A/N: Sorry it has been a few months, guys. But don't worry, I'm still here and writing! Here is your beloved chapter 10.

After eating breakfast in the hotel, Sakura and I decide that we would leave later today. We went back to our second floor room and packed our bags. "You got everything?" I question. She rolls her eyes. "Of course I do. I've been prepared to leave pretty much since we got here." She teases while putting the straps onto her shoulders. "Don't forget your cloak, Sakura. It'll protect us from useless fights with bounty hunters." I pick up my own from the bed and pull it onto myself. She does the same and then we leave the small bedroom.

We walk down the halls with our hoods over our heads, and surprisingly are overlooked by the many bystanders. At the main floor we leave our key at the front entrance, then grab the heavy doors and pull them open. "Do we have plans for the day?" Sakura asks as we walk out into the blinding sunlight. I shake my head no. "Let's spend a few more minutes in this small town, and then we can head out on our journey." She gives me a smile and says a short okay.

As we walked through the flourishing town, we noticed multiple booths that were still open. Not as many people were surrounding the small stands, but many people were still out on the streets enjoying the festival. Sakura seemed interested in a few games, but I had to tell her that we needed to use our money sparingly.

"Sasuke, how long do you think our money will last?" Sakura stares up at me with quizzical green eyes after receiving another no about a dessert stand. "I haven't counted yet, but I know it isn't much. Let's find a seat and count it." We look around until I spot the bench next to the dango shop from the previous night. I point to it and start to head over after she nods her head in agreement.

We sit down, then I pull out the small bag from my hood pocket. I pour it into her hands and she quickly takes inventory. "Well…I think we have enough for a few weeks. But that means living in the wilderness and hunting for our food some. Do you know our terrain pretty well, Sasuke-kun?"

"Yeah…and we aren't too far from the Land of Fire, meaning—"

"The Leaf Village is close." she finishes while placing the money back into the small pouch. "We are wanted criminals in every village, Sakura. This means that we will have to stay low and sneak into the area." I also don't know if I really want you to help with this… Sakura frowns, as if she is reading my thoughts. "I understand, Sasuke. I just want to get this over with, you know?"

I nod, knowing how impatient I have been about the situation. "Sakura, I have a favor to ask…and it should help both of us be a little more patient." She looks up at me curiously. "What is it, Sasuke?" I look around at the many smiling faces and laughing families, and decide this is not a good place to discuss it. "I think it's time we leave. I'll explain once we are in the town's outskirts." She raises her eyebrow in response, then follows my lead as I stand up and start for the town's exit.

I catch her eyes glimmering when the families walk by our hooded silhouettes. I even see a genuine smile spread across her face when a few girls in kimonos bow to presumably their parents. A few boys run past us while wearing newly bought kabuki masks, and she giggles when they start to play fight. Suddenly there is a somewhat loud thud, and before I can do anything she is gone from my side. I turn around and find her figure leaning over a boy's leg. Although the rest of her is still hidden under her cloak, Sakura's hand is outstretched and glowing from her healing chakra.

She kindly calms the boy as he starts to whimper, then helps him up once she is finished. "You boys need to be careful, all right? Save your awesome moves for when you become real ninja!" They nod their heads after she ruffles their hair. "okay, go on you two!" She shoos them away and they start to run off the opposite direction.

Sakura turns to me and a slight pink creeps onto her face. I give her a slight smirk once she reaches my side. "You're so helpful." I hear myself say out loud. Her blush deepens, but she waves her hand to dismiss my words. "It's nothing. That's why I learned this jutsu, right? To heal those in need. I learned it to help you, but you aren't the only one getting hurt around here." She gives me a wink and continues on her way. I shake my head. Did she really learn to do that to save me? She thinks so, but what if she starts to remember all the people from her past that she saved?

"Ya coming?" I let my thoughts leave as I take the few strides to catch up to her now waiting figure. She reaches for my hand and I let her intertwine her fingers with mine. "I'm sure you've helped someone, Sasuke. Not me or else I wouldn't have lost my memories." She teases, "but…I think you have helped someone out there." I've helped Tobi by taking control of you...I think as I look into her happy eyes.

Once we are a few miles out of the town and into the dirty and barren land, I decide to take a break. Sakura hasn't shown her discomfort, but we had been walking for a few hours by this point. "Okay, Sakura. this should be fine." I set my bag down onto the dusty walkway, then start to rummage through it until finding the scroll I was looking for. "So, Sasuke. What is it that you want me to do for you?"

"Before I tell you, we are going to be switching locations." I throw the scroll down and it opens up a purple glowing light, then sucks us both into it. We appear in a different dimension that contains a tall, cascading waterfall and many blueberry bushes. A few trees are around us as well, but other than that it is nothing. No sky or sun, yet light is falling onto everything we see. I roll the scroll up and stick it back into my bag. "Sasuke-kun, what was that!?" I shrug.

"I learned a thing or two from Tobi's teleportation jutsu, then I combined it with what I already knew about Kakashi's ability. This is the first that I have made. It's just a genjutsu on both of us for the time being. Once we are done I can open the scroll again and we will be back at the outskirts of that town." Her eyes widen at the information. "Sasuke, do you have any idea how useful this is? We could use this to our advantage in—"

"I'm destroying this once we leave." I state. Her eyebrows raise up in shock, but she doesn't say anything. "This could have ended very badly, Sakura. I don't want to risk it any more than necessary. I just needed a safe haven for us at the moment so you can do something for me." At this she perks up. "What is that anyway?" I reach inside my bag and fumble around for another scroll until I find it. A small one, barely bigger than my palm. I suddenly feel a big lump in my throat from my emotions. I try to clear it, but it doesn't seem to go away.

"Sakura, can you…transplant Itachi's eyes into me?" I croak out. She gives me a bewildered look, but then finally nods her head. "If it will make you stronger, I will do anything to help." I am overpowered with my emotions and pull her into an embrace. I feel her arms tenderly wrap around me. "Thank you…" I murmur into her hair.

It's been hours since we had arrived, and now I am lying on the makeshift bed that I had inside of a scroll, but brought out before the surgery. Right now all I see is darkness. "Now, Sasuke, you are going to have to rest for a few more days, but I think you will be able to heal pretty quickly." My eyes are bandaged all up, but I can just picture her waving her finger in front of her face with a stern look while saying this to me. I slightly nod my head in reply to her. "What am I supposed to do while you heal up, Sasuke-kun?"

"Hmmm…" I was thinking the same thing. "Train." I stated simply. I hear her stirring beside me, then stand up and walk a few paces away. I hear her breathe out a light laugh. "And how exactly am I going to do that? All I see is a waterfall and berry bushes. Oh, and three trees." I try to smirk in response, but instead wince at the pain from the surgery. "You're smart, Sakura. Figure it out." She lightly taps my leg with her bare foot in response, then wanders off in the direction of the gushing waterfall.

Now I'm stuck with my own thoughts of disgust with the world and myself. I don't know how much longer I can lie to her. I can kill, I can torture, but I can not lie. Itachi lied to protect me, and I can not destroy her with this. If she finds out without my telling her…Who knows how she'll respond. My eyebrows start to knit together, which again sends shooting pain through my face and eye sockets.

You've gone years without caring about her well being, Sasuke. Why does it matter now? I question myself. Because she is innocent. Like Mother was. And you can't bear to see anymore innocent people die. I start to argue within my mind. That sickening village is the cause of all of this! We just need to destroy it! Sakura would understand if she really knew.

But then…She has family, and has befriended the whole town. Sakura has saved countless lives. All you do, Sasuke, is wreck the world. I urge my brain to stop but the hatred spills out and the emotions from the past take over, until finally I fall asleep from the painful memories.

I feel a few taps on my shoulders, but I try to ignore it and fall back into my dreamless sleep. "Sasuke-kun! Are you hungry? I have berries for you. Would you like the black berries, or the really black berries?"

"Oh. Sakura." I mumble groggily to myself. "You've been asleep for at least a day. I've been pretty bored, you know. But I guess you deserve it after the surgery…Anyway. Are you hungry or not?" I ignore her question and try to raise myself up. I feel my arms start to shake beneath my weight, but I do succeed. "What have you been doing while I was sleeping?" I ask instead.

"Well, I listened to what you said. After obliterating one of the three trees, I then bathed in the waterfall. I figure since you were sleeping and had your eyes bandaged that you wouldn't be a problem. Unlike Naruto—!" I tense up. Did she just remember something?

"Sasuke, Naruto would have done something like that, right? I don't remember you mentioning this before, so it must be a memory!" I can hear the excitement in her voice. "Uh…Yeah, I think he would have." I say slowly.

"Yeah! And—and I would punch him for those idiotic things that he would do!" I hear some swift movements and muffled speech, then realize that it is her violently throwing berries into her mouth and rambling on about how stupid Naruto was and still is.

I wonder why I remembered this first of all things…" She grumbled. "Sakura…can I have some berries?" I try to distract her. "Oh! Yeah, do you want my help or do you want me to feed them to you?" I shrug, not really thinking about the current situation. Will her memory come back soon?

I hear her say some other things as she starts placing berries into my mouth, but I can't focus on anything besides the repeating of that sentence from before I fell asleep—All you do, Sasuke, is wreck the world.

A/N: Gonna have to leave it there. Thanks for reading! I made this one longer as kind of a gift since I haven't written since Christmas. I'm trying to make every chapter at least 1,700 but preferably 2,000. It's my new goal, anyway. I hope you enjoyed it and please leave a review!
