Grumbling Katara kept walking not really caring where she was going at the moment. The thoughts of someone other then her kissing Aang(not only that but probably being his first kiss at that). Even just showing him real attention to another girl. It just irked her for reason she really could not explain.

The young water tribe girl then gave an angry shout, swatting at something that got in her way. However because she was close to body of water, her bending acted up again yet again and again as a result someone got caught up in it. Hearing that person let out rather startled cry she went to check on them to make sure that they were okay and she did not accidentally do anything harm to them.

She was shocked when she found that it was none other then Zuko's uncle Iroh. Who she had not seen since the time they were in the North Pole, ironically fighting against Zhao rather helping him.

"Oh hello there Miss Katara. It been awhile seen we have last met" he said once he turned his attention to her.

"What are you doing here are you after Aang again" she asked in defensive stance

Ready to not some much as to fight but as to distract him long enough to find the others again. Zuko and those that they have dealt with before were one thing. However she had heard of Iroh's nickname of the Dragon of the West in their travels around the Earth Kingdom.

"I was never after the Avatar in the first place so you have nothing to worry about" he told her.

Huh?…but you were with Zuko and he was trying to capture Aang so… Katara said rather shocked at this.

"That is correct Zuko was trying to catch him but I never was" his uncle said as he interrupted her.

Noticing the confusion on her face he then sat down and motion Katara to sit down along side him. Worried at first as he was aligned with Zuko in a way so she did not want to let her guard down. That blue fire wield girl and her group were enough to deal with already. She did not want worry about him and Zuko again too. Eventually she did sit beside him but remain on guard trying to be ready if need be.

"Zuko has been searching for something and he believed that something can be obtained by captured the Avatar. However…." Iroh started out

"It is not like his honor will just come back merely because he hands Aang over to his father" Katara interrupted.

"That what Zuko has convinced himself to be what he searching for. However that might not be the case, at least not entirely, as my nephew has started to figure that out for himself leaving him confused and angry" he explained.

"So if you know what it he searching for why not tell him instead of apparently leaving him to his struggle to find it on his own then" she said.

"That would be counter productive as you can not tell someone something like this. You must allow them to find it for themselves. Otherwise the result will not stick or they merely revert back have not truly understood anything" Zuko's uncle explained.

Katara tried arguing against this as did not really make much sense to her. This Iroh offered a counter point.

"Did the Avatar tell you immediately that's who he was or that he wanted to fight the Fire Nation when he learned of the war" he asked.

Of course the answer to this was no as it took being captured by Zuko and some other things before Aang decided to do that.

"Forcing change upon one that is not ready so suddenly can have disastrous side effects. Not all people know how to deal with choices dropped into their laps so suddenly. While they might chose wrong or even fail to pick anything at all. Forcing them into doing something they are not truly ready for is not helping them. Believing that they will find the way and guiding and supporting them when they need it is important" he said

Katara took a sip of the tea she had been offered that Iroh had made while they were talking. Having convinced her that there was nothing inside it. Claiming that he was never ever doing something like that with tea as that would a disservice to the tea itself.

"I take you are out here alone cause someone has finally managed to catch the Avatar's attention other then yourself" Iroh said which nearly cause Katara to spit out the tea she was drinking at the moment.

"Well that understandable as he might be the avatar but Aang is a boy. He would of course fine someone that peak his interest even if it is just his curiosity in them as person. After all you have done that many times yourself already even with my nephew" he said.

After explaining things even though she did not know why she was sitting there telling all this to the uncle of the guy that had been trying to capture them for months now.

"That certainly is interesting as Aang is a teacher to his earthbending teacher. Rather then let your jealously get the better of you, it would be wiser to help this girl out. She might look to the Avatar for guidance on many issue but there are some he will not be able to help with. That where you sure come in provided the support he is not able to" he said.

"Jealous…me…of her why would I be" Katara said in non-convincing manner.

"Again this something you put the young Avatar though many time already. Did you think that he felt nothing as he saw you giving attention to other guys. That very attention he wanted you to give towards him yet never have apparently" Iroh said.

"I have given Aang lots of attention" Katara told him getting angry.

"You are well aware of the Avatar's feeling for you are you not" Iroh asked.

"Of course! I know Aang like me and well…I…" Katara trails off

"You certainly do not act like it at times. So why get this angry or jealous just because the table have turned" he said.

While Katara was still thinking this over Iroh left her to her thoughts. Saying he need to continue looking for Zuko, not to lecture him but to just be there for him should he need the support and offer his guidance if needed.
