... Well, this is severely awkward...

I don't really know how to apologize to a bunch of amazing people that I've never met before, but here goes nothing. I am so sorry if you were waiting for an update for the past what is it... eight months... maybe nine..? I'm not entirely sure, but it has been a while. Seriously though, I just wanted to thank all of the amazing people who are still hanging in there and I really hope that you don't hate me too much. I got caught in a rough place...fandom-speaking. I was torn between my new love of Supernatural and Teen Wolf and Doctor Who as well as keeping a very large interest in our favorite show, TVD.

TV: Watch out for the angels, Cas!? Weeping Angels, Doctor? No! God Dammit, Isaac!

Me: (backs away slowly)

And that was pretty much it. Anyways, here it is, the way overdue newest update of Growing Pains. I hope you enjoy, if you do leave a review and if you don't then tell me how to make it better. I really would appreciate the criticism.

[Disclaimer: Nope. Don't own it. Just Levy]

Chapter Ten:

Levy hadn't caught onto the conversation that Stefan was having, but it sounded like he was attempting to strike a deal. Much help that would be, he already pissed off Nik once it was very rare that you do that twice in one lifetime. Mainly because after the first time, you die, but let's keep optimistic here.

Then Nik hit Elena. Levy blurred over to her as Elena cradled her face in her hands. "Hitting women, Nik. Very caveman-like of you," she growled ready to rip out his throat. Instead she saw the Ripper charge at him ready to kill him. He was still in love with her...

"She means nothing to you?" Niklaus asked faking his surprise, "Your lies just keep piling up." Stefan's eyes were wide as Nik caught him by his throat. "Just let her go. I'll do whatever you want, you have my word," he plead.

"Your word doesn't mean much. I've had to live by your word all summer, during which I never had to resort to this," he said slowly dilating his pupils to prepare for his compulsion.

Two dead bodies and a traumatized Elena later, Nik called Levy over to his seat on the bleachers. She stood rigidly in front of him not understanding why he wanted to talk to her. He smirked at her grabbing her arm at a lightning speed.

She looked away from his eyes, flickering her gaze over every area of the gym… anywhere but his eyes. When he pulled her closer to him, she could feel the intensity of his eyes on her. "Look at me or else I'll rip open your jugular," he threatened, "Just need to do some fool-proofing."

"Me being the fool," Levy said quietly to herself earning a small chuckle from him.

"I suppose so," he said quietly paying no attention to Stefan and Elena behind him as she opened her eyes. His pupils dilated and she was immediately under his spell. "You are not going to try and run anymore. Not until I say you can, but of course you'll be dead before then."

I will not run, she thought robotically. She sat down obediently as he walked over to Elena. "It's always nice to see a vampire in his true element. Species has become such a broody lot," he told he softly as the Ripper finished off another one of his victims.

"No you did this to him," Elena said angrily challenging him. Stupid girl.

"I only invited him to the party love, he's the one dancing on the table," Nik said looking away from Elena to Levy. She suppressed the urge to flick him off knowing that it would only grant her another snapped neck. He smiled at her almost requesting approval, but she only rolled her eyes.

She saw his shoulders move up and down indicating that he was laughing at her. This hybrid freak was actually laughing at her. "I'd hardly call that dancing on the table. More like streaking. You'd know a lot about that wouldn't you, Nik?" she lashed out making him glare at her.

His eyes suddenly softened at her. She held his blue eyes with her own hazel ones. The memory was clear in her mind and before she knew it she was drifting off down memory lane.

"You hate swimming," Nik said unamused at her. Alevia's impulsive need to go swimming under the waterfalls was obviously irritating him, but they would go anyway seeing that he couldn't say no to her. She batted her eyelashes at him. "Please Nik," she begged.

He shook his head at her earning himself a frown. "Bekah would go with me," she pointed out. Then just like that the object of her argument waltzed in with their brother. Kol wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and spun her around in a circle before lightly setting her back on her feet.

"What would Bekah do exactly?" Kol asked whispering in her ear. Niklaus glared at his younger brother knowing that he was only trying to irritate him by being particularly intimate with his Alevia.

"Nik won't come swimming with me. It's rather frustrating because all he does is sketch pictures all day. That is when we aren't in-" Alevia cut herself short feeling the blush rise to her cheeks at what the information she was about to give away. Niklaus looked at her smugly while she noticed that the arms around her waist tightened.

"Well, I'll go with you," Kol agreed finally. She turned around in his arms to face him, her eyes shining. Rebekah noticed the affectionate tone that her brother took with Alevia and it bothered her at the fact that she was so oblivious to his love.

"Really?"

"Truly," he said smiling down at her. And when he thought that she wasn't looking he shot over a smirk to his brother. Alevia hit him for that. "Don't be a pest, Kol," she warned.

Alevia looked over to Niklaus, "Are you sure that you don't want to come?" However, Kol spun her around and walked them both to the door without casting Nik a second glance. When they opened the door Nik was already there with his jacket off. "Let's go."

"Bekah?" Alevia called out. Before she could answer both men grabbed her. "No," they said in unison. Then they ran off to the waterfalls.

Grinning both brothers stripped off their shirts. Kol walked into the water and looked back to his brother, who was grabbing the dress and helping Alevia out of it. Before she could run into the water, Niklaus grabbed her and planted butterfly kisses on her shoulders. He made his way up to her neck before the sound of Kol's small groaning made her realize that they weren't here alone.

"Nik…" she complained looking pointedly in Kol's direction. Kol looked up at them scowling at his brother. "Oh, don't stop on my account," he sneered.

"We won't," he growled into her skin. Alevia rolled her eyes and pushed Nik off of her. He looked offended and started to walk to her again. This time she pushed him into the water. She watched him go down with a big splash and it made her grin mischievously. He narrowed his eyes at her. "I don't see why I'm the only one nearly naked here," Alevia laughed.

Both men quirked their eyebrows up and quickly stripped off their pants. It left them only in their trousers. Grinning she grabbed their pants and the rest of their clothing and ran. "ALEVIA!"

She ran back to the house and Rebekah let her in. The witch that they compelled earlier was already working on the spell to keep them out. By the time that they reached the house the spell was in full effect, her and Bekah were waving at them from the safe side of the door.

Giggling at the sight of them soaking wet in only their trousers. It was a memory that not even they could compel her to forget.

Snapping back to reality by Niklaus roughly grabbing her arm from the bleachers. "Time to go, love," he commanded grabbing her. Rebekah had entered the gym again and this time she had blood trickling down the side of her mouth.

Levy looked over to the center to see Elena holding her neck while keeping all of her attention to her love, Stefan. She felt guilt pool in her stomach. While she was tuning out, Elena had gotten hurt despite what she promised Damon.

Once the three were out of the gym, Rebekah looked over to her and smiled warmly, "Hello Alevia." Strangely enough she was being nicer.

"Well, someone is obviously in a better mood," she commented. Rebekah was nearly skipping with joy. Niklaus only groaned at her, "It's because the doppelganger is going to die. Giving her an eternity of love with Stefan. Rubbish."

"Well, I'm not the only one who believes in an eternity of love," Bekah said looking pointedly at Levy. Both Nik and her stopped walking to stare at her. His hand was still holding her arm. "Leave," Klaus said unsmiling.

She nodded and before Bekah completely walked away she sang out, "Sexual tension." Levy almost wanted to snap her neck herself. Of course, she should be afraid of this man who threatened her death, but she couldn't bring herself to be.

Whether she wanted to believe it or not, she used to be in love with him. So in love, that sometimes the rest of the world didn't matter when they were together, and it irritated his family to no end. But that was then, and this is now where Klaus wanted to kill her for 'hurting his feelings'.

Shockingly he released her arm and turned her to him. They were completely alone in the hallway and this was it, when he would kill her. "So this is it then?" she asked him. Confusion flashed across his face. He shook his head.

"Were you thinking of the time you stole our clothes?" he asked simply out of the blue.

"Yes," she admitted not looking at him. He grabbed her taking her face in his hands. She kept her eyes on the ground knowing that he was no stranger to compulsion. "Look at me," he demanded.

Reluctantly she looked up to him. She was surprised at how close he was to her. His face was merely inches from her own. His blue eyes would be boring their way into her soul, had she still possessed one. Without thinking, she brushed some of his short hair away from his forehead. "You've cut it," she accused softly wishing to steer their conversation in a different direction.

He nodded backing away slightly, but not taking his eyes off of her. "Katerina would have liked it," she said softly looking away from him. "Do you?" he asked just as soft.

"It's just hair, Nik. Here I am thinking that Rebekah and Kol were the narcissistic ones of your family," Levy said taking his hands from her face and walking to where Bekah had disappeared to. He was in front of her within seconds making her inwardly groan.

"I've been looking for you for a very long time," he commented holding out his arm for her to take. She walked past it and continued down the unfamiliar corridor wishing that she knew her way around this school.

"Sorry if the death threats you gave me if I'd ever leave made me think twice about sending a post card after I left," she snarked at him putting up her figurative wall again. He grabbed her by her waist with one hand, stopping her. He trailed a finger down her side with his free hand making her shiver, but not in the fearful way that she should have.

"Now why would I kill you?" he growled low into her ear, "There are other uses for you, sweetheart." Then almost possessively he grabbed her around her midriff and pulled her closer to him. She could barely breathe with him being so near.

He leaned his head down lower than her lips as his found her neck. Gently, his kisses trailed over a vein in her neck that had stopped pumping blood a long time ago. She swallowed loudly as he pressed himself against her. When had they gotten on a wall? Levy could feel her breathing hitch as he grabbed one of her legs to hook around his torso.

Nik's head worked slowly down her neck planting kisses as he went, lightly sucking each until she found that he was just above her un-beating heart. If she could still blush, the skin from her neck up would be red. This was a man that she was supposed to hate with her entire being, right? So why was she enjoying this. Before she even had the time to make sense of her feelings he pulled back. Feeling the absence of his lips on her skin made her eyes snap up to look at him. He walked away?

She watched his back as he continued to walk towards what she could only assume as a pool. Levy stood there alone in the hallway with the supposedly wrong feeling of heat blossoming from the pit of her stomach as a result of Nik's little demonstration.

He turned back to her showing off his best smirk, "Coming, love?"
