bad people like those Guardians who were Bullying Jack."
Steve raised an eye brow before speaking, "Who are these Guardians?"
I rolled my eyes slightly, "They are child hood myths, Santa: the protector of Wounder, the Tooth Fairy: the protector of Memories, Sandman: the protector of dreams and the blasted Easter Bunny: the protector of hope. They call themselves the Guardians of Childhood and even though Jack is turning 2015 years old, doesn't mean he isn't a child. He died as a child, forever a child."
"WHAT!" I looked over and saw that it was Tony that said that, I looked at him before realising what he meant.
"You didn't realise that spirits were originally people like you guys?" they shook their heads and I sighed before deciding to explain. "Each spirit became a spirit for a reason, Jack was the Guardian of Fun before he quit being a Guardian, he died by getting his sister off the thin ice in the middle of a lake. He fell in and the moon and Mother Nature brought him to be the Spirit of Winter." They nodded their heads in understanding, "Jack wasn't very well liked when he started out as a spirit, he had no memory because the Moon didn't allow him too because he needed him to do something before he got them, he did the something and slowly gains all his 14 years of memories."
"Fourteen years?" I looked at Steve as he said that, I nodded sadly.
"I know, it's pretty young but he doesn't really mind because he has a new family now."
Tony was looking thoughtful before speaking, "What do you mean Jack had to do something?"
I rolled my eyes and decided to answer, Jimmy had really told them nothing about us. "I use to be evil and tried to kill the Guardians, including Jack at the time." They looked at me in shock, I sighed softly. They got worked up a lot, guess it's because I'm the Boogie Man. "Don't worry, I have retired from being evil. I occasionally send a couple of Nightmares out because I need to do it to survive."
They calmed down but were still slightly tense so I decided to change the subject.
"So about me and Jack sharing a room until we get to know you better?" Tony walked up and started to tell me about the room me and Jack would be staying in.
"You guys can stay on the same floor as Jimmy, so that you guys aren't alone on the floor or stay uncomfortably on the same floor as one of us other than Natasha."
I nodded before I heard Jack and Jimmy coming back this way, I looked towards the tower entrance, as did the others, as Jimmy came running out and Jack, a few steps behind. This had gone on long enough, as they ran past me, I grabbed Jack by the back of the hood and pulled him back.
"Dad!" I smiled slightly and pulled him to my chest, he sighed in annoyance before struggling in my arms.
I then noticed Jimmy recording this so I made sure Jack couldn't see the camera but the camera could see him, Jimmy smirked at me and I nodded at him. I looked at Tony as he stared at us with the other Avengers.
"Can you show us were our bedroom is so I can get use to these surroundings, it will not take as long because it has many of the same material structure that Jimmy brings home to upgrade our Kingdom." Tony looked at me for a second before speaking again in a slow talk as if he was making sure it was real.
"You have a Kingdom?" I nodded and brought Jack closer.
"Of course, but when I was fighting the Guardians I had to make sure they didn't find my home so I made a base in a whole, under a bed." They stared at me and I stared back with a poke face, Jack broke the silence with a question.
"The Guardians are mean, I wish I didn't meet them, especially Bunny. I accidentally made it snow on Easter Sunday 1998 and he holds a grudge even now! Can you believe that?" I sighed softly at Jack's rambling.
"It seems like you guys don't like the Easter Bunny most of all?" I scoffed as Steve said the obvious, I nodded my head.
"Apparently before I came here, he tried to sneak into my room and give me a position to make me do the 'right' decision." They nodded in understanding at what Jack said, I patted his head and looked at Tony and signalled that we wanted to go in the building with my head. Tony nodded and led the way to our room which was pretty big, Jack turned to Tony and nodded his head as we entered our room.
"Thank you for letting us stay here Tony, it is very kind of you." Tony and Jack started having a conversation as I thought back to how Bunny was acting around Jack, he still had that grudge against Jack for 1998 so could he be the one who hired King Brian to kill Jack. The more I thought of it, the more it made sense. Bunny has always hated Jack and now he was trying to kill him because he didn't want him around anymore, I was so deep in thinking I didn't see Tony leave with the Avengers and Jack unpacking his suitcase until Jack broke me out of my thoughts.
"Dad? Are you ok? Do you need to lay down? Do you need something? Do you-." I cut him off with a ruffle to the hair, I smiled at him before speaking.
"I'm actually thinking about who could be the one trying to kill you. I think its Bunny, it fits perfectly but something's not right." Jack just smiled and went back to unpacking his suit case as he spoke.
"You're thinking too hard on it, relax and enjoy the peace we have at the moment. It won't last long so, enjoy it while you can dad." I smiled at his back before starting to unpack my own suitcase.
Jack Pov
I smiled when I finished unpacking my stuff and looked over at my dad as he was putting away a few of his last items, I got up and stretched before a pair of arms wrapped themselves around me. I looked up and saw my dad and smiled at him.
"You finished unpacking already? I swear you still had some stuff to put away." Pitch only smiled at me before hugging me tighter, I smiled wider and decided to play around with him for a while.
"Dad. Your crushing me." He looked at me with concern for a second before seeing my grin and smirking at me before he actually started to playfully crush me.
"I'll crush you all right." I laughed as we played around for a while before we were interrupted by Jimmy running in and tackling us to the ground while screaming.
"I WANT TO PLAY TOO." I laughed as we all started wrestling on the floor before a new voice interrupted us.
"Why are you all on the floor?" I looked over and saw Tony Stark their watching us with a smirk, me and Jimmy looked at each other before answering at the same time.
"BECAUSE IT'S FUN." We then tackled him to the floor as he played with us as well, after a while we started to stop until we stopped completely. Jimmy and I caught our breaths quickly before looking at each other.
"That was fun." I smiled as Jimmy nodded his head in agreement, Tony looked puffed out still so I formed some ice in my hand before offering it to him.
"I got to ask you to do that for my drinks, make it a lot easier." I stifled my giggle and smiled at him as he took the ice.
"As long as you don't call me over all the time for that." He smiled back at me before Jimmy interrupted us.
"Look who is already becoming friends, Tony and Baby Jack." He rustled my hair as I playfully gave him a glare and ran after him as he ran away.
"GET BACK HERE JIMMY, YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME." I yelled as I chased him through the tower, I didn't even realise that I had left Pitch alone with Tony.
Pitch Pov
I watched Tony suck on the ice as he caught his breath, we stared at each other for a while before I decided to break the silence.
"Jack seems to like you so you better not hurt him Stark or you'll regret it." I said in a cold voice before walking into the hall and away from Tony Stark as he realised he had just probably pissed off the person who owns the tower, I sighed softly as I thought of the consequences that could happen because of my actions against Stark. "I've done worse." I say to myself as I walk towards were Jack and Jimmy were making noise.
Guardian Pov
"Why did you have to do that Bunny, now Jack has run away from us." Tooth growled at Bunny as everyone stared at her wide eyed, she was acting strange. "Now I'll never get a chance like this again." Tooth glared at Bunny again before walking back and forth like she was thinking about something.
"What do you mean Tooth? What chance do you mean?" North asked as Tooth stopped walking before smirking, she turned to the other Guardians and walked towards them in a dangerous manner.
"You want to know what I'll never get a chance at again. I'll never get a chance to kill Jack because of how selfish you idiots are." The Guardians eyes widened before Bunny got up and pointed at her.
"So it was you who hired King Brian to kill Jack, how could you do that? You told us you had a crush on him and was going to tell him about it." Tooth's smirk dropped as she thought about back when she did tell him. She turned to Bunny and glared.
"I did tell him and you know what he said, 'I'm into guys, sorry Tooth', how would you feel if you got rejected by the person you love because they liked the same gender." The Guardians eyes widened as she walked over to a window, North stepped forward.
"What are you doing Tooth?" Tooth looked at North and smirked.
"I'm making sure you won't get in my way." She then opened the window and thousands of mini Tooth fairies flew in and sprayed something at then before they all lost conscious. Tooth looked at them and smiled sadly. "I'm just making sure you don't get in the way." Tooth then tied them up in thick rope before looking at her mini Tooth Fairies. "Don't let them out of this room." Tooth told them before flying out the open window, the mini Tooth fairies shut the window after Tooth was gone.
Tooth flew towards Jack's Lake to get some water for a spell when she saw there was no Lake, Tooth's eyes widened before looking around for it. Tooth growled softly before whispering softly. "I'm coming for you Jack. One way or another, I will get my revenge." She flew off and towards her home to get more Tooth Fairies to join the search for Jack.
Tooth's anger blinded her so much that she didn't see Baby Tooth fly past with Jack's memory box, she watched her mother fly off before following the direction the Tooth box was glowing the brightest. She was going to save Jack just like how he had saved her, her mother wasn't going to get away with this.
Jack Pov
I stopped chasing Jimmy for a second to look out the window, it felt like someone was calling for me. I guess I was looking for too long because I felt a hand tap my shoulder, I looked over and saw Steve there with a concerned look on his face as he looked at my face.
"Are you alright Jack, you seem distracted?" I smiled at him before shaking my head and looking towards the window again.
"It's nothing, it just feels like someone is out there looking for me." I looked out the window a bit more before shaking my head, I smiled at him before speaking again. "It's probably nothing." I then ran off to find Pitch because I know he would have left by now, Steve watched my back with a concerned expression before walking off as well. I had to tell dad about what I just felt out the window.
Loki Pov
"It's almost time for me to join the battle, I guess I'll be seeing you again brother." I smirked as I grabbed out my armour and started to put it on, I just needed to wait for the right time.
Thor Pov
I looked out the window of Lady Jane's window and felt something, like a pull, for me to go back to the Tower, I turned to Lady Jane and spoke as she was working on her project of science.
"I feel the need to visit my old friends at the Tower of Stark, I will come back in a few days my Lady Jane." She jumped slightly before turning to me.
"Sure, as long as you come back this time." I nodded before getting dressed into my cloths and armour, I walked out the door with my hammer and swinged it around and up to the sky. I was now on my way to Stark tower.
"I know you are coming brother, I can feel it but I don't think you're here to hurt anyone this time. You're here to protect something you care about, I just have to find out what." I said to myself as I flew towards the Tower of Stark.

Hello again guys. I thank you for reading my Story and I was hoping to do a vote for the next chapter, I'm thinking of making a thing of Loki X Jack pairing in this story and if you want it or not, review your answer.

I hope you guys have a good weekend and I hope you guys have a good time reading this story, from now on since I'm actually writing new chapters because up to chapter 7 or 8 was the last chapter's that were being changed.
