Authors Note: Hey everyone, Here is the second part to the revamp Green Candle Arc. Now about the first half of this chapter is close to the episode itself but other than that it is completely revamp. Also thanks goes out to Kenn Faith Dawn and Emolichic1 for giving me two great story ideas for me to write for future series and as a reminder to all of you if you have a story idea you want me to write then share them with me and if it meets my requirements which is listed in my BIO then I will consider it. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Enter the Green Ranger
Chapter Ten: The Green Candle Pt. 2
Meanwhile back inside the Command Center
We were all trying to figure out what to do.
"Zordon is there any way we can save Paul's Powers?" Kimberly questioned
"Yes there is one way." Zordon stated
"How?" Zack wondered
"One of you will have to travel to Goldar's Dark Dimension and get the Green Candle." Zordon told us
"How do I get it?" I inquired
"You don't Paul, your presence will only make the Candle burn faster." Zordon informed me
"I'll go then." Jason stated
"No way man it's too risky." I told him
"Look it makes sense other then Kimberly, your father, and you, I am the only other Ranger that has ever been there." Jason mentioned
"Jason is right Paul it could be our only chance." Dad stated
"And Jason speaks for all of us man." Zack mentioned putting a hand on my shoulder
"Thanks guys." I thanked them
We then hear a beeping sound.
"What's going on?" Trini inquired
"The computer has locked onto some leftover energy that was left in the park from when they had capture Kimberly." Alpha informed us
"So what does that mean?" Zack wondered
"It means we found a doorway into Goldar's Dark Dimension." Billy stated
Meanwhile back inside Goldar's Dark Dimension
Goldar continues to watch the Green Candle burn.
"Soon the flame on this Candle will burn and the Green Ranger Powers will belong to you once again Empress." Goldar informed Rita
Meanwhile back inside Rita's Palace
"Good Goldar now I need to find another monster seeing as how Cyclops has been defeated." Rita mentioned
"Maybe I can be of service to you my Queen." A voice told her
Meanwhile back inside the Command Center
Billy was holding two different devices.
"What are these?" Kimberly inquired
"Devices that will allow Jason to enter Goldar's Dark Dimension from the point where you were taken Kimberly." Billy told her
"Thanks for doing this man." I thanked Jason
"You're one of us man." Jason told me as we clasp hands
The others except for dad and I teleported out of the Command Center.
"Good luck guys." I muttered
Meanwhile back inside Rita's Palace
"Good to see you again Shock Wave but you think you have a chance at beating the Rangers especially the Gold Ranger?" Rita questioned
"Believe me my Queen Gold Ranger doesn't stand a chance against me now he will finally meet his end." Shock Wave told her
"Good but first let's see where the other Rangers are up too." Rita stated
Rita then looks into her telescope and sees Jason, Trini, Kimberly, Zack, and Billy at the park.
"Ah just as I predicted they are trying to retrieve the Green Candle, Goldar prepare for some company." Rita called out
"Yes my Queen." Goldar said in her head
Rita then turns towards Shock Wave.
"Now go and lure the Gold Ranger out." Rita ordered
"Yes my Queen." Shock Wave stated
Shock Wave then disappeared.
"Soon the Gold Ranger will be history along with the Green Ranger then the other Rangers shall fall. HAHAA!" Rita stated laughing evilly
Meanwhile back in the park
Kimberly's POV
Jason, Zack, Trini, Billy, and I arrive at the park to where the Putties had capture me earlier.
"Kim, is this where they had capture you earlier?" Jason inquired
"Yeah this is the spot." I confirmed
Meanwhile below the hill of the park with Bulk and Skull
Down below a hill from the Rangers Bulk and Skull were acting like jungle animals when Skull spotted the five Ranger teens up on top of the hill.
"Hey, those goody goods are on the top of our hill." Skull mentioned
"Let's see what they are up to." Bulk stated
They then walk up towards the hill.
Back on top of the hill
Kimberly's POV
Trini and Zack were getting the devices in line with one another.
"Is this right Billy?" Trini inquired
Billy looked at both at them.
"Almost they need to be exactly Aldine." Billy told him
Back with Bulk and Skull
Bulk and Skull were trying to walk up the hill but Bulk was having a little problem.
"Hey give me a hand will you." Bulk demanded
Skull shrugged and grab Bulk's leg and help push him up the hill.
With the Ranger teens
Kimberly's POV
Billy was playing with one of the devices.
"How soon Billy?" Jason inquired
Billy then stands up.
"Well that should just about do it." Billy stated
"Alright let's firing these bad boys up." Zack stated
I then hear some weird noise.
"Wait do you guys hear that weird disgusting noise?" I wondered
"Yeah." The others confirmed now hearing it too
We then see Bulk and Skull walk up from a hill out of breath.
'Great talk about bad timing.' I thought to myself
"Hey you guys are in our private park." Bulk told us
"Yeah our private park." Skull repeated
"Actually guys this is a public park anyone can be here." Billy mentioned
"Yeah anyone but you geek so get going." Skull said pointing at him
Skull turns away for a moment and then turns back to Billy who hasn't moved in inch.
"Now." Skull added
Bulk nodded his head in agreement.
"Just leave us alone guys we have a lot of work to do." Trini mentioned
"Hey Bulk what are those things?" Skull wondered pointing towards the two devices
"I don't know let's find out." Bulk stated
"You can look but don't touch." Zack warned him
"No one tells me what to do." Bulk stated
Bulk then charges towards Zack but Zack quickly get's out of the way and over by a trashcan. Bulk turns around and charges for him again. Zack moves out of the way again and Bulk then lands head first in the trashcan and it tips over and begins to roll down the hill with Skull right behind him trying to stop it. We all look on from the top as it hits a tree.
Below the hill
Skull helps Bulk out of the trashcan and looks a Bulk who looks kind of green.
"Hey Bulky you don't look so good." Skull mentioned
"I don't feel so good." Bulk muttered getting ready to puke
Above the hill with the Ranger teens
Kimberly's POV
We all laugh at them.
"Never a dole moment with those two." Zack mentioned
"Yeah no kidding." Jason agreed
A few minutes later we reposition the devices and Billy turns them on.
"Zordon I'm going in." Jason said into the Communicator
"Good luck Jason, and let the power protect you." Zordon said through the Communicator
"Close the portal once I'm in." Jason told us
"Hey Jase, good luck man." Zack told him
"Thanks bro." Jason thanked him
Jason then walks into the portal and we shut it down.
Meanwhile back inside the Command Center
Alpha then walked up to dad and I.
"Jason has now enter Goldar's Dark Dimension." Alpha mentioned
"Good I just feel bad not being there with them. I stated
"Paul you must have faith in your friends and cousin." Zordon told me
I turn towards Zordon.
"I do Zordon, I know that Jason will be able to get the Candle." I stated
All of a sudden the Alarm goes off.
"What's going on Zordon?" Frank inquired
"We are receiving an unknown transmission." Zordon told us
"From who?" I wondered
"From me." A voice called out through the Viewing Globe
Alpha, dad, and I turn towards the Viewing Globe to see a Rhino with a lightning deform shape horn.
"Shock Wave." Dad muttered
'Shock Wave?' I thought to myself
"Ah so you do remember me Gold Ranger good I challenge you to a fight in five minutes in the mountain range just outside of Angel Grove and if you don't show up then I will destroy this planet." Shock Wave informed him through the Viewing Globe
The Viewing Globe then goes blank.
"I have to go." Dad stated
"No way dad it's too risky you're not healthy to go out there and fight." I mentioned
"I have to agree with Paul Frank your Ranger Powers could give out on you at any time during the battle in your condition the risks are just too great." Zordon told him
"It's a chance I'm willing to take to save the Earth Zordon." Dad told him
'Dad.' I thought to myself
"Very well Frank, I see that I can't stop you just use extreme caution when fighting Shock Wave." Zordon told him
"I will Zordon." Dad stated
I then walk over to dad.
"Dad I should go with you just to be on the safe side." I mentioned
"No if you Morph it could risk the Candle burning even faster." Dad stated
I nod.
"Good luck Frank and let the power protect you." Zordon told him
Dad nods.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" Dad yelled out
"GORILLAZORD!" Dad yelled out
After Morphing dad teleported out of the Command Center.
"Be careful dad." I muttered
Meanwhile in the mountains outside of Angel Gove
Shock Wave stood in a valley below the mountain tops when he saw Frank now Morphed teleport down.
"Ah Gold Ranger glad you could make it." Shock Wave greeted
"I see you didn't learn your lesson from our last battle." Frank mentioned
"You will pay dearly for what you did to me all those years ago." Shock Wave told him
"I like to see you try." Frank told him as he drew out Xavier
"Oh believe me Gold Ranger I will." Shock Wave stated bring out his own Sword
Shock Wave then charges in and Frank then blocks his first attack but Shock Wave kicks him in the chest sending him staggering back a few feet. Frank then rushes in and the two of them begin fighting again.
Meanwhile back inside Goldar's Dark Dimension
Jason walks through the portal then turns to see it disappear.
"Welcome back old friend." Goldar greeted
Jason turned around to look at Goldar standing next to the Green Candle.
"I'm not your friend Goldar and I came here for the Green Candle." Jason informed him
"Well then come and get it if you are brave enough." Goldar stated
Jason rushes in and extends his hand towards the Green Candle but Goldar grabs it and pushes Jason aside sending him to the ground.
"You'll have to better then that Red Ranger." Goldar taunted
Jason got back up and him and Goldar begin fighting again.
Meanwhile back in the mountains outside of Angel Grove
Frank and Shock Wave continue fighting but as the fight goes on Frank gets weaker.
"What's wrong Gold Ranger getting slow in your old and tired age?" Shock Wave asked
Frank then stands up gripping onto Xavier tightly.
"You'll never win Shock Wave." Frank stated
"Then let's continue." Shock Wave stated
The two then continue on fighting.
Meanwhile back inside the Command Center
Zordon, Alpha, and I watch on as dad fights a losing battle against Shock Wave.
"Ayi, yi, yi, yi, yi! Frank is fighting a losing battle he needs help." Alpha cried out
'That's it no more.' I thought to myself
I then turn towards Zordon.
"Zordon, I have to go and help my dad I just can't stand by and watch him lose like this any longer." I stated
"I agree Paul just be careful and may the power protect you." Zordon told me
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" I yelled out
"DRAGONZORD!" I yelled out
Meanwhile back in the mountains outside of Angel Grove
Frank is thrown to the ground landing on his back as he looks at the slowly advancing Shock Wave.
"Time to meet your end Gold Ranger." Shock Wave told him
Before he could get any further he was blasted to the ground, Frank looks up to see his son now Morphed.
Paul's POV
"Let's see how you do against me." I stated
"Paul, what are you doing here?" Dad questioned
"I'm here to help dad you are no good in your condition go back to the Command Center I'll handle rhino boy here." I stated holding my Dragon Dagger tightly in my right hand
"Like to see you try Green Ranger." Shock Wave challenged standing up
"Gladly." I stated
I then charge in and Shock Wave and I begin fighting each other.
"You fight well Green Ranger but it will be only a matter of time before you lose your powers for good." Shock Wave stated
"I don't think so I'm the Green Ranger and I will fight to protect the Earth with everything I have left in me." I stated holding my Dragon Dagger at the ready again
"Well then you have the honors Green Ranger." Shock Wave told me
I then come at him as we begin fighting again.
Normal POV
As Paul and Shock Wave keep fighting Frank watches on as he struggles to stand up.
"Paul, you truly have become like me, I guess I can rest easy now that you are a Power Ranger and are here to help protect the Earth." Frank muttered
Frank grabs Xavier and looks at it for a moment before putting it back in its holster.
"I know what I have to do." Frank muttered
Paul's POV
Shock Wave and I continue to trade blows but he then slashes his blade over my chest sending me to the ground.
'Man my powers are already fading but I have to keep going.' I thought to myself
"Say goodbye Green Ranger." Shock Wave stated
Shock Wave then points his sword at me and fires a beam at me.
"NOOO!" Dad shouted out as he steps in front of me taking the blast.
"DAD!" I cried out as he hits the ground
I quickly go over to him and lift his head up.
"Dad talk to me you got to be ok." I told him
"Paul..you need to carry on my legacy." Dad muttered as he grabs his Power Coin out of his Morpher and grabs my other hand and places it in it
"Dad." I muttered
All of a sudden I begin to feel more Power flowing through me.
Meanwhile back inside Goldar's Dark Dimention
Jason and Goldar are continue to trade blows when all of a sudden they see the Green Candle float up in the air.
"What's happening?" Goldar questioned in shock
'I'm wondering that myself.' Jason thought to himself
Meanwhile back in the park
Kimberly's POV
Zack, Trini, Billy, and I wait around waiting for Jason to return.
"I wish Jason would hurry up." I stated
"Let's give him a little bit longer." Billy mentioned
Our Communicators then go off.
"This is Zack we read you Zordon." Zack said into his Communicator
"Zack Frank was just injured in battle with an old enemy Shock Wave, you all need to retrieve Jason and get to the mountains outside of Angel Grove." Zordon said through the Communicator
"Uncle Frank." I muttered
"Right Zordon." Zack said into the Communicator
"Turn it on I'll go in and retrieve Jason." Zack mentioned
Billy and Trini activate the devices.
"Be careful Zack get Jason and yourself out of there safely." I told him
"Right." Zack stated
Zack then walked through the portal.
Meanwhile back inside Goldar's Dark Dimension
Zack then walks through the portal and walks over to Jason.
"Jason we have to get out of here." Zack told him
"Man what you doing here?" Jason questioned
"We have to go, Paul's dad was injured in a battle by one of his former enemies." Zack mentioned
Zack then notice the Green Candle floating in the air.
"What is happening with the candle?" Zack inquired
"Don't know it just started doing it a few seconds ago." Jason mentioned
All of a sudden the Green Candle disappears.
"What no." Goldar stated
"The Candle." Jason called out
"We don't have time Jason, Paul and his dad needs us." Zack told him
Jason nodded and the two of them enter the portal
Meanwhile back in the park
Kimberly's POV
We then see Jason and Zack walk out of the portal, Trini and Billy turns off the devices and we go to them.
"Jason the Candle?" I questioend
"I didn't get the chance to get it, it just disappeared." Jason mentioned
"What?" I wondered in shock
"We can worry later but we need to get to Paul and his dad." Billy mentioned
"You're right let's go." I agreed
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" Jason yelled out
"MASTODON!" Zack yelled out
"PTERODACTYL!" I yelled out
"TRICERATOPS!" Billy yelled out
"SABER-TOOTH TIGER!" Trini yelled out
"TYRANNOSAURUS!" Jason yelled out
Meanwhile back in the mountains outside of Angel Grove
Paul's POV
I stand up as I start to glow a combination of Green and Gold.
"What's happening?" I inquired
I then see a Green Candle appear in front of me. I then see the others appear as well.
"Paul what's happening?" Kimberly wondered
"I don't know." I admitted
The Candle then enters my chest disappearing, I then feel even more power flow through my body as I glow brightly.
"What is going on?" Shock Wave questioned
The light faded and I look at myself to see that my Green Ranger suit gain Gold stripes all around and a Coin with a Gorilla on it appeared in the center of the shield. Xavier then appears in my other hand where the Power Coin was.
"Whoa this Power is unreal." I muttered looking at myself
Just then, we see my dad demorph.
"Dad hang in there." I told him
"You now have a new Battle Mode, the Gorilla Battle Mode use it will son." Dad told me
"Stay with us dad, Alpha my dad has been hurt pretty badly please teleport him back to the Command Center." I said into my Communicator
"Right away Paul." Alpha said through the Communicator
Dad then gets teleported away I then grab the Dragon Dagger from the ground and turn to face Shock Wave.
"You're going to pay for this Shock Wave." I declared pointing my Dragon Dagger at Shock Wave
"You don't scare me Ranger." Shock Wave stated
I don't say anything and just charge in straight at him then both the Dragon Dagger and Xavier begin glowing, the Dragon Dagger Green and Xavier Gold. I then jump in the air slash down on Shock Wave in a 'X' formation. Sparks fly off of Shock Wave as he then hits the ground and exploded.
"That was for my father." I muttered
I then see the others run up to me.
"Paul you did it." Billy mentioned
"Yeah and your new Battle Mode is awesome bro." Zack told me
"Thanks come on let's get back to the Command Center I need to see how my dad is doing." I told them
"Right." Jason stated
The six of us then teleported back to the Command Center.
Meanwhile back inside Rita's Palace
"NO! I can't believe it the Green Candle merge with the Green Ranger and his father gave him his Power Coin for an added power." Rita cried out
"Not only that empress with the combine merger of the Green Candle and the Gold Power Coin it can never be taken away by the forces of evil again." Finster told her
"Shut up, I have such a headache." Rita cried out
"All is not lost Empress the Gold Ranger was badly injured." Goldar mentioned
"Ah you are right Goldar, not everything turned out badly after all." Rita stated with a smirk
Meanwhile back inside the Command Center
We teleported into the Command Center and Powered Down, I then rush over to my dad where Aunt Gina is by him.
"How is he?" I wondered looking at my dad
Aunt Gina looks at me with a grim look on her face.
"There's nothing I can do Paul, your dad doesn't have very long." Aunt Gina told
She puts a hand on my shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze before walking over to the others. I look at my dad's pale face as he slowly opens his eyes.
"Paul." Dad muttered
"Why did you do it dad?" I wondered
"I was dying no matter what and if that's the case then I rather had it be this way." Dad mentioned
"I don't want you to leave me dad." I told him as I could feel my eyes water up
"You will be ok son you have your cousin, Aunt Gina, the other Rangers, Alpha and Zordon to look after you." Dad told me
"Frank, you were a fine Power Ranger, words cannot express how much you meant to all of us you had went beyond the call of duty to insure the safety of the Earth and even though you will no longer be with us, your spirit will forever live on in all that is good we all shall miss you Frank." Zordon told him
Kimberly and Aunt Gina then come over to me Kimberly on the right and Aunt Gina on the right both putting a hand on my shoulder.
"We'll miss you big brother." Aunt Gina told him
"I'll miss you all too little sis." Dad told her
"Oh Ayi, yi, yi, yi, I'm going to miss you Frank." Alpha cried out
"Same here as well my friend and I'm counting on you to take care of my son sis." Dad stated
"You can count on it." Aunt Gina assured him
"You have nothing to worry about Frank, Paul is in good hands with your sister we all shall watch over him. Just rest in peace Frank and always know the power well always be with you and well protect you." Zordon told him
"Thanks Zordon and take care of yourself Paul. I love you son." Dad told me
"I love you too dad." I told him
Slowly dad's eyes closed shut and he we then see his chest stop moving.
"Dad." I muttered feeling the tears running down my face
Aunt Gina brought me into a hug and I hug her back as I cried. Kimberly begins to rub circles around my back.
"Everything will be ok sweetie." Gina whispered in my ear kissing my forehead
Later that day in the park
I just sit on ground staring into the pond thinking about what had happen today. I can't believe that dad is gone. First it was my mom, then my older sister, and now my dad. I dig out my dad's Power Coin he gave me in his last battle.
'Dad.' I thought to myself
I put it back in my pocket and continue to stare at the pond. I then feel a hand on my shoulder and turn around to see that it was Kimberly, Trini, and Billy.
"Hey guys." I greeted as I stood up
"How you holding up Paul?" Billy wondered
"I'm hanging in there." I told them
"Paul, mom wanted me to let you know that she is taken care of all the arrangements for your dad." Kimberly told me
"Thank's cuz." I told her
I look at Trini for a moment thinking about my feelings and about what Zack told me earlier.
'I have to ask.' I thought to myself
"Hey Trini, can I talk to you for a moment?" I wondered
"Yeah sure." Trini told me
The two of us then walk away from Kimberly and Billy.
Kimberly's POV
As Billy and I watch them walk a few feet away I gain a little smile.
'Just be yourself cuz.' I thought to myself
Paul's POV
Trini and I stop walking.
"Trini, I need to tell you something, something that I wanted to tell you since I moved to Angel Grove." I mentioned
"What is it Paul?" Trini wondered
'Here it goes.' I thought to myself
"Trini I love you." I told her
'There I said it.' I thought to myself
"You love me?" Trini inquired in shock
"Yes, ever since the day I first meet you, now I will understand if you don't have the same feelings for me, but I just..." I started to say but Trini interrupted me by kissing me passionately
At first I was shock by the move but I then quickly recover and kiss her back. We were like this for a few more moments before we broke apart and looked at each other. I was the first one to speck.
"So I take it that you have the same feelings for me then?" I wondered
"Yes, Paul I am in love with you too." Trini admitted to me
"So does this mean you and me are boyfriend girlfriend now?" I questioned already knowing the answer anyway
"Yes and what took you so long anyway." Trini wondered
"Wanted to wait for the right moment I guess." I replied laughing
'Well more like trying not to chicken out every time I try.' I thought to myself
We then kissed again.
"Trini, would you doing me the honor of being my date for the dance on Saturday night?" I inquired
"I would love to be your date for the dance." Trini informed me
We then kissed again then I spin her around happily with her laughing as I do.
Kimberly's POV
Billy and I smile at the sight before us.
'Good job cuz.' I thought to myself
I then feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to Billy.
"He'll be ok Kim." Billy assured me
"Yeah I know he will be Billy." I stated
What happens next surprises me as Billy leans in and starts kissing me passionately. I was in shock at this for a few seconds before I recover and kiss him back in return. A few moments later we stop and look at each other.
"I have always wanted to do that for a very long time but always have been scared of the outcome." Billy admitted
I then take Billy's hand.
"Billy you never have to be scared of telling me anything." I told him
"I don't?" Billy asked
"No and besides I always wanted that kiss from you too for while as well." I admitted
"Well in that case, well you accompany me to Saturday night's function?" Billy inquired
"Yes I would love to attend the dance with you Billy." I told him
Billy and I then share another kiss.
"I told you Billy." A voice told him
Paul's POV
Kimberly and Billy break the kiss and turns towards Trini and I holding hands.
"Yeah you did thank you Paul." Billy thanked me
"You're welcome my friend." I told him
"Come on let's head to the Youth Center." Trini stated
"Sounds good to me." I stated
"Yeah me to." Billy agreed
"Let's go then." Kimberly stated
The four of us then walk towards the Youth Center together me holding Trini's hand and Kimberly holding Billy's. Dad may be gone but I will never forget him and I will never be alone.
AN: Well there's the tenth chapter for this story. Hope you like the conclusion of the Green Candle arc. Also just as a reminder to keep in mind is that I won't be doing all the remaining episodes of season 1 for this story I am going to be doing only those that will fit this story plot and I plan on having Dooms Day as this version of season 1 finale like I am planning on doing for my Calling of the Dinosaurs story. Now I know that this Author's note is pretty much the same as before in a few of my other stories, but I feel that it is important that I keep it in place for the time being. Like I have stated before all updates on anyone of my stories will be extremely slow as I have my college class, my part time job, and me helping as a assistant coach for my old school's football team. Also there is still a poll up that involves the season three for my other Kim/Kat story please check it out and please I would really like to know what you have all voted or haven't yet please PM me with a reason why you voted for what you did vote for as I would like to know so that I can start thinking on which one to give Paul. Also I still have several different ideas for new story ideas but can't really make up my mind what to do. If you want to know what they are and help decide on one PM me and I will share them and you can give me some ideas but your ideas must be based on my reasons one it must include my main OC Paul as well as Kimberly being an important person in his life whether it be cousin sister or girlfriend, and last and most important if you have a pairing request for the story idea it must be the normal boy/girl or girl/girl as I am not really comfortable with writing or reading boy/boy pairings I have nothing against it but it's just that I am not comfortable with that kind of thing yet. Also I keep in mind people the more reviews I get for my stories the faster I might get to updating those stories if I manage to get eight on one story I will do my best to get a new chapter out as fast as possible for said story and also note that they must be in the review section not in the form of a PM for me to count it as a Review but if you do have any questions then feel free to PM me and plus remember they must be from eight different people. I don't me to sound like I am demanding but I would like to hear everybody's thoughts on my stories I know of two that will always share their thoughts on them but I would like to hear from more people as possible. Also I have been working on editing chapters of some of my other stories. I have recently just finishing editing my Shift Into Turbo story and I am now working on editing my A New Home, Gaining Ninja Powers story. Also I would like to let you all know I have posted a new poll and I would like you all to take a look at it as I need help with deciding on what story to focus more on after I complete the final chapter of Lone Wolf to which I plan on putting out either later tonight or sometime tomorrow. The Poll will stay open until late November at the latest. So please check it out and vote and tell me the reason you chose to vote for the story that you did.
