Chapter 10

"I want to see Dani, Mitchie and Taylor, Gary. Take me to them right now!" Rachel growls darkly.

"Rachel, you KNOW I'm not allowed to." Gary sighs rubbing his tired eyes.

"You will get away with it, Gary. They are my best friends. Please!"

"I can't."

"Fine." Sitting down on the bench, Rachel waits patiently until Gary's back is turned. Ducking down when Gary can't see her, Rachel crawls into the back. Slipping into the hall where the cells are, Rachel looks back to Gary before jogging down the cells, looking for Will's.

Muttering curses under her breath for five minutes while coming up empty, Rachel finally stops at the last one. Looking in, Rachel stares before grinning.

"Found you." Rachel whispers spotting Taylor, Dani, Mitchie and Will himself.

"Rachel?" Rachel hears Dani's scratchy tired voice whisper.

"I'm here, Dani." Rachel calls out gently. Watching Dani awake from her sleep, Rachel gives her a light wave as the younger girl looks at her.

"What are you doing here?"

"Santana told me should saw you guys." The older girl explains as Dani walks over to her, while Taylor, Will and Mitchie awake. After greeting each other, Mitchie breaks the news, the news that turns Rachel extremely furious but also scared, for her best friends.

"Master and Mistress are back. The lady," Mitchie pauses forgetting Will's ex-wife's name, "what's-her-face, works with them."

Rolling her eyes, Taylor sighs, "Terri. That's the 'what's-her-face's name."

"Whatever, I hate her." Dani mumbles.

"Why aren't you at school, Rachel?" Will asks.

Looking down, Rachel bites her lip before answering, "I freaked out at school. I got scared and angry, and worried as well."

"Rachel, please look at me." Will softly directs. Watching Rachel look at him, Will smiles gently, "The girls are here perfectly fine and unharmed now. They will be sick soon for being out for so long, but they are here with me now. If you would like to stay, you may. If you would like to go back to school, you may as well."

"When will you be out?"

"I was told later tonight or tomorrow."

"But won't your apartment be watched?"

"Gary came by while the girls were sleeping, and he brought his brother. They are putting it under watch, along with the school. Plus Gary heard Terri and the girls' parents. They are putting up wanted flyers and everything."

"So everything is taken care of?"

"Yes. We should be back to school on Monday."

Spending the rest of the time until Monday, Will spent time with the girls. Watching movies, playing games and helping Dani and Mitchie quiz over what they remember they left off at in their class, but also tutoring Taylor. Staying in contact with Gary, Will gets updates every three hours so no one is in the dark.

That Monday, Will wakes the girls. Over their free time, Will gained Dani's trust more and sees the more relax stance in her.

Cooking breakfast, Will wipes the sleep from his eyes before sipping on coffee.

"Morning." Turning to Taylor's voice, Will smiles.

"Good morning, Taylor. Sleep well?" Will questions.

"Regular nightmares, but alright." Nightmares have been constant for the three girls, and Will can't blame them. The night before the first one since they got home, that they all slept in their own beds. They have joined Will in the middle of the night, and it has always been Dani who asked in her own and her sisters' favour.

Will's just proud of her slowly crumbling her walls around him. Sure, she's still on edge around him, but he is just too proud of her to care.

"What are you cooking?"

"Pancakes. Would you like to help?"

"Okay!" Taylor smiles excitedly. Watching her get the table set like they have always done since he took the girls in, Will knows they are right back on their regular mornings. Taylor and himself are always up first while Mitchie and Dani slowly come out. As Dani says, "In the mornings Mitchie and I are slugs."

Hearing the other two girls' footsteps, Will plays the cooked pancakes on the four plates.

"Good morning, slugs!" Will teases. Looking at the sleepy teenagers, Will chuckles as they both roll their eyes and stick their tongues out at him, "You both are definitely twins."

Finishing breakfast, the twins wash and dry the dishes as Will packs their lunches he made the night before. Taylor packs her backpack of the 'homework' Will made for her as review and an mp3 for music.

Looking at the clock, Will sighs noticing they are running late. He called the school on Friday, telling them he is to return on Monday, along with the twins and Taylor. Not honestly caring that they are running late, Will makes sure the girls are ready.

Heading down to his car, Will unlocks it before hearing a cry behind him. Turning quickly, Will freezes in shock, seeing Terri with a knife to Dani's throat.

"Let her go!" Will growls feeling anger and fear for the girls, "Get in the car."

Ordering Mitchie and Taylor, he signals them to get in. Hearing the door open and close, Will knows they are watching scared and helpless.

"I said. Let. Her. Go." Will snaps slowly moving toward them. Seeing Dani's terrified face and tears falling rapidly, the anger bubbles more on the surface.

"What are you going to do about it, Will? Honestly, you aren't meant to be a parent if you can't even help a kid." Terri taunts.

"If you don't let her go right now, I will hit you, Terri."

"But you don't hit women, Will. It goes against everything you believe in."

"If it's to help an innocent girl, who I look at like a daughter, I will."

Watching her ex's eyes narrow, Terri flinches before pressing the knife against Dani's neck.

"Stay away, Will. That's far enough. Any closer and I swear to God, I will stab her."

"You aren't a killer, Terri. Are you that jealous of the girls?" Will questions staying still.

"Will, help." Dani begs choking on her tears.

"Dani, what is that trick you wanted to show me?" Will asks trying to talk her into disarming Terri. Seeing her confused eyes, Will bites his lip, "You know, the one that you used to get away and help Taylor and Mitchie."

Watching Dani's face as it dawns on her, Will sprints forward as the young girl digs her nails into Terri's arm. Struggling to bend her hand away, Dani squirms just as Will grabs her arm. Pushing Terri to the ground, Will hugs Dani into his side.

"Stay the hell away from them, Terri." Will snaps letting Dani cry into his jacket, "If you don't I hope you get arrested on sight."

Pulling up to the school after telling the patrol cars about what happened, Will knows by the time they get to the spot, Terri will be gone.

Telling the girls they don't have to go to their classes, Mitchie just nodded, hugging Dani in the back with Taylor.

After informing the office he and the girls are at the school, Will holds Taylor's hand slowly walking down the hallway. Feeling a trembling hand take his, Will looks to find it is Dani's.

"Are you okay? Would you like to stay with me for awhile?" Will asks. Watching her nod, Will frowns concerned that Dani isn't speaking.

Arriving to his classroom, Will unlocks the door. Opening it, Will turns on the lights before hearing a cheer. Startled, Will jumps, before laughing seeing the Glee Club.

"Why aren't any of you in your classes?" Will questions stepping into the room.

"Be glad that I actually allowed them to do this, William." Sue replies sitting in the back with Santana, Quinn and Brittney next to her, "You deserve a small party for coming back. This school is too boring without our bickering."

"You missed me, Sue. That's the emotion that you feel." Will chuckles as Taylor and Mitchie take their regular seats, while Dani stays at his side.

"Whatever, William." Sue rolls her eyes with a tiny grin, "But it's nice to finally have you back." Getting to her feet, Sue walks over giving Dani a gentle smile before patting Will's shoulder, "See you at lunch." Leaving the room, Sue couldn't help but see the girl's terrified eyes which caused her to give her a gently smile.

In the room, Santana watches Rachel hug Mitchie and Taylor before walking slowly to Dani. Not hearing the whispers, Santana knows by the look on Rachel's face that it's something bad.

"I'm going to kill her." The students hear Rachel's growl, "I'm going to rip her ugly fake nose off and shove it down her throat."

Looking at everyone's shocked faces, Santana gulps, also scared.

Never get on Berry's bad side. Santana whispers in her mind.
