It's been a really long time but I really want to give this story closure. I plan to wrap it up within the next few chapters.

When they got back from sectionals Santana broke up with Aiden. She really didn't really give any reason as to why. Brittany thought maybe it was the kiss that they shared but they still haven't talked about it so she can't just assume.

There is only about one week until Christmas break and the glee club is singing a few holiday songs for the school assembly, it was extremely short notice but they are doing great pulling a good show together.

"Rachel I swear to god if you don't-" Before Santana could finish Brittany stepped in "Rachel don't worry about Santana"

Rachel let out a big huff before turning around to go bother someone else.

"I really wish you'd stop letting her get under your skin." Brittany said looking at Santana.

"She isn't under my skin she's just annoying and I feel like someone should let her know" Santana said as she walked out of the glee club room.

"Oh so you are just doing it out of the kindness of your heart" Brittany said sarcastically as she followed Santana.

"Mhm." Santana said with a smirk.

As the girls were walking down the empty hallway they heard some commotion in one of the rooms, they looked at each other and they slowly opened the cracked door and popped their heads in.

"EW" they both said loudly and in unison.

They caught Lucas and Quinn making out.

"What would Jesus say?" Santana quipped.

Lucas and Quinn were quick to separate.

"Bitch you were suppose to get me water like 20 minutes ago" Santana said

both Quinn and Lucas were blushing hard, Quinn reached over to her bag and pulled out a water bottle "Technically I did get it."

Santana stepped into the room and grabbed the water while Brittany waited at the door.

As Santana was closing the door Brittany looked at her brother with a small smile and said "We will talked about this at home mister"

Santana and Brittany looked at each other and then the closed door and bursted out with laughter.

"Let's get out of here" Santana said through laughs as she grabbed Brittany's hand and led her down the hallway.

They decided to go to Brittany's house and do some homework.

Brittany and Santana were laying on the blondes bed doing their separate homework every once in a while Brittany would ask Santana for help with a math question and Santana would happily help Brittany. Brittany didn't know what it was but when Santana explained things she just got them right away.

"I think you'd be a great teacher" Brittany said softly.

"Why do you say that?" Santana said locking eyes with the blue eyes looking at her.

"There is just something about the way you explain things I get" Brittany said.

Santana smiled "It's because I know the way that big beautiful brain of yours works"

Brittany started blushing as she turned her head back to her books.

After about another 45 minutes of homework they closed their books, as they were cleaning up Brittany just paused and looked at Santana.

"Why did you break up with Aiden?" Brittany asked.

Santana seemed startled by the question, she looked at Brittany "It doesn't matter"

"It does to me" Brittany quickly replied

"Why?" Santana asked

"Because you won't talk about it and you guys were together for a awhile and I want to make sure you are okay" Brittany said seriously.

Santana paused and let out a deep breathe, she looked down at the ground. "Brittany.. I'm okay it was my decision and I appreciate you looking out for me... you're a great friend."

"Yeah that's me" Brittany said quietly.

Santana left about and hour ago. Currently Brittany was sitting down at the dinner table eating with her family, Lucas was sitting across from her, Liam was to her left and Holly was to her right.

"So Lucas.. how is Quinn?" Brittany said knowing he didn't want her to bring up him and Quinn making out in a class room.

Lucas coughed out "She's fine"

"Do you need some water?" Brittany asked with a devious smile.

Lucas nodded, so Brittany got up and got her brother a water from the fridge.

Brittany handed Lucas the water "Thank you" he mumbled

"Santana was super thirsty today" Brittany said "Quinn went to go get her some water but never came back"

Lucas gave Brittany the death stare.

"Well that was rude" Liam chimed in.

"It's okay Liam she was busy" Brittany said smiling at her little brother.

Lucas kicked Birttany under the table.. or at least he thought he did.

"OUCH" Holly shouted.

"oh my god I'm so sorry" Lucas said right away "I Thought that was Brittany's leg."

Brittany couldn't help but laugh.

"Keep your feet to yourself man" Holly said as she bent down to rub her shin.

"See Liam... now that was rude." Brittany said to her little brother.

Liam let a big belly laugh causing everyone else at the table to start cracking up.

After dinner, Lucas went to his room to do some home work. Brittany knocked on the door.

"Come in" he shouted

Brittany walked in, he was sitting up on his bed and she took a seat next to him.

"You know I have to give you a hard time" Brittany said.

"Yeah I know" Lucas said as he put his arm around his little sister.

Brittany laid her head down on his shoulder. They both let out a deep sigh.

"You better not hurt her." Brittany said seriously.

"Britt, that is the absolute last thing I want to do." Lucas said.

They sat in silence for a few minutes before Brittany started to get up and leave.

"Brittany" Lucas said as she was walking towards the door.

Brittany turned around "What?"

"Don't let yourself get hurt by her" Lucas said.

Brittany slowly nodded and left the room closing the door behind her. She stood their for a moment. She knew exactly what 'her' Lucas was talking about.

It's the last day before break, the assembly was yesterday, everything went great but Rachel still has critiques for everyone.

Quinn is having another bonfire at her house tonight to celebrate.

"Quinn you better have boozes there tonight" Santana said as the three walked into the Cheerios locker room after practice.

"Relax, Santana I know you are an alcoholic in progress and I wouldn't want to ruin that." Quinn joked.

"Thank you" Santana said smiling at Quinn.

"Lucas is coming right?" Quinn asked

"Yes Quinn he's coming" Brittany laughed.

"He was coming all the other times you asked too" Santana said.

"Shut up Santana" Quinn said as her face turned red "I just want to make sure"

"Well he is coming" Brittany said as she took her cheer shoes off and put them in her locker. "He's waiting for me so I gotta go"

Brittany rushed out without her shoes fully on and struggling with her stuff.

Santana adoringly looked on as the blonde left.

"Is that drool?" Quinn joked pointing to Santana's mouth.

It broke Santana out of her daze and she quickly checked her mouth for drool, she rolled her eyes at Quinn.

"Shut up." Santana said as she grabbed her stuff out of her locker and left.

As Lucas and Brittany walked into Quinn's house they were immediately greet by her.

Brittany found Santana who was in the kitchen with a beer in her hand, they locked eyes and smiled at each other.

"Want a beer?" Santana asked still smiling

Brittany nodded and Santana walked to the cooler on the floor to get her a beer.

"So was like Quinn just waiting for him by the door?" Brittany laughed.

"Yes from the second you texted her you were on your way" Santana said laughing handing Brittany a beer.

"You wanna go outside?" Brittany asked

Santana nodded "Let's grab a blanket though it's cold."

Brittany followed Santana out of the kitchen to the back door where there was already some blankets for people to use Santana grabbed one Brittany went to grab another one but was stopped when Santana said "I think one should be good."

"Okay" Brittany said softly with a small smile on her face.

Santana grabbed Brittany's hand a led her through the back door to a small spot near the fire. They sat down, Santana put down her beer and spread the blanket out and wrapped in around them. They sat there in silence for about ten minutes each of them stealing glances of each other when the other wasn't looking. Brittany so badly wanted to tell Santana how she felt. This felt like a perfect time. they were under the stars alone and Santana looked absolutely beautiful.

"Santana?" Brittany said in almost a whisper

"Yeah Britt?" Santana said in the same tone.

Before Brittany could say anymore, a bunch on the glee club kids came stomping into the back yard and interrupted.

About an hour later Santana and Brittany found themselves back in the kitchen.

"You want another beer?" Brittany asked

Santana shook her head 'no' "How about we get out of here? there is coffee shop not to far and it should still be open"

"I'd like that" Brittany smiled "Let me go tell Lucas, I'll meet you outside"

As she walked out of Santana's presence she immediately started to feel nervous. She found Lucas outside with his tongue down Quinn's throat.

"Lucas!" Brittany shouted hoping to not have to get to close to the sucking.

Lucas came up for air and looked at his sister.

"Santana and I are going for a walk" Brittany shouted

He gave his sister the thumbs up and looked back at Quinn and whispered so his sister couldn't hear "When are they just gonna get together?"

"I don't know" Quinn laughed.

Brittany opened the front door and saw Santana standing there looking up at the stars, she walked right up next to her.

"It's beautiful" Santana said

Brittany looked at Santana who was still looking up and said "Yes it is"

"We should get going" Santana said finally looking at Brittany and she couldn't help but smile.

"Are you doing anything for Christmas?" Brittany asked as she and Santana started walking.

"No, My parents actually won't be in town." Santana said bitterly.

"Where are they gonna be?" Brittany asks shocked

"Bora-Bora" Santana said

"Have they ever done this before?" Brittany asks in disbelief

"No this actually a first, they've never quite stooped this low before." Santana says.

"Come be with me for Christmas" Brittany blurted out.

Santana seems taken back by the gesture "B thats sweet but it's your family time"

"It's both of our first Christmas's without our parents, it only makes sense that we spend it together." Brittany says like its matter of fact.

"I'd really like that Brittany" Santana says as she grabs Brittany's hand giving it a little squeeze before letting it go.

Before they knew it they were at the coffee shop, they stepped inside order their drinks and Brittany offered to pay but Santana wouldn't let that happen.

There has been this voice in Brittany's head since she got to Quinn's house that just keeps saying 'why don't you kiss her? why don't you tell her? because she'll never know if you don't tell her'

They grab their coffee and head for the park and the voices in Brittany's head just keep getting louder and louder. They come across a gazebo in the park which has a little bench in it and they decided that would be a good place to sit for a little bit, they sit and make small talk for awhile drinking their coffee.

Then Brittany looks up and she see's it... mistletoe, Brittany must have been staring at for awhile because it caused Santana to look up.

"Mistletoe" Santana mumbled to herself as her heart skips a beat.

The voice in Brittany's head at this point was yelling to kiss her.

Brittany looked at Santana and Santana looked back at Brittany. Brittany couldn't ignore it anymore. She slowly started to lean in and she put her hand on Santana's cheek and slowly moved it to the back of her neck. Brittany's eyes were darting back and forth between Santana's lips and eyes looking for any indiction and she wanted it to stop. There wasn't any. Brittany was almost there when Santana's lips met her the rest of the way.

It started out gentle and then Santana brought her hand to back of Brittany's neck brought her in closer to deepen in the kiss. It felt as though in that moment the whole world had fell away.

They only pulled away only because they needed air. Santana rested her forehead on Brittany's their eyes closed, both of them out of breathe. Both of their hearts are beating loudly.

Santana pulled back from Brittany and for the first time since the kiss they make eye contact. It almost looks like Santana is about to cry. "We should head back" she says as she stands up.

Brittany just sits there. "Santana I-"

"Please don't" Santana says.

They walk back in silence Brittany a couple steps behind Santana. She reaches up and touches her lips where just minutes ago Santana's lips were she can still feel them as if they were still there.

Finally back at Quinn's house nearly everyone is gone, as soon as they walk up the drive way Lucas comes out.

"We gotta get back" He says

Santana and Brittany make eye contact briefly before Santana turns around and continues to walk towards the house.

Brittany just nodded her head at Lucas and walked with him to his truck.

"You okay?" He asks

Brittany can't seem to muster up words at the moment so she just nods her head.

Santana doesn't ever go back into Quinn's house she gets in her car as soon and she's alone she leans her head on the steering wheel and let's out a deep sigh as a single tear falls.

Later that night as Santana lays in bed she reaches up to feel her lips and she can still feel Brittany's warm lips on her's. She never had a kiss that felt so right but when she pulled away from Brittany and saw the world didn't actually fall away it felt as though her world was crashing down. She didn't know how to process all of these feelings but they were there and she couldn't ignore them anymore.
