Disclaimer: I still do not own anything. Surprise!
A/N 1: WOW, we exceeded the 100-review threshold. My first time! THANK YOU !
We are getting closer to the Lewis trial, my lovely readers. Let's hope Rolivia can pull through. ;)
I've been writing the original chapter 10, but then this one popped up in my head. I got a promotion this week and it inspired me to write this. A small, drabbly interlude before the really juicy stuff starts. :D
Enjoy!

Chapter 10
"When I first saw you, I knew I'd be loving you. What I didn't foresee is you'd be all I need. See, I thought I'd been in love, but now what I'm sure of is that I've never felt this way."
Amanda was casually perched against her desk, phone in hand in order to pretend that she had something to do, while in reality her eyes were flitting from the time on her phone, telling her that their shift had just ended, and back to her girlfriend in the Captain's office.
The blonde tried not to be too obvious about staring at her love, which is why she had barely seen anything that was going on behind this closed door, even though she would peek in every now and then.
Deciding after a while that she might as well tattoo I love Olivia Benson to her forehead if she kept standing there, she sat back down, pushing some files around on her desk, pretending that she was deeply immersed while she clicked with the pen in her hand, waiting for her girlfriend to finish her meeting with their boss.
When the door opened ten minutes later, Amanda looked up, a smiling brunette exiting the office, "Walk me out, Rollins?"
Pressing her lips together in a thin line in order to not laugh, the blonde nodded, "Sure thing, Liv."
Grabbing her red leather jacket from the back of her chair, Amanda slipped it on and gathered her things, ready to get home and curl up on the couch with her girl.

Olivia unlocked the door to her apartment, letting herself and Amanda inside, Frannie happily bounding in after them after an exciting day with the dog sitter.
Both women stripped their jackets off, their boots discarded at the front door, and made their way further in when the blonde felt a light tug at her hand. Olivia spun the smaller woman around to pull her into her arms, sealing her lips with a slow, open-mouthed kiss that had both of them gasping, the brunette's tongue languidly slipping into Amanda's mouth and walking her over to the sofa.
When the edge of the couch hit the back of her legs, the blonde sat down and let Olivia straddle her lap, their kiss never broken. With her hands tentatively coming down on the brunette's thighs and sliding up to her waist, mindful of not startling the other woman, she let herself be kissed thoroughly, Olivia's tongue exploring freely and making her feel dizzy.
When oxygen became a necessity, the two women broke apart, their breathing slightly ragged as Olivia rasped into the air between them, "God, I've been waiting for this all day."
Nuzzling the older woman's nose with her own, Amanda squeezed full hips affectionately, "Me too, Baby.
Olivia leaned in and reconnected their lips, pushing the blonde into the cushions a bit more, Amanda's head tilting back and resting it against the back of the couch as her girlfriend's lips descended her neck, a hot tongue trailing along her pulse point. Over the last month, ever since they had bared themselves to each other for the first time, the brunette had gradually gotten bolder when it came to their intimacy and Amanda had let her explore. Nothing had happened between them yet, but the blonde enjoyed how the other woman had opened up to her a little more, Amanda content with the way things were developing between them. As the days went by, every touch became a little more lingering, every kiss a little deeper, tongues and hands equally probing and traveling, knowing their limits and always checking in if everything was okay. Their make-out sessions left the women highly strung but happy, both of them knowing that neither of them was ready to go all the way yet.
They parted once again, Olivia brushing Amanda's lower lip with her thumb, "God, I love you."
Kissing the pad of the other woman's finger lightly, the blonde smiled, "I love you too, Liv."
They stared at each other for a few long moments when Olivia took Amanda's hands on her hips into her own and started playing with the other woman's fingers, deep in thought.
The blonde let her before asking softly, "Everything okay with Cragen, Liv? You spent quite a while in his office."
Olivia hesitated for a moment, biting her lip, before her face split into a giddy grin, "I passed the Sergeant's exam. Number forty-eight. That's why Cragen called me into his office. He got the results today."
Amanda sat with her mouth agape for a moment, staring at her girlfriend in wonder, but then matched the bright smile with her own, wrapping her arms tightly around her love's curves, "Congratulations, Baby. I am so proud of you!"
Sealing the blonde's lips with another soft kiss, Olivia breathed, "Thank you, darling. I'm not sure what that means yet, but I'm quite excited."
Tucking a loose chestnut curl behind the other woman's ear, Amanda beamed, "So am I. We have to celebrate."
With another gentle kiss to the blonde detective's lips, Olivia climbed off of her lap and made her way into the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge in search for a bottle of white wine while Amanda got the glasses out, smiling softly and squeezing the other woman's arm when she walked back into the living area and set the glasses down on the coffee table.
Uncorking the bottle with a gentle flop, Olivia took the wine cooler made her way around the kitchen island and back to her girlfriend to pour them both a glass. The brunette curled up on one end of the sofa, gently patting the space between her legs, indicating for Amanda to join her. The blonde obliged, scooting closer and leaning back into the other woman's arms and turning her head with a soft gleam in her eyes. They clinked glasses and smiled, cerulean orbs locked onto chocolate as the two women each took a sip, Amanda settling back against her girlfriend's chest, hyper aware of the bulbous breasts that were pressing into her upper back, but content to just cuddle up with the brunette and enjoy the rest of the night, celebratory over the huge success of Olivia now being Sergeant Benson.

Two glasses of wine later, a comfortable silence had fallen over the two women, both feeling warm and fuzzy with the knowledge that they were with the one they loved. Amanda, however, soon started chewing her bottom lip, unsure if bringing up this topic was the right thing to do as she did not wish to ruin the mood. Contemplating her options, the blonde decided that it would probably be the best idea to just get her question out there in order to voice her concerns.
Taking a deep breath, Amanda leaned her head back and pressed a tiny kiss to her girlfriend's neck, making the brunette's breath hitch, "Liv, do you think we should talk to the Captain? About us, I mean? I think it could be a conflict of interest that we are in a relationship with you now outranking me."
Squeezing Amanda's smaller frame gently in her arms, Olivia featherlightly kissed her girlfriend's earlobe before responding, "I don't think it will be an issue, Baby. They probably won't let me stay at SVU anyway, as all new sergeants are usually transferred as soon as they assume their position."
The thought that she would not be seeing her love at work anymore had not even yet occurred to Amanda and it made her heart twinge lightly, "So we wait and see where this road takes us?"
Olivia tucked her nose behind the blonde's ear and sighed, tightening her hold on her girlfriend slightly, "Yes, we do. And no matter where it takes us, I'll be happy to walk this road as long as I'll be walking it with you."
Pressing her lips together, Amanda suppressed her smile, "You know that this was an incredibly cheesy thing to say, right?"
The brunette laughed and kissed the blonde's cheek, "Yes, I do. And you love it."
Peeking up at Olivia, Amanda reconnected their lips in a chaste kiss, "Yes, I do."

A/N 2: Thanks for reading.
I know this was very short, but I said in the beginning that it was "drabbly". :)
I hope you enjoyed this little interlude – coming up is "Rapist Anonymous" and we are going down the path of angst.
The quote in the beginning is taken from the song First Time by Macy Gray.
Reviews are love.
Until next time, my darlings.
