Okay guys, so, get this! I WROTE ANOTHER CHAPTER! HUZZAH! Yeah, don't count on another one soon, though a girl can try. I looked at my document for it, and went: "I need to write more." and so I did. Rejoice, sing, dance in the streets, or do whatever it is you people do when you get an updated chapter.
Warning: Swearing. We haven't even gotten to the racy parts yet, but the swearing totally makes this 'M'.
Disclaimer: This belongs to CLAMP, the Cinderella story belongs to The Brothers Grimm, the plot belongs to me.
Read, review, and fangirl on!
Kazahaya POV
I face him and glare, something that we were both coming quite used to, "I'm not telling you anything else. But now you have to explain to me what you just meant by 'read them all'."
"I can read lies. I know when somebody is lying to me- so I know that you saw something." He straightforward tells me and stands, hands in fists at his side, "Now you have to tell me what you saw."
"I haven't told the readers what I saw! Why would I tell you?" Thanks narrator, butting in again.
"Because I'm going to abuse my power and order you if you don't hand it over willingly."
I bite my lip. That is a very good reason to tell him, but I have my pride god dammit, and I'd rather be punched than give into him.
"No." I stand to leave.
"I order you to tell me." He snaps grabbing my forearm. The bastard apparently forgets stuff when he's angry.
I get dragged into his emotions quickly and my knees can't hold me up against the wave of anger that floods through my body. He catches me and the anger partically turns into confusion.
That's the last emotion I feel before I'm forced farther into a vision.
"Rikuo, what are you doing?" A girl stands behind me.
"I'm not sure. . ." I answer, looking at my hands, "My name isn't Rikuo, though. . ."
"Syaoran will be cross if he finds you tending to the flowers instead of him." She giggles, and I rise from the ground.
"Who's Syaoran? Who are you?" I notice my line of sight is much lower than it normally is.
"I know, the Hydrangeas are your favourite, but leave them got a moment. I need to speak to you."
"About what?"
"Yes, let's talk in the veranda. It's a much better place for conversation."
My body moves against my will and follows the beautiful girl into the veranda and sits.
"You know that I'll be getting married soon, right?"
"What?" I ask, not following the conversation."
She laughs, "The whole castle has been in an uproar about it- running here and there. I swear, it's been chaos."
". . ." What the hell is going on here. It's obvious that she's not talking to me, but at the same time talking to me.
"The guy is wonderful, you don't have to worry about me, Rikuo. I'll be in good hands, and you know that I can take care of myself. . ."
"You don't look like it." I mutter.
She laughs again, "Yes, I know. I'll make a great queen- give all those kings a run for their money. But you'll be an even better one than I'll be- a king I mean."
"So you're definitely talking to Rikuo." I say aloud, "So you must be. . . the princess. I heard that you married someone from a neighboring kingdom somewhere-"
"I know. I have to leave in the morning. I wish that you'd come to the wedding. But I promise to write to you. I won't leave you alone, I know how lonely this castle can get without someone right by your side."
"But he's never alone."
"Kurogane doesn't count. Rikuo, you know what I mean. You can play stupid with everyone else except for me."
"Lady Tsukiko!" A voice comes from a girl running up to us.
"There's Sakura." She stands and gives me a hug, "I promise to write to you soon, Rikuo. Be strong."
The lady leaves and I sit there. Pain lashes through me and courses through my veins. This is not a fond memory. This one hurts and leaves scars. But why, what reason would that be?
I swim back into consciousness. A worried face looks down on me, it's Kakei, which is good- because I want to talk to him, but right now I can't deal with people. All I need at the moment are a bucket and some privacy.
"Hold on Kazahaya." He murmurs, and helps me from my bed and into the bathroom down the hall. He holds back my hair as I let go on the boiling in my stomach.
"It's okay." Kakei soothes, and I pull back panting, "It'll be okay."
"Wh- where am I?" I struggle against the uneasiness and the pictures flying back into my brain.
"Home, Kazahaya. You're back at home."
"But, but I. I was-"
"Yes you were at the palace, and as soon as Rikuo grabbed your arm he realized what he was doing and let go- but by then it was too late. I figured out what was going on when I didn't see you two at the ball- I did tell Rikuo that it was best to ask you about yesterday, not me- but when I got to where you were, well," Kakei giggles and his hand covers his mouth, "he was on the verge of a breakdown. He was quite the opposite of calm and quite convinced that he'd killed you. I assured him that you were alive, though not completely well, and had him explain to me what happened. He was a little rough, but I understand the situation."
"The situation?" I stare at Kakei.
"He doesn't appreciate when people he cares about lie to him. You saw that, didn't you?"
"Saw what?"
"You saw part of his past, right?"
I advert my gaze, standing up shakily, "Yeah, I did."
"Well obviously there was enough there to knock you out for a while."
"Yeah. It hurt." I wash out my mouth in the sink, loving the taste of vomit leaving my mouth.
"So I'm guessing that it had to do with the princess."
"Tsukiko." I mutter, and Kakei smiles.
"Yes, the princess. You probably don't remember her. Rikuo was quite a bit younger than he is now, probably about ten, when she got married. But that's something that he should tell you himself. Not me."
"Why? You've never bothered with the whole interfering thing before."
"I know." There's a twinkle in Kakei's eyes, "But this is something quite close to Rikuo. You wouldn't want me to tell him about Kei, would you?"
I freeze at his comment, "No. No I wouldn't."
"So I thought." Kakei laughs, "I'll leave you alone now, but I do want to tell you. After last night I won't make you come to the third ball, but I suggest that you do. You'll be missing out if you don't."
"I don't want to come." I hiss.
Kakei smiles, "Rikuo also wanted me to tell you that he wants to apologize to you in person, if you know what that means."
"I don't." I tell him, my mind already working. Kakei shrugs and leaves.
I sigh and brush my teeth and hair. Tromping back into my room I shut the door and flop back onto my bed. Of course I know what he means. Of course I know where Rikuo is. Where else could he be?
I push myself up again and dress in normal clothes. I'm going to regret what I'm doing. I know it, but I need to know about Tsukiko.
I leave out the front door, steeling myself for the conversation that I know that I'm about to have.
"Whoever said that Cinderella wasn't confrontational never met me." I mutter and walk down the lane and into the woods.
Do I want to write another chapter? YES! Will I gain motivation to do so? Not without reviews, so please review. This series will end someday, and the entire thing will be amazing. Now, back to the drawing board.
