Chapter 10: School Duels, Part 1
It's here! It's finally here! After what seemed like forever, after weeks of preparation and editing their decks, and finishing midterm exams which was beside the point, at long last, the day had come: The yearly–annual School Duels! And it was going to be extra special. Not only are the School Duels separated into the Single and Tag Team Divisions, but the School Duels are gonna be WWE style too, when it comes to entrances! Reason being is because one of the staff gave the idea, which the other school didn't mind. And as a bonus, Justin Roberts will be announcing thanks to him getting some time off from WWE! How much more awesome can it get though?! As of now, Jaden, Ben and Jasmine were at the empty Main Arena meeting up before the competition showed. The crews were setting up the titan-tron props for the entrances too. Feeling psyched up, the Slifer had an idea.
"Hey guys, how about we call out our Monsters for the final rally?" suggested Jaden, turning on his duel disk.
"That's a good idea." grinned Ben as he turned on his duel disk.
"Why not?" shrugged Jasmine, turning on her disk as well.
"C'mon out, Elemental Heroes Avian, Burstinatrix, Sparkman, Clayman, and Bubbleman!" smiled Jaden as his five heroes appeared, standing in front of him.
"Don't forget, Harpie Ladies 1-3, Harpie Queen, and Harpie Girl!" called out Jasmine summoning out her Monsters.
"And last but not least, Alien Heroes Heatblast, Wildmutt, Diamondhead, XLR8 and Stinkflyl!" said Ben while summoning his five Monsters as well. The smiles were on their faces, seeing their monsters joined to battle.
"Yeah… we've got the sweetest Monsters ever!" cheered Jaden.
"With these heroes and harpies on our side, North Academy's team is in trouble!" grinned Ben.
"And nothing's gonna stop us from doing that!" added Jasmine.
"Hey guys!" called out a familiar voice. Jaden turned to see Syrus and Alexis running into the arena.
"Hey Alexis, what's up?" asked Jaden as Syrus somewhat deflates at being ignored, evident by his tone.
"There you guys are… (stops running) C'mon, everyone's waiting for you three." announced Syrus.
"What for?" asked Jaden confused.
"The Meet 'n Greet, Jaden. The guys from North Academy are here! So you three better high tail it!" answered Alexis.
"Well why didn't you say so? Let's go!" nodded Jaden as he leaped off the platform while his heroes disappeared.
"Right behind ya, Jaden!" agreed Ben as he ran after Jaden as his Monsters disappeared as well.
"So am I!" added Jasmine as she turned off her duel disk and followed after the boys. Syrus and Alexis then followed suit.
(The Docks)
Meanwhile, Chancellor Sheppard, Crowler, and everyone else at the school were at the docks waiting as the North Academy's Chancellor stepped off of the bridge from the submarine. Sheppard beamed and shook the balding man's hand.
"Foster, it's been far too long! You seem to be doing well." complimented Sheppard.
"Yes, well, I've had plenty of time to recover after that defeat you handed to us at last year's School Duel." chuckled Foster.
"Oh, that was a long time ago. Besides, it was a close match." said Sheppard dismissively.
"Not really. But I have a feeling that this year, it will be." smiled Foster.
"Yes, I expect that as well! Well, here's to the spirited duels between the schools." nodded Sheppard.
"Hear, hear. (notices Jaden, Ben and Jasmine) And these must be the students representing your school, right?" asked Foster.
"That they are…" trailed off Sheppard. Before the Chancellors continued, Jaden jumped in.
"Enough with the 'hellos', I want to see my opponent!" grinned Jaden. Sheppard lightly frowned at his Slifer student as he developed a big grin.
"Yes Jaden, we were getting to that…" mumbled Sheppard.
"So Jaden Yuki is the one for the Singles Representative. Pretty risky for a Slifer Red to duel, but I can see a Wild Card from a mile away…" acknowledged Foster.
"At least he's not insulting." muttered Ben as Jasmine nodded.
"And that would make the Obelisks the Tag Team Reps." said Foster, acknowledging them both.
'At least I'm not expecting Zane Truesdale… the prize will be mine!' thought Foster.
"So, c'mon, c'mon. When do I get to meet my opponent!?" asked Jaden.
"Soon, young man. But first, let me introduce my Tag Team Representatives!" smiled Foster as two duelists came out of the sub, making Ben's jaw drop in surprise. The first person who came out of the sub is a very muscular American teenage boy that has brown eyes and black hair styled like a Triceratops' horns. He is wearing black leather jeans, blue T-shirt with a yellow dinosaur footprint logo on the front, white sneakers with black highlights, and a red vest with the same footprint logo on the back, but in gold instead. The second person who came out of the sub is an American teenage girl with leaf-green eyes and back-length sandy blonde hair with black circles spotted on it similar to a cheetah. She is wearing a yellow leather jacket unzipped, showing her slightly tight purple shirt, blue jean shorts, and white sneakers with orange highlights. Like the male, she also has a logo on her shirt and the back of her jacket. The logo is a lightning bolt-shaped claw mark. The logo is gold on the jacket while the logo is red on her shirt.
"May I present my Tag Team Representatives, Tricer Rogers (the black haired boy flexed his muscles) and Bailey Jones." introduced Foster as the sandy-blonde girl waves.
"You 2 are our opponents?" asked Ben in surprise before Tricer and Bailey noticed him.
"Yo, Tennyson!" greeted Tricer as he runs toward Ben and fist bumped him while Bailey walked toward Ben and hugged him, making Jasmine glare at her in jealousy until she noticed that Ben is gasping for air.
"It's good to see you again! I missed you so much!" squealed Bailey as she squeezes the life out of Ben.
"It's... good to see you too, Bailey. But... I need air!" squeaked Ben before Bailey let go of him and smiled softly.
"Sorry about that, Tennyson. You know how Bailey is when she meets a familiar face she hasn't seen in months." chuckled Tricer as Ben inhales the needed air.
"You know these two?" asked Jasmine as the gang approaches the re-uniting trio.
"Yeah, we practically grew up together in Bellwood." answered Ben.
"Except when you have your summer trips, and when you return... " trailed off Tricer before Ben shuddered.
"Don't remind me. I still have those cracked ribs from the time I returned from my first summer trip." shuddered Ben as the gang raised their eyebrows until Tricer jerked his thumb toward Bailey.
"I said I was sorry!" pouted Bailey.
"Seriously, Bailey. For someone with the Spirit of the Cheetah, you could have the strength of a mutant gorilla." commented Ben.
"Spirit of the Cheetah?" asked Syrus confused as everyone (except Bastion) was dumbfounded.
"You're a Pai Zhua student, aren't you?" stated Bastion confidently.
"What's Pie Chewah?" asked Jaden confused, mispronouncing the title.
"Pai Zhua is a form of martial arts that trains students and their animal spirits. And by the way, Ra boy, I'm not a student anymore." answered Bailey as she rolled up her right jacket sleeve to reveal the same logo on her wrist, but in black.
"When did you got your stripes?" asked Ben surprised as Bailey re-covered the logo.
"A few weeks after I attended North Academy." answered Bailey before Bastion face-palmed.
"I just realized we haven't introduced ourselves. I'm Bastion Misawa, the abnormally small cyan-haired Slifer is Syrus Truesdale." introduced Bastion.
"Hey!" complained Syrus.
"The blonde Obelisk is Alexis Rhodes." introduced Bastion as Alexis waved.
'I didn't know Casey has a cousin.' thought Bailey surprised.
"The brunette Slifer and Singles Rep for our academy is Jaden Yuki." introduced Bastion.
"S'up." greeted Jaden.
"And Ben's Tag Team partner is Jasmine Makurada." introduced Bastion.
"Hello, it's nice to meet a couple of Ben's childhood friends." waved Jasmine with a smile as Tricer and Bailey nodded.
"So, uh, where's the Singles Rep for your Academy?" asked Jaden.
"Right here, slacker." insulted an unwanted voice. Jaden and the others turned around in the direction that the strangely familiar voice had come from.
"Who said that?" asked Jaden. The students from the sub separated and revealed the person standing behind them. Jaden, Ben and Jasmine were surprised to see Chazz.
"Whoa! That's a surprise!" stated Jasmine.
"Hold on a sec! Am I seeing things, or is that really Chazz?" gasped Jaden.
"You got that right!" shouted Chazz, now clad in a black blazer.
"Well, why are you here?" asked Jaden.
"For the duel…" answered Chazz.
"I think it sold out." blinked Jaden.
"I'm in it!" snapped Chazz. Jaden was visibly confused by this.
"What? As a ref?" asked Jaden.
"I'm dueling you!" answered Chazz, annoyed by Jaden's hardheadedness.
"You mean, it's you? You're North Academy's Singles Rep?" asked Jaden surprised.
"Since when did you transfer?" wondered Jasmine.
"Since I stopped getting the respect I deserved here." retorted Chazz.
"Like you deserved any of it…" retorted Ben.
"Shut it, Tennyson! It didn't take North Academy long to see that I get it… And with me leading North Academy, they won't suffer another defeat by Duel Academy." gloated Chazz. Everyone around was surprised when they heard the sound of helicopter blade whirring, and the wind that kicked up in the area as a result. They looked up and saw two choppers hovering in the air above them. The door of one opened up and revealed Chazz's brothers, and both had identical grins on their faces.
"Hi Chazz." greeted Jagger.
"What's going on little brother? Mind if we drop in?" asked Slade.
"Slade?! Jagger?! Why are you here!?" demanded Chazz with a serious expression on his face.
"Why else? To celebrate your big dueling victory." explained Jagger as their helicopter landed on the top of one of the warehouse buildings.
"You are going to win, right Chazz?" glared Slade. The area was then flooded by a hoard of cameras, wires, microphones and other such broadcasting equipment, as well as the people who came with it.
"That's it, just act natural." said a crew member from his post in a crane, while the guy next to him held the camera pointed at the older Princeton brothers. Another pair of TV crew members pointed their equipment towards the two chancellors.
"Uhhh, what's going on here?" asked Foster.
"What's going on!? I think you mean 'when are you going on!?' And the answer is prime-time baby! This school duel's gonna be broadcasted worldwide!" grinned the microphone guy.
"No way! Me on TV?! My face beamed across the world?! In full HD color and full HD stereo?!" exclaimed Jaden as his face was in fact on multiple screens in the equipment vans and across the world before Alexis dragged him away from the camera.
"It's surprising…" trailed off Ben.
"True. We never broadcast our School Duels to anyone; well maybe privately to the owner, but that's it." added Sheppard.
"At least we can say that everyone back home would watch us duel." shrugged Jasmine.
"Or right here." called out a voice from behind. The Obelisks turned around, with Jasmine gasping. Ben was surprised thinking he was seeing double as the woman behind them was nearly a spitting image of Jasmine in terms of looks and figure. She looks like a slightly older version of Jasmine and is wearing a blue business suit.
"Hello, Jasmine." smiled the woman.
"Mom." smiled Jasmine back as both of them shared a hug. After the embrace, the Harpy Duelist was confused a little.
"But how did you know about this?" asked Jasmine.
"I do work for the broadcast team, remember? The Princeton's had paid the station a lot of money to have this School Duel–Off broadcasted, personal reasons aside. At least I could see my daughter duel and see how she's coming along in her studies." smiled Mrs. Makurada.
"Well, everything's fine." replied Jasmine. Mrs. Makurada looked at Ben who was still stunned at the likeness of both women.
"And who's this charming young man?" smiled Mrs. Makurada. The Alien Hero duelist couldn't help but blush at the statement, as Jasmine saw it and held in a giggle before making introductions.
"This is Ben Tennyson; he and I are in the Tag Team Division. Ben, this is my mother." introduced Jasmine.
"Uh… it's nice to meet you, Mrs. Makurada." greeted Ben, regaining his composure.
"Likewise… (leaned in to her daughter's ear) So… is he your boyfriend?" whispered Mrs. Makurada.
"Mom!" hissed Jasmine.
"I'm just asking. Jasmine, you've bloomed into a beautiful young woman and you've left a trail of broken hearts ever since. What really gets me is how you don't notice. A lot of those boys and their mothers back home would've committed murder to have to get serious with their daughters. Remember that nice boy from prep school?" asked Mrs. Makurada.
"You mean the one who kept peppering me with chocolates?" sighed Jasmine, her face a flaming red. Her mother was always like this! Whenever they were apart for any length of time she would immediately begin asking questions about her social life and if it wasn't up to what she felt was proper for a girl her age she'd start talking about all of the 'missed opportunities' that other girls supposedly would've given their right arms for.
"Pepper you with chocolates?" asked Ben with a raised eyebrow. It wasn't everyday he got dirt on Jasmine and she already had some on him.
'My turn.' thought Ben triumphantly.
"Oh my, yes! She just threw them away every time. All of the girls were calling her crazy for ignoring such romantic attempts and with how handsome and proper he was. My friends were asking if she was crazy too." smiled Mrs. Makurada.
"Mom… Ben…" hissed Jasmine as she grit her teeth.
"And then another boy was the heir of some big corporation who was studying abroad. He would try to woo Jasmine with all sorts of gifts and things but she never even seemed too excited over it all. (places a finger on her cheek) Then there was that dueling prodigy who's a big duelist on the pro circuit now that called her his greatest inspiration, that creative artist who made a portrait of her, that foreign boy who we all thought was hidden royalty. She had all those prime opportunities and she just never seemed interested in those boys even though all of them had hordes of fan girls going gaga over them. (sighs, anime tears running down her cheeks) All of my friends were shocked, wondering if my little Jasmine had her head on straight thinking all about dueling instead of boys and shopping. Why, they already give me condolences for never becoming a grandmother." explained Mrs. Makurada.
"I'm so sorry to hear that." sighed Ben, trying his hardest not to break out laughing.
"MOM!" shouted Jasmine out, her face doing a fine imitation of a tomato. So what if she didn't go nuts over boys like almost all of her female friends did? She was more interested in dueling than dating and that was her business. Besides, all of those other guys were use to looking for a trophy girlfriend and if there was one thing Jasmine would never do, it would be that. Although she would always get into this comedy scene with her mother whenever they met up, she felt more embarrassed that Ben was there to witness it.
"I'm just teasing you dear." giggled Mrs. Makurada.
"Um... Mrs. Makurada, if you don't mind me asking, what about the father?" noticed Ben.
"Well, he's too busy testing out new fragrances to come here." answered Mrs. Makurada.
"Oh. (blinks before widen) Wait, your father's a perfume maker?! No wonder you smell good, yet different everyday." noted Ben while glancing at Jasmine, making her blush at the indirect compliment.
"Well, anyways, I'll see you two there at the arena. I can't wait to see you two duel." smiled Mrs. Makurada as she left for her destination.
"Well then, everyone let's head to the arena!" announced Sheppard and with that, everyone headed over there.
(Main Arena)
It's now time for the School Duels to finally commence! All the spectators had now gathered in their seats at the arena where the duels would be happening. The students from their respective Academies were seated in one general area, making them separate and equal. The two chancellors were sitting together with the North Academy group. A group of crane arms, each with a cameraman and another crewman, were positioned around the platform in the middle, so that they would be able to cover every angle there was.
"That's it everyone, lots of energy. Remember, the whole world's watching you live! Now let's cheer these duelists on!" suggested the megaphone man. The four groups of students (North Academy, Ra, Slifer and Obelisk) continued to do so.
"Attention students! (rose up from his seat along with Foster.) Welcome to the School Duel–Off between our two schools! It will feature our mini–tournament so that fair play will be enforced!" announced Sheppard.
"There will be our Singles and our Tag Team Divisions that will decide the overall victor. (raises a hand) And now…" trailed off Foster.
"Let this year's competition begin!" cried the Chancellors. The crowd cheered wildly as Sheppard looked to his right hand man.
"Dr. Crowler, explain how this Duel–Off works!" ordered Sheppard.
"With pleasure, Chancellor Sheppard." nodded Crowler as he walked onto the platform, a microphone in his hand and a camera crew moving around the platform,
"Now as you know, this year's School Duel will be separated into a Single and Tag Team Division! To inform you how to break a tie, if one academy won in one division, and lost in another, the winning Academy will be decided by the division winners' remaining life points! Whoever has the most remaining, wins the entire School Duel! And now we will start with the Tag Team Division! Duelists prepare for battle!" announced Crowler.
(Academy Hallway)
Meanwhile, at a hallway where it leads to the platform with a Titantron screen above the entrance, Ben and Jasmine were getting their Duel Disks and Decks ready as soon as they heard who's facing who.
"Our entrances are gonna be sweet. I have to hand it to the guy who had the idea of having us enter WWE style." commented Ben.
"No kidding." agreed Jasmine.
"And the song you chose is great. The lyrics fit you well… for the most part." added Ben.
"Hey guys!" called a voice. The Obelisks turned around to see Jaden running up towards them.
"What's up Jaden?" asked Ben.
"You won't believe what happened. I overheard Chazz talking earlier in the locker room and well, he was… breaking down." informed Jaden.
"Breaking down?" asked Jasmine, raising an eyebrow.
"The guilt probably ate him up." shrugged Ben.
"Maybe, it's just too bad that one of us has to lose this duel. I kinda know where he's coming from now. From what I hear, it's not exactly an easy place…" trailed off Jaden.
"What's it about?" asked Ben.
"He kept saying something about being worthy of the Princeton name, or something." pondered Jaden.
"Talk about pressure. Then again, TV cameras are here because of Chazz's brothers paying my mother's company, not this whole event." agreed Jasmine.
"And then, when his brothers asked him to win. They could be the reason why he tries to do everything in his power to win… well; you worry about that when you duel Chazz, Jaden. I'm sure you can figure something out." assured Ben.
"Thanks." nodded Jaden.
"Yeah, Jasmine, this is it, you ready?" asked Ben.
"You know it." answered Jasmine.
(Main Arena)
"And now allow me to introduce our announcer for this event! From World Wrestling Entertainment, please give a warm welcome to Justin Roberts!" announced Crowler. The crowd cheered as the man in question took to the platform.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your opening contest is the Tag Team match!" announced Justin. At one end of the Arena, the titantron showed a picture of the gold Dino Thunder logo with two Jungle Fury logos on the sides acting like wings.

Tricer walked out of the entrance in slow motion as a series of explosions occurred on the entrance sides before he twirled and threw his vest in the air as he turned toward the crowd and roared like a Triceratops, scaring the crowd. Tricer caught his vest and put it back on as he creates a series of muscle poses on his way to the platform before the song switched.
Play: Power Rangers Jungle Fury Theme Song
Green eyes flash behind Tricer in the dark entrance, making the crowd lean forward in curiosity. Suddenly, a transparent yellow mechanical cheetah leapt from the entrance, scaring the crowd until it orbited the arena, making the crowd awe at the scene. The yellow cheetah landed beside Tricer before disappearing, revealing Bailey on one knee. The crowd gawked at this while Bailey stood up straight.
"Introducing first, representing North Academy, the team of Tricer Rogers and Bailey Jones!" announced Justin as the North Academy students cheered as their tag team representatives made their way up to the platform. The song died down as the North Academy tag team awaited their opponents. On the opposite side of the arena, the Titantron there, showed a diamond replacing the normal hourglass symbol with a harpy silhouette in it.

Jasmine came out of the other entrance on the opposite side and the Duel Academy students cheered as she made her way to the platform while performing a few acrobatics.
"And their opponent's first… representing Duel Academy, Jasmine Makurada!" announced Justin. The crowd cheered loudly and as she got up to the platform and waved to the Duel Academy crowd. Jasmine's theme music died down as the Titantron's harpy symbol dialed back into an hourglass.
Play: Ben 10 Race Against Time Theme
Green smoke came out from small smoke machine props embedded in the ground that covered the whole entrance Jasmine came out of. A few seconds later into the song, Ben came out of that smoke while raising his custom Duel Disk (the one at the first chapter) and the crowd cheered loudly.
"And her Tag Team partner, Ben Tennyson!" announced Justin which the Duel Academy crowd cheered at Ben walked halfway towards the platform and stopped. He then activated the flashlight function on the hourglass symbol before putting his hand over it.
"IT'S HERO TIME!" cried Ben, which got the crowd cheering as well. As soon as the smokescreen was done, Ben walked over to his place on the platform next to Jasmine and the music died down.
"Good luck you guys." said Bailey.
"Thanks, you too!" replied Jasmine as Tricer looks at Ben hopefully.
"Tennyson, want to do the battle cries for old times sake?" asked Tricer.
"Sure. Ladies first." answered Ben as Bailey nodded before she placed her deck into her disk.
"Jungle Beast, Spirit Unleashed!" cried Bailey as Jasmine repeated the action.
"Duel!" cried Jasmine as Tricer repeated the action also.
"Dino Thunder, Power Up!" cried Tricer as Ben repeated the process.
"Going Hero!" cried Ben as the crowd cheered their favorite side while they drew their starting hands.

"Ladies and visitors first. (draws a card) For my first move, I'm going to summon my personal favorite." declared Bailey as she summoned Lily in Attack Mode.
"With the speed of the Cheetah, Jungle Fury Yellow Ranger." cried the yellow Duel Spirit while striking a few poses.
(Jungle Fury Yellow Ranger: ATK: 1600, DEF: 1400, LVL: 4, WIND, Beast-Warrior)
"Power Rangers?" gasped Bastion.
"You've seen that card before, Bastion?" asked Syrus as the group looks at him.
"No, but I've been hearing rumors of a multi-archetype series of cards with different Ranger teams. (cups chin) Now that I think about it, there was also a rumor that there was a Power Ranger team that relied mostly on Bailey's martial arts called Pai Zhua." answered Bastion.
"Really, then how come we haven't seen anyone use it before now?" asked Jaden.
"The Power Rangers multi-archetype series have only one copy of each team. It's about time we see one in action." commented Zane as they repaid their attention to the duel.
"I'll set these face-down and end my turn." finished Bailey as she sets two cards.
"My turn. (draws a card) First I summon Cyber Harpie Lady in Attack Mode and set a face-down. That's all for now." declared Jasmine as she sets a card before her armored Harpy appeared.
(Cyber Harpie Lady: ATK: 1800, DEF: 1300, LVL: 4, WIND, Winged-Beast)
"Alright. (draws a card.) Time for my personal favorite to come out." declared Tricer as he summoned Ethan in Defense Mode.
"Tricera Power, Dino Thunder Blue Ranger!" cried Ethan while posing.
(Dino Thunder Blue Ranger: ATK: 1200, DEF: 1800, LVL: 4, Earth, Warrior)
"Another Power Ranger?" gasped Syrus, along with the group.
"Wait a sec. The Blue and Yellow Rangers' chest logos match the ones on Tricer and Bailey's shirt." realized Jaden as he points at the logos while the group nods in surprise.
"Looks like we'll be seeing two teams in action instead." corrected Zane.
"Now I'll equip Dino Thunder Blue with Tricera Shield and end my turn." finished Tricer as he equips Ethan with his signature weapon.
"Tricera Shield!" cried Ethan as he holds his signature weapon in a shield position.
"Finally, it's my turn. (draws a card) I summon Alien Hero Diamondhead in Defense Mode and finish with a face-down." declared Ben as he sets a card while the Petrosapien hero kneels down in front of him with his shield arms.

"My draw. (draws a card) First I summon Jungle Fury White Ranger in Attack Mode." declared Bailey as she summoned Dominic.
"With the power of the Rhino, Jungle Fury White Ranger!" cried Dominic as he held his Rhino Morpher.

"Jungle Fury White, attack Cyber Harpie Lady." ordered Bailey as Dominic nods before activating his Morpher's blaster mode.
"Rhino Stampede!" cried Dominic as he shoots missiles from his Rhino Morpher at Cyber Harpie Lady.
"Not so fast. (reveals face-down) Go Double Passé! Now I take the attack!" explained Jasmine as the missiles re-directed around the Harpy and hit Jasmine instead.
(Duel Academy: 8000-6000)
"Isn't that... " trailed off Jaden while looking at Alexis.

"Darn it! I'm sorry I let you down." apologized Dominic as he lowers his head in shame.
"Don't worry, Dominic. You'll get another chance next turn. (Lily fake-coughs) You too, Lily." whispered Bailey loud enough for her spirits and teammate to hear.
"Are you done, yet? (Bailey nods) Good. (draws a card) Now I activate Elegant Egotist. Since I have a Harpie Lady on the field, I can summon Harpie Lady Sisters in Attack Mode." explained Jasmine as the Harpie 3/1 monster appears beside Cyber Harpie Lady.

"Now Sisters, attack Dino Thunder Blue Ranger with Tri-Blast." ordered Jasmine as the Sisters form a triangle before a blast of energy came out of the center and fired at Ethan.
"I don't think so!" cried Ethan as the blast hit the Tricera Shield while Ethan's arms began to glow scaly blue.

"WHAT?!" cried Jasmine surprised before Ethan pushed back the blast and hit Jasmine.

"Nothing can destroy my Tricera Shield." bragged Ethan as he re-positioned himself.
"How did the Blue Ranger double his Defense points?" wondered Jasmine.
"It's not the Blue Ranger's special ability. The Tricera Shield doubles the equipped monster's Defense points during an attack, and the boost wears off at the end of a turn. Tricer used the same tactic on me when we first dueled." explained Ben.
"Good thing he's not the only monster on the field. Cyber Harpie Lady, attack Jungle Fury Yellow." ordered Jasmine as Cyber Harpie Lady slashed Jungle Fury Yellow with her wing. destroying the cheetah-themed Ranger.

"Sorry, Lily. I'll avenge you." promised Bailey as Dominic turned his head to the side and nodded.
"And with that, I end my turn." finished Jasmine.

"Don't worry, Bailey. (draws a card) The Yellow Ranger may be down, but she's not out." declared Tricer as he summoned Kira.
"Ptera Power, Dino Thunder Yellow Ranger!" cried Kira while posing.
(Dino Thunder Yellow Ranger: ATK: 1600, DEF: 1400, LVL: 4, WIND, Warrior)
"Another Yellow Ranger?" groaned Syrus.
"Jeez, talk about passing the torch." quipped Jaden.
"And now for Dino Thunder Yellow's special ability. Once per turn, I can choose a card in your hand and that chosen card is sent to the graveyard. Go, Ptera Scream!" ordered Tricer as Kira screamed yellow sonic waves from under her helmet at Jasmine's hand while she and Ben cover their ears from the scream. As soon as the scream died down, Ben and Jasmine uncovered their ears while looking at their hands.
"Just great." muttered Jasmine sarcastically.
"I end my turn with a face-down." declared Tricer before setting a card.
"What about my signature weapon?" asked Kira sadly.
"Sorry, Kira, don't have it in my hand yet." answered Tricer as Kira slightly looked down sadly.
"My turn. (draws a card) I summon Alien Hero XLR8 in Attack Mode." declared Ben as the Kineceleran hero zoomed in his field.

"And to give XLR8 a power boost, I equip him with Proto-Tool. (Rook's signature weapon attaches to XLR8's shoulder) And I activate it's effect. (Proto-Tool's hourglass symbol changes to a clock with 6 numbers) Once per turn, the number the arrow hits changes the Proto-Tool's current mode." explained Ben as the minute arrow spins rapidly as Tricer, Bailey and their Rangers sweat on their forehead nervously.
'Please be a 1, please be a 1, please be a 1.' mentally chanted the Dino Thunder/Jungle Fury team as the arrow slows down drastically on 1. Tricer and Bailey crossed their fingers until the arrow lands on 3.
"Alright, it's a 3, and you 2 know what that means." chuckled Ben before the Proto-Tool changed into a bow as XLR8 held it.
"(Gulps) Anything but Bow Mode." grimaced Bailey as XLR8 pulls back an energy arrow.
"For every card you have on your field, you lose 100 Life Points depending on the equipped monster's level." explained Ben as the energy arrow multiplied to 7.
"Wait a second. They have those 3 Ranger cards, the Tricera Shield, those 3 face downs, and XLR8 is Level 4, so 3+1+3 times 4=... 2800 Life Points?!" gasped Jaden after setting the math before XLR8 fired the arrows at Tricer and Bailey, who blocked with their arms.

"Wow, they got a huge lead with just one card!" smiled Syrus.
"They might be able to win this thing!" fist-pumped Jaden.
"I'm not so sure... " trailed off Zane as the others looked at him curiously.
"What do you mean?" asked Alexis.
"You saw how Bailey and Tricer reacted when Ben first activated that card. Since they're childhood friends, they basically know each other's deck and strategies by heart. Ben knows both of them that well, so he could be in a disadvantage. If he dueled either of them in a Single Duel, then the sides would be even, but with 2 of them in a Tag Duel and Jasmine not knowing them, Ben might try to adapt without her. And since both opponents know Ben's deck, that leaves only one against him while the other goes against Jasmine, which would be a fair duel." explained Zane.
"Not to mention Jasmine's reaction when Bailey hugged Ben earlier. She might make some mistakes since she'll be blinded by jealousy." added Mindy.
"Ditto." agreed the others before paying attention to the duel.
"Unfortunately, XLR8 can't attack during the turn Bow Mode was activated, so I end my turn." grimaced Ben as Bailey drew a card.
"Well, I summon Jungle Fury Red Ranger in Attack Mode!" declared Bailey as she summoned Casey.
"With the strength of the Tiger, Jungle Fury Red Ranger!" cried Casey while striking a pose.

"And it's time to bring out the shark!" cried Bailey as she equipped Casey with his secondary weapon.
"Shark Sabers!" cried Casey as he twirled his sabers.
"Jungle Fury Red, attack XLR8!" ordered Bailey as Casey nodded before he waved his swords as he began to ride an ocean wave.
"Shark Wave!" cried Casey as he slashed XLR8's chest, destroying the Kineceleran.

"No more Proto-Tool." sighed Dominic relieved.
"I activated my trap, A Hero Emerges! You have to choose a card in my hand and if it's a monster, I can summon it onto the field. Choose wisely." smirked Ben as he held his two cards while Bailey looks nervously.
"Um... I choose... the right!" declared Bailey while pointing at the card.
"Well, what do you know? It's a monster, and I'm pretty sure you're both familiar with Alien Hero Ghostfreak!" declared Ben as the Ectonurite hero folds his arms, unable to take a knee since he doesn't have any.

"Not him! Anybody but him!" shuddered the Ranger Spirits as Bailey slightly pales.
"I-I end my t-t-turn with a f-f-facedown." stuttered Bailey.
"Why did she hesitate? She could've destroyed that card easily." asked Mindy.
"Because they know the consequences of destroying that monster. Benjamin's Alien Hero Ghostfreak has a special ability to give control of the monster that destroyed him to his controller." answered Bastion, recalling Ben's explanation during his duel against Predabern.
"My draw. (draws a card) I activate the field spell Harpies Hunting Ground." declared Jasmine as the area changes to a desert while the Harpies strengthened.

"Harpie Lady Sisters, attack Jungle Fury Red Ranger." ordered Jasmine as the Harpie Lady Sisters swoop towards Casey and slash him, destroying him.

"Not so fast! I activate the trap, Ranger Color Coordination! When a Ranger monster is destroyed, I get to summon one from my deck that has the same sub-archetype." explained Tricer as Ben gulped.
"He's bringing it in." muttered Ben dramatically as Tricer searched his deck before picking a card and putting it on the Duel Disk.
"Come on out, Dino Thunder Red Ranger!" cried Tricer as Conner appeared on the field.
"Tyranno Power, Dino Thunder Red Ranger!" cried Conner while striking a pose.

"And I forgot to mention that when Jungle Fury Red Ranger is destroyed while equipped with Shark Sabers, I get to summon Shark Ranger from my hand." added Bailey as a spiritual Casey appears and does a series of poses.
"Spirit Ranger; Shark!" yelled Casey as the Shark Animal Spirit comes out of him and formed into Master Finn.

"Master Finn!" gasped Dominic as Finn looked at Bailey.
"Greetings, Bailey. Is my son in your hand yet? (Bailey shakes her head) I see." sighed Finn sadly.
"Did you forget about someone, Bailey? Cyber Harpie Lady, attack Dino Thunder Red Ranger!" ordered Jasmine as Cyber Harpie Lady flew towards Connor.
"I activate the Trap, Magic Cylinder! This Trap allows me to negate the attack and you take damage equal to the attacking monster!" declared Bailey as two cylinders appear, each facing either team. Cyber Harpie Lady entered one and exited through the other, slashing Ben and Jasmine's sides.

"I end my turn with a face-down." winced Jasmine before setting a card.
"They're planning something." noted Zane.
"Huh? What makes you say that?" blinked Jaden.
"Bailey used her trap to protect her partner's monster instead of her own. If she used it first, Jasmine would've been cautious of Tricer's remaining face-down and finish her Battle Phase. Thanks to Ranger Color Coordination, Jasmine focused on Tricer's monsters instead of Bailey's. Whatever they're planning, I bet those Dino Thunder Rangers have a large part in it, and Shark Ranger is a contingency." explained Zane as Bastion's eyes widened.
"Egads!" gasped Bastion.
"You figured it out Bastion?" questioned Syrus.
"Perhaps, but we'll have to wait to see if my theory is true." assured Bastion.
"My turn. (draws a card before looking at hand and smirks) Looks like this is it." laughed Tricer as Jasmine remains cautious while Ben gulped.
"You have it in your hand?" asked Bailey as Tricer nods.
"Since I already have these monsters on the field, I sacrifice Dino Thunder Red, Blue, and Yellow to summon Tyranno, Tricera, and Ptera Biozords respectively." informed Tricer as the main 3 Zords appeared while Connor, Ethan, and Kira jumped into them.

"Wow, they're huge!" awed Syrus at the sight.
"Come to think of it, they seem really familiar." noted Jaden with a curled finger under his chin.
"That's because the Power Rangers are what inspired the cards that Chazz used during your last Duel, Jaden." noted Bastion as Jaden awed in understanding.
"I'm getting a serious sense of deja vu." shook Chazz.
"Wait a minute, if Chazz's cards back then could combine, does that mea-" paused Chumley.
"Now that the main 3 are on the field, I get to send them to the bottom of my deck to combine them!" declared Tricer as the Zords formed a Megazord.
(Thundersaurus Megazord: ATK: 3000, DEF: 2500, LVL: 8, EARTH, Machine)
"Oh snap!" awed Jaden.
"Great Scott!" proclaimed Bastion.
"Why did I open my big mouth?" wondered Chumley.
"It's as powerful as the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon!" gasped Syrus.
"Something tells me he's not done." noted Zane.
"...Am I the only one who noticed the volcanic background when the Zords combined?" blinked Alexis, being shocked about the background rather than the formation.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Emergency Zord Summon!. When I activate this, I'm allowed to Tribute one of my Rangers to summon a specific Zord from my Deck." explained Bailey.
"We forgot about her first face-down." grimaced Jasmine.
"I Tribute Jungle Fury Shark Ranger to summon Shark Spirit Zord!" declared Bailey as Finn's aura consumed him and formed into the Shark Animal Spirit.
(Shark Spirit Zord: ATK: 1800, DEF: 1200, LVL: 5, WATER, Fish)
"What's the point? Neither Jungle Pride or Jungle Master Megazord are on the field." asked Ben confused as Bailey smirks.
"Who says only Jungle Fury Megazords are allowed?" asked Bailey as Ben stares at her confused until he pieced it together.
"You gotta be kidding me." realized Ben as Tricer smirks.
"That's right, Tennyson! I'm using Shark Spirit's Union Effect and equipping it onto Thundersaurus!" declared Tricer as the background around Shark Spirit Zord turned into an ocean.
"Spirit of the Shark, combine!" yelled the Dino Thunder trio as Shark Spirit separated itself as Thundersaurus loses it's Triceratops hand and drill hand, leaving normal black hands. Thundersaurus stands up straight with palms facing the thighs as the shark tail halves attached to Thundersaurus' hands while the upper body formed a new helmet and mask for the Megazord.

"Thundersaurus with Shark Power!" proclaimed the Dino Thunder trio as the Megazord leaned it's upper body to the side and posed with it's arms on the other side, forming a shark silhouette.
"Egads! I never thought that it would be possible!" gasped Bastion.
"Using the power of 2 Ranger teams is a very impressive feat." complimented Zane.
"Sweetness! I hope I get to face a Megazord someday." grinned Jaden.
"Only you would want to face something like that." giggled Alexis.
"Thundersaurus Megazord, attack Alien Hero Ghostfreak." ordered Tricer as the Megazord nods.
"Dino Wave!" yelled the Dino Thunder trio as Thundersaurus runs toward Ghostfreak with the arm blades pointed away while the Megazord leans before the upper body began spinning like a drill as the blades surged with water.
"Did I forget to mention that the Megazord that's equipped with Shark Spirit Zord deals piercing damage?" smirked Bailey as the Dino Wave destroyed Ghostfreak, creating a smoke cloud that covered their field.

"WHAT?! What kind of card lets you keep 1 Life Point?!" yelled Tricer, surprised rather than angered.
"The kind that activates in the Graveyard, that's what!" smirked Jasmine as the smoke cleared, revealing.
"The Graveyard? But you didn't discard any- (eyes widen) The card that my Yellow Ranger destroyed!" realized Tricer as Jasmine nods.
"I activated the Spell Hung on Death. By removing it from play, we're allowed to keep 1 Life Point when we receive damage." explained Jasmine while pocketing the card.
"Smart move. (nods) I end my turn." sighed Tricer.
"My draw. (draws a card while eyes widen before smiling) You know, (draws Ranger team's attention) it's been a long time since I've said this, but since the gang's back together, I think it's time to bring it back." smirked Ben as Bailey and Tricer paled.
"IT'S PAYBACK TIME!"
The crowd began murmuring among themselves when they heard the declaration.
"It's payback time?" copied Jaden.
"What's he talking about?" wondered Foster.
"To be honest, this is the first time I heard this as well, but there's one thing I'm certain about. (smirks) Ben has this Duel in the bag." chuckled Shepard, confidently.
"Here's another Alien Hero I haven't introduced. I Tribute Diamondhead to summon Alien Hero Cannonbolt." declared Ben as Diamondhead shattered into diamonds before being replaced by Classic Cannonbolt in his Ball Mode.

"Seriously?! How many Alien Heroes does Tennyson have?!" snarled Chazz, loud enough for the whole stadium to hear.
"Let's see. (raises fingers) There's Heatblast, Wildmutt, Diamondhead, XLR8, Grey Matter, Four Arms, Stinkfly, Ripjaws, Upgrade, Ghostfreak, Spitter, Ditto, and now Cannonbolt. Not including the Fusions, that would be 13." counted Bastion, grinning at Chazz's steaming face.
"I activate Polymerization to combine Alien Hero Cannonbolt with Alien Hero Four Arms to summon one of my strongest fusions!" declared Ben as Cannonbolt suddenly turned red, the armor turned white, the arms got larger and longer, he gained 2 extra eyes and arms, and his eyes turned orange.

"Dang, that's strong!" gawked Syrus.
"Yes, but will it be enough to defeat Thundersaurus?" questioned Bastion.
"I'll have Cannon Arms attack Thundersaurus and use his special ability. If the monster he's battling is equipped with a Union monster, then the equipped Monster is un-equipped and forced into a battle." explained Ben as Cannon Arms went into Ball Mode (basically a white version of Cannonbolt's) and ricocheted onto Shark Spirit Zord's parts, forcing the Zord off to re-assemble on Bailey's field.

"Great Scott, now he could destroy Thundersaurus safely!" noted Bastion.
"So you're gonna let Cannon Arms take all the glory?" wondered Jasmine with a raised eyebrow.
"Ahahah (wags a finger), I didn't say who I'm forcing Shark Spirit Zord into battle with." smirked Ben, shocking Jasmine until she smirked.
"Cannon Arms and Harpie Lady sisters, attack Thundersaurus and Shark Spirit with Quadruple Impact and Tri-Blast!" synced the D.A duo as Cannon Arms in Ball Mode hit Thundersaurus in the Tyranno head while the Sisters' signature attack hit Shark Spirit Zord, destroying them both.

"Um, they're still standing." obviously stated Chumley.
"No kidding Sherlock." deadpanned Syrus.
"I activate Cannon Arms' other effect. If the monster he destroyed happens to be a Fusion Monster, then you take 200 points of damage for the total of each Materials' level." noted Ben as Cannon Arms entered Basic Mode with his arms reared back.
"All the Biozords' Levels were 5 and there were three of them, so that would be... 3000?!" gasped Alexis.
"Cannon Arms, finish this Duel! Power Slam!" exclaimed Ben as Cannon Arms jumped high into the air and slammed his fists upon Tricer and Bailey.

The Duel Academy crowed cheered loudly as the holograms disappeared and the duels disks deactivated. Ben's theme song played throughout the arena as Justin Roberts announced. "The winner of this match: The team of Jasmine Makurada and Ben Tennyson!"
Ben and Jasmine sighed in relief.
"That was a close one." noted Jasmine.
"Yeah. Good thing we had a Life Point since Cannon Arms can't be summoned if we have even 1 more. (Jasmine widened her eyes) That's the drawback for using Fusion Alien Heroes from 2 monsters above level 5. Unfortunately, we only kept 1 Life Point. If Jaden doesn't win his match, then it was all for nothing." grimaced Ben.
"Yeah!" cheered Jaden.
"They won!" added Alexis while hugging Jaden before they realized what she did and blushed.
"Way to play!" added Syrus as Jaden and Alexis separate.
"That was a totally lishus duel those two did." nodded Chumley.
"Yes, they played their cards well. And I'm sure that Jaden will make his half like this." smiled Bastion.
"They made Duel Academy proud." added Zane.
"That's my girl." smiled Mrs. Makurada.
"Grrrrr…" growled Foster.
"I told you so Foster." chuckled Sheppard.
"So what!? Your Singles Rep still has to go through my Singles Rep! Mark my words, that prize will be mine!" snapped Foster.
"... Why did everyone forget about me?" pouted Dominic in spirit form, no one noticing, not even the spiritually aware.
Jaden: That was a somewhat comedic ending.

Omarnosian10: If you want to know what gives me the idea to make these OCs, I'll tell you. In personality, Tricer is like a dinosaur version of Kevin while Bailey is like Starfire, excluding the language, of course.
Syrus: Why does Tricer have that name?
Omarnosian10: The main Dinosaur Deck user is named Tyranno Hassleberry and you're questioning me why one of the OCs has a dinosaur name?
Syrus: Fair point.
Omarnosian10: A few other things I need to tell the audience before ending this. The Decks will be put on the profile, there will be a 'flashback' saga after this, and there will be a few more OCs in this story. SMOKEBOMB!
