Chapter ten: The First Raindrops
Hiiiiiii! *smiles sheepishly* I'm SORRYYYYY I was very busy getting in the US and studying because I'm a senior… I'll try to finish In Shelter before my SATs though… Well let's just see the chapter because this is the chapter in which all the action starts it! The shit is going down finally! There's going to be some shooting! Yaaaas shooting! U all know u wanna see the shooting haahaha!
Cereal isn't good for me… it makes me hyper.
That was a random thought. But here we go the chapter

"So you've come Sherry." Gin said with a grin on his face.
Sherry-AKA- Shiho-AKA Ai (YA WE KNOW) smirked. "I really missed you guys." She said.
Gin hated the fearless smirk on her face. He looked at Volcano in disgust. "Take her to the locked room. She'll get to see her friend before I end them both." He said.
"Wait? End us both? You said you'll let her live." Ai said in an act.
She already knew he didn't want Numirako to be alive either.
"I lied." He said simply, like in any evil movie plot. Ai wanted to laugh but that would give the whole plan away. She frowned and acted like she was holding back tears, something she was really good at.
Volcano led her to the back room, one that didn't have a vent or laundry chute opening or any windows. It seemed the organization learned their lesson.
"Numirako-Chan!" Ai called.
Numirako looked up. When she saw Ai she gasped.
"Shiho-Chan? You look ten years younger!" Numirako said in disbelief.
Volcano handed Ai her purse. "One of the rebels is coming in a few minutes to let you out to escape; at that time Gin will be a bit busy and all our people will be here. Run fast and don't make stupid mistakes."
Ai nodded. "Thank you" She said.
"You're welcome" Came the reply as she waved good bye and walked out the room, closing the door and locking it behind her.
"So what's going on?" Numirako asked. "I don't understand anything"
Ai explained the whole story and as well as that the plan to escape. Numirako looked skeptical about it and didn't want to believe that Shiho actually shrank into a kid who grew up to become thirteen. She looked pale at the thought of the danger they were going to get into by escaping. Considering however, that they were going to die anyway, strung her up. She knew that this was their only chance to survive.
After they talked, the lock to the door clicked and then the door swung open. The person who was on the other side was Ledix. Ai looked at him for a few seconds, scrutinizing whether he was their savior or not. He smirked. "Let's go before Gin gets back. Volcano's hands are full since she's going to take down someone to stall Gin." He explained.
Numirako looked scared at first until Ai nodded to that. She swallowed the temporary antidote she carried in her purse.
He handed them a bag full of clothes and wigs and makeup. He looked away while they changed into them quickly, the clothes being really big for Ai until she felt the pain of her bones growing. Minutes later, she was Shiho. Numirako helped Shiho put on the wig and smeared powder on Shiho's face to make her look like she had a tan complexion and dotted some freckles for her with eye liner pen. Numirako then placed a wig over her own head and did the same.
Shiho then opened her purse and retrieved the box that Jodie gave her long ago. She opened it. Numirako grew paler by the minute when she noticed. Shiho took the gun out of the box and loaded it with ammunition. She placed the rest of the ammo in the purse and strapped it around her neck and arm.
Ledix grinned. "I knew that you wouldn't be defenseless." He said. He beckoned the girls over to him and they followed him out of the room.
Shiho noticed that the corridors were dark and gloomy and lacked the necessity of hygiene. She could see the fungi accumulated in certain areas that may have leaked from the ceiling before when it rains. Numirako took Shiho's hand and Shiho felt the Goosebumps that shivered at Numirako's arms. She was terrified. She was even shaking in fear but Shiho hoped that she wouldn't slow them down.
Ledix led them out of the hall they were in before and they found themselves in another hallway. Some people passed them, but none took notice to them because of their disguises. Shiho hoped it would remain that way. She knew though that if Gin looked at her if he came, he'd see through her disguise. She also knew for a fact that Shinchi could see through her disguise in seconds if he looked at her. That was because he knew her so well. Shiho could always tell if he had a disguise on too. That was how strong their love was. I have to get back to him, she told herself.
Soon the three were in a lone hallway near the back of the building. Ledix felt it was safe to talk. "Vodka's waiting in the back in his car so we can just get in and leave." He said.
"What about Volcano?" Shiho asked.
"She has another car here to get away after she's done with her work." Ledix replied, avoiding eye contact.
"So we're leaving her behind?" Shiho questioned.
Ledix nodded silently. "It's the only way."
"How does Vodka feel about that?" Shiho asked. She didn't particularly like Vodka but after he began this quest to rescue Numirako, she wouldn't have wanted him to lose his love just after becoming a couple.
"Well he's not very happy but what can we do about it?" Ledix answered.
Shiho nodded. Ledix may be a new rebel from the organization, but he wasn't used to having a heart yet. Shiho had been away from the organization and through that time she managed to acquire as much heart as to fall in love. Volcano and Vodka were not that truly in love yet because they were still slowly regaining their lost hearts.
Ledix finally lead them to a room which had nothing but a door on the other side. He walked toward the door, Shiho and Numirako reluctantly following behind him. Numirako locked the door behind her.
"Finally" Ledix whispered. "We're finally done."
He opened the door and the sunshine from the outside streamed in. He began to walk out and Shiho was behind him when he stopped and Shiho's head hit his shoulder.
"Excuse me." Ledix spoke, but it wasn't directed to her. Shiho gave Numirako a sharp look immediately so she wouldn't give them away with her nervousness.
"It's okay. I shouldn't have come in this way." The man replied. He came through and gave Shiho a look, but didn't know it was really her through her disguise.
"Hello Shiraz." He greeted.
Shiho nodded in acknowledgment. Shiraz was the woman Shiho disguised herself as. Volcano's mission was to take Shiraz out because this woman was a very dangerous asset to the organization and recently became the boss's and Gin's favorite after Vermouth left. All this was explained to Shiho when they were walking.
Shiho then recognized him as Bloodsucker. His nickname was well earned because he was famous for killing people by somehow- in the most bizarre ways- drained a person' body of its blood. He looked normal, but Shiho could see the darkness in his eyes that could scare a nation. His real name however was Laksa. Everyone knew it because that was what everyone originally called him before he made his personality known.
He moved toward the door and opened it, not realizing it was locked but because of his force, it opened.
Numirako let out a breath of relief she didn't know she was holding. Ledix looked out the door that lead to outside again. Shiho followed his gaze to see Vodka waving at them from his open car window. "Vodka's waiting. Let's go." Ledix ordered.
The two girls were about to follow him when the door they went through before opened.
Bloodsucker came in first so Shiho began to think he may have forgotten something in his car. Her hopes , however were immediately gone the moment she saw Gin enter the room, followed by the real Shiraz, who was tugging Volcano with her in tow, her gun aimed at Volcano's head.
Numirako looked weak in the knees and Ledix immediately tried to hide himself, but Bloodsucker pulled him out of his hiding place and next to Shiho and Numirako. Shiho hoped that Vodka would use some common sense and keep hidden in his car and close his open window.
Gin smirked. "I see that you are planning on leaving without saying goodbye." He said dangerously.
Shiho knew she had to think of an escape. She didn't want to be locked up in that room again! She didn't want to endanger Numirako more than she already did. She just wanted to go home. The question that then racked at her brains was- where was her home anyway? She didn't have a home other than Hakase's house and that mansion in the US that she couldn't call her own. Shinchi was her home. She wanted to get back to him.
Shiho knew then that she had to reply or Gin might notice her fear and desperation.
"I didn't want to bother you while you were busy planning for your schemes." Shiho replied with a smirk on her face. She took off the wig she was wearing.
Shiraz looked at Gin. "I would love to kill them all now Gin." She said. "Sherry went too far. That wig doesn't even look like my real hair."
"You will. Just be patient." Gin replied. He walked up to Volcano and Shiraz. He retrieved a blade from his belt and took Volcano's exposed arm. Volcano tried to show no fear, but she soon began looking like she was going to cry in fear.
Gin placed the blade against Volcano's skin and pushed…against a vein.
Blood spurted while Volcano shrieked in pain.
Seconds later, Shiho heard it.
Vodka's car door opened and closed.
Gin grinned.
Footsteps began to sound on the stairs that lead to the door Shiho, Numirako and Ledix were about to take to be outside.
Shiho groaned in her head.
Vodka ran in yelling "Volcano!" Then he recognized the scene and blanched.
Gin's grin grew.
"Hello Vodka."
"Anniki! What's going on?" Vodka asked as of in confusion.
Gin paced the room. "Vodka… I am deeply ashamed of you. You have grown weak. The weak can't live. They must die."
Sweat dripped from Vodka's forehead. He played with his glasses nervously. "Anniki, I did so much-"
"Enough Vodka. You have betrayed us." Gin said, retrieving his gun from his pocket. He faced everyone. "I'm afraid I'll have to kill you. You're too much trouble alive." He said to them.
Numirako gasped, tears appearing in her eyes.
Shiho closed her eyes in pain as she heard Numirako sob. She wished she didn't Numirako into this. She should've remembered to bring Numirako with her to the US. Numirako was who Gin told her in the dream she forgotten. The pain of knowing innocent people were going to die because of her hurt. She wanted to cry like Numirako but she didn't want to show weakness to Gin.
Gin looked thoughtful for a minute.
Blood continued to seep from the cut Gin made on Volcano's wrist. Shiho knew that since it was a vein cut she should be rushed to the hospital because of the blood. Volcano looked weak and yet Shiraz was forcing her to stand.
Vodka was watching Volcano; his glasses hiding those tear shimmering eyes.
Someone was going to die here. Shiho knew that much. She just wished it wasn't her friends.
"It seems that I'll shoot your friend first Sherry. That will show you that I do not mess around." Gin said.
Numirako squeaked in terror.
"Yeah, you only mess around with females you are sexually attracted to." Shiho said. Shiraz growled at that.
Shiho was trying to taunt them and waste time. Maybe, by some miracle they will be rescued.
"Yes Sherry. That's the only way I mess around." Gin said, aiming his gun at Numirako.
Shiho was going to say another retort to use more time when suddenly the fire alarm began to ring. Gin looked a bit scared to everyone's surprise.
He aimed his gun away. "Shiraz, Bloodsucker, kill them. I'll go see what's going on." Gin ordered and ran out of the room, his long silver hair trailing behind him.
Shiraz was about to shoot at Volcano when suddenly the glass of the window next to her shattered. She moved away from it, pulling Volcano with her.
Bloodsucker aimed his gun at the window, but no one was there. A second later, however someone came in the door and pulled Volcano away from Shiraz in her moment of weakness and kicked at her legs, making her fall. Then someone leaped in the window and went for Bloodsucker when he yelled that he was a rebel playing a part. Ledix confirmed it.
Shiho recognized the two people who entered. Tony and Evan.
"Evan that was brilliant!" Tony said to him, helping Volcano sit and Vodka ran to help her. "You thought that all on a moment's notice and yet you even worked it out!"
She let Vodka take Volcano and then gave Evan a small and sweet kiss on the lips. Shiho gasped in happiness. "You're dating now?" She asked in spite of herself.
Tony looked up and realized that Shiho was the one who spoke and nodded shy fully and then hugged her. When Tony let go, Evan hugged Shiho.
"Kudo's going crazy over you Shiho-Kun. We should go before he gets a heart attack. As well as that we need to bring that lady to the emergency room." Evan said.
Shiho nodded happily and looked at Numirako who was weeping happily. Shiho went to her and hugged her.
Suddenly, Tony began running and landed a punch and another kick at Shiraz who was getting up so she landed on the ground unconscious.
"That was sexy." Evan remarked and Tony's whole face went red as she faced him.
Shiho now knew who the cutest couple was in the world. She thought it was her and Shinchi. She was wrong. The couple in front of her was.
The group then exited the building through that door that the three before were pinning to leave from before.
They all squeezed in Vodka's car and were about to drive away when suddenly the ground began to shake and there was the sound of explosions and gunshots.
Shiho looked at Tony. "What was that?" She asked.
Tony hesitated for a minute before answering.
"That is round one of the war between the White cloaks and the Black."
Hey everyone! I finally updated! Whew- what a few months were those? Tony's got some nice scenes in here ;) and the action's going to be at its peak. Since I'm on the writing rumble now I'll probably have some inspiration left to finish this story before February, hopefully. But no worries this is a trilogy so it's not the end yet! The last book of this trilogy will take some time to start because it's going to be very mysterious and stuff and it will take lots of work, which I don't really have time for. I'll post the sneak peak and all the information that goes with it with the epilogue, which by the way is only 1- 2 chapters away!
