Battle of the Elves
Saerwen walked away from the palace in a tunic and black leggings as she went to the market. It had been a week since she was at the borders and was still awaiting the news from Thranduil. As she bought some dresses for herself, other elleths glared at her. She didn't know why, but she knew that they must hate her. Saerwen was beautiful, living in the palace, with the Prince and King, and didn't do anything for it.
Once she bought the dress, she strolled down the market to go find something that she would like to wear for a treat. Legolas told her she could get anything she wanted with the money he gave her. She tried to refuse at first but Legolas turned the request to an order.
Saerwen bought some jewelry then decided to head back to the palace. Something suddenly hit her in the back of the head and made her stumble forward. She turned to see three blond elleths with tomatoes in their hands. Saerwen didn't wait for them to say something, she just ran.
They elleths ran after her and threw the other tomatoes. One hit her head and another hit her shoulder. She ran faster then jumped behind a house. The elleths ran past like they were still chasing her. Saerwen calmed her breathing as she stared blankly at the ground.
Why was she so hated? Tears rushed down her face while she thought of home. Visions of her family suddenly flashed in her mind. If she had gone home, would she have lived on? Would she be happy again? She cried even more when she thought of her brothers.
Another vision came up and she knew this wasn't the past, but the future. It showed Elladan in front of a grave with Arwen by his side. Where was Elrohir? The vision continued and showed a battle. There was a mirky forest and the first person to pop up was Elrohir. He had all his armour on and had his sword drawn.
Sweat coated his brow and was also decorated with dirt. He jogged through a battle with the elves of Mirkwood and Imladris. Why were they fighting? Elladan came into view as he beat down a small Mirkwood Elf. Elladan screamed at Elrohir as he looked at something in the distance.
An arrow came shooting toward him and stuck out of his chest. He fell to the ground as blood soaked his tunic and dripped onto the earth. Saerwen shook free of the vision and sucked in a breath. More tears came down her pale cheeks.
Saerwen didn't think. She took off, running into the woods.

Legolas paced as he waited for Saerwen to return. She had been gone for five hours when he had told her to be gone fore two. She would never disobey an order so simple. Was she hurt? Who would want to hurt her? He guessed the other Elves in Mirkwood now viewed her as a Princess more than a slave because of her freedom.
Not waiting another minute, he rushed out of his room and to the captain of the palace guard. He stomped over to them with a stone expression.
"Send out any spare troop, the Princess is missing." He growled then rushed to his father's chambers. He stopped and paused before he burst into his father's room. Thranduil sat on a chair with a book in hand. He wore baggy robes, but his hair was still fine and detangled.
"Legolas, how many times do I need to tell you to knock?" His father asked warningly. Just to be a sass bag, Legolas knocked on the wooden door and crossed his arms.
"Is this your doing?"
"If you mean the nasty present I sent to the Dwarves, then I don't know what your talking about." Thranduil scoffed as he flipped the page.
"'Tis not what I speak of, Saerwen has gone missing." Legolas stated, trying to keep his calm composure while on the inside he was frantic.
"Now that I wish I was apart of." Thranduil smirked.
"I have no idea where that little girl has gone nor what happened to her. She might have finally gained the nerve to run. If the guards do not capture her the spiders will for sure have their next meal." Legolas' eyes flashed with fear as he listened.
"I have already sent troops to find her. If she is not found within the hour, I will get the whole realm to be aware of her abduction."
"Legolas," Thranduil called as he closed his book was a swift move of his fingers.
"Do not worry over a broken toy, she isn't something to fret over. I was planning to make her a captain, but if she has run off, she will be locked up under lock and key. Is that understood?" Thranduil's cold stare landed on Legolas as he glared at his father.
"She is still a living being, not a toy!" Legolas spat. He quickly stormed out of the room to go find his armour. He will go look for her himself.

Legolas adjusted his armour as he walked down the hall. He was ready to start searching, but something caught his eye Thranduil stood looking out a window with his own armour on.
"Father, why are you in your armour?" He questioned, moving his bow from his right hand to the left.
"I have a bad feeling." He spoke. They weren't the craziest words he's said, but the most odd.
"Some thing is wrong and I'm always right when I have a feeling. Last week I thought Orcs would attack, but the feeling only continued to thrive" Thranduil turned to his son then pointed out the window. Legolas joined looking out the window and saw a lone rider. The Elf's armour was scratched and he held his arm close to his body. The troop swung his leg over the horse's back and limped to the palace gates.
Legolas and Thranduil didn't spend any time on staring, they both ran for the doors. The Elf had chest length blond hair and was covered in dirt.
"My King!" He called to Thranduil.
"What has happened?!" He gasped.
"The Imladris Elves, they attack from the West! They have breached the gates, but are being held up by the border guard." Thranduil nodded then turned to Legolas.
"Gather the remaining troops and send them to the border as fast as you can!" Thranduil raced off to gather his weapons as Legolas went to get the remaining guards. Legolas' mind was on the battle ahead and on the elleth that was still missing.
Was she already at the battle? No. She never came back for her armour, she would be a dead man if she went to battle. Did she really run away? Legolas shook his head of unwanted thoughts as he gathered the rest of the guards. Some were to guard the gates of the palace and the others were going straight into battle.
He quickly ran back to the palace gates to see his father had already had his horse. Giving a nod to Thranduil, they galloped off.

Legolas struck down another Imladris Elf with his twin knives as he entered the battle. There was hundreds of body laying on the ground as more started to fall, Mirkwood and Imladirs Elves. He stab another Elf in the back then looked around the battle field.
There was no sign of Saerwen. She would have been fighting along side her kin if she was escaping, not leaving all the work to them. He suddenly saw Elrond on a horse, trotting into the forest. The gates were wide open so it wouldn't be difficult to get in. He dashed for the Elf Lord while cutting down enemies in his path.
He followed in behind Elrond and remained unseen. Elrond suddenly stopped his horse and stared off in the distance. He dismounted and walked forward toward the forest along the path.
"Thranduil." He called out. Thranduil came out of shadows and stepped in front of Lord Elrond. The two Elves glared at each other as they spoke to one another.
"Where is she, Thranduil? Hand over my daughter, and I will called off my Elves." Elrond offered as they circled each other.
"You asked her yourself if she wanted to return home and she declined. Accept that she's happier here." Thranduil growled. Legolas watched in awe as the two old Elves had a battle of wits that he could never phantom having.
"I care not, she needs to return home. Saerwen is foolish to think that she belongs here. Her mind has been poisioned." Legolas scoffed in annoyance. She wasn't the foolish one.
"Return my daughter, this is your last warning." Elrond drew his sword as he glared at Thranduil.
"I couldn't do that even if I truly wanted to, old friend." Legolas watched his father play with the hilt of his sword as if Elrond wasn't threatening him at all. Elrond suddenly lowered his sword to cue Thranduil to keep talking.
"She has gone missing. I thought she went running to you, but since your here, apparently not." Thranduil had a smirk on his face as he spoke of Saerwen. The worry on Elrond's face grew as he heard more of his daughter's disapearence.
"Legolas sent her out to buy some clothes for herself, but she didn't return. There has been rumours that the towns people hate her so much that they will send an assassin to kill her even if it lands them in jail." Elrond dropped his sword as his eyes widened.
"Who knows? She could be dead this very moment." Legolas stepped out of hiding and walked toward his father.
"Father, that is taking it too far. Saerwen is a great warrior and she will not die easily." Legolas growled.
"Legoals! Shouldn't you be out fighting? I have this all under control." Thranduil questioned as her crossed his arms.
"I think they can survive without out me." He growled. Thranduil rolled his eyes then went back to Elrond.
"This battle is pointless, retreat and my Elves will not follow." Thranduil offered.
"I know not to trust you, she is hidden inside the palace and I plan to find her." Elrond lifted up his sword and pointed it at Thranduil again.
"Lord Elrond, your daughter is missing! She has been for hours. This fighting is meaningless!" Legolas cried out as he tried to stopped the two elves from fighting.
"If I kill the one responsible for her abduction in the first place, I can be at peace with myself." Elrond looked straight at Thranduil with rage filled eyes.
"Legolas," Thranduil called. "Why don't you show Lord Elrond what will happen if he continues this battle?" Legolas' father smirk as Legolas smirked as well. He lifted his bow and fired an arrow. It hit a Rivendell Elf in the neck and killed him instantly.
"This battle will still go on." Elrond shouted and lunged for Thranduil. He quickly dodged and nodded to Legolas.
"I guess you won't miss your son either." Legolas spoke which stopped Elrond in his tracks. Legolas glanced at Elrohir, one of the two warrior Elf twins.
"No.. You wouldn't dare!" Elrond warned.
"I would."
