The plane ride was quiet, with such a late night flight most of the people on the plane were fine with eating dinner then going to sleep seeing the plane ride was over ten hours of in flight time. Marluxia rested his head against his headrest on his seat looking out the window. No one happened to be sitting next to him, which he was honestly surprised about but also a bit relieved. His eyes focused on the white ceiling eventually allowing his body to fall into a deep sleep and for once restful sleep. It wasn't the most comfortable position but it beat what he had lived through recently.

Meanwhile back at Saïx's house the bluenette paced, he whipped his phone off the counter he had set it on and dialed Marluxia. No response the cheery phone voice informed him that the number he was calling was out of service, Saïx ground his teeth before hanging up and dialing a different number. When the third ring occur he heard the person on the other end pick up "Can I help you Saïx?" a voice spoke

"Zexion why would a phone that I know is fully charge tell me it's out of service whenever I call it?" he asked

"Hm…perhaps there in a no cell service area? Not enough bars…"

"He works at a damn gas station!" Saïx growled. After Zexion rattled off a few more reasons he did muse over one idea

"It could be that his SIM card fell out."

"How…"

"I don't know. I don't know what model he has." Zexion never asked who he was talking about with Saïx seeing the male had only one guess

"I know he can remove it if he really wanted to so he could download pictures or videos onto it."

"Hm…the casing might have gotten a little loose and it came out…have you tried asking his co-workers?"

"I tried calling twice but they didn't pick up…" he grumbled looking out the window, the bus that normally dropped Marluxia and Vexen off pulled out of the area. This was maybe the third time it had left, but no Vexen or Marluxia. Zexion gave a little 'hm' while thinking Saïx began his pacing again

"Why did you not pick him up at what nine?"

"He said his boss needed his help with something…" Zexion laughed softly

"Did Vexen ever come home?"

"No not yet." Zexion laughed again. Saïx growled "What?"

"I believe…you've been tricked."

Marluxia awoke with a start when a stewardess touched him lightly on the shoulder, the woman smiled warmly

"Sorry to wake you sir, I was just going to move you a bit." She explained. Marluxia was about to ask why when he noticed he was slightly slumped over in the seat next to him and his arm was slightly in the aisle. Marluxia offered a tried smile

"Sorry about that." He whispered afraid that people were still asleep, the woman laughed a bit

"It's fine. Breakfast will be in about forty minutes." She told him with a smile before walking off to do her next task. Marluxia nodded a bit before looking out the window, the sun had most likely risen above the mountains by now and it had to be close to seven in the morning. Marluxia hadn't slept that well in a long time, stretching he decided to just watch the clouds lazily drift by. When the flight finally landed in the airport Marluxia had a sore back and his ears were slightly popped, but that was the least of his problems, the plane had arrived about ten in the morning which was fine with the male. However now came the next part, making a life here while he waited…Vexen had said he would get into contact with him when it was safe to meet up again but that meant they wouldn't see each other before then.

Marluxia wasn't entirely sure what decided it was safe for them to meet up but he hoped it was simple or even soon. But for now he would have to push those thoughts aside and instead look about, he had enough money to most likely rent out a motel for about three months or so (Provided he could find one, the map Vexen had given him didn't seem accurate. But then again he had only briefly looked it over.) and maybe four if he stretched thin on the food. He would have to come up with some clever planning…

Saïx was enraged. He threw a random magazine he had on a coffee table near him halfway across the room, the magazine harmlessly fell to the floor though it did make a soft smack sound against the ground. Saïx was on the verge of ripping out his hair, he fell for the most obvious mistake he could. He should have went down the moment Marluxia normally got out of work and sat in the store or something! He growled throwing a pillow at the bookshelf this time several books falling onto the floor. Zexion was working on finding the male however it wasn't easy, Vexen and Marluxia had covered their tracks very well. Saïx growled punching a wall hard enough a bruise formed on his knuckles "When I find you slut…" Saïx growled a wicked grin on his face after a few moments "You're going to wish you hid better."

Finding a motel was a little harder than expected for Marluxia, it wasn't that there wasn't one nearby it was more the price or…he couldn't find it. He walked around the town trying to get directions however most people couldn't tell him where or were too busy to notice him trying to get help, night began to fall Marluxia ended up eating dinner out of a grocery store's deli (He had to admit, Tuna Poke was good) before wandering into a nearby park. His eyes scanned the area for any people in the area however it was fairly empty, he walked towards a fountain in the center of the park simply so he could rest his feet for a moment. Making sure there were no signs that read he shouldn't sit on the object he took a seat looking at the sky, it was as clear as it had been this morning when he arrived. Marluxia sighed he felt lost, Vexen had done the planning for the trip here but he was on his own. He hadn't felt like this until the day he left for a new town that his parents didn't live in. But even then it had been a while since he had lived alone. Almost five months he had been forced to live with Saïx, his parents none the wiser. Sitting there he heard footsteps, looking over his shoulder he found a male staring at him.

The male was tan with golden eyes and silver hair that flowed slightly but the upper part was spiked, it almost reminded Marluxia of Saïx's hair but much more…wild? No that wasn't quiet the right word but overall that was the feeling. He seemed slightly confused at Marluxia sitting there on the fountain's ledge, standing up Marluxia offered a confused smile "Um…sorry. I just needed to rest my legs." He stated looking at the male. After a moment the man walked over revealing to Marluxia orange-red colored eyes staring at him before Marluxia made any move to run the man held something out to him. Marluxia's eyes looked downwards to find he was holding out a wallet, Marluxia suddenly patted down all his pockets before looking at the man taking the wallet. Flipping it open for sure it was his, all his money was there and none of his cards were missing. Everything seemed in place, looking at the male for a moment "Thank you." He offered a smile. The man smile has well

"No trouble." He told him "It slipped out of your pocket when you left the store." He explained, Marluxia nodded was about to leave when the man pointed to the suitcase "So visitor?" he asked. Marluxia nodded

"I'm on a extended vacation." He explained "My house is being worked on and my mother suggested for me to many go see a few places in the world that I've always wanted to see." He told him, the man nodded again

"Well welcome to the main island then." He told him. Marluxia offered him a smile

"Thank you." After that they parted, Marluxia not learning his name but he was fine with that. Life decided through his man needed to be a bigger part of Marluxia's life apparently.

After sleeping in a tree because he couldn't afford the closest motel Marluxia discovered an issue. When he awoke he was soaked, it turned off it decided to pour rain. After running out of the park he discovered why, he was had arrived in the middle of rain season. Everything he owned was soaked to the point his clothes were sticking to his body, most of his spare clothes were also soaked. As he walked for a while he eventually arrived at the same park he had been at a few days prior, the rain wasn't cold at least. As he walked he paused needing to take a break when he noticed he wasn't being poured on anymore, looking up he noticed a black umbrella over his head. Looking at the hand holding it he found that the hand belonged to the male from the other day, he was grateful for the protection from the rain but curious to why the man was here again. The man tilted his head

"Why are you just sitting out here in the rain? With all your things?" he asked pointing to the suitcase. Marluxia paused unable to think what could explain it, why would a visitor from another place bring their suitcase everywhere? He didn't say anything while he attempted to think quietly but the man didn't let him "Well?" he asked sounded the tiniest bit annoyed. Marluxia sighed softly

"Um…I didn't really plan this vacation out well." He admitted "So I don't have a room due to money issues…" he told him. The male stood there for a moment before offering a hand, Marluxia tilted his head a bit before his wrist had been grabbed. Being dragged off with his things Marluxia was about to fight back but he stopped, he fought and got hurt with Saïx. It would be the same. Marluxia remained silent and looked to the ground gripping onto his luggage tightly; he eventually was lead further into town and to the building. Looking up Marluxia found he had been led to a café, what was the point of leading him here? Being pulled inside the pinkette saw two people by the front counter, one was a male with short blond hair with a matching goatee and blue eyes. The other was also a male with long black dreadlocks and very distinct sideburns that pointed to his violet colored eyes and arched eyebrows. Both of them looked up when the pair entered due to a small bell ringing overhead. The men smiled at the tan male

"Xemnas! Whose you're friend?" the blond asked, Xemnas looked at the two and nodded at him

"Luxord do you have a towel I could borrow?" he asked instead of answering the question. Luxord stared at the pinkette before nodding

"Oh geez! You should have said something the moment you walked in!" he remarked running into a room towards the back the dark haired male nodded

"Why don't you go take a seat? I can bring you something warm to drink." He told the two disappearing. Xemnas nodded leading Marluxia over to a table that was towards the back. Once both were seated Luxord came over having Marluxia dry off and change into a spare uniform from the back to avoid him getting a cold, the dark haired male returned setting two cups of hot chocolate in front of them before vanishing. Xemnas allowed Marluxia a few moments to try and warm up a bit, despite the fact that the rain wasn't cold he did seem a bit chilled. After a while he spoke

"So…" Marluxia looked up at the male away from the drink "What were you doing?" he asked finally. Marluxia didn't speak for a bit, his mind trying to make up a decent lie

"Like I said I'm on a extended vacation." He began "Part of my house was damaged during a bad storm in my original town. I didn't know the extent seeing I had been at my now ex-boyfriend's house at the time it happened. Actually…" he faked a laugh "I was breaking up with him." He laughed again. It kind of felt good to phrase it like that, almost like he was leaving Saïx finally behind. Marluxia decided to continue "Because of it being so spontaneous I didn't have time to find a place and I didn't bring enough money so…I slept in the park last night and was going to try and find a place today then I bumped into you again." He told him hoping his lie bought him a little time. Xemnas stared at Marluxia, he wasn't good at lying. Somethings deeper was going on here and he wanted to know what but somewhere in the back of his mind he knew if he pressed too hard Marluxia would retaliate and not listen to him. Xemnas nodded pretending to listen to his lie

"Ah…that is unfortunate." He told him "If your not there how do you know what's going on with your home?" he asked faking confusion. Marluxia nodded

"Mom is keeping me updated. She's paying for most of it seeing she felt it was her fault, it used to be there summer vacation home but now it's mine. I've tried convincing her that it had nothing to do with her but still she insists." He offered a soft laugh. Xemnas nodded

"Hm…sounds like she's a good mother." He commented "What about your job back home?" Marluxia offered a smile though it was tainted by sadness

"Between jobs at the moment." He told him. Xemnas nodded again

"I see." After Marluxia finished his drink and paid for it he was about to head out when Xemnas caught up with him "Why don't you stay at my house? Just till you find somewhere to live." He offered. Marluxia blinked thrown off by the suggestion

"Um…no offense." He began backing away "But I hardly know you and the same could be said about me to you." He kept backing up before he knew it he had stepped into the street behind him. A suddenly blast of sound caused him to turn his head, headlights were coming towards him. He froze but suddenly a hand grabbed his wrist yanking him towards the owner, once he was back on the sidewalk he fell to his butt looking up as the car passed by rather harmlessly behind him. The man stared at him slightly out of breath from the moment of panic, he stared at him for a bit longer before putting on a smile

"I think…you should pay attention to where you are walking." He laughed a bit. Marluxia nodded standing up
"Sorry…I don't really know my way around." He admitted

"Hence why you should at least stay with me." Xemnas told him "Just until you can afford a room somewhere." He stressed. Marluxia sighed softly

"You're not really giving me a option…" he mumbled softly. Xemnas offered a smile

"It's my duty to help people." He explained, after receiving a funny look from Marluxia Xemnas reached into his pocket revealing a police officer badge. Marluxia's heart lurched at the sight of the badge, he was a cop? Wait he could get help for both him and Vexen! A thought ran through his head however reminding him he had to play low for a bit. Eventually he sighed

"Alright…just until I find a place to live." He gave in. Xemnas smiled

"Alright. I'll lead you home." He told him and began walking along side of him. The rain had faded by now which was nice, they walked in silence to his home.

Xemnas lived in a fairly nice two story house, upon entering inside of the home Marluxia saw all the various pictures hung up and tried to figure out where he would be sleeping. His eyes caught a handle that didn't seem to belong anywhere, Xemnas happened to catch his glance. Walking over to a small area just under his stairs leading to the next floor opening a door "Storage mainly." He explained before shutting it.

After a bit Marluxia had most of his things washing and drying in Xemnas's laundry room while Marluxia was given a pair of pajamas that he could wear until his things were clean and ready to go. Xemnas lead him upstairs to a room on the right about three doors away from the stairs "This is my guest room." He explained opening the door. Most of the room was white with blue and yellow items that reminded Marluxia of a hotel he once stayed in as a child. Xemnas smiled disappearing for a moment to check on Marluxia's clothes, the pinkette sat on the edge of the bed for a bit. His eyes watered a bit, he had to be safe right? But was Vexen? His heart ached at the thought of him being hurt or in the same situation he was in, alone and scared. Vexen was strong but would he be strong enough, Marluxia felt a few tears slip from his eyes the tears landing on the carpeted floor. He was worried for him, he bit his lip shaking his head. No…he would have to be strong. Just for now.

When Xemnas returned he had to smile a bit, Marluxia had fallen asleep on the bed on his side on top of the covers. Carefully Xemnas moved Marluxia bit to have his head at least on a pillow and pulled the two blankets folded on the end of the bed over the male's body hoping that would be enough. Xemnas smiled a bit and turned out the lights walking out shutting the door behind him. He had really only offered him the room for one reason: he wanted to figure out the truth behind the boy.
