Corrie woke up the next morning, the bright light from the sun made the tent feel like it was a million degrees. She gently pulled the blankets away from her body and quickly dressed herself trying to leave quickly and silently before Shane woke up to notice that she was gone. As good as Corrie felt last night, those feelings had been left where they were and didn't follow her over to the next day. She felt guilty like she was tricking Shane back into loving her, she knew he wasn't over her and for her to come back unexpectedly was wrong. Especially since she knew he was trying to move on, Corrie wasn't naive, she knew something was going on with the blonde everyone called Andrea.

Zipping the door open to the text Corrie crawled out to see her brother and Lori sitting down at a picnic table and Andrea walking towards her.

"Has anyone seen Shane?"

Corrie looked at the blonde and shook her head. "No, I just woke up." Corrie quickly zipped the tent door back up and walked over to her brother. She sat beside him and sighed. She didn't know what to do or where to turn she was lost, but she knew no matter what Rick was always going to be there for her. He was in many ways her father.

"You okay there Corky?"

"I am just happy that you are here." Corrie's eyes began to fill up with tears, she felt Rick's arms wrap around her and she began to cry into his chest. He was her big brother and she had never loved anyone more then she loved him. Right or wrong Rick had always taken care of her and had her back. It was no different now.

"It is all going to be okay Cor. Just give it time."

Carl looked at Corrie who was clearly upset, he hated to see his aunt crying. He was only young but he wanted to help as much as he could.

"Aunt Corrie, do you want to go for a walk with me to help me find some more wood?"

Corrie dried her tears and a smile came upon her sad face. She nodded her head in agreement. "I would love to buddy, you finish your breakfast and we will go right away."

"Come with me for a second Corrie, I need your help before you go into the woods with Carl." Rick pulled his sister up, he could see the pain and conflict written all over her face.

The two walked into Dale's RV which was silent and private. Rick wanted to be able to have a heart to heart with his sister. He really wanted to get down to the reason why she left in the first place. He knew how humiliated Shane was being stood up at the alter with most of the town sat staring at him wondering why his perfect bride to be decided to run.

"Corrie, I need to know why you left." Rick paused. "Not for Shane but for me. You didn't give me any reason. You didn't just leave Shane that day you left us all."

Corrie looked down in shame, she knew she was going to have to take responsibility for her actions and if there was one thing that Corrie hated it was having to admit she was wrong and say sorry. "I heard these girls talking… saying Shane things about Shane. They weren't things I didn't already know but I felt like I was taking away this life that he had before me. Apart of me thought I would be giving him back a life he deserved. I don't mean it in a bad way either, I felt like I was taking away a life he wanted and making him stay with me." Corrie sighed, she fought back tears. She was so fucking tried of crying, she wanted to be tough and be able to get over the heart break. "Of course I thought about all the things I had to give up to be with Shane but honestly… deep down I thought he was doing this because he thought it was the right thing to do. Yenno, because you are my brother. He couldn't just stop calling without a reason. Like he was stuck."

Rick rubbed his scruffy beard, he was processing everything Corrie was saying and somewhere in his mind all he could see was Shane sitting on a couch pathetically waiting for Corrie to come back to him. How it was months before he ever shaved his face. "I have never seen such a pathetic man in my entire life after you left. Corrie he was lifeless when you left him. I know he is in that tent asleep, I seen you sneaking out. He's getting better, Andrea… she was helping him getting better. You need to stop sneaking around if you are going to love Shane for the rest of your life you have to decide what you are going to do. You cannot keep ruining that man. You're killing him Corrie. You're killing yourself. This pain, all of this is unnecessary. Stop hurting everyone. Especially yourself. Find out what it is you want, go for that."
