Bajan's P.O.V.
I'm just walking along the halls of this stupid old castle, alone, and I keep getting snippets of memories as I went. I would see my mom by the pavilion outside which made no sense because I never met her, I saw my dad shooting targets outside, and even weirder, I would see everyone here as kids. I didn't know any of them back then. I didn't even meet Jerome until I was eight and a half.
UUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG! Why the Nether is this place so familiar and why the Nether can I not figure out why! I call bull crap!
I began to hear creaking, indicating that the floor I was on was weaker than the food I was on before, but it was only for a few feet before it stopped creaking, which is unusual. I walked back over that section of the floor, noticing it was exactly two meters across that it creaked. I pulled up the carpet to find a latch right along the edge of the dark oak wood boards. Unlike the floor everywhere else, these borers were rougher than the smooth board my shoes thudded across before I lifted the carpet. I pulled the latch and, just as I thought, the trapdoor that was hidden there opened with a small clicking noise. There was an old ladder that lead down ward, but half of it rings were missing. I really didn't want to take my chances with it, but I did anyway. Curiosity killed the cat, but I always believed Stupidity killed the cat and curiosity was framed. It was a long way down ,but I carefully slid down the old ladder anyways. When I way same on the ground I moved my hair out of my eyes and looked around. I was in a room of some sort... It had white and black smooth marble floors, the walls were carved from a black quarts, and dim lighten came from glowstone pillars in the corners. There were many bookcases and an enchantment table in the corer, there was also a birch wood desk in the far corner. There were tons of photo albums laying on the floor in odd patterns. Almost as if it were meant to be a photo itself. What was even creepier was the fact that there was one for everyone here. Even those who weren't involved. Even recent photos. One of us just coming in the the castle for the first time. Where did these come from? There was also an open journal on the table. I don't know whose it is, but I guess it's time to find out. I flipped through the time worn pages all the way to page one.
Entry one:
They were born today. All fifteen of those who were to become our saviors. What I don't understand though, is why the were all born with the mark, and it disappeared only an hour later. Maybe it was a sign that it was them, but they would have to earn it from that point and beyond. Maybe one of us knows and they'll put it in the journal. I hope that our children find this when they get older.
Sincerely,
Laurana
This was there parent's journal? What? I'll have to show this to Z later. I heard something fall on the cold marble floor behind me. It was a set of silver dog tags, but it had a key in the middle. I picked them up to see that the silver was still shiny and new, but the key was old and warn down. I couldn't make out the name in the dim lighting,so I put it around my neck for safe keeping. What it went to, I don't know, but I guess I'll find out later. That's when I saw the door on the other side of the room. It had fifteen locks. Fifteen locks, fifteen keys, fifteen children. Maybe they're linked. Oh well. I'm getting out of here now. I walked back to the ladder and gently grabbed the first rung above my head. I place my left foot on the first rung to the ground, and repeated the process with my right. I was about halfway up the leader when the rung I grabbed, snapped under my weight. I was nearly thrown off the ladder in surprise, and considering I was probably 30 blocks off the ground and solid marble being directly underneath me, I'm incredibly grateful for my quick reflexes. I grabbed the ring above the one that snapped and quickly hauled myself up the rest of it before I fell , I got up the the top I sealed the trap door and covered it back up with the carpet. After that I ran through the halls with a million questions running throughout my head.
Ender's P.O.V.
"So you came to hang out with me because Deadlox and Z are getting on you nerves?" Fia inquired of me. Sky was here too, but he was just listening nonchalantly. Fia looked like she was about to burst out laughing, and Sky just shrugged. He wasn't wearing his sunglasses which surprised me, but it was good at the same time.
"Yeah pretty much." I replied. I leaned back in the chair and place my feet on the marble counter. Fia took an apple from the center of the counter and started munching on on it quietly. "I know I'm British, but he doesn't have to be racist about it. And Z shouldn't have to yell at him to get a little info on the situation. So I came here to avoid the living Nether." I took a sip out of my water bottle, but then realized how thirsty I was, so I began to guzzle it down.
"That makes sense then. They squabble like an old married couple half the time." Sky retorted. I spit my water everywhere and Fia nearly choked on her apple in pure laughter. "What'd I say?" Sky asked. Fia fell out of her chair laughing so hard she was snorting, which in turn made me laugh harder and Sky to start laughing.
"I'm so done!" I yelled out in laughter, copping Bodil for DA LOLZ! That's about when Bodil walked in.
"That's my phrase!" he yelled before laugh along with us. HOLY NOTCH his laughter is ridiculous!
