(A/N: So guys, I've been thinking during Spring Break, and I've come up with an idea, There's some ideas from this fanfic that I'd like to use for a story of my own. Sort of like how the book "50 Shades Of Grey" was based off a Twilight fanfic, you know? Now, I know I have some fans of this fanfic, so I was wondering, would you guys read that novel? It won't have anything to do with Carrie, of course, but it will have Amineko. Leave your feedback in the comments or a PM :D)
Chapter 9
(Carrie's P.O.V.)
"What do you think you're doing?" Mama's quiet voice said as I searched my closet for a prom dress.
I turned to her. I felt my heart racing. Despite my growing attitude against her, Mama still worried me. But I had to be brave; after 16 years of abuse, I wasn't having it anymore.
"I'm looking for a dress for prom," I said in an equally quiet voice.
"You're not going to prom," said Mama, stepping into my room. "I've been letting you get away with this. I thought it was a phase, a test of my patience by God. I thought he sent a demon in you to make you act so rebellious. Well, my patience is starting to run thin, so I think I'll get rid of those demons, and make you an obedient girl again."
Mama came closer to me.
"Come, Carrie," she said, extending her hand. "We're going to rid you of those demons. We're going to the Prayer Closet."
Mama grasped my hand, and I immediately yanked back.
"No," I said defiantly.
But Mama wouldn't back down so easily. She advanced on me, her hands grabbing at my arms. I struggled.
"Let go of me!" I snapped, but Mama replied with by striking me in the face.
"This is for you're own good, Carrie. I will free you from those demons."
I glared at my mother, fed up. I pushed her roughly, making her back away from me. With the courage inside me, I decided to stand up to Mama once and for all.
"No, Mama, no," I said firmly. "I've had enough of this. I'm going to prom, and giving myself one night of happiness."
"Carrie-" Mama began.
"No!" I snapped. "Now just leave me alone!"
Before Mama could speak another word, I pushed her out of my room, closed the door, and pulled the heaviest thing I could in front of it so Mama would stay out. After that, I paused. My hand was on my chest, and I felt my racing heart. Did I really just do that? What was I thinking?
"Carrie-chan?" whispered Amineko's voice in my head. "Are you alright?"
"Ami?" I thought as I returned to searching for a dress. "Yeah, I'm alright. Why?"
"I could sense distress coming from you. Do you need me to come inside? I've just arrived outside your house."
"Don't worry, Amineko," I reassured. "If you'd like, you can help me get ready."
In an instant, Amineko was in my room, a wide smile on her face.
"I will make you look beautiful," she told me, and I chuckled slightly.
I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror. My hair, once untamed, was now combed down and pretty. I wore a long, pink dress that hugged my body well. I found myself blushing, and looked away. But then Amineko's hand caressed my cheek. I looked up at her, and she gazed into my eyes.
"You look beautiful, Carrie-chan," she cooed.
I leaned into her hand, smiling at her. "Thank you, Ami," I replied.
"I want you to have fun tonight, and to be safe. You be careful with that Tony, ok? I...I worry about you."
"I'll be fine," I promised. "Besides, you'll be by my side in a flash if I need you, right?"
Amineko smiled.
"Of course."
Her hand ran through my hair, and her eyes were full of so much love. Amineko kissed my cheek tenderly, and I accepted it.
"Carrie-chan...I-"
A knock at the door interrupted Amineko, and she pulled away from me, a sad look in her eyes. I looked at her, asking her to continue. But she only smiled at me.
"You should go," said the woman. "I'll see you later, then"
I nodded, before heading to the front door. There stood Tony, dressed in a suit, and giving me a polite smile. My heart skipped a beat; he was very handsome...
"This year's prom queen is...Carrie White!"
I walked onto the stage to receive my crown and flower bouquet as my fellow students applauded. I was prom queen. Never had I expected such a glorious award, never have people cheered in my honor. Tonight had been amazing, but now...things were getting so much better. Was this it? Was being elected prom queen my chance of finally getting more respect in the school? Who knows, but if that was the case, then this was the beginning of a decent end of the school year for me.
Suddenly, all that changed.
Blood. Blood was all over me. The laughs that followed soon after were deafening. Tony was now lying beside me, a bucket next to his head. Was that all this was? Some cruel prank? Not even this one night was I allowed complete happiness? I stood there, still in shock from the moment. But the laughter slowly brought me into anger and misery.
"Amineko," I thought. "I need you. Now."
Soon enough, Amineko's arms wrapped around my torso, and her body pressed against mine.
"Carrie-chan," her voice whispered in my ear, interrupting the continuing sounds of laughter. "What have they done to you, my sweet?"
"They've hurt me for the last time," I said, anger seeping into my voice. "I can't take this anymore. They've ruined my life."
Amineko hugged me, before letting me go. She stood at my side, before addressing the rest of the students.
"Quiet, all of you!" she shouted.
The laughter continued. Amineko glared down at them.
"I said quiet! This is not a joke, you sick monsters!"
Her efforts were futile.
"Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!"
Amineko grew larger in size as rage took her over. I wasn't going to stop her. My peers needed to be taught a lesson, and only Amineko could teach them.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!
All was silent after that. Beside me was Amineko in her large, rabbit-like form. She towered over everyone, her head almost touching the school's ceiling. Her brown, pupil-less eyes were filled with hatred. Her huge hind paw stepped forward, crashing into the ground with a massive thud. Whimpers of fear escaped the other students, and they staggered back. Amineko then turned to me, giving me an expectant look. I felt myself smirk.
"Let's tear this horrible place down," I said in the silence.
The giant creature reached down with a massive fore-paw, and I climbed on. After she rested me on her shoulder, Amineko lifted her paws. Sudden;y, he slammed her paws into the ground, and the whole room shook. A great crack formed in the ground, and students fell into the darkness below with screams of terror. Finally, the entire prom turned to chaos. Everyone rushed to escape the building. Amineko ignored them, instead, smashing through the wall of the school, and walking towards the neighborhood. Now we needed to take care of another pest: Chris.
