Long time no update, sorry about that. I've also read the older chapters of this and found some typos, sorry about that.
Starfire's POV
She shivered in the little den. It wasn't just the chill from the snow storm outside, but from the touch of that... that thing. The shadow monster showed her a horrible image. Starfire felt like something was freezing her blood whenever she thought of it, even in the slightest. It was weird, and the fact that Ivyfall left half an hour ago didn't help.
"The shadow will be back. It will engulf us in darkness..." Starfire mummbled, a little louder than she normally did. Now that Starfire herself could hear it, it was nothing like she'd say, ever in her life. Clearly, now she would. She did feel a fimiliar power come back to her, however. She felt like she had her starbolts back. She tried to rile up a little anger so she could try to shoot, but something was blocking her from using her powers. She just couldn't feel angry. "Maybe if I try harder?" Starfire asked herself, although she felt a presence behind her. She just thought it was someone standing outside the den, so she shrugged it off. Starfire tried to think of joyful thoughts and managed to do so, but the joy didn't come. She only had the thoughts, but not the feeling. Starfire's ears laid back against her head in defeat. She couldn't bring any certain emotions to her.
"Starfire? Are you ok?" Robin's voice said behind her. Ivyfall usually had them stay away from Starfire, but she wasn't there.
"Robin?" Starfire asked. She turned her head and saw the black tom standing behind her. His face expression was just plain worry.
"Ya, it's me. I haven't gotten to talk to you in a while. Are you feeling ok? You said something... weird. I would've never thought you'd say something about darkness destroying us all, or something like that." Robin said, and sat down next to his shivering friend. He placed his tail on her shoulder. "You're also cold."
"I am scared Robin. I cannot seem to bring any emotion to me by will." Starfire responded, the last part muffled when she put her nose under one of her paws. She looked at Robin, who looked pretty worried. He seemed speechless, she could see it in his eyes. He didn't know what to do either.
Ivyfall's POV
Ivyfall walked along side the WindClan border, keeping her ears pricked up, listening for signs of the other medicine cats. WindClan scent blowed towards her, and knew that Lilypelt was coming. There was a new voice with her, though. Young sounding, too. Ivyfall looked to where the voices were coming from and saw Lilypelt with someone who looked to be an apprentice.
"Hello, Ivyfall!" Lilypelt said. Lilypelt ran over to Ivyfall, with the apprentice following right behind her. "I take it we're waiting for everyone else, since they're not here." Lilypelt said. She was good at saying the obvious, but no cat wanted to mention it to her.
"Who's this little one?" Ivyfall said, breaking the silence that had gripped them like a cold claw.
"This is Pebblepaw, my apprentice. Even though he was only apprenticed a moon ago, he seems more than ready to come with us the the Moonstone." Lilypelt said, her amber eyes sparked with pride.
"Hello!" Pebblepaw said, and nodded respectfully towards Ivyfall. "You must be Ivyfall, right? Lilypelt told me that you were ThunderClan's medicine cat, and you smell like ThunderClan." Pebble continued. "It's nice to meet you!" He finished. It was hard to tell because of the darkness, but he seemed to be a fluffy, dark brown and black tortoiseshell with white underneath. He seemed pretty nice, too.
"Greetings, Pebblepaw." Ivyfall said. Pebblepaw looked very excited to be there, and it made Ivyfall happy. "Eager to go, hm?" Ivyfall asked the new apprentice.
"You bet! I can't wait to meet my warrior ancestors!" Pebblepaw said, and bounced around.
"You're paws must be full with him." Ivyfall told Lilypelt. Lilypelt nodded.
"Yes, I'll have quiet a time with him, but I'll manage." Lilypelt said. The wind blew RiverClan scent their way. Both turned to face the wind and saw that Sprint-tail was coming. The white she cat reached the two easily, for Sprint-tail was a little faster than most RiverClan cats. Some cats believe that she has WindClan and RiverClan in her blood, but it's really just because she likes running around whenever she can.
"Hello Ivyfall, Lilypelt... and who is this young guy?" Sprint-tail said when she got in earshot.
"This is my apprentice, Pebblepaw." Lilypelt said, and Pebblepaw stopped running around.
"Hello! Are you Sprint-tail?" Pebblepaw asked. Sprint-tail nodded, and Pebblepaw nodded and continued running around.
"I'm surprised Sparrowpool hasn't arrived yet. She's usually the first here!"
"So am I. I hope she's ok." Lilypelt replied.
"I'm guessing Sladestar has something to do with it." Ivyfall told the two she cats. Pebblepaw stopping when he heard "Sladestar".
"Sladestar?" Sprint-tail echoed. Ivyfall nodded.
"ShadowClan's new leader. I don't know what happened to Dewstar, but Sladestar's in charge of ShadowClan now." Ivyfall said. The medicine cats and Pebblepaw looked shocked. Had they not known?
"Sorry I'm late!" a new voice said. All three cats turned and saw Sparrowpool with an apprentice of her own. 6 cats would share toungues with StarClan tonight. "I was busy, and I couldn't find Sunpaw anywhere. Sladestar brought Sunpaw to me, though. Sladestar said Sunpaw was exploring far outside the camp, close to the borders." Sparrowpool explained, while Sunpaw looked at his paws. Sparrowpool noticed this and sat down next to the apprentice. "Don't worry, Sunpaw. I'm sure you had a reason for it." Sunpaw heard this, and he held eye contact with his mentor for a moment. Sunpaw was lucky to have an understanding mentor.
"Well," Ivyfall said, breaking another silence. "we should go to the Moonstone now. We shouldn't leave StarClan waiting any longer." Ivyfall finished, and the 6 cats continued their journey to the Moonstone.
Lightningstar's POV
Lightningstar padded over to the fresh-kill pile. She put down the two mice she had been holding, and looked up to see Beastboy stareing at Raven, who was lying down next to a rock. He seemed a little nervous about something, but Lightningstar couldn't place what. She padded over to the green tom and sat down next to him.
"Something wrong?" Lightningstar asked. Beastboy turned his attention to the Clan leader.
"Um.. nothing. Just.. nervous." Beastboy said, with a forced chuckle at the end. Lightningstar looked him in the eye for a moment before getting up again.
"Huh. If that's so, it must of just been me." Lightningstar said. When she knew Beastboy was listening, she continued. "I mean, you've been stareing at her for, well, StarClan knows how long." Lightningstar said. She heard Beastboy adjust his paws in a nervous matter, like he was about to confess something but was trying with all his might to keep it in. After a quick minute of silence, she heard the tom walk over to her slowly.
"Look, I'll talk to you about it later, ok? I'm not in the mood to talk about it now." Beastboy told Lightningstar, who replied with a quick nod. Beastboy nodded back and went over to where Cyborg was. Lightningstar watched the green tom the whole way there, and thought to herself 'He's in love.'
Lightningstar's attention turned towards the nursery, and she padded inside. Dustflow was being covered with her kits, grief still on her face. The brown queen looked at Lightningstar when she padded in.
"Yes, Lightningstar?" Dustflow said.
"Violetkit and Stripedkit.. they're 6 moons old tomorrow, right? They're going to be made apprentices tomorrow by Sunhigh." Lightningstar said. For the first time since Foxblaze's death, Dustflow looked happy. Violetkit and Stripedkit looked up with excited eyes.
"Tomorrow?" Violetkit squeaked, and Stripedpaw leaped off of Dustflow and looked at Lightningstar with big, happy eyes.
"Yay!" Stripedpaw yelled, and rolled around the mossy ground. She pounced on Violetkit and pinned her down. "I'm gonna be the best warrior ever!" Stripedpaw continued. "See? I've already taken down an enemy cat and won! You'll see Lightningstar! I'll be the best hunter, and fighter, and patroller ever!" Stripedpaw finished. Violetkit pushed Stripedpaw off.
"Oh ya? Well, not if I can help it!" Violetkit squeaked at her sister, and the two started a play-fight. Lightningstar chuckled at the youth, and padded out of the den. She looked up at the sky and saw stars brightening up the sky, showing that StarClan was watching them.
Ivyfall's POV
The medicine cats all layed around the Moonstone, and tounced it with their noses. The two apprentices were confused at the gesture, but quickly understood and copied the older medicine cats.
Ivyfall opened her eyes and found herself in StarClan's hunting grounds. She looked around for a little, admiring the beauty of StarClan in leafbare.
"Greeting, Ivyfall." Someone said behind her. She turned and met eyes with her old mentor.
"Duskleaf? It's great to see you again!" Ivyfall said, and nodded respectfully to her ancestor. "I have something I need your help with. ThunderClan's in trouble, and-"
"And the shadow monster? Sladestar? I know, I've been watching. And both can be explained, but only to those whom wish to hear it." Duskleaf said.
"I wish to hear it." Ivyfall said, and Duskleaf nodded.
"Very well." Duskleaf said. "You know the Teen Titans, right?"
"Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Beastboy, and Raven, right?" Ivyfall said.
"Correct. When they were twolegs, Sladestar was known as just Slade. He and the Teen Titans were enemies, like rival Clans getting deeper in war. Slade was furious that he never succeeded in battles against the Titans, though he never truely lost. He found a way to bring them and himself here as cats, and he did so. He just needed help from a fellow enemy of the Titans, who was just more of a secretive one. It was a shadow that has a forever changing shape." Dustleaf continued. Ivyfall listened with her ears pricked up, all of her scences making sure she heard ever little detail spoken to her. Lightningstar needed to know this.
