At his mansion in Rockford Hills, Michael was sitting on the couch, watching one of his favorite classic '80s movies. While the ponies living under him were doing a bit of their own things, he himself was troubled by the fact that he had to compensate for Martin's destroyed house.
As he switched off the TV, he heard a conversation between the ponies upstairs.
"So when will the portal appear in here?" one familiar voice asked.
"According to this site, it says that it will appear in... the runway in LSX?" another voice said.
"What portal?" Michael asked.
Upon asking, Michael saw the Princesses discussing over something. He was intrigued to find out what they were discussing about.
"Well..." Princess Luna began explaining the situation. "You see, we've been doing up some research, and we found out there's a portal that leads back to Equestria."
"We have been looking up on a few websites, and we did a bit of research," Princess Cadence said.
"Yes, and it means only one thing," Princess Celestia said. "We're going back to Equestria."
"What? But that's impossible! Portals and that sci-fi shit don't even exist!" Michael retorted.
"I'm sorry, Michael, but we have to return back to our home..." Twilight sadly said. "I know it might be too hard on you for us to leave so soon, but we have to return back home. All our families and friends back home are worried about us."
Michael was taken aback at the ponies. They were leaving very soon. For the past few days, he had been a bit nasty to the ponies at first. However, after the ponies helped him out, he had been friendly with them, even hanging out with them. It was now time to say farewell to them.
"Well, if you have to go back home..." Michael said, tears welling in his eyes. He then dried his tears. "I suppose we'll have to get the rest of the gang together, I guess."
Michael took out his cellphone, dialing up Franklin to tell him the bad news. After some explanation, Franklin also had no choice but to give in to the fact that the ponies had to return back to Equestria. Franklin decided to meet up with Michael and the rest of the ponies, to gather them up before bidding farewell to the group. The duo had decided to meet up at Los Santos International Airport, also known as LSX. Michael took out the box containing the Elements and then passed it to Twilight. After that, he, along with his group of ponies, had taken his Tailgater. However, everyone had to cram into Michael's car. Sadly, the Cutie Mark Crusaders had to ride in the car via cramming themselves in the Tailgater's trunk. The ponies had decided to leave their cars behind as a memento for the two men, along with their phones, money and weapons in their various respective cars.
Meanwhile, Franklin had gathered the rest of the ponies under him into his Buffalo S. Again, however, some of the ponies had to cram themselves in the Buffalo's trunk. Pinkie and Rainbow Dash stuffed themselves in the trunk, to ease the journey for the other three ponies.
After arriving at LSX, the two men stopped their cars in the parking spots near the LSIA Parking Station. The duo then got the ponies out of their cars, opened the trunks of their cars to give the ponies crammed in the boot some air, before they conversed with each other.
"Hey, man, whassup?" Franklin said to Michael.
"How are ya?" Michael asked.
"Shit, man, we really gonna say goodbye to them ponies?" Franklin asked. He really didn't want this to come true, but it wasn't fake, as Twilight explained the situation clearly to him.
"Damn, man, that's sounds like a conspiracy website or some shit like that, you really believe in that stuff?" Franklin retorted.
"Look, if it's something of important value that can help us to get back home, we're not risking it," Twilight explained. "It's just too important."
"Well, you heard the mare, no time to lose," Michael said. "Alright, good news, is that according to the site, the so-called portal's on one of the runways in the airport. Bad news, it's a restricted area. Regular civilians aren't allowed to enter the runways. Besides, there's cops all over the place."
"Then how are we going to get back home?" Dash asked.
"I've got a plan. But it's gonna be risky," Michael said. Franklin and the ponies were all ears.
Several minutes later...
Michael and Franklin, agreed to carry out their plan that Michael had just come up with. They made sure all the ponies were back in the cars before they left. The men drove their cars and then stopped in front of one of the security gates leading to the runway.
"You ready?" Michael asked Franklin.
"On you, man," Franklin replied.
"Now!" Michael said, stepping on the pedal, making the Tailgater accelerate to high speed. Franklin, upon hearing the cue, did the same. Both vehicles smashed through the gate, killing a few unaware guards there. The rest of the guards opened fire on the two cars, which were now driving on the runway.
The men drove their cars around frantically, looking for the portal. In the meantime, however, cops were dispatched to chase down the two vehicles for trespassing. Even a police Maverick was deployed at the scene.
"Where the hell is that portal?" Michael said, smashing his way through a fleet of police Crusiers and Interceptors.
"Over there!" Twilight said, pointing towards a strange-looking hole on the ground, at a nearby runway. Michael drove around some of the cops, quickly arriving at the portal. Franklin also did the same, performing some 180s to confuse the cops. Both men stopped at the location where the portal was, and had the ponies out of the cars. They also opened the trunks of their cars to let the rest of the ponies out.
"Okay, guys, you gotta go," Michael said.
"Yeah, it was good seeing you guys, man," Franklin said.
The men then hugged the ponies quickly, as cops were arriving at the scene.
"I really don't wanna miss you guys, but..." Michael began sobbing.
"We'll see y'all later, I hope, man," Franklin said.
"The cops! They're coming!" Rainbow said to the group.
"Never mind them," Michael said. "Just go."
"Before them cops catch y'all homies," Franklin said.
The ponies quickly bid their farewells to the two men. They then entered the portal, just moments before the portal mysteriously disappeared. The two men were now alone, all by themselves. Soon enough, various cop cars had surrounded the men.
"Freeze! LSPD!" one of the officers shouted, pointing his pistol at the men.
"Don't move a muscle!" another officer said.
"Both of you are under arrest!" yet another officer shouted.
Michael and Franklin had no choice but to surrender to the cops. They held their hands in the air. A few officers then came and cuffed the two men, before putting them in seperate police Cruisers. The cops had also made arrangement to get two Tow Trucks to tow the men's cars to the impound lot. Both Michael and Franklin hoped that the ponies would return safely back home, as cops escorted them towards the nearest police station in cop cars.
Meanwhile...
The ponies were all on their way back home. Equestria. Home sweet home. Everypony looked forward to going back home, and to find that one guy who threw them all into the chaos of the GTA V universe. But, as soon as they set foot in Equestria, it didn't look anything like Equestria. For some reason, it now looked much more like a prison. The good thing was that, everypony had their abilities restored, which meant that those with wings could fly again and those with horns could use their magic again. The bad thing, was, that, it was cold, along with the fact that everypony was standing in total darkness.
"We better check out Ponyville. This doesn't look good," Twilight remarked, grabbing the box of Elements.
"My sister and I will need to get back to Canterlot to see what's going on here," Luna said.
With that, the Mane Six, along with the CMC, left for Ponyville. Celestia, Luna and Cadence headed back to Canterlot Castle to investigate the situation.
What the ponies didn't know, however, was that the new mysterious leader had changed Equestria to fit his style. Various statues had been erected in the rulers' absence. Instead of the bright sky, however, it was dull, and due to the lack of both the sun and the moon, it was extremely dark. The only things that were giving off light was the lamps that had been placed along the path that led to Ponyville. The ponies followed the trail of light towards their hometown. However, when they got there, they saw two, strange, human-looking figures guarding the place.
"Who the hay are they?" Rainbow asked. The figures looked like Michael and Franklin, however, they didn't seem friendly. When the duo heard the rainbow-maned pony, they looked behind, spotting the group of ponies. The men were about to grab the ponies, when suddenly...
Pow!
The two men, now knocked unconscious, fell to the ground. A small, familiar-looking figure was seen from behind.
"Spike? Is that you?" Twilight asked.
"Twilight?" the voice responded. The figure then walked forward, revealing to be Spike the dragon. The ponies made small talk with Spike.
"Twilight! You're okay!" Spike said.
"Spike! How glad am I to see you!" Twilight responded.
"Where did you ponies go? I was worried," Spike asked.
"What's going on here? What's with the dark sky?"
"I'll explain later. Follow me!"
The ponies followed Spike through the now deserted Ponyville. They were all heading to the Friendship Castle, located on the outskirts of the village.
Meanwhile, at Canterlot Castle...
"What do you mean you lost an entire platoon of soldiers? Do you not know who you're dealing with?" the General asked.
"Sir, the ponies, the rebellion grows stronger in numbers," a soldier responded. "They strongly detest the leader's rules, and our numbers are growing weaker without additional reinforcements from the other side."
"I don't care how you deal with these ponies. If they stand in your way, I want you to kill 'em."
"But sir, that would be..."
"ENOUGH! You will now go, before you will join the rest of them in the dungeon."
"Yes, sir..." the soldier said, having no choice but to kill ponies should they attempt to block the private army militia led by Devin Weston.
Moments ago...
The group of ponies and Spike had arrived at the Friendship Castle. Twilight was relieved that the castle was still safe, and the fact that it was protected by a magical force field that was raised around the castle and it's surroundings. Spike guided the ponies inside around the now fortified-looking castle.
"You see," the dragon began. "There's a military group, called Merryweather. For some reason, they have come here, to Equestria, to take it over for their leader. Whoever it is, they sure are causing some trouble. Merryweather operatives have taken over various cities around Equestria. Manehattan, Appleloosa, Baltimore, you name it. The only city that Merryweather hasn't taken over yet is the Crystal Empire, as it is under protection from the Crystal Heart."
"Where did Merryweather come from?" Applejack asked.
"I'm not sure," Spike said. "But you might wanna ask the leader of the Resistance. He'll probably know."
"Who's the leader?" Pinkie asked.
"It might be better if I just show you guys who he is, because you might not like him," Spike replied.
As the group walked around the castle, they saw numerous ponies injured from the fights they had with Merryweather soldiers. Some ponies were seen resting in various rooms from exhaustion. Others were either sitting along the hallways, waiting and resting, or practicing combat skills to fight against Merryweather. Some were even donning armor in the form of the nation's royal guards.
"So, the refugee ponies are staying here?" Twilight asked with concern.
"You could put it that way," Spike answered. "We tried to gather as many ponies as we could under our protection from the soldiers. Not everyone made it, though..."
"Who didn't make it back here? I wanna know this instant!" Applejack asked in a booming voice.
"Relax, AJ, Big Mac and Granny Smith are resting in one of the rooms," Spike replied. AJ gave herself a sigh of relief.
"There were some who didn't make it. We guessed that either Merryweather had captured them, or they are still out there, wandering..." Spike's voice trailed off. "For those that weren't here, we made a memorial, in the basement of the castle, to remember them."
"Now where are we headed?" Applebloom asked.
"The throne room. Our leader's in there. He'll probably explain everything clearly once you meet him," Spike said.
As Spike opened the doors to the throne room, the ponies all had a shock when they saw who the Resistance's leader was.
"Discord?" the ponies said in unison.
"Why, hello, my little ponies!" Discord exclaimed. He walked away from a group of ponies, down toward the other group of ponies.
"What are you doing here?" Dash asked.
"Don't you see what I'm doing here?" Discord said. "I'm in charge of the Resistance forces against the army of Merryweather, my friends."
"What's going on here?" Twilight asked.
"Well, you see, after the disappearances of the Princesses and the Elements of Harmony, some pony took over Equestria. Now, I don't know who that pony is. Well, whatever the reason, he enslaved the land by calling in his army, better known as Merryweather, to capture ponies and make them his slaves in the process," Discord explained to the ponies. "Well, anyway, I did try to save them. However, I was not able to save everypony. Whoever you see here are those that the Resistance has managed to rescue from the wildnerness."
"So, what can we do to save Equestria and everypony from Merryweather?" Fluttershy asked.
"Fluttershy, my dear, I really don't know. But right now, I'm focusing on rescuing as many ponies as I can before we launch a counterattack on them," Discord replied.
Just then, Spike burped up a letter from Princess Celestia, sent to Twilight and friends. Spike opened up the letter and read it.
"My dearest student Twilight Sparkle, Equestria is in grave danger. A gang of soldiers from a group called Merryweather has taken over multiple cities around Equestria. Currently, Princess Cadence is on her way back to the Crystal Empire to check things out there, while my sister and I are doing up research in the royal library. We have found out that there are three hidden bearers of the Elements in the multiverse. However, they cannot be found in our world. According to some books, these respective Elements can only be found in the universe of crime, greed, and corruption. As we are not sure what that particular universe could be, I want you and your friends to go to that universe, and retrieve these bearers of the Elements. The names are as follows: the Element of Rage, the Element of Depression, and the Element of Success. Please do locate them, along with the bearers of these respective Elements as soon as possible and bring them to our world. Your faithful mentor, Princess Celestia," Spike read the letter.
"Well, it seems Celestia has sent her word to you ponies," Discord announced to the group. "Then you ponies should be on your way, to whatever that universe she mentioned could be. And bring along some luggage there. You might not know what you might actually need while you're in there."
"That universe sounds very familiar..." Rarity wondered. "Could it be..."
"The universe where Franklin and Michael are in?" Dash cut in.
"Well, I am guessing that you might need some help. It sounds like I might need to talk to the Doctor..." Discord said, before he left the room in search of Doctor Whooves.
"Now where's he going?" Dash asked.
"I'm guessing he went off to look for somepony," Spike answered.
"Well then, I guess we should prepare our luggage, then," Twilight said. "We better pack only light necessities for the journey."
The group of ponies then scrambled, heading off to pack only what was needed for the trip.
Meanwhile...
Doctor Whooves was busy repairing his TARDIS, with the help of his assistants, Minuette and Derpy.
"Could someone pass me my sonic screwdriver?" the Doctor asked.
"Sure thing," Derpy said, rummaging through the Doctor's tools on the table. However, she accidentally knocked over a pile of books the Doctor had placed on the table.
"Whoops, my bad," Derpy said.
Minuette took the sonic screwdriver from the pile of tools and passed it over to the Doctor.
"Here you go, Doc," Minuette said, passing the tool to the Doctor as he replaced one of the TARDIS's circuit boards.
"Thanks, my loyal and trusty assistant," the Doctor said, using the screwdriver to screw out a few screws from the cover to replace the damaged circuitry. Just then, Discord popped into the room.
"Hello, Doc," Discord said. "Could I have a word with you?"
"Sure," the Doctor responded, getting up and then stepping out of the room. Derpy and Minuette exchanged looks, wondering what Discord was up to.
After conversing with the Doctor, Discord had Minuette and Derpy step out, as he was enrolling the other Mane Six(better known as the background Mane Six) into the fray of helping the Mane Six find the remaining three elements to defeat Merryweather. The Doctor himself was busy making a few gadgets for the guards to use against the Merryweather troops, and as he was researching on the technology that the humans were using, he had to stay behind to help the Resistance. However, he sent his assistants, Minuette and Derpy to take his place.
Discord, having gathered Derpy and Minuette into the adventure, went to gather the rest of the background Mane Six, namely, Lyra Heartstrings, Bon Bon, Octavia and Vinyl Scratch. After gathering the six ponies up, he briefed them on the situation. The group of six agreed to help the Elements of Harmony to find the remaining three Elements, which was believed to have been located in the universe of GTA V. Lyra was extremely eager to see if there were any humans that she could find on her adventure.
"Well, off to see Twilight," Discord said. "I better inform her that you ponies are traveling with her and her group. You ponies might wanna bring some luggage while you're there."
After hearing Discord's advice, the six background ponies headed to their rooms to get their stuff and prepare for the trip.
Derpy had crammed her bag with muffins, just so that she could eat some of her favorite delicacies while she was in the 'alternate universe'. Minuette packed her baggage with toothpaste, toothbrushes, and a few of the Doctor's treasures he had got for her, including a gold plated hourglass. Vinyl had stuffed her luggage with loads of her limited edition records she had obtained during her journey across Equestria, along with her speakers, turntable, and headphones, all for her DJ set while she was there. Octavia just brought along her cello in her cello case, with her bow, as well as a few of her extra pink bow ties and white collars, in a small bag. Bon Bon took some of her own books on various different accents, just so that she could speak to the people in the other universe. Lyra loaded her bag with her unique one-of-a-kind lyre, along with a notebook, and some stationary to take a few notes about the place she was going to 'visit'.
A while later, Discord arrived back at the throne room, with the background Mane Six and their luggage. He told Twilight about them, as they were going to help them on their journey. Twilight agreed on the fact that she could get all the help she needed to locate the Elements. She then gathered up the ponies, along with the CMC.
"Alright, we will be traveling to a new world, in a new universe," Twilight briefed the ponies. "For some of us, we have been there before. For the rest, however, it will be your first time there. The reason why I've gathered all of you here, is for me to enchant a spell on all of us here. This spell will disguise all of us as humans while we're in the universe. Although, as most of us here don't know what humans are, let alone, how humans move about, I have managed to obtain a spell from the Crystal Mirror, which in turn, gives us human forms in the shape of the students at Canterlot High. Also known as the human world."
"Ooh! Are we going to have hands, legs, and feet?" Lyra excitedly asked.
"Now why does that sound familiar?" Spike said to himself.
"Spike, you'll be staying here in Ponyville to help the Resistance and protect Equestria while we're gone," Twilight explained.
"Whatever the reason, I suppose you ponies need to be on your way now," Discord said. "Luckily for you I have enough power to summon up a portal back to where you ponies were hanging around in."
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Dash remarked. "Let's do it!"
Twilight first cast a spell on the ponies. Her horn lit up, engulfing the ponies. However, this didn't seem to have any effect, as the ponies were still ponies and not humans.
"Erm..." Lyra muttered with disappointment. 'I thought that spell you enchanted on us would turn us into humans."
"Well, it only takes effect while we're in the universe, not while we're still here," Twilight explained.
"Oh," Lyra remarked.
After Twilight enchanted the spell on the ponies, Discord snapped his fingers, making a portal appear out of nowhere near the ponies.
"You ponies have fun," Discord said to the ponies. "Especially you, Fluttershy. You ponies take care now!"
"You too," Fluttershy replied.
"We'll do our best to protect Equestria while we're gone," Spike said.
"Wish us luck!" Derpy waved towards the Resistance staying behind.
Once everypony said their farewells to each other, they stepped into the portal, one by one, and bringing along the luggage that they brought with them. Discord and Spike waved goodbyes to the group, which were now on the way to the universe of GTA V.
Meanwhile, in GTA V...
After having being arrested and busted by the LSPD for trespassing on unauthorized grounds, both Michael and Franklin were in custody. They were being interviewed by inspectors separately in Mission Row Police Station in Los Santos.
In one of the interview rooms, Michael was sitting down, being interviewed by an inspector officer, who had a folder with documents in it.
"Hello, Mr De Santa," the inspector began, opening his folder and taking out a few relevant documents, and then read a few files about the 40 year-old man. "So, tell me, honestly, what were you doing, trespassing the airport's runway, and killing a few friendly officers in the process?"
"Look, Officer," Michael said, attempting to explain the situation to the inspector. "There was a reason behind all this."
"What reason exactly?" the inspector shot back.
"I was... looking for... a portal! You know, one of those things that looks like a hole, and if you walk through it..."
"Okay, Mr De Santa," the inspector interrupted his words, wanting to quickly get the case over with, as it was almost time for the officer's lunch break. "Before you pay the due fees and all, who are these characters?"
"Erm, who exactly?" Michael replied.
The inspector shot him a glancing look, sliding a few sheets of photos across the table. Michael looked at the photos, and he was taken aback. The photos clearly showed the ponies, and it was the whole group, along with a familiar figure helping them out. It was Franklin.
"Now, Mr De Santa, you were seen with another person, doing something to these unknown figures at the runway. What were you doing there? Who are the figures? Who was this other figure who was also with you while you were there?" the inspector asked.
Just before Michael could answer, the inspector's mobile rang. The inspector picked up the call, before putting down his handphone.
"Consider yourself lucky. My officer-in-charge has placed me with another case to carry out. He has declared this case as solved. Go and settle your fines, and your impound fee for your car, and get out of here," the inspector said, taking the folder if documents with him and then leaving the interview room.
Michael just shrugged and headed off to pay his fines and collect his car keys, before collecting his Tailgater. On the way out after collecting his car keys, he met Franklin.
"Franklin!" Michael said to the hustler, who had also just collected his car keys for his Buffalo S. "How are you doing?"
"Shit, homie, things got really fucked up in there," Franklin explained. "The inspection dude asked me a few questions, and then left the room, saying I could go. So I paid my fines, and I saw you on the way out."
"Well, you wanna go for a drink?" Michael asked Franklin.
"Shit, homie, I'm fine with that," Franklin said, agreeing to Michael's offer for drinking.
The duo then headed to the impound garage to get in their cars, before driving off from the police station.
