A/N: So I don't know what you guys think, but lemme tell you, when Fan says, "This update will make things better!" I find it only makes the site worse. I couldn't update forever, and so I fell behind! Thank you for waiting and now chapter 11.
UPDATED: 11/6/2018 I always wanted their to be more of a voice for Dr. Harvey but I could never really fit it in since this is a Stretch X Kat centric story. But I changed ALOT in this chapter so re-read it carefully. James finally gets a decent moment in the sun.
Chapter 11
The plan
"So, just outta curiosity what really made you decide to shack up with dat play-boy wanna be?" Stretched asked as he lazily looked at her from the middle of his bed.
Kat, who was now standing and zipping her pants and adjusting her top frowned at the floor, "I don't know-" she started in frustration, "Oh really, I find dat hard to believe."
Kat sighed and headed for the door, "Don't ask dumb questions." she offered for lack of any real reason. Though, in truth, she knew why she had allowed Edward in. Kat even knew why she put up with his less than admirable behavior, but admitting it out loud seemed surprisingly difficult.
"Huh-uh." Stretched chided instantly and he was up and off the bed, floating before her and gripping icy fingers onto her chin, "Secrets secrets, Kat. You tell me, or I ain't letting you leave this room."
Kat stared up at those violet eyes and gave a sigh before she pulled her face out of his grasp and turned to pick up her charm from the floor, however, a cold hand to her wrist stopped her.
She slowly looked over to see Stretch glaring at her and she sighed as he ordered not so nicely, "Spill."
Kat growled and abandoned the charm, wondering back over to Stretch's bed to sit with an annoyed plop, "It's stupid really." She offered at first and Stretch scoffed, "Ain't all things fleshie related stupid? That's nothing new, your stallin' Kitten, now talk, or I am going to torture you again, this time with my tongue."
That made Kat pause and she swallowed as she looked at him, "I- I-" she thought of it all again, the same thing she had thought this morning. Seeing her own weaknesses and insecurities made her angry and she stood and stormed to the window on the far side of the room and stared out in frustration.
She was about to speak but stopped herself, the sudden view of Edward kissing Ashley shocking her from her attempted explanation.
Seconds later she felt a cold wash of air at her side and the curtains swung open, both Kat and Stretch getting a view of the secret lovers.
"Uh-huh, just as I taught." Stretch said with a confident yet bored tone.
"What? What do you mean by that? What exactly did you think?" Kat inquired angrily.
"Your sugar bear was using you, more than likely to get his grubby hands on Whipstaff."
Kat looked from Stretch to the couple outside, just barely hidden by the overgrown bushes of the gardens, "You're kidding? Why would he think- No, no way, I told him I don't own Whipstaff, I don't understand why-"
"He don't believe you, he probably assumes your bluffing, that you're wantin' to make sure he loves you for real before you commit."
"Seems like a dangerous game to play." Kat said with disgust as she glared at the couple below, still wrapped around each other, still seemingly inseparable.
"No, not a game, more like a gamble."
Kat sneered and spoke under her breath in anger, "The little bug does seem the type."
"Yeah, he do. The question is, why would the filthy rich-boy want a place like Whipstaff? Even for a snob like him, it's not worth the money he would put into it."
"Don't say that, Whipstaff is beautiful, it's my home." She turned her eyes back to the couple who were taking things a bit further than was decent and Kat swallowed thickly and looked away.
"Correction Kitten, it's our home. And I need to make sure it stays that way. No way in Hell is that grubby little shit gettin' his hands on you or da house."
Kat moved away from the window, a small smile coming to her lips as she grew satisfied with the idea of Stretch being so over-protective. Kat elected to sit in the chair in the far corner let out a sigh as she propped her feet up on the arm, "Why plan anything at all, I will just go down and give him back the ring, tell him the wedding is off, have dad kick him off the property. We can call the police if he refuses to go."
"Dat isn't enough, a man like Eddy doesn't just go when he is told. I have a feelin' we will have a fight on our hands. Especially now dat he has seen and confirmed there are ghosts in the house."
"What does that have to do with anything? Wouldn't there being ghosts in the house be a turn off for a guy like him? Remember what you said, more work than it's worth?"
"Unless he planned to profit off it, not even have to lift a finger-"
Kt sat and thought a moment, letting Stretch's words sink in and then she stood abruptly, "That jerk!" The very idea of Edward turning Whipstaff into some tourist trap making her stomach roll in disgust, "I'm going to kick his face-"
"Get over it Kitty Kat, you ain't the first intelligent woman who has been thrown over for the air-head bimbo or for money, and you won't be the last."
Kat stopped and looked at him, hands fisted at her sides as she asked breathlessly, "You think I am intelligent?" Kat asked, Stretch suddenly looking back out the window and quickly hiding his face from view.
"Yeah yeah, don't let it go to your thick fleshie head. So, what's this guys full name anyway? He some kind of billion dolla' baby or-"
"Honestly, I don't know much about him. Just that his name is Edward Nathan Horshire and he comes from the East coast. Going to school for Law or...politics...or something-"
Stretch glances at her, "Huh, engaged to the pretty boy and you don't even know what he wants to do for a living."
"Hey!" Kat snapped, "I asked him several times, he was vague at best and when he was more specific he always ended up changing his major in school anyway. I stopped trying to keep track of it all."
"And that didn't send up any red flags? Maybe you ain't so smart." he scoffed again and this time Kat fumed, crossing to her charm and scooping it up before grabbing the lock and flicking it.
The door opened a crack before it was slammed shut again and her hair twisted up around her face as the gush of cold air pressed firmly against her back. As her body was pressed against the door a hand pinned the wrist holding the charm to the old wood while her other was twisted gently behind her back, "Where you going Kat?" he whispered in her ear gently.
"Leaving."
"Yeah? Who said you could go?" Stretch asked with a cocky tone.
"I did, you are being just as big an ass as Edward and I don't have to put up with it anymore. Now let me go."
She was spun around quick and greeted by that same half formed face that came and went as often as the coastal storms. Her eyes were entranced by it, trying to figure out exactly what was causing it, what it was that made the shift happen so suddenly and if she could make out that more human face that had been just as elusive as the true intentions of the ghost before her.
"I'm sorry." the sudden honest tone made her stop fighting and she looked into those violet eyes, which suddenly faded a little towards a more natural hazel tone and her lips parted, "I am not- it don't feel natural yet to talk to you like- like a...lover. I don't...I don't wanna force- any'ting. You got some patience you can bestow on this wayward spirit? Until he relearns some of them old manners?"
Kat felt her heart soften, her mind fall into a gentle calm and she swallowed and nodded her understanding, realizing that she may not be the only one confused and disturbed by the turn their relationship had taken.
"Alright, Stretch. I will, I will try to be patient with your- lack of manners. But you have to promise me you will try to be a little less of an ass hole, just try to soften up a little okay? It was different before, when we were enemies who coexisted in one space, now, it actually hurts me... my feelings I mean- I don't like when you think poorly of me."
She glanced to his face and saw his eyes had widened a little and he was studying her carefully, "Alright, I- I got it. I will work on it." and he swallows in a way Kat can only think to describe as nervously before letting her go and she marvels at the little victories that are suddenly possible now that Stretch has taken a more invested interest in her.
"Come on Kitty Kat, we better go talk to da others."
Kat nodded and gently ran a finger down his arm in thanks when he held the door open for her, his violet eyes peering around the door and watching her as she walked down the hall.
PAGE BREAK
The unique family sat around the large table in the kitchen, Stretch and Kat having arrived to find Fatso and Stinkie had found Doc Harvey and Casper much quicker than Stretch had been at "talking" Kat out of her bad life choice.
Doctor Harvey was the first to speak after Stretch had given a brief explanation of the situation, "So, his last name is Horshire?"
"Yeah, and he ain't no well-meaning college boy neither." Stretch assured.
"And he only became interested in you once he found out where you lived?" Doctor Harvey asked his daughter, Kat looked ashamed but nodded her head regardless of the humiliation, "Well, yeah, but I mean- I don't know I just thought, well, wouldn't most guys be? Big house, ghosts and the like?"
"I suppose some would, yes, but it didn't occur to you to get to know him a little more before-" James was quizzing her with a narrowed eye through his glasses and Kat was squirming in her seat.
"I should have, but- well-"
"Come on Bucket, I raised you better than that. If I had known how little you actually knew about him I wouldn't have given you my blessing. I mean, you had been with him since the end of your freshman year, I thought-"
"Lighten up, Doc. She said she gets it. We need to move on to more important t'ings." Stretch snipped as he leaned forward and glared at the man with annoyance.
"And just when did you become an advocate for my daughters right to avoid being honest with her father?" James asked with a rather annoyed tone of his own.
"Dad-" Kat urged through clenched teeth, James looked at her and she shook her head "no". He glanced back to Stretch who was hovering at the head of the table with arms crossed and staring at him with rather dangerous eyes.
"You know something don't you." James said softly and Stretch scoffed, "Careful Doc, you may find yourself on the receiving end of information you'd rather not know."
James stood abruptly, his cane smacking against the floor, both Kat and Casper coming to either side to aid him should he fall, "What the hell do you mean by that? What could you possibly know about my daughter that I don't! What would she tell you and not me?"
"Dad! Daddy! Please, just- sit down okay?" James looked to his daughter swallowed heavily at the pleading look in her eyes. He darted a glance back to Stretch who gently cocked his head to the side, a look that dared him to push.
"This isn't over Kat, when Edward is gone you and I are going to sit down and have a very long conversation about why you allowed yourself to be manipulated. I can't believe you weren't aware of it, and I know you knew better than to accept it."
It was Kat's turn to swallow and she gave her dad a very calm look before she said softly, "Yes, dad, I promise. Alright? Now, let's sit down and figure out how to end this okay?"
"Damn straight." the man murmured and he finally relaxed back into his chair.
Stretch looked back to Kat after a moment and then asked stiffly, "Shit head out there didn't know that Casper," Stretch motioned to the little white ghost with disgust, "Owned the manor until he showed up today right?"
Kat nodded slightly embarrassed, "Ashley found one of my journals and read it. Honestly, she thought I was crazy. But when she told Edward he seemed more interested then disturbed. Asked me all kinds of questions, I was relieved honestly, to have someone I could be completely honest with. No more lying."
"Weren't you so lucky." Stretch said sarcastically but at the hurt look Kat gave him he turned away and shook his head, mumbling a curse before swallowing his sarcasms. He looked back to the group when he thought he had more control over his mouth and slammed his ghostly hands down on the table, "So, we got ourselves a little problem." Stretch concluded looking around the group with determination.
"Obviously we have a problem, but you still haven't told us what it is." The Doc said loudly.
"Well, someone has been skipping out on their prune juice tonight-"
James went to stand again but Stretch flew forward and pressed him back and said harshly, "The problem is dat Whipstaff didn't always belong to the Mcfadden family."
"What?" Kat asked in surprise as she looked to Casper, the little ghost just smiled and nodded.
"Well, to put it bluntly…." Stinkie started, Stretch flying backwards and landing with a thumb between his two brothers, "Our family won Whipstaff off of the Horshires." Stretch finished.
"Who was it again?" Fatso asked.
"I believe it was three greats ago…" Stretch said as he scratched at his nonexistent chin.
"Great great great uncle peter?" Stinkie asked, his yellow and green eyes shifting to glance at the ceiling in thought.
Stretch smacked the shorter ghost upside the head, "No, Great great great Grandpa Mcfadden! It was the story about the hen house, the fox and the card game."
"Hey! I remember that story! Dad told it to me all the time when I couldn't sleep!" Casper said suddenly flying to float in the center of the table.
"Well den you can do the honors short sheet…" Stretch said bringing an elbow to the table and leaning his head on it, though his eyes strayed from his nephew to the girl on the other side of him and Kat blushed and looked away. Eliciting a small smirk from the trio's leader.
Casper loved story telling and didn't wait to launch into the all too familiar store, just another memory that he had managed to retrieve over the last few years.
"Great great great Grandpa McFadden, also known as Bulldog McFadden for his round plump face and short stocky body, was out in the woods one day mushroom hunting. As he explored the dense thickets of the forest he found a baby fox. He brought it home to his son Jimmy. Jimmy loved the fox very much and so, he called it Ferdy. The McFadden's at that time lived on a farm and didn't have much money to their name but they were happy to have each other-"
"Whatcha doing with that mushy stuff, get on with it bulb head!" Stretch said as he flung his arm out to smack the little ghost but Casper managed to dodge and continued on quickly, "W-Well, one day, the rich Mr. Horshire from on top the hill came down and claimed that Jimmy's fox, Ferdy, was eating and attacking the chickens in the Horshire's hen house. Jimmy denied it, he claimed Ferdy was a friendly fox and didn't hurt other animals." Casper said.
Just then Stinkie interrupted, smacking his hands down on the table and shooting up into the air, "Well, good old Horshire being da nice guy he was said that if Bulldog wouldn't pay him back for the chickens that were killed he was going ta go ta da authorities and take everything the McFadden's owned."
"Horsire had been after the McFadden land for a long time though, so this was the perfect excuse for him to grab it away." Casper added.
"Yeah, but Bulldog was too smart for that." Fatso said nudging his brother Stretch and winking.
"You see, Horshire was a gambling man, he actually won most of his money from the card houses and big parlors in the cities-"
"Sound like someone you know?" Stretch asked Kat and the girl rolled her eyes angrily.
Casper continued, oblivious to the jab, "So, Bulldog made Horshire an offer. He said that if Horshire could beat him in a game of cards without cheating then he would gladly hand over all his land, his animals, the fox, his sons as servants, and of course his lovely daughter to be wed to him. Naturally, Horshire couldn't turn it down, he was sure he could beat Bulldog and he knew the less the authorities were involved the better. So to finish the story that goes on for about another twenty minutes, Bulldog ended up winning and Horshire lost." Casper finished.
Kat and Dr. Harvey stared at him for a second and then Stretch flew over and lightly smacked him across the back of the head, "You idiot, you left out the most important part."
Casper looked up at him confused so Stretch finished, "If Horshire LOST he was suppose to turn over all of his land, properties, and businesses he owned to Mcfadden in a legal contract. Here was the ting, however, dat really pissed Horsire off. Da day of da card game Bulldog brought a judge and the cops. He told'em to wait behind a large group of trees and listen; Bulldog made Horshire repeat the deal and both of them signed the contract. Dey played da game and Bulldog won. When Horshire tried to deny Bulldog da property and money owed to him he had da authorities and judge come out from hiding. Horshire had no choice, he couldn't back out." Stretch finished.
"Wait, so, that means Bulldog set Horshire up-"
Casper nodded, "Horshire lost everything… legally… he had no claim to Whipstaff after that day."
"I am tinking dis Edward kid is related… and I am tinking he is after his great great great grand dad's old property. However, since Kat doesn't actually own Whipstaff, he has to find a way around it. And I tink he plans to use Kit Kat to gain some leverage over us so he can get us to hand over da house."
"Well, there is no chance of that happening. Now that I know he is a back stabbing piece of crap I can go out there and shove this ring right up his…"
"Actually, I would much rather you let me." Dr. Harvey cut in sharply and Kat looked at him with surprise, "I've wanted to kick his lousy butt to the curve since the minute he introduced himself." Her father said reaching for the ring and taking it from her.
Kat grunted, "You hid it well enough."
"I'm your father, I will love you unconditionally Bucket. That won't ever change, but I can't promise to extend the same feelings toward any boy you bring home. Lord knows, after this, the next one will be under my extreme scrutiny." Kat smiled at that though her eyes flickered to Stretch who was staring at her with rather shaded eyes.
Kat looked back at her father who gave her a strange look but before he could say anything the thin ghost barged in, "Hey Doc, I really think you should let us handle dis."
James glanced at him and then shook his head, "I don't think so, that guy has a foot coming to his backside-"
"Normally, I wouldn't take away your Earthly pleasures, but given the fact good ol' Edd wants us to hand over the house it would be betta if he didn't have a chance to get hold of you or Kat. He could use you against us."
The Doc stopped and looked at Stretch, and then back at Kat, "Well you can't expect us to just sit here can you? I want that poor excuse for a man as far away from Kat as possible."
"No worries, you two stay here, Casper you guard 'em. Let da ghostly trio take care of dis." The three left the kitchen cackling wickedly so Kat quickly ran to the far side of the kitchen and hopped up onto the counter to look out the window, "I want to see them shove it down his throat." She said wickedly to Casper, the look he gave her was one of absolute worry.

Edward looked out over the cliff, the noise of the ocean below echoing up and creating nature's natural symphony. The sun was setting and leaving a smear of red on the distant horizon. Standing in the gazebo, he took a deep inhale of breath and marveled at his cleverness, "I can't wait to own this place. It is going to be nice coming home after so many decades away."
"I thought you said this place belonged to your great great great grand father." Ashley asked as she leaned on the railing in front of him.
"Yeah, so?" Edward asked looking at her, "Well Eddy, if you've never lived here how can it be your home?" Ashley looked over her shoulder at him and gave a rather confused looked.
"It's a family home dear, therefore it's MY home. I want it back, no matter what I have to do to get it." and his voice held a certain bitterness that did not go unnoticed by his companion.
"Sounds like you need to learn when to take no for an answer." Eddy turned around to see the ghostly trio floating behind him, their faces rather dark and insidious.
"Well hello Mr. Stretch, Mr. Fasto, and Mr. Stinkie. What brings you out on this wonderfully modest day." He said, a cool calm to his voice and a rather curious if not clever glint covering his eyes.
"You can stop playin' games bone bag, we know who ya are, what ya want and why ya are here." Stinkie said giving a creepy smile, "Do you now?" Edward said just as calm as before.
"We do, and we've decided you ain't welcome." Green gas oozed between Stinkie's yellow teeth as he growled and Fatso smashed a fist into a hand as a cruel smirk filled his face
"I am certain I do not know what you are talking about." Edward said, keeping his tempter well under control and his back straight as a lance.
"Eddy, they're giving me the creeps." Ashley said slowly moving closer to him as she warily eyes the ghosts before her.
"Don't worry darling, I am sure they mean us no harm. It's just their way of welcoming us to the family. Yes?" He said to them, the threat in his voice should they move against him evident though most would think him a fool for acting so bold.
"Actually, we do have a welcome home gift for you, Horshire-" Stretch flicked his thumb and from it something shiny went flying towards Edward. The man caught it and looked to his paml.
"Kat wanted you to have it. Said she ain't interested in what you are selling and dat you should take your show on da road." Stretch said triumphantly.
"Yeah, and take the air-head with ya, unless you want to give her to Fatso here, he does have a taste for human flesh." Stinkie said and Fatso leered at Ashley from over his brother's shoulder.
The engagement ring he had given to Kat stared up at him and his eyes glanced up to look at the ghosts with doubt, "You must be joking. The tom-boy refused me?" He looked at Ashley in shock; she stared back at him and suddenly started to move away, almost as if her fear of his reaction out-weighed her fear of the ghostly trio.
A chuckle came up from his throat, "She's turning me down? Really?"
"Damn straight. Now get the Hell off our property, before we remove you, permanently." Stretch warned.
Edward thought a moment and then gave a smirk, "Why doesn't my angle come out and tell me herself, hard to believe she would send you three out to do her dirty work for her. She did talk so unsavory of you three. Tormenting her, making her feel so...inadequate all the time. No wonder she has such fears of intimacy. With you three around, how could any teenage girl grow up and have confidence."
"Eddy, don't make them mad-" Ashley chided with worry.
"Fear not my dear, we're just having a friendly chat, isn't that right boys? A nice, friendly conversation about my beloved Kathryn. Come on, let me see her for myself, make sure it's really what she wants."
"No dice, Kitty Kat stays inside, you, get gone, or we drag you over the cliff and let the ocean decide where you land."
"Get gone!" Stinkie agreed as Fatso bellowed, "Out of here!"
Another chuckle and then his eyes locked on Stretch, "Kitty Kat? Now, that is interesting. She would never let me call her such a name. I tried to call her kitten once and she stopped talking to me for a week. Had to really milk my way back into her good graces. But you, calling her such a name, such an intimate name...that is VERY interesting."
"And just what are ya implying?" Stretch said moving closer, breaking away from his brothers and coming to rest in front of Edward with his fists clenched and his eyes venomous, "Nothing, nothing at all. But, if she lets you call her that, I wonder what else she would do let you do to her. Tell me, Stretchy, just how close are you to my sweet little Kathryn."
Stretch growled and went to grab him but he was yanked back by his brothers who moved in front, "You leave or we make you!" Stinkie barked, "Yeah, and we won't be nice about it either." Fatso agreed.
Edward gave a shake of his head in defeat and let out a sigh, "Well, it's just too bad, I suppose I lost my little gamble, come on Ash, we better take our leave-"
It all happened so quickly Stretch almost missed it, but just as Edward went to leave he chucked the ring through the trio and Ashley near shrieked, "Eddy! That was my mother's!" she darted forward, her fear of the ghosts gone as she chased the ring into the grass, passing straight through the trio and causing them to shimmer and fall to the side as they had not been prepared for the sudden push of solid matter through them.
Edward had jumped the rail and darted for the house as soon as Ashley had moved and was sprinting towards the house.
"Now dat is unacceptable… right boys?" Stretch said growing in size.
"Right." They both said together with a cackle of laughter before joining Stretch in growing to massive proportions.
The gazebo's roof crack and the three ghosts exploded from the top and chased after him. He ran like a rabbit for the house, "Stinkie! Fetch the ass hole! Go on boy! Go!"
Instantly Stinkie streaked after him barking and yipping. Stretch and Fatso followed close behind, their demonic howls shaking the windows of the house.

Kat stood in the kitchen pacing; she hadn't been able to see anything from the windows. She wanted to know what was going on, had wanted to see that snob Edward's reaction. Her father was sitting at the table tapping his fingers on the wood and shuffling in his seat uncomfortably.
"Casper, do you think you could just phase through the wall really quick and tell me what is going on?" Kat asked to the little white ghost who had been busy cleaning while they waited.
"Sorry Kat, if my uncles saw me out there watching instead of in here guarding you and your dad I would never hear the end of it."
"God I want to know what is going on!" Kat said in frustration as she plopped down into a chair, "Figures today would be the day they actually start caring about our safety."
James chuckled at the thought and started to agree when suddenly the kitchen doors flew open and an enraged Edward strode in. "You stupid little brat! How can you turn me down! You will ruin everything!" He said coming at her. The Doc stood up quickly and in an instant swung his cane. It crashed into Edward's nose and sent him flying backward. He skid across the floor and instantly grabbed his nose. "FUCK!" He yelled as his fist bashed the floor in anger.
"Cool." Kat intoned as Casper echoed out, "Whoa."
"Don't you lay a finger on my kid, you disgrace!" he yelled.
"Dad…" Kat started.
But before she could continue a gigantic hand came through the kitchen doors and grabbed Edward, dragging him out of the room.
"That can't be good." Casper said looking at Dr. Harvey and Kat. The three rushed into the main room and looked up as the three giant ghosts tossed Edward back and forth like a football.
"HUT HUT HIKE!" Stinkie called throwing Edward towards Fatso who had planned to catch him with his hands. His arms were to short though and he ended up using his mouth instead. "Fatso, you animal, you know to chew your food and swallow!" Stretch said smiling.
Fatso made an noise and suddenly swallowed, Edward disappeared in to the large ghost's mouth and ended up suspended in the round transparent mass that was his stomach.
Edward was trying to kick and squirm his way out but every time he pushed on a part of Fatso the fat ghost's belly only jiggled and he slapped it with his hand and laughed.
"Why Fatso- are you pregnant?" Stinkie asked rushing over to take Fatso's hand. "Yeah, you do look a little plump." Stretch added coming over and taking Fatso's other hand.
"Well fellas, I do feel kind of bloated." Fatso sniffed sadly.
"You hear dat Casper! Your uncle Fatso has a bun in his oven!"
Casper laughed and flew up to join his uncle's, "What should we do about dis awful happening?" Stretch asked Casper.
"I say we operate." Casper said suddenly donning a doctor's coat and mask, "Good idea! What tools you got in dat bag short sheet?" Stinkie asked wickedly.
"I happen to have a chain saw here, perhaps we can help relieve some of that gastric tension." Casper said yanking the power cord of a chain saw that was now replacing his left hand. It gave a nasty lurch forward and Casper approached Fatso.
Edward shrieked when he saw the white ghost approach and redoubled his efforts to escape.
"Whoa whoa whoa bulb head… let's not harm Fatso in da process of extricating him from this little burden. How about some bowling?" Casper looked slightly disappointed but nodded taking the form of a bowling ball.
"Okay Stinkie, get the pin in position!" Stretch yelled swinging Casper back.
"PIN IS READY!" He called moving away from Fatso.
"Den let's do some bowling!" Stretch cried releasing Casper and sending the white ball flying across the room towards Fatso's stomach. As soon as Casper hit Edward was suddenly ejected back Casper bounced all about the ceiling, walls and floors. When he finally came to a halt he landed on the ground and held his head, "Whoa, what a rush." Kat rushed over to help him up.
"Oh lord." Everybody heard Fatso say, and suddenly there was a rather loud farting noise and Edward went flying towards a wall and as he hit it Kat heard a smacking sound. As she looked over she realized Edward was covered in green goop. She held her noise to avoid the smell.
Edward sat there in complete and total shock; he stared off into space and didn't say a word. Casper rushed over and holding his nose grabbed Edward with one hand and started to drag him towards the door.
"Wait a sec Bulb head, where you taking him?" Stretch asked eyeing him closely.
"To a place he won't ever bother us again." The small ghost said not evening bothering to look his uncle in the eye.
The ghostly trio looked at one another and then Stretch sighed, "Come on kiddo, let us handle dat… dis ain't something you should handle." Stretch said reaching for Edward's prone form. Casper yanked him away, "No way! I want to see this jerk pay for what he did to Kat. I guarantee he has hurt more people then just the Harvey's. I mean, come on, I bet you anything the devil is just howling for his soul!"
"Casper-" Kat called, eyes growing wide, "What are you talking about?" She asked approaching him and looking at him almost as if she didn't recognize him.
"I am talking about one less jerk in the world that's all." He said dropping the body; Edward's head gave a loud thunk on the floor and Kat looked down at the sticky body with disgust.
"Casper you're not acting like yourself." Dr. Harvey said hobbling over and placing a hand on the small spirits shoulder.
"Come on Doc, you can't expect me to just float around like nothing is happening. I have a chance to get rid of him and protect you and Kat. You think I would pass that up? I'd do anything for you two."
"But Casper, it's not who you are, let your uncle's handle it." Kat tried gently, repeating what Stretch had said just minutes before. She was getting a bad feeling about this, for Casper was a friendly ghost, a holy spirit of kindness and love, he wouldn't ever want to hurt anyone, no matter how bad they were.
"She's right Casper, don't be stupid." Stretch said.
Casper looked at his uncle's, noticed the way they were slowly surrounding him, and then looked back at Kat, "You know Kat, I was completely helpless when it came to you marrying this scum bag, but I am not helpless anymore! I am going to kick this guy to the curb." With that Casper grabbed Edward and shot through the door.
"AFTER HIM!" Stretch yelled to his brothers. The trio shot out after him and Kat and Doctor Harvey were left standing in the dust.
Suddenly Stinkie stuck his head back in, "By the way, go out to the gazebo, your honey bunch let his ex-girlfriend out wondering around." Then he was gone again.
Kat looked at her dad and the two hurried out the front door heading out to the gazebo.
R&R And I would like to apologize to anyone who did not like the turn this story took. It's not over by far, but if you really don't like where this is heading I do apologize. I may rewrite later for but for now I am sticking with this. Thanks for reading.
