Chapter 10: A Nightmare Date

At the Konoha Morgue, Ducky was examining one of the most recent corpses. Recently a serial killer had been butchering the citizens of Konoha. The civilians were quick to blame Naruto but the most recent killing happened while Naruto was in Wave so that ruled him out.

Ducky was frustrated. Whoever did this knew what they were doing. They cleanly cut the limbs of the victim and there was no significant evidence pointing towards the killer. This was the sixth confirmed victim and there was still no leads. The citizens were in a panic and he was under pressure to find the killer.

Ducky sighed as he signed off on the coroner's report and sat down. He glanced over to see filing cabinet filled with ninja medical records. He opened one of the drawers and pulled out the file labeled 'Uchiha, Sasuke.'

He looked at the file and sighed. "The only survivor of a justified massacre. Why the populace insists on spoiling you is beyond me."

He looked at the picture of his face and for the first time he noticed something off about his genin picture. Taking a magnifying glass he looked at his cheeks. He noticed they were set higher almost like they were...feminine.

"Curious." He pulled out a photo of Sasuke from after the massacre and even though it was barely noticeable he could see the cheek bones set a little higher indicating the early stages of puberty. Ducky put down the glass and rubbed his chin

He then pulled out the other pictures of Sasuke. From Age 6 to when he graduated. He then matched up the files from those years. For the first three years there was normal development for a boy his age. Then the Massacre and then suddenly his weight dropped off. It should have had negative effects on his health but there were no reports of any physical abnormalities. Then there was something off around his age eleven photo. Instead of turning out to be like Fugaku the facial structure was almost like...Mikoto."

Ducky was so engrossed in the examination he didn't notice Jethro walk in.

"Duck?" Ducky returned to the physical world. "Your normally not this distracted."

Ducky sighed. "Sorry. I just signed off and was going through a file. There is something distinctly off about Sasuke." Ducky motioned him to the table. "The first three years Sasuke had a normal development for a boy his age. Then the massacre and it suddenly dropped off. The first year could be the trauma but to have the same consistent weight without ill effects disturbs be a little. And between you and me Sasuke is beginning to look more like his mother then his father.

Jethro chuckled. "Years must be getting to you duck. I mean Naruto has Kushina's cheeks and Hanabi has her father's hair color."

Ducky sighed. "I might be paranoid but I would like to talk to Itachi if possible."

Jethro walked away. "Do whatever take one of my team as backup Itachi may like the team but he has some PTSD so be careful?

Ducky nodded and went to scanning the file.

Two hours later found Ducky with Yuuske and Chosa knocking on the door of the Uchiha apartment. A few moments later Itachi opened the door.

"Dr. Kamo. This is a surprise. May I ask what you are doing here?"

Ducky cleared his throat. "I just thought I check on something relating to Sasuke. I figured you would know him the best."

Itachi stared at them and then moved out of the door way. The team noticed Itachi had his knife out which he put away.

After making some tea Itachi sat down. "So what would you like to know Dr. Kamo?"

Ducky got straight to the point. "I was examining Sasuke's medical records and a few curious things popped up. Can you tell me if Sasuke has been acting weird since the massacre?"

Itachi looked up at the ceiling. "Maybe not during the first year or so but in the last couple of years he has been extraordinarily been clingy. Especially when I bring a girl home like Ayame."

Yuuske looked at Itachi. "Brother complex I guess."

Itachi nodded. "I feel like I should have pushed for a psychological evaluation but the council would have disregarded it." He sighed and he mumbled. "I should have taken care of my siblings better."

Chosa though heard him as he was closer. "Siblings?"

Itachi was quickly behind Chosa and Yuuske had his gun out. Itachi growled and pressed his knife closer. Ducky stood up. "Itachi-san...did Mikoto have any other children besides you two.

Itachi looked at the agents and put the knife away. "Yes. It wasn't known but Sasuke had a twin sister. Fugaku did not like that he had what he called a useless daughter. I had to take of her away from the clan's eyes. Sasuke was always seen as the favored child.

The agents looked at each other and then excused themselves.

Itachi was now on his date with his girlfriend Ayame. She was the only thing that kept him sane and happy. He really loved her. They were eating at an outdoor restraint which was inspired by an old world theme called Italian. Some cooking and recipe were from the old world brought up from digs. Itachi wonder why women love going to these place he was just plain confuse. But that might be because he was raised to shinobi life way too quickly.

Meanwhile on a rooftop nearby Naruto was watching the date with stern eyes. Before he was resurrected Ayame and her dad were the only people that cared for him besides the Hokage. Itachi from what he learned was the one who cried over his death and nearly killed his dad for it. So to see him date his unofficial big sister was a little unnerving. But from what he could see Ayame was helping him. From what he could see Itachi had missed a lot like he had.

He had to smile as the two interacted. He decided to keep an eye out to make sure they were okay something was bugging him about tonight.

Itachi and Ayame food came as it was some kind of pasta as both of them decide to dig in. They ate the food at a leisurely pace. Both of them even took turn feeding each other. Itachi really felt at peace. Except for some odd reason, he just has a sense of doom, but he didn't know why he was experiencing that.

"You know I think your little brother doesn't like me at all?" Ayame commented.

"Sasuke will warm up to you it just have to take time that is all." Itachi replied as the sense of danger was getting stronger now.

"If you say so I just have this odd feeling he really hates me." Ayame said as she took a bite out of the pasta that Itachi fed to her.

An hour later the elder couple was walking back to Ichiraku's. Ayame had her arms around Itachi's left smiling at the closeness.

"I had a great time. Even with the awkwardness." Ayame said looking at Itachi. For the first time in a long time Itachi was seen flustered.

"Well...hehe. This was my first real date. I mean I was pushed for years by my father until I became an Anbu. I had no idea of any social situations or even girls. But something in you made me want to get to know you better.

Ayame giggled. "Then I am glad you found me appealing Mr. Anbu."

Itachi smiled a little bigger. "I am surprised Naruto allowed me to date you.

Ayame shook her head. "He has the best intentions. But if you show him you make me happy then I think he'll be fine."

Itachi laughed. "I wouldn't put it past him to be keeping an eye on us." On the rooftop Naruto sneezed through his mask.

Suddenly there was a figure standing before the couple. It was wearing a armored outfit and a disturbing Noh Mask. Itachi didn't know who this person was but he can sense a bloodlust coming off of it. But he was confuse where the strong bloodlust was focusing on until he took notice something about Ayame. She was paralyzed in terror.

"You leave her alone!" Itachi shouted as the mysterious figure pulled out an odd weapon. It looked like a disc. The figure threw it which then started glowing in a unearthly light as it headed for Ayame. Itachi quickly tackled her to the ground as the disc pass over then before cutting down a row of people blood spraying everywhere as there torso and body was turned to ash. The disc returned to the figure hand which put it away. 'He' then withdrew an odd sword that started to vibrate. The figure approached them when suddenly Naruto appeared right before the figure.

"I going to kill you." Naruto said as the figure then pull out an odd can. The figure flicked a pin off of it and threw it. As it hit the ground, it exploded sending Naruto flying backward crashing into the Ramen stand. Naruto quickly got out of the wreckage.

The figure then charged at Naruto with both their weapon. Naruto began slowly overpowering the figure when he kicked Naruto in the stomach hard. Naruto quickly pulled out his crossbow and fired but the figure dodged out of the way of the bolts. It then engaged Naruto yet again with it blade. Both of them coming to a standstill. The figure kicked Naruto harder but Naruto reared back his fist with his serrated gauntlet and threw his fist. The figure quickly jumped away from Naruto punch. It then looked at Itachi and Ayame.

The masked figured pulled out a small combat knife and chucked it at Ayame. Ayame was frozen as the knife came closer. Then a shadowed figure stepped in front of her and a loud grunt was heard.

Ayame unfroze and looked at Itachi. Said ninja had taken the knife straight into the shoulder. The masked figure shook and took a step back. Naruto recovered and tried to swipe at her only get a nick on the knife. The figure fled into the night.

Naruto growled and turned to Itachi who was being tended to by Ayame.

"Itachi please say something lose the stoic look please.

Itachi recovered his wits. "Ow...that really hurt." Ayame couldn't help it she kissed up senseless. She separated from Itachi and cried. Itachi could only hold the crying girl as he looked at Naruto.

"I guess you can date her." He sighed. "But make her cry and I will end you." Itachi couldn't help but laugh as the tension died down.

"Now can you help me to the hospital this would could be serious.

Naruto nodded and helped him up to take him to the Konoha hospital.

Naruto manage to get Itachi in the hospital very quickly. Itachi started having a seizure when they walked in so the doctors immediately rushed him to the E.R. They ran tests on the knife they found out. They discovered the blade was coated in some kind of toxin. As they worked to save Itachi the wound steadily got worse it then started turning a dark green color.

"This is brown recluse venom we have to work quickly!" A doctor yellow as they started working on Itachi and trying to keep him stable. The nurses quickly got the anti-venom and the doctors prayed it was enough.

Meanwhile in Itachi's apartment 'Sasuke' was panicking. "No I heard big brother. Now he's going to die. No it was that Bitch Ayame's fault. I have to find her and kill her. Then Big brother is all mine!" 'He' said. He started setting up his torture chamber all the while entertaining 'his brother' fantasies.

In the morgue Ducky was conducting tests on the hair sample. He found that it matched the sample from the previous sample Sasuke had given them at the genin exam. He had Mary run it in a machine to see what was in it.

"Ducky! I got the results." She yelled. Ducky looked at his charge and looked at the results. "The report came back for massive amounts of ammonia and other household chemicals."

Ducky nodded. "That would mean he had access to cleaning supplies but what would cause to use so much."

Mari rubbed her chin. "That I don't know yet. But I checked the DNA in the strand. The DNA had 24 complete chromosomes.

Ducky widened his eyes when he realized the samples matched. "Are you trying to say?"

Mari finished the thought. "I think 'Sasuke is a girl.'

"Wait what?" Yuuske asked Ducky.

Mari rolled her eyes. "The DNA sample we got from Sasuke before the massacre matched a dead body that shared Itachi's genes. The DNA sample we got also shared markers with Itachi and the dead body but with a complete set of chromosomes.

"That mean...he's a girl?" Chosa asked. Naruto because of his involvement was brought into help identify the attacker but he could not get a clear look at him. He growled.

"So someone has been masquerading as Sasuke? No wonder he started acting weird around me a couple of years ago."

Jethro hummed in thought. "So what do we do?"

Ducky shook his head. "I don't know Jethro.

Just then Teuchi came in a clear panic "Some crazy bastard kidnapped my daughter." Ayame father said.

The whole team got their gear and proceeded to fine the wayward waitress.

Ayame groaned awake. She tried to get up but found herself bound gagged and stripped to her underwear. She looked around and panicked at the sight of all the weapons.

"Ah so the bitch is awake." She heard a snide female voice. Ayame looked to see a female looking Itachi walking up to her.

"Sorry I gagged you but I can't stand your annoying voice." Kyouki said. She pulled out a knife. "You kept me from my big brother. I am the only one who deserves him. But before I kill you I am going to scar the pretty little face of yours." She said licking the knife.

She reached in started cutting Ayame's cheek all the while she was screaming in the gag.

Just then Itachi who had heard about Ayame's kidnapping went home to grab his gear. When saw Ayame and the female captor he lost it.

"Ayame? WHO ARE YOU?"

Kyouki turned. "Big brother how could you forget me your baby sister?"

Itachi gasped. "Kyouki? I thought you died in the massacre?"

Kyouki giggled sinisterly. "Oh no big brother. I used the massacre to take Sasuke's place. He was the apple of our father's eye while I was seen as worthless by the entire clan. All except you and mother. By killing Sasuke I could take his place and be seen by people. And I could also get closer to you."

Itachi shook his head. "You need help. Ayame is my girlfriend and you are my sister."

Kyouki laughed. "How could you love someone like this?" She showed Ayame's scars and her state of dress. "She looks like a whore and her face has this ugly scar."

Itachi growled. "She is beautiful regardless of what she looks like." Ayame started crying at the devotion Itachi had for her.

Kyouki growled. "If I can't have you then no one can." Kyouki prepared to slice Ayame's neck.

BANG

She felt a large stabbing pain as a gunshot tore through her shoulder. Itachi looked behind him to see Jethro with is gun smoking. Kyouki growled and crashed through the window.

Jethro got on the radio. "We got a runner coming from the Uchiha complex we need ANBU."

Itachi ran and cut Ayame out of her bindings. Her tears were flowing as Itachi rubbed the scar.

"I'm sorry I couldn't get her sooner." Itachi said. Ayame just laughed. "I'm glad you are here." And proceeded to kiss him which he happily returned.

Meanwhile Kyouki was running into the woods, bleeding from her shoulder wounds. She kept on running into parts unknown. But she was planning. She was planning on getting back at Ayame and those people from chasing her away from her beloved brother. She will get her revenge. She laughed a manic laugh as the last female Uchiha descended into her own world.

Kage Bijuu Author Note: Well this resolved the mystery of Sasuke. He was not really a he but a she. A very insane she at that. Kyouki who is the twin sister of Sasuke Uchiha. She is really that twisted. Also poor Ayame as well but at least they got to her early before Kyouki started taking limbs off.
