A/N: Hey guys. Sorry for the long wait. I have two more chapters left and I am working on them both quickly so I can just get them out. I appreciate the feedback, you've all been great! Enjoy this chapter and I'll post the others soon, I promise!

Chloe was getting ready for her first day back at work. It had been two weeks and she was really happy to finally be getting out of the house. She had found it kind of depressing there. Her phone vibrated from a new text message.

Rachel: Hey babe, just wanted to say have a good first day at work, take it easy and i'll see you after, Love you! xoxo.

She read it over and decided she was going to reply later. Chloe closed the message and sighed. It wasn't that she and Rachel hadn't been getting along; she was very pleased with Rachel. But like all her other girlfriends. She found herself comparing her to Beca.

Beca had been making so much more of an effort with her, with little things she does. Like actually coming over instead of just sending a text or making her new mixes every few days.

Chloe grabbed her car keys and headed straight out the door to work. When she arrived she was greeted by all her co-workers surrounding her, telling her how glad they were that she was okay and that she was back.

She saw Aubrey from across the room just smiling at her. Finally Chloe had a chance to break free from everyone. She went to her office and not even a minute after being ambushed there was a knock at her door. Chloe threw her head in her hands and sighed.

"Come in," she grumbled.

"Flower delivery for a Miss Chloe Beale?" The guy asked as he opened the door holding a dozen roses. Chloe instantly knew who they were from.

"I'm Chloe, you can leave them right on my desk thank you," she smiled. The guys nodded.

"Have a nice day miss," he then walked out leaving her alone with her flowers. Chloe opened the note attached to the roses.

Chloe, I hope you have a good first day at work, don't work too hard. I'm so happy you made a quick recovery; I always knew you were a fighter though. I'll be seeing you soon. I will love you until the last rose dies xo. - Beca.

Chloe scoffed. "Well so much for loving me forever," She muttered to herself throwing the note in a drawer in her desk.

She was kind of upset, the fact that Beca had finally had enough and was giving her a week to decide. Chloe felt kind of sad for a moment but she shook her head from her thoughts and immediately got back to work.

As excited as Chloe was for her day to begin, she was definitely happy it was over. She opened the door to her apartment.

"Mm what smells good?" Chloe asked as she entered and got a nice whiff of something being cooked.

"Chicken parm," Rachel replied. She walked out from the kitchen and gave her girlfriend a kiss on her lips. "I missed you," Rachel mumbled against Chloe's lips.

"I missed you too," Chloe replied.

"You never texted me back," Rachel frowned.

"Shoot I'm sorry Rach, I was busy when I got it and meant to reply to it later when I wasn't so busy. You know not being there for two weeks, there was a lot to do." She lied.

"It's ok babe I figured. So I hope you're hungry." She turned around and entered the kitchen.

"I'm starved." Chloe pulled her phone from her purse upon feeling it vibrate.

Beca: Hey, I hope work went well today. I miss you. Was thinking we could get together tomorrow? Let me know. I know a great Italian restaurant. I know how much you love your eggplant parmesan.

Chloe stared at the text but didn't reply. She couldn't help but mentally laugh at herself. The second Rachel had told her she was making chicken parmesan she thought how she had wished it was eggplant.

Rachel looked over and saw her staring at her phone. She got a funny feeling, having an idea of who it was.

"Who's that?" She asked nonchalantly.

"Oh Aubrey," Chloe lied. Just her luck as she said that, Aubrey walked right in the front door. Rachel knew right away her girlfriend was lying, but decided not to press the issue knowing it would just cause an argument.

"Mm something smells delicious," Aubrey said enthusiastically, oblivious to what she just walked into. Chloe gave her a dirty look and made Aubrey question what she had done.

"Chicken Parm, it will be ready in ten," Rachel replied shortly. She then walked back into the kitchen to finish her meal. The rest of the night the three of them sat around and watched TV, talking. Beca had text Chloe two times since her last text.

The first text being: "?." The other: ":( Is there any reason you're ignoring me?" Chloe read both messages and still didn't reply. She felt as though there was nothing more to say. She knew Beca's intention now, so what was the point? It was as easy for her to just give in finally and take Beca back, but she wanted to see how much the other woman was willing to do for her before she did take her back for good.

"I'm going to bed, I'm tired," Chloe shot out, out of nowhere.

"Ok babe, I'll come with you." Rachel replied as she got up from the couch. Chloe nodded. Both girls wished Aubrey a good night and headed straight for the bedroom.

It was now Friday and Chloe was relieved. It was the end of the week, it had been a long week for her. Beca had been texting her nonstop, not understanding why Chloe had been ignoring her. Beca has even gone as far as stopping by the apartment a few times but every time she had gotten Aubrey to lie to her telling her she was at Rachel's or out. Chloe was sitting in her office when she suddenly got another text, from Beca of course.

Beca: I don't get what I did wrong, please talk to me and tell me so I can fix it.

Chloe sighed. She looked at the roses sitting on her desk, now dying. She decided it was time to throw them out. However, when she grabs them and gets a closer look she realizes something she had never seen before. One rose hasn't changed at all.

Confused Chloe grabs the rose to get a better look, she realized that it was fake. She suddenly felt her stomach drop.

"Oh my god," she whispered. "I'm such an idiot!" She then pulled out Beca's card from her drawer and read it over again.

I will love you until the last rose dies.

Chloe felt terrible. That was the most romantic thing anyone had ever done for her and she had been pushing Beca away for no reason the whole time. "Fuck," Chloe yelled. Aubrey quickly ran into Chloe's office.

"What's wrong, are you ok?" She frowned when she saw that Chloe was crying. "Chloe what happened? Is it Beca, did she do something?" Chloe nodded.

Aubrey grabbed her cell phone out to call Beca and give her a piece of her mind. Chloe immediately stopped her.

"Stop and look." Chloe showed Aubrey the note and then the fake rose. "Oh my god Chloe, that's so…so romantic," Aubrey squeals. She then gently hit Chloe. "And you've been ignoring her all week for no reason, Dammit Chloe!"

"I know! I'm such an idiot," Chloe groaned. "Aubrey I think I know what I need to do now." She smiled lightly at the blonde. Aubrey knew exactly what her friend was saying.

Chloe grabbed her cell phone out and text Rachel.

Hey, can I stop by after work?

She pressed send and back up at Aubrey.

"I'm behind you 100% no matter what you do Chlo, always." Aubrey walked over to Chloe and hugged her. Chloe couldn't help but feel sick to her stomach with everything she had just realized. What a long week it has been.
