Hey guys (this is an update, no worries)
I didn't realize it's been 2 years since I updated this story D: But those who follow my other stories and read my A/N know that I just started college and I'm pretty busy. I chose art as my major so I've also been focusing on improving in that. I only have 2 classes but I already have a pile of homework ((´д｀)) I'm currently writing a 3 page essay; and although that's a pretty decent amount my teacher grades strictly. I thought I chose an easy going teacher ヽ(●ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ●)ﾉﾟ I'msodead
Anyways, you know my partner? GoldenFlame-Nalu? Well she's back! Finaaaalllyyyyy yay! Like I mentioned before (I think haahaa) Her computer's super old, around 15 years, and didn't allow her to come onto this website or google drive (where we type all this out together). Buuuut We finally got her a new computer! So now she's back in action. She's got 2 stories that she hasn't updated in like 2 or 3 years . [good job haha]
So sorry for the super really late update. I thought I posted this a couple [lots] of months back but apparently it's been sitting in my drive for a while . I mentioned as well that this would be on hiatus but seeing as she's back I think I'll be able to update, though maybe really slowly eep. We'll see.
Alright then here we go [Chapter may have grammatical errors as I haven't been able to go through it also it's pretty short Dx]
" Levy?" Natsu called eagerly.
" Relax Natsu, It's almost finished." Levy replied opening a book and flipping through the pages. " All we need is your fire, and a small spell." She held up the object. " Light the flame here."
Natsu did as told, Levy placed the object on the table and spoke the spell to complete it. She held it up smiling, pulling at the ribbon that tied her hair back, allowing it to fall down around her shoulders. " Here you go. It's all done now."
" Thanks! Levy!" Natsu cheered retrieving the object from her hands. " Gajeel told me you were the best with these kind of things!"
Levy blushed and turned around in her chair, " H-he did, did he…"
" Yup! "
" So, Natsu. I've never really had a conversation with you yet. How'd you come to be in this school?"
" Oh well," Natsu raised a hand behind his head and scratched the back of his head thoughtfully, " Jii-chan threw me in."
Levy giggled, " Sounds like him. Where did you come from?" Natsu met her eyes before looking down at the floor hesitantly. " O-or, if you don't want to talk about it…."
" How long have you been here?" Natsu asked her, avoiding the question.
" Hmm… Well, since the beginning of the year of course. My family is in another country so I'm here by myself. Anyway, what's that for?" She asked pointing to Natsu's object which he held in his hands.
" For protection."
" I know. I made it," Levy said rolling her eyes, " I mean, who's it for? "
Natsu, without realizing it, heated up, his face darkening. Levy noticed this and giggled. " Alright, I won't ask anymore. Now go. I want to finish this book" She shooed Natsu out.
Lucy sat alone in her room, flipping through pages of a book. It was an old album. Her father only had one self picture, and he was only in one Family picture. The rest was just her mother and her. Lucy sighed and closed the book. Sunday finally came, yesterday was the best, so today she planned to stay away from her father and the one that she and Natsu had met that one night. Not that she'd know if they were around or not.
Going on a group quest again would be great right about now. With them Lucy felt safer. Sooner or later though, she needed to make sure her father got her message.
"Lucy~ " Natsu chimed, flying in through her window.
"N-Natsu! Why the window?" She yelped, dropping her book.
"Well you're door was locked," He replied,"But the windows open!"
Lucy sighed, "So did Erza find a quest for us to do today?"
"Yeah. That and I have a little something for you." He said with a smile. He dug around in his pocket and pulled out the golden chained necklace. The pendant was a red glass heart adorned with gold swirls. Lucy let out a small gasp and reached out for the object.
"A necklace?"Natsu allowed her to take it and watched as she inspected the small item."Wow, it's beautiful; but why?"
"Well, it's not just any old necklace ya know." He reached for it, unclasping the chain, and placed it around her neck,"Do you see this?" He pointed at the red glass. Lucy grasped the heart and stared at it. There was a light shining through it making an orange hue in the center. It was warm.
"Is that...fire?"
"Yup, my dragon fire. It'll go out if either of us is in extreme danger. If you feel a cold sensation suddenly and the flame is out, you'll know."
"But what about you?"
Natsu grinned,"I can feel it. It's my flame after all...and well, it's sort of magicked. Levy helped out."
"I'll have to thank her as well. Thank you Natsu, that's really kind of you. I love it!"
Natsu gave a light chuckle,"Well let's hope nothing bad happens."
She nodded,"Now, about that quest you mentioned."
"Well I don't really know about it since I've been busy with Levy but we're leaving in a few minutes. So I guess we should leave and get briefed on the mission." He gripped her hand and hauled her off the bed. Before he could walk over to the the window to leave however, Lucy pipped up.
"How about we take the door like normal human beings?"
Natsu laughed and replied,"Right."
Erza was waiting at the train station- half of her house behind her(You know the luggage xD)- along with Gray. It was around twelve when Natsu and Lucy dashed through the crowd and collapsed in front of them.
"You're late! Both of you!" Erza spoke, her face contorted with anger. Natsu squeaked, his breath hitching in his throat.
"Sorry Erza," Lucy panted watching Natsu choke on his spit,"We thought you guys were at school so we headed there first. We didn't know you'd both be at the train station."
Erza calmed and gave a small smile, nodding slightly,"Apology accepted. It's partially my fault I suppose. I'll be sure to let you know next time."
Lucy smiled.
"So what's this quest about?" Natsu spoke up, clearing his throat.
"There's a summoner in the next town over. Apparently he got a handful of goblins to attack and steal some valuables. I was thinking if we stop the summoner then we stop the goblins."
"Alright then! If that doesn't work we'll beat the crap outta all them goblins." Natsu exclaimed, pounding his fists together.
Erza nodded and entered the train with Lucy right behind her.
"Yo Gray what happened to your face? It's hideous." Natsu asked his eyes sparkled in amusement.
"What happened?You set Erza on me that's what happened!" There was a dark purple bruise along the right side of his jaw.
"Oh, I forgot!" Natsu laughed,"but I guess you were right about her,"
"Right? She's more frightening than a demon." Gray shivered. Natsu nodded.
"Well then, Let's go."
The second Natsu stepped into the train he slumped over and groaned. He stumbled over to a seat and plopped himself down next to Lucy, while Erza and Gray sat on the opposite side.
"Motion sickness?" Lucy asked.
Gray nodded,"Seems like it. Dude that sucks."
"How...long is the...trip?" Natsu gasped, trying not to barf.
"About 3 hours." Erza replied.
"But I thought It was...erp... the town over. Aw man I feel like shit."
"Dude the train hasn't even moved yet." Gray muttered.
"The train has to take another path. Apparently the roads blocked."
Natsu groaned and leaned his head against Lucy's shoulder, who surprisingly didn't mind one bit.
"Well, this is going to be one agonizing ride for you isn't it?" she murmured, pulling him down so that his head rested on her lap. She's only known the guy for a while now, but she was pretty comfortable around him. That she had figured out back when her dad burst into her house.
I don't remember if I mentioned his motion sickness already D: Sorry this is shorter than I thought it would be. But I'll definitely be updating this whenever I get. I'm not planning on abandoning it, that's not how I roll. It might be once a month like my other one was suppose to be (Although my beta is a little to busy to go over it so It's going to be late as well. Though I don't blame them b/c I am too haha)
