"Brother?! I...uhhh...well. Brother?" the past Piper stuttered.
While both Pipers were trying to reconcile with this sudden revelation, both Phoebes were trying to get an empathetic read on their young nephew. The past Phoebe felt the emotions of all those around her, but as always Chris was a rock. The silence in the room was getting to Paige and as the norm, she couldn't stop herself from making a sarcastic comment.
"That explains so much, how you knew the house, us, the book, jeez kid you never do anything half way do you?" Future Paige quipped.
Leo couldn't believe any of this, this was the man who destroyed his marriage. How was this his baby boy at home? The one who he loved with all his heart? His future self looked shocked, he obviously didn't know about any of this either. His family had been conned once by Chris Perry and he must have done something to his real son. Leo wasn't going to let that happen again. "I don't believe you. There is no way that you could be my son. My son wouldn't have lied, and manipulated his family the way you did!"
Chris looked down ashamed, "I'm not at all proud of it Dad...I mean Leo. It was unintentional, the pain I caused you, but if I hadn't of lied I could have altered the time space continuum and messed up so much..."
Genevieve cut him off swiftly, "No. Christopher don't you dare apologize for saving everyone on the freaking planet. If you hadn't of lied and 'manipulated' as you so crudely put it Leo, then the world would have been hell! Our children would be living in a war zone with an uncle who wanted them dead and a father who was desperately trying to keep a family together with members dropping like flies. If you hadn't gone our kids would never have the loving family they do in this world! So all of you just finding out about this, which is the majority of you, if you don't have anything kind and/or supportive to say, then you all shove it up your..."
"Gen, we get it!" Wyatt jumped in cutting off his sister-in-law.
Melinda and Victor were both biting back laughter despite the seriousness of the situation. Their parents both had fiery tempers and it was downright funny to see them go off on someone who wasn't them. When their mother whipped around they both sobered up, but they still found the situation comical.
Everyone in the room was in shock, trying to process this bombshell along with the different familial outbursts coming from Chris's revelation. Piper felt like an incompetent mother, how did she not recognize her own son? Her own flesh and blood!"I'm so sorry. Chris, sweetheart I am so unbelievably sorry for the way I treated you. You were just trying to help my...your...our family and all I could muster was hostility towards you. I think I speak for my future self as well as everyone else when I say how truly sorry I am."
Chris just looked up at all the eyes searching his face, seeing a mix of love and pride in the people he thought would shun him. All he could think to say in that moment was, "Thanks guys."
Genevieve smiled, feeling a slight tug at her gut. All her good feelings disappearing, she needed more time to explain everything to Chris, and Melinda. Victor looked at her feeling the same tug she did. The feeling of an approaching Elder, with news for the family. The swirl of bright light grabbed the entire families attention. The face of Odin, an old Elder came into view with displeasure painted across his features. He set his lips in a frown, "Genevieve, you haven't complied with your orders. Where is the witch?"
Everyone began staring at the young whitelighter, what witch was the Elder talking about?
"Odin, there is no way I will bring you this girl, I gave my life once to keep her from you, and I will give my afterlife for her as well," Gen stared down the Elder with a mother's determination.
"I've told you Genevieve, it is her destiny to die. It is for the greater good, her death will bring about a permanent advantage to the side of good, and your little protection spell your death brought about won't stop us for long. You've been warned," Odin shouted, orbing out.
Chris looked at his wife, and asked the question on everyone's mind, "Do you mind telling us what the hell that was about?"
Genevieve wiped a tear from her eye, and looked at her family, "That Chris was the reason why I had to die."
Wyatt looked between the two, "You died in a demon attack, you were alone in the house and you were ambushed. I mean come on Gen, come on"
"No Wyatt, I made it look like a demon attack to make it simpler for everyone else, because the fewer people who knew, the safer she was. You have to understand, it was to keep her safe."
"Who are you protecting Gen? WHO?" Chris shouted.
