'Come On Over' Christina Aguilera

Jason spotted his girlfriend, correction ex-girlfriend, standing on her tippy-toes reaching for the back of her locker. He sighed and walked over to the hat-covered brunette. He reached his arm from behind her back and grabbed the lone notebook found in the back of her locker.

Kelsi turn around surprise to see Jason standing in close radius to her. She backed up against her locker and clutched her music notes close to her chest. She gave him a small smile as she waited for him to walk away so she could get past him.

Jason rocked back on his heels and held her notebook awkwardly. "So, how are you," he asked her.

"Fine," she said quietly as she stuck a lone piece of hair behind her ear. She avoided his eyes as she looked around the empty hallway. She remembered what day it was, "Why aren't you at Troy's? Isn't it that basketball team bonding thing," she asked him unsurely.

Jason closed his eyes as he thought about how pissed the guys will be if he's late. "Yeah, I was just leaving," he told her. "Just though you needed some help," he gave her a small smile.

Kelsi grabbed her notebook from his hand. "I'm doing fine," she told him in a hurt-tone.

Jason winced at her comment. "Look Kels—"

"Jason, I really have to go. Ryan told me he's needs help with the winter musical numbers," she told him as she thought up an excuse to leave. Anything she could think of to get away from him. She squeezed past his body as she quickly walked towards the music wing of East High leaving Jason looking at her.

Sharpay strolled into her kitchen to find Kelsi staring off into space, Taylor giggling into her coffee and Gabriella staring blankly into her cereal with a miserable look on her face. Sharpay groaned out loud as she knew she was going to have to fix all their problems.

She stomped over to Gabriella seeing as she was the easiest to deal with. "What's wrong," she asked in an annoyed tone. Sharpay crossed her arms across her pink and white striped tank top as she blew a lone piece of hair out of her eyes.

Gabriella looked over surprise to find Sharpay standing next to her. "Um, nothing," she told her blonde friend.

Sharpay rolled her eyes, "Cut the shit Montez. Now tell me," she ordered the brunette.

Gabriella sighed, as she knew that Sharpay wouldn't stop bugging her until she got what she wanted. "Okay, I think I'm still in love with Troy," she told her quietly.

"Oh my God," Sharpay groaned as she tipped her head back and give Gabriella pointed look. "It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out."

"Then what do I do," Gabriella asked her as she pulled down the hem of her black long-sleeve shirt.

"Fight for him," Sharpay told her simply. "And don't give me that Sarah crap," she told Gabriella as she noticed the brunette's mouth open to protest. "Just don't give him up," she told her before walking over to Taylor.

Sharpay rolled her eyes at the smiling, giggling friend. "What is wrong with you," she asked her.

Taylor looked up from her coffee and found Sharpay giving her peculiar look. "What? Nothing," Taylor said quickly.

Sharpay blew out a gust of air, "Alright, I know that's not true. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?"

"Chad took me out again," Taylor beamed. She was on cloud nine right now and didn't want that feeling to stop. Ever.

Sharpay smiled at Taylor, "I'm happy for you, Tay. You deserve this," she told her.

Taylor looked over at Sharpay. The two haven't been the best of friends but friends never less. Sharpay and Kelsi had as tight as a bond as herself and Gabriella. Also, there were the college friendships the girls formed, Kelsi and herself and Sharpay and Gabriella. Taylor knew about the strong friendship between Gabriella and Kelsi since they both worked on Twinkle Towne together but she and Sharpay have never the same kind of friendship as she had with Gabriella or Kelsi. The two had an unusual friendship. The two fought over everything but still loved each other like sisters. It felt strange not being at each other's throats.

"Thanks Sharpay," Taylor told her truly.

Sharpay smiled before strolling over to her petite friend. She took the seat next to her and propped her elbow on the chestnut table. "Kelsi, you okay," she asked quietly.

Kelsi jumped and turned to see Sharpay with a concerned look painted on her face. "Oh hey Shar," she said shakily.

Sharpay placed a hand on her shoulder and felt Kelsi jerk again. "Kelsi, are you okay," she asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Kelsi told quickly as she avoided Sharpay's eyes.

"Kelsi," Sharpay started. She gave her shoulder a small squeeze, "Really, what's wrong?"

Kelsi put her head in her folded arms. "I don't know, I just keep having this dream where he's there and I couldn't get out. The police still haven't caught him and I still can't get his face."

Sharpay sighed as she realized her friend was talking about the robbery. "It will be alright, Kels. Take the day off," she suggested though she meant it as an order.

Kelsi nodded as she kept her head down.

Zeke looked up from his mixing bowl to find Sharpay and Gabriella walk into his shop. He gave them a wave as he returned to his project. He heard them talking about in hushed tones.

"Something wrong," he asked the two. He more directed his question more towards the blonde.

Sharpay looked over at Gabriella before answering. "Nothing, just Kelsi stuff," she said as vague as possible.

"She okay," he asked them. He placed his bowl on the countertop.

"Is who okay," Chad asked as he walked into the store. He stood behind Gabriella and looked between the three friends.

"Kels and we don't know," Gabriella said answering both their questions. She sighed as she looked at her watch, "Hey, I have to go. Bye," she called back as she quickly walked over to the door and walked out.

"So, what are we going to do about Kelsi," Chad asked Sharpay. He crossed his arms across his chest waiting.

Sharpay gave them a surprise look at their willingness towards helping Kelsi. "I don't know. I guess we just need to be there," she told them.

"Hey, I have a question," Zeke called towards Sharpay. "What is the story behind her fiancé," he asked curious.

Sharpay bit her lip before answering. She saw both Chad and Zeke looking at her with inquiring eyes. "Alright, fine. I'll tell you two," she told the told, sighing.

Troy walked down Manhattan looking for a certain sigh. He walked past various people, some with children, some rushing to work. He finally found the building and hopped up the steps. He buzzed the button waiting for it to open. He heard the drilling sound that indicated that the door was unlocked.

He walked up the steps and passed small stores and offices before stopping on the fourth floor. He gathered his thoughts before opening the door and walking towards an unexpected Gabriella.

Chad laughed as Taylor told him about a party she and Kelsi went to in college.

"It took me a week to get that stuff out of my hair," Taylor giggled to him. She took a bite out of her grilled tomato and cheese sandwich.

"Nice," Chad commented as he took a bite out of his streak and cheese sub. He grinned at Taylor as she returned it.

"Thanks for inviting me for lunch," she told him. "I miss this. Hanging out with you," Taylor stated.

"Me too," Chad added. He knew that they would have to have this conversion sooner or later. "Taylor, I really want to talk to you about something," he told her.

Taylor noticed the seriousness in his tone. "What is it?"

Chad let out a nervous breathe, "You and I have been hanging out a lot and been having a good time. So, I think we should take the next step. I want you to be my girlfriend. Again," he added as he gave her a grin.

Taylor laughed at Chad's cuteness, "Yes! I love that," she told him quickly as she nodded her head in response.

Chad laughed and leaned over to give her a sweet kiss.

Zeke looked back to find Sharpay flipping through a magazine as she took a bite out of her salad. He saw her give him a grin before turning her attention to the magazine.

"Hey, Shar," he asked her. Zeke tried to settle the butterflies in his stomach.

"Yes," Sharpay asked him. She cocked her head to the side as she waited for him to continue.

"Never mind," Zeke said quickly. He returned to his muffin mix as his thoughts jumbled in his head.

Sharpay shrugged her shoulders before returning her attention to the magazine. She flipped through the pages as she heard the sliver bell ring. She looked over to see Jason walk into the store.

"Jay," Zeke called over to him as he watched his friend take the seat next to Sharpay. "How was work," he asked him.

"Crazy," Jason yawned. He ruffled his hair as he leaned his head against the counter.

Sharpay took a sip out of her iced-coffee as she glared at Jason. After all Kelsi's been through she really didn't need the drama of dating.

Zeke noticed Sharpay's glowering eyes as he mixed the bowl. He knew she was about to blow up and he didn't want to be near the exposition. "I have to go check something. WAY over there," he pointed to the kitchen. He almost sprinted to his sanctuary.

Sharpay rolled up her magazine and thwacked Jason across the head.

"Ow! What the hell," Jason rubbed the side of his head. He glared at the blonde.

"For being an moron," Sharpay exclaimed at the dark-haired boy. She crossed her arms and returned his glare.

"What are you talking about," Jason asked confused.

Sharpay let out a huff of air, "Kelsi. Ring a fucking bell," she asked him. "God Jase! What are you doing with her?"

"Alright! First of all, she kissed me and ran away. Second, she was the one who doesn't tell me anything. And third, my love-life is none of your business," Jason told her, rattling off a list.

Sharpay twisted and turned her arms in frustration. "Jason! She is scared! Do you not get that? But, I know she still has feelings for you," she told him. "Just be patient," she advised him.

Jason looked over to Sharpay and saw her earnestness. "I guess I should go talk to her," he said in general not directing it towards the blonde.

"Yeah," Sharpay said in a 'duh' tone. She smiled as she watched him walk out.

Gabriella sat at the small table that was built for children. She cut out the butterflies from the colorful paper when she heard the door open. She thought it was Joyce, the head of the day-care but was surprised to find Troy walking in.

"Hey," Gabriella said softly as she placed the paper on the table. She was surprise to find him here, in the same place as her.

"Hey," Troy smiled as he took a seat in the tiny plastic chair. "I just needed to apologized for yelling at you a couple of days ago. You were right and I'm sorry for blowing up at you. I guess it should've been Sharpay instead of you," he joked lightly.

"Sharpay," Gabriella asked him with a confused look.

"And you didn't know she told Sarah. Great," Troy said to himself.

"Yeah," Gabriella breathed out. "Is that it," she asked as she played with the hem of her black shirt.

"Um, yeah. I guess I should leave," Troy mumbled as he struggled to get out of the seat and away from Gabriella.

Gabriella remembered Sharpay's words this morning. "Wait," she called out. "Maybe you could stay. Help me with this," she suggested.

Troy whipped his head in confusion but soon his face melted back into a grin. He picked up an extra pair of scissors and a sheet of blue-colored paper. "So, what are we doing," he smiled at Gabriella.

Taylor smiled as she watched Chad and Ryan catch up on things. They were currently near the clear window found in Zeke's shop while she was over on the other side. She returned her attention to Sharpay and Amanda as the two discussed the upcoming baby.

Sharpay clapped her hands together, "This is so exciting! A baby," she beamed.

"I think she's more excited than me," Amanda commented to Taylor in a hushed tone.

Taylor laughed, "I support that theory."

--

"So, what's up with you and Taylor," Ryan asked Chad in a knowing tone. He laughed as he watched Chad quickly divert his eyes from Taylor.

"We're dating. Exclusively," Chad added with a grin.

"What," Zeke exclaimed from behind Chad. "When did this happen," he asked him for details.

"Today," Chad stated. He noticed the two boys missing from their group, Troy and Jason. He knew that Troy wouldn't be here since he's always busy or hanging out with Sarah. "Where's Jay," he asked Zeke.

"I think he went to the apartment," Zeke told. In reality he knew his friend was there.

Chad nodded in understanding. "So, Ryan. Tell me about that musical shit you did," Chad asked him.

Ryan rolled his eyes at the Chad-like question before answering.

Jason hopped up the steps as he noticed that that the time was currently nine o'clock at night. After Sharpay's talk, he began to roam around town in an effort to calm his nerves. It didn't work.

He took a breath before knocking on it as he waited it to open. He heard rustling on the other side before he heard the lock unclick. "Hey," he said brightly to the surprised brunette.

Kelsi leaned her head against the doorframe as she waited for a reason why her ex was standing at her door. The same guy who shut the door in her face not too long ago.

Jason sighed noticing her confusion, "I thought you might need a friend. So, here I am," he told her.

"Why," Kelsi asked him softly. She ignored the small butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

Jason gave her a small smile before stepping into her home. He stuck his hands into his grey sweatpants and rocked back on the heels of his white sneakers. He took in her straightened hair that was pulled up into a pony at the top head with dark pieces that framed her face. "Just because," he answered her question.

Kelsi tugged on the extra-long sleeves of her grey pull over sweatshirt. She tightened the string of her green-plaid pajama pants. She gave him a small smile that didn't reach her eyes. "Want to watch movies with me," she suggested to him.

Jason shrugged his broad shoulders, "Sure." He followed her to the couch she was sitting at and took the seat next to her small body. He placed his arms across the top of the couch so Kelsi could lean against his side.

Kelsi smiled as she noticed that Jason was trying to make her feel safe. She leaned herself against his strong body as felt him bring his arm around her open side. She curled her legs under herself and blinked off the doziness.

Gabriella quietly crept into the apartment at a late hour. She was surprised to find herself and Troy laughing and joking the whole time. They finally noticed that it was well past midnight and bolted home.

Gabriella locked the door behind her and quietly walked past the two figures found on the couch. She quietly opened her door and snuck through the door.

She let out a short yelp as she saw a dark figure sitting on her bed. She flicked on the light and let out a relieved sigh. "Sharpay," she whispered-shouted to the blonde.

Sharpay crossed over Gabriella and folded her arms. "Where have you been? I've been waited for you for hours," she scolded her in a hushed-tone.

Gabriella rolled her eyes at Sharpay's 'mother' tone. "Sorry. I was with Troy," she told her without thinking.

Sharpay let out a silent squeal as she grabbed Gabriella's hands. She jumped up and down with Gabriella. "This is great," she squealed quietly.

Gabriella returned the dance in a joking manner. "Whoo. Yeah. Can I go to bed now," she told her.

Sharpay dropped her hands and pouted. "Fine. Night. Love you," she called out before leaving her bedroom.

Gabriella rolled her eyes as she tugged off her shirt and jeans. She threw on her pajama bottoms on and a grey t-shirt. She crawled into her bed as she flicked off her light.

She yawned as the day's events played out in her head. Gabriella went to sleep with a smile on her face.
