As I was saying, you're good at volleyball, an avid reader, a surprisingly good boxer…what can you not do? - He asked sarcastically as he got up on his elbows and looked at her.

-…I'm also a pretty decent violinist – She smirked and he just laughed as he splayed himself back down on the ring.

That scene kept replaying in her head as she was convinced some other persona lived inside her and was so confident and smart. She sometimes wished she could be that person all the time instead of the dull short girl with a closet full of skeletons.

"Sky! Dinner's ready!" Taini called her from the kitchen and for the first time since they had started living together she didn't feel like having dinner with them, or coming out from under the covers for that matter. But then she remembered they were celebrating that day, Claude's album had hit number one in sales across the country and his single "circumstances" had been on the top of world charts for the sixth week in a row. She pushed the heavy cover off and pulled herself out of bed.

Quickly she changed out of her pajamas and washed her face, pulled her hair up in a bun fashion and hurried down the steps; her lips curved up into a smile she didn't feel and her conversation was fluid and thoughtless, as natural as if she didn't feel like something you avoid on the sidewalks and streets. Her phone vibrated again against her rump and the chair since she had crammed it in her back pocket and lowered the volume completely, it was probably her uncle Dove who hadn't stopped calling since they had gotten back from the beach and was becoming more insistent since she had not gone and seen them for over two weeks now. Sky apologized mentally and decided that she'd text him later about the current situation, suddenly Mary Jane's phone rang and the conversation lowered to soft voices as they tried to keep the flow of excitement at bay so Claude could finish telling them about the interviews and possible tour that was in store for him, and them since they were his opening band.

Mary Jane suddenly turned her phone on speaker and placed it on the table as her face expressed her contained squeal. –Can you repeat that Mr. Jones? – Her voice was also bursting with happiness.

-Ok I guess I'm on speaker now, cool! – Uncle simba who was the friendliest out of her three father figures retorted. – I was just asking about your vacation schedules since Claude will start touring in a few weeks. - at this point he paused and Mary Jane squealed excitedly and Taini jumped up with a huge grin and turned to Sky, who imitated her friend and punched the air as Claude ran rampant around the whole kitchen, after what felt extremely long to Sky Simba finally spoke up. – So, when can you guys let me know? – And at that point Sky froze up on the inside because she could feel the stares from the group of people who lived with her. She cleared her throat and emulated Roxanne's voice as perfectly as she faked her own mood.

Always go straight ahead Sky, head first into everything…well answering uncle simba's question after she hadn't contacted them in two weeks when she usually wouldn't go a day without at least texting them, could count as going head first right? She was living life exactly like her Dad had told her…right?.

Dinner lasted a long time and plans were made for every major city they had always wanted to visit, and by the time Sky was finally able to wrap herself in her covers she wasn't sleepy anymore. She allowed herself to finally check her missed calls and texts; curiously enough there was a text from her Uncle Simba who had worked his magic as always.

"What's wrong?"

He didn't appear online so his immediate answer came as a surprise when she called him, "Hi Simba, sorry I just haven't had the time to text you lately".

"You can't lie to perfect pitch munchkin"

How did he know that was his contact name on her phone? As much as her Uncle amused her it brought back the jitters of having to think too much about what had gone down after their return from the beach. She covered her face with the covers, staring right at the screen she wondered if being honest with him counted as going straight ahead but even when she had let it all out she still didn't have the answer. She didn't know what she expected of him or what she wanted him to do, but she wished she could sleep, or that her weekend could have stayed as every other weekend; while she was wishing her life away the other side of the line came to life again.

"Do you want me to pick you up?"

She added another wish to her list, she wished she could be with her Uncle at that exact moment. But Neonika was more important, her friends needed stability and she wasn't about to take that away from them, that or their excitement; and so she did what she knew best, closed her eyes and imagined none of that had ever happened.

Cameron's deep blue eyes looked hard as he quickly passed down the corridor that lead from his office to Jack's, he had mixed feelings about Dom not being there; partly because he knew Dom would rampage as soon as he found out what Sky had told him and he wanted to relieve little Sky of her problems, at the same time he was sure that wasn't the best course of action if he wanted to get rid of the menace in his pseudo daughter's life, so he breathed in and out a few times while his hand took hold of the handle and pushed the door open.

Jack's tidy brown hair greeted him and he briskly headed to his desk, his golden eyes stared at his screen and his hand jotted down some notes in a notepad next to his mouse. –Yes? - His eyes behind the black rimmed glasses never left the screen.

-Uh…Gigi – And suddenly Jack's eyes were upon him in a comedic intent at an angry glare, although the message was clear "the only one who can call me that is Sky". Cameron lifted his hands in defeat and held a long pause to his lips to formulate his speech correctly in his head.

-You keep staring at me, what's up?

He swallowed hard. – Elle went to Sky's house about two weeks ago – Jack stared blankly at him and suddenly the room became like a tightrope and Jack's tense body would snap at any moment, Cameron seized the moment to explain as much as he could and the essential parts were out there by the time Jack took off his glasses.

-Is that why she was so quiet lately? – Jack rubbing the bridge of his nose was a good sign; at least he was trying to keep it together.

-Yeah…

-Why didn't she tell us when Elle got there? – There was a sad timbre in his voice; Jack was always scared of not being reliable in other people's eyes, or responsible or trustworthy and Cameron felt guilty, mostly for prying it out of Sky who could never hide anything in her voice and especially from her good uncle Simba.

-She was scared Dom would try to murder Elle and, in all honesty I'm sort of preoccupied about that too…but mostly it was…uh…- He rubbed his neck nervously and held on to his last sentence as long as he could until Jack became impatient.

-Spit it out Cam! - Jack looked up at him anxiously.

-She took the little runt with her…Callaghan's kid – And there it was, Jack square set jaw and a tone of voice that expressed barely contained anger.

-Please don't tell me she tried to pass it off as-

-A family reunion…- Sudden silence and Jack's freckled face was red with what Cameron guessed was anger, he quickly swiped his phone of the counter and asked the receptionist to call Sky in and to pick her up at Sweet Amoris high, whether she wanted it or not and then asked her to call his lawyer.

-Elle always wants us to get our hands dirty when it comes to her. – Jack sentenced once he hung up.

Rosa was amazed when she saw the big burly guy with tattoos, who got off from the flashy sports car and asked for "Miss Sky Rush" but was glad to see that Alexy looked even more impressed than she did, they were even more amazed when they saw her come out and wave weakly. When they turned Mary Jane and Taini looked as if nothing had happened.

-That was her uncle – Rosa gaped and Alexy gasped loudly as they headed each their own way.

-That huge guy was her uncle?! What must her Dad look like then?! – Rosa exclaimed.

-Don't know, we've never seen him – Taini shrugged and kept walking as if nothing. – She should be back by tomorrow though.

- Damn Sky! – Alexy replied. – I can't believe she has such scary looking relatives, like he had this murderous glare.

-But he's a really sweet person! – Mary Jane cut in and her two new friends stared at her and then back at Taini.

-Kids right – She just shrugged and kept walking with a small smile on her face, at that moment the prospect of touring was everything they had in their heads. That's why surprise came so easily when Rosa and Alexy chatted up about plans on going to see Neonika in Kamillo during vacation.

-Wait what? – Mary Jane's neck almost hurt with the force she used to turn and look at her friends.

-Concert! Rosa is almost sure Neonika is having a concert in vacation time and we're planning on going, wanna come with? – Taini guessed what Mary Jane was thinking and felt nervous, lying their way out of vacation plans was a whole other set of plans they needed to discuss with Sky as soon as she got back.

Sky

Things are so different here, everyone is huge! And working out is so hard…I really wish you were with me…these guys don't stand a chance against your punches; or against you in general…I Just….GOD! I MISS YOU! I miss you so much, almost as much as I miss my mom. Scratch that I think I miss you more (lol) it'll just be a couple of months and when I come back you'll look to me for protection, you'll see Sky.

XOXOXOXO, your Ken.

The way to Kamillo seemed long, as always, and she was anxious yet again as always. She bit her lip nervously and regretted telling her uncle about Elle going to visit her after the beach trip and she remembered as if it had just happen; her two friends getting off of Castiel's car, Taini's playful banter with him and taking her guitar from the back seat because goldy earned his place and with a vivid sense of nervousness in the pit of her stomach, one that she had been nursing ever since they said farewell to the resort she turned. And there sitting in the bench swing at the porch was the woman with the elfish sort of face she had not inherited, or the big hazel eyes that nature had denied her and lustrous reddish brown waves framed the face of someone who was very much connected to her past.

-Sky – She cringed inwardly at the sound of that voice she had not heard in ten years and signaled her friends to go inside the house and then she walked past her. She made an awful pleading face to her and Sky felt the urge to snap at her like a mad dog but instead decided to place her bags behind the door and shut it.

-This way – was all she uttered as she walked a ways from her home waving at Castiel in the meantime, he made a questioning face and she just smiled – Later period hair – and that was enough to make him huff and indignantly speed away. – What do you need form me? – She asked in the curtest way she could when she came to halt half a block away from the house and turned to her. Elle stared at her face in a strange way and mentioned how sun burnt she looked and Sky just stared on; it must have seemed comical to anyone from the outside, two extremely short women with dead serious expressions but then Elle spoke up.

- Don't you want to come back and live with me? –a question the teen found particularly insulting. She rubbed her nose – Listen…please, I also wanted to apologize to you, you know everything that went down all that time ago – and it seemed as though she was still speaking to a seven year old and apathy surged up trough her throat and into her eyes.

-Why would you do that? – She had looked as if she wanted to say something but Sky kept talking – It's not like it'll fix anything, besides you were old enough to understand what you did and I'm not asking for an explanation- That's when Elle gave her that desperate look and pulled her arm softly.

-Please Sky, we can be a family again – She loosened her grip. – You can call me mom…I did birth you after all… - Sky pulled her arm away and stuffed her hands in her pockets, rejecting people was always awkward.

-After roughly ten years you come back and expect me to, what do you expect? Be as specific as you can.

- Well I did bring Lucas here…he's over there in the park – and she pointed at the corner in front of her current residence. - And he likes SkyTower, it's so weird I think that if you would just give him a chance then you-

-I'd what? – Stone faced and with cold grey eyes she looked straight ahead, didn't even glance at the kid in the park. – How do you intend to explain the part where I look completely different form him? And why I haven't been there all this time? Maybe how I got that flashy scar on my elbow? – She huffed – You really didn't think this trough huh?

- Sky I am your mother and I will do anything in my power for us to be together again, there is no better person for you to be with than me! Your own flesh and blood!- That's when her hand shot up to gesture and Sky felt herself flinch a bit although it went unnoticed. She sighed and lifted the palm of her hand in a receiving motion and Elle looked quizzically at her, but before she could ask her estranged daughter spoke up.

-Give me back my dad; if you can't do that then you have nothing to do here.
