Chapter 9 Summary: It is five years after Celestia's first day at Hogwarts, and she has been with Renee and/or Charlie for a few months. She has a flashback to the moment when she is sent away by Lucius. He appeared at Durmstrang during her fourth year (where the twins attended that year) after Harry defeats Voldemort/Quirrell his first year. Celestia is sent to live with Renee and Charlie (Her uncle Ted's muggle half-brother). With their aunt/godparents Andromeda and Edward Tonks acting as secret keepers.

I watch fascinated as the muggle town of Phoenix passes by me in the contraption they call a car as Renee drives me to the airport with the windows down.

After eight months of living with Charlie and Renee, they divorced. Which resulted in Renee and I moving from Forks, Washington to Phoenix, Arizona. A year later I was moving again to live with Charlie.

I decided to move in with Charlie after Renee asked her serious boyfriend to move in. Since he doesn't know the truth about me I decided it would be easier on everyone if I moved to Forks. Also, he is a bus-bell player I believe? I don't know what the muggles called it. It's a game played on the ground with a beater and a keeper. His job requires him to travel frequently and I could see that Renee was dying to go with him.

It was to Forks that I now exiled myself- an action that I took with great horror. I detested Forks.

I hate how it reminds me of the life I left behind in England, the green terrain and constant rain. But I guess that's the reason I also loved it...

"Bella." Renee says to me. "You don't have to do this." We became a bit close since I've been with her, but I need to do this.

"I want to go." I lie. People say that I can't lie, and they are right. Isabella Swan can't, but Bella Malfoy can.

"Tell Charlie I said hi." That should not be awkward at all.

"I will."

"I'll see you soon." she insists. "You can come whenever you want- I'll come right back as soon as you need me."

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." I smile. "Thank you so much for everything Renee."

She hugs me tightly for a minute before ushering me into the security line. I get on the plane, and then she's gone.

It's a four-hour flight from Phoenix to Seattle, another hour in a small plane up to Port Angeles, and then an hour drive back down to Forks. Flying doesn't bother me, I have always loved being in the air. There was a time when I thought that was how I wanted to spend my life. The hour-long drive with Charlie worried me a bit I must admit. I haven't spent much time alone with him.

Charlie had been ecstatic when I asked him if I could move in. He and Renee never had children, and I guess I had become like his daughter in his eyes. Or he felt closer to his brother when around me.

Since we constantly talked, and video chatted on Skye, he admitted that he was a tad excited for the move. I am already enrolled in school. And he is even going to help me get a car, since I can't apparate obviously. That is what I was most excited for after receiving my license months previous. In Phoenix Renee would drive me wherever I needed to go.

When I get to the airport, Charlie is waiting for me by his car with the bright lights. The last time I was here he had explained his job to me. He is a police officer, sort of like an auror for muggles.

Charlie gives me an awkward, one-armed hug when I stumble off the plane. Unfortunately, when I became Isabella Swan, I became incredibly clumsy. I had yet to figure out why.

"It's good to see you Bells." He says smiling at me, helping to steady me. "You haven't changed much. How was the flight?"

"Long. It's good to see you too Ch-Dad." I say. I will need to get used to calling him that in public. He smiles at me, eyes crinkling in the edges.

"Why couldn't you have done the evaporating thing you people do? I used to see Ted to it all the time when he would come visit." He says once we get in the car.

I chuckle at his lack of knowledge of Wizard terms.

"Apparating?" He looks at me sheepishly. " I can't until I'm of age. The ministry's got a tracker on anyone that uses underage magic."

"Sorry." I glare playfully at him. I'm so sure. He smiles at me sheepishly.

"How's Renee?"

"She's fine."

I only had a few bags. Most of my Arizona clothes were too permeable for Washington. My warmer clothes were few. I would have to go shopping soon. My favorite activity. Note the sarcasm.

"I found a good car for you, really cheap." He announces when we're strapped in.

"What kind of car is it?" I ask. I was suspicious of the way he says, "good car for you" instead of just "good car."

"Well, it's a truck actually, a Chevy." Is that supposed to mean something to me?

"Where did you acquire it?"

"Do you remember Billy Black down in La Push?"

"No."

"He went fishing with us that summer right after we adopted you. But he and his son would also come down for dinner occasionally."

That explained it. I do a good job of blocking painful, unnecessary things from my memory. Oh, fond memories. If only Dad and my brothers could have seen me fishing.

"He's in a wheelchair now," He continues when I don't respond. "So, he can't drive anymore, and he offered to sell me his car cheap."

"How cheap is cheap?" I ask wearily. Now a days I have to watch how much money I spend, since I no longer have access to the Malfoy or Black vaults.

"Well, it's not exactly new...but it runs great. I kind of already bought it for you. As a homecoming gift." He peaks sideways at me with a hopeful expression.

I look at him, touched. It's not like he is rolling around in gold either.

"You didn't need to do that, Charlie. I was going to buy myself a car."

"I don't mind. I want you to be happy here." He is looking at the road as he says this. He knows how hard it was for me to be away from my family.

"Thank you." He gives me a sideways glance. We both knew that I didn't just mean about the truck.

"Well, now, you're welcome." He mumbles, embarrassed by my gratitude. He clears his throat as we near the: WELCOME TO FORKS! Sign.

"You've lost your accent." He comments smirking.

I laugh.

"Trust me, it's taken me quite a bit for me to learn how to talk without it." I say slipping into my British accent. He laughs. He always says that I sound like a posh British aristocrat when I talk with my accent. How right he is.

We made it to his small, but lovable, home. There, parked in the street in front of the house that never changed, was my new- well, new to me- truck. It is a faded red color, with big rounded fenders and a bulbous cab. To my intense surprise, I love it.

"Wow, Charlie. I love it! Thank you!"

"I'm glad you like it," Charlie says gruffly, embarrassed again. It takes as single trip to get all my belongings to my room. My room is the same as I left it, and I oddly missed it. It was miniature compared to my room at the manor, but it has its charm.

When I retire to bed, I get a feeling in the pit of my stomach I have had only twice before. The anticipation of my first day in a new place. The feeling I got on my way to Hogwarts when I was just eleven.

I whip around and come face to face with Charlie and his twin brothers. They are all looking from me to Oliver in confusion. The whispered word must not have reached his ears.

"Hey mates, how do you know Celestia?" Oliver asks. Oh no, they are going to tell him that I'm a Malfoy, and he's never going to talk to me again.

"We just met her a while an ago actually." Charlie says carefully not moving his gaze away from me. I look down. I knew that Oliver deserved to know who I am before we get to Hogwarts.

When Oliver doesn't respond to the news, I pull on Oliver's arm. Making him turn to Scorpious.

"Ollie this is my twin, Scorp. Scorp this is Oliver." I introduce them.

"Nice to meet you lad."

"You too. Lestia hasn't shut up about you over the past few days."

"What house do you think you'll be in?"

"Gryffindor-"

"-Of course." George's twin finishes. Turns out the twins are first years also. Charlie is a sixth year, and Bill a seventh year. I imagine he is with his friends or with his other brother.

"Slytherin." My twin says automatically. My eyes widen, as do the rest of the compartment's occupants.

"What! You cannot be serious? You can't really want to go where all dark wizards come from!" Oliver cries out. My lip trembles.

"He doesn't mean that sweetie." My twin turns to me, hugging me. Oliver looks at me in bemusement.

"You can't honestly be considering going into Slytherin as well Celestia?" I nod slowly. Everything is quiet for a while.

"Why?" I can barely hear, but I look up at him.

"Because, it is where my family has always been. And I show too many of the qualities to be sorted anywhere else."

"Your family? But- most Slytherin families were huge supporters of-" He must not know who the Malfoys are.

"Yes, my family was one as well. One of the biggest I must say." I say lifting my chin up. I am not ashamed of my parent's past actions. What matters are our future actions.

"Who?"

"My full name is Celestia Arabella Malfoy." He stares at me silently. My lip starts to tremble again. "We've always been considered part of the dark."

"Why are you crying?" He asks frantically. I bury my face in Scorp's chest once again.

"Because you hate me! And you'll never talk to me again!" I sniffle.

"Of course not!" Fred exclaims.

"You're our favorite twin!" His twin cries out dramatically, making me laugh. Charlie smiles at me softly, nudging Oliver harshly. Oliver huffs, but looks at me warily.

"I promise, that even if you do end up in Slytherin. We will still be friends alright lass?" He asks taking my hands in his. I nod.

"Just don't take it the wrong way-"

"If we're not friends in public?" He nods. "Wouldn't dream of it. Papa would kill me."

"I have a question." I look at Charlie expectantly.

"Do you and Scorp -" He pauses.

"Share the same views as my family?" They all nod at my twins' question. My brother was a legimnus for as long as he can remember. He can read everyone's mind, except mine that is. Daddy thinks I learned Occlumency around the same time to block my thoughts from him.

"No." We both answer at the same time. Their shoulders relax in relief. I'm startled when there is a knock on the door.

"Anything from the trolley dears?" I smile and get up, receiving the bag of gold Scorpious hands me. I stand in front of the others, blocking their path.

"Don't worry about it. It's on us." I take a couple of everything, making a huge pile of sweets in my arms when I come back. Fred and George both grin at each other.

"You know what Fred?"

"What George?"

"I always told you we should have befriended a rich Malfoy child." Making all of us laugh.
