Chapter 10: Nightmare

Hans found him self standing in a garden, his lungs gasping for air. He confusedly Looked around; What was a pretty hard job since the world was foggy and grey. He could almost see nothing.

"Help!, where am i?!" The Prince walked in the fog and searched for life. He could hear a man softly shouting his name. "Hans!...Hans!..." Hans recognized the voice immediately. He started to run.

"Dad!" The prince ran through the fog, lured by his father's voice. But his dad wasn't there, there was only a Rosebud. The rose opened his bud slowly. It tried to get away from the twelve bugs. However turned out to be a beautiful rose with his colors standing out. But when the rose grew bigger and bigger, the inside started to rotten and become ugly. however it didn't dry out the outer leaves. The outer leaves stayed big and bright. Though the inside was completely rotten and dead. Hans moved away from the rose.

"Dad! i am here! Hans!" Hans walked through the fog. He saw his dad standing there, sick and old.

"Dad! What happened?!" The Prince ran to his dad. But then Suddenly a wall build in front of him with twelve ginormous stones. "Let me through! i need to help my father!" The wall didn't break nor move and trapped the prince. Hans panicky looked around. But he couldn't somehow move.

"Please! My dad is sick and is going to die!" Hans looked around the wall. His dad fell down on the ground and coughs incessantly. His skin became pale and eventually his eyes gazed dead at Hans. The prince's eyes filled with tears: He felt like he failed. He was never in time to save his dad. He failed at life. After his father died a tulip appeared: Young and fresh. It was happy cause she stood next to the snowdrop. But suddenly the core of the tulip broke. And the Snowdrop bowed her stem.

Hans turned his head away, he didn't want to see it. The stone wall and the flowers, his dad dying and his illusion. He closed his eyes: Hoping it would disappear.

Hans' head shoots forward and he tried to sit, but immediately as he tried he felt a awful pain through his chest and he fell back in his pillow. He blinks a couple times with his eyes. His head felt heavy and breathing was a challenge. He looked down at his body. Hans didn't wear a shirt, only some pajamas pants and bandages near his ribs and head. The prince was really tucked in with blankets. Hans looked around, realizing that this was his room. A shot of memories flashed in Hans mind. Still remembering the nightmare.

"Calm down Hans...It's was just a nightmare..." Hans tried to stand up but fell again. His ribs just hurted too much. He turned his head and saw in a chair a girl sleeping, her hand supporting her head. Hans frowned his forehead. He knew exactly who it was. Only one girl had that platinum hair and big eyes.

"Queen Elsa..." Mutters he. "What is she doing here?" At that moment Elsa woke up. She stretch her arms and legs. . Elsa looked around the room and noticed Hans.

"Oh good, you're awake." She stood up and walked to the dresser and grabbed a wet wash hand.

Hans still had a confused look on his face. "How long have i been out?" Elsa walked back and laid down the wash hand on his forehead. "Around eight hours...some doctors took care of you."

"Eight hours...Damn!" Hans thought of what happened. "Lionel's face!" Hans looked down. Suddenly he felt that he didn't wear gloves. He grabbed the blanket extra tight.

"What...What happened to Lionel?"

Elsa sat back in the chair. "His face is half burned. He will probably carry that as a scar for the rest of his life. I don't know yet, haven't see him around."

"Why are you here?" asked Hans on a harsh tone.

Elsa looked up and her eyes turned cold."Hey! i took care of you for the last five hours, Prince!"

"Yeah, that is why i am asking why are you here? You could just have sent a maid to take care of me!"

"Because some maids died on the docks!" Hans' eyes went big. Elsa turned her head away from Hans. "Sorry..." Mutters she, with a stressed face. They both remainded silence for a long time. Hans thought that Elsa must be tired if she really had taken care of him. Elsa sighed. She stood up and put a thermometer in Hans' mouth.

"42 degrees..." She stared confused at the thermometer. "How..." Mutters she. Elsa walked away from the bed. with the thermometer still in her hand. Hans turned his head away from her, gazing out the window. He wasn't sick nor did he fell ill. He was always that warm inside since the day he remembered. Elsa walked to the door.

"This thing must be broken. I'll get a new one." Then Elsa left the room.

Hans sighs, his head hurts a lot and he felt broken. The memories of yesterday flashed through his head. He could feel the pain, His hand being ungloved, Lionel's angry face. It was clear, Lionel would always blame everything on him, no mater wich situation. He would always be the guilt of the family. Hans had always that one memory that had haunt him forever since he was a kid.

Elsa walked through the halls. "Why should i even be bothered to take care of him! It's that Fredbjorn asked me to do it." Elsa looked for another thermometer. She walked through the castle. The memories of yesterday flashed in Elsa's head too.

After Lionel left her alone at the docks she had been looking for her horse. After she found her horse she had been hurrying to the castle. The flames were getting closer.

Elsa tried really hard to ignore the screams and a little boy crying for his mama, wood burning like crazy. After she entered the castle she inmmediatly asked for Prince Lionel. The guards told her that he ran to the dungeons. So she ran to the dungeons too.

After a run of two minuts she heard a skull clashed to something hard. She then ran even faster. She rememberd the route she took to Hans' cell and when she entered the cell two men were laying on the ground.

One bloody heavy near his head, the other one had a half burned face. It was even worse when she realized that the two men Lionel and Hans were. Her world had turned into a hell. How in the world could Lionel beat up his own brother? How in the world was Lionel's face half burned? Did he caught on fire when he was near the docks? She had so many questions that she couldn't answser. And than she hasn't heard anything about Robert and Nigel. That concernd her too.

"They are most likely dead. And my ship has to be burned off too." She sighed as she walked into her room. She was only a minute in her room when she heard voices in the hall. Elsa carefully laid her ear against the door.

"What do you mean that he isn't going to get executed?!"

"Lionel, we surely don't know if it was Hans. It also could have been a bomb."

"Don't act stupid FredBjorn! We both know that he light the docks on fire."

"That would be very unlikely since he is in prison. How in the world would he be able to light a dock on fire that is atleast 4 Kilometers away?" A long silence remained.

"But he burned my face! My damn face!"

"He did, but that isn't a high enough reason to execute someone. Besides by who is Hans beaten up, huh!?"

"It's going to take around three months to build the docks again! Three months means: No trading, no letters, no tourist!"

"I am sorry Lionel, but i am not going to play your game anymore." Elsa heard his footsteps walking away.

"Three months rebuild...Three months not seeing Anna..." Elsa gazed at the door. "He burned my face! My damn face!' How in the world could Hans have burned Lionel? With a torch in the dungeon hall?"

"I am not playing your game anymore... Wich game?!" Elsa confusedly sat down on her bed. "I'll write a letter to Anna. Maybe a pigeon can send the letter."

Elsa walked to the little desk and grabbed a pencil and paper.

Dear Anna,

It's has been crazy days for me! There is so much you need to know, and there is so much that i don't even know!

Where should i even start? First of all: I miss you so much! I wish i could go home. Back with you and Olaf, oh ya! And Snowflake, Kristoff, Sven!

But home isn't anywhere near. Yesterday the docks of The Southern Isle's exploded. I think atleast 50 deaths will count. I didn't get any harm. Arendelle ship is most likely burned down.

Hans brother: Lionel, has a half burned face. And Hans self has been beaten up badly.

Dear Anna i'll have to miss you for atleast three months.

Queen Elsa.

Elsa let out a tear. She realized that she had to miss her sister for three months. She puts the letter in a white with a green design. She would post the letter later that day. She first needs to find a new thermometer. She stood up and walked into her own private bathroom. She opened the cabinet above the sink.

"Let's see...Bandages, medicene, toilet paper, tooth brush, thermometer!" She grabbed the thermometer and walked out of her bathroom. Elsa looked at herself in the mirrow, she had blue circles around her eyes.

"I should really get to bed, but first get this thermometer to Hans." She sprayed some perfume and walked out of her room, still thinking about yesterday, Lionel and Fredbjorn. Confused about everything, She made her way to Hans' bedroom. Elsa knocked softly on the door.

"No reply...He must be sleeping." She entered the Hans' bedroom. Hans was sleeping tight, having trouble with sleeping. He was sleeping with short gasps. Elsa carefully walked to the bed and tabbed on the blankets. Hans slowly opened his eyes. She sat down on the bed.

"hey, i got you the new thermometer." Elsa waved with the thermometer. Hans opened his mouth. Elsa carefully slides the thermometer in his mouth. They were staring at each other for a couple minutes. Hans smiled weakly at Elsa, still with the thermometer in his mouth. Elsa grabbed the thermometer back.

"What!? Still 42 degrees!? How in the..." Elsa glanced at Hans. She laid her hand on his forehead.

"You are really warm..." Elsa back away her hand. "Or maybe it is my powers?"

"It could be your powers..." They remained silence.

"If i may ask...What happened yesterday?"

Hans avoided the cold glance from the Queen. "Why are you conserend about that?"

"Because i feel involved in this situation...So what happened yesterday?"

"I don't know what happened outside the castle walls, so i'm not able to tell you much."

"Well, you could actually tell me a lot over why you here. Since you and Lionel are the only two witnesses."

"Fine, I was sitting on my bench when i heard a loud bang. And then around ten minuts later Lionel came in, all angered and pissed. I didn't know what happened. He grabbed my head and started to slam it against the wall. I could escape the cell and grabbed a torch. He was about to punch me so i threw the torch at him. He punched me again in the rib. And well...You know the rest."

Elsa listend attentively. "Hmm, good to know." She stood up and walked to the door.

"i asume you wouldn't lie to me Prince Hans Westerguard...I'll tell your story to Fredbjorn."

Hans rolled with his eyes. "Good day Queen Elsa."

"Good day... Hans." And then she left.
