urphy was leaving the hospital in a few hours and was glad to be too. She had been bored since she first woke up. Though she still was dizzy, sore and no where close to walking. Going home seemed to be the only thing she wanted. That's when she heard the door click and looked up to see John coming in the room. He smiled at her and she smiled back.

"So what have you been doing today?" John asked.

"Ate breakfast and finished a few Doctor Who replays. Did you go on any cases today?"

"Not today I had work till noon and then I came here. But Murphy there's something I want to talk to you about. What would you think of moving flats? Without Mary our flat seems to big or hollow you could say. And Mary and I split the rent, without her it's a lot harder."

"I wouldn't mind but where?"

"221B has two extra bedrooms, you could have your own room its a bigger room than your current one and my old bedroom has been left the same way for years."

"Okay when will we move?"

" I'll have to check with mrs. Hudson but probably with a week or two."

A short nurse walked in to tell Murphy and John that they could leave once they checked out. Stubbornly she refused a wheel chair and insisted she could use crutches. They walked through the parking lot to the car. On the way home Murphy gazed out the window. It seemed forever since she had been outside.

When they reached the flat Murphy hobbled out of the car waiting for John. He then unlocked the door and Murphy plopped down on the couch not realizing there was a huge stuff animal on the couch she almost rolled off. She caught herself then turned and saw a card taped to it also.

"Uncle John what is this?" Murphy called.

"I believe it's a present from Sherlock."

She opened the envelope to find a card on the front was a picture of her and John posing in front of a elephant from when they all went to the zoo. On the inside in precise cursive was written "hope you feel better soon.- Sherlock Holmes". She then hugged the huge elephant stuff animal and exclaimed to John how cute it was. Murphy and John had dinner then both throughout exhausted went to bed. Murphy climbed under her covers as gently as possible with her sore ribs and broken leg then switched the lamp on to read. A few minutes later John came in to tell her goodnight.

"Ellie the elephant takes up almost half the bed!" John spoke as he walked in.

"Yes, but she is soft and is cuddly."

John kissed her on the forehead and told her to get some sleep. He himself walked to his room and went straight to bed also. It was around two in the morning he heard soft crying from the other room he immediately got up and almost ran to Murphy's room. There she was looking small and weak caught in the midst of a nightmare.

"Dad, da, help." She cried into her pillow asleep.

John gently ran his hand down her back waking her up. She sat up awkwardly trying not to cause sharp pains in her ribs. John hugged her tight and she sobbed into his shoulder for a few minutes as John said comforting things.

"Murph, do you want to talk about it?"

"The dog, german Shepard was chasing me," she stopped to sniffle"and then it almost got me but you woke me up."

"Is that what the bite mark and break from?"

"Yep."

"It's alright now I'll hear you and wake you up if you have another nightmare."

Before John left the room he heard Murphy murmur "goodnight dad."
