Chapter 10: The aftermath

====Author's Note====

"I, Awesome Wolf Writer, am claiming that I OWN INUYASHA!" I shouted. Police cars immediately surrounded me, as well as a limo. A woman walked out of the limo, and realization hit me, she was Rumiko Takahashi! "Hello dear, I heard that someone owns MY characters." She said sweetly. "Your da*n right I said it!" I snorted. Her sweet look instantly dropped. "InuYasha, would you mind teaching this girl some manners?" She called. I froze as I saw InuYasha and the gang get out of the limo. The half demon pulled out Tessaiga, Kagome notched an arrow, Sango grabbed Hiraikotsu, Miroku grabbed his staff, Shippo made a cute kitsune growl, and Kirara sheathed her claws and bared her teeth. My eyes darted every which way, trying to make up a distraction. An Idea formed suddenly. "Look! It's Kikyo!" I pointed behind them. InuYasha looked back immediately, so did Kagome. Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo didn't budge. "Look, Miroku is womanizing again!" I shouted. As if it where instinct, Sango knocked out Miroku with her giant compaction of bones. Shippo was underneath Miroku when he fell, for he was on his shoulder, and Kirara let out an mrrow of laughter. I saw my chance to run, and run I did. I looked back to see Kagome chewing InuYasha out about the 'Kikyo' thing, while Sango was on the ground apologizing to her husband. Kirara was still laughing and Rumiko put her hand on her hand in an 'I'm-surrounded-by-idiots-look'. I ran until I couldn't run, and reflected on what just happened.

Moral of story: I DON'T OWN INUYASHA! I could have just said it, but I gave you a little story just to make you laugh. ;D

All of their bodies ran cold. Miroku walked over to Sango, no one could read his eyes. "What have you done…?" He mumbled. "Whatever do you mean hoshi-sama?" Hakudoshi chuckled. Miroku looked up, his indigo eyes now blazed with purple fury. "You know what I mean! What have you done to her?" his gaze swept across the unmoving bodies on the ground. "What have you done to all of them?!" Hakudoshi looked up at the grieving monk. "The demon slayer fought well, the neko fought even better. The half-breed fought exceptionally well, for his kind… But the miko…" He trailed off. Miroku looked at him. "The miko fought remarkably well for a weak little ningen." Miroku looked into the demon's eyes and realized there was a look of lust in them. He gritted his teeth, the thought made him sick. "We will kill you for touching our mothers!" Little Kagome shouted. Her brother looked at her and unsheathed his sword. "N…NO!" a voice called. Kagome was on the ground struggling to get up. "Kagome!" Miroku called. He walked over to her but a wave of spiritual energy told him to get back. She looked up at Miroku and he almost gasped at the sight of her. One of her eyes was closed and blood trickled out of the corner of her mouth while dust and bruises took over the rest of her body. "I've already lost one child... And I'm not about to lose more!" Kagome yelled. Hakudoshi laughed, "See!? Isn't the miko simply adorable!?" Kagome gritted her teeth as Miroku flinched at her response. "MY NAME IS KAGOME! KA TO THE DAMN G-O-M-E ( I recently watched Medea) AND YOU BETTER GET IT RIGHT OR SO HELP ME BY THE END OF THIS BATTLE YOU AND THAT LITTLE SHELL OF YOURS WILL BE BINDED TOGETHER FOR LIFE!" Both of Kagome's children's mouths hung wide open, who knew their mother could curse? They all knew InuYasha could curse, but their mother? Hell must have frozen over. The siblings thought. Hakudoshi laughed harder, "Ah Kagome, you sure are interesting for a miko." A dangerous wave of spiritual energy flowed from Kagome. Hakudoshi looked at Entei and Moryomaru. "Well, it's been fun… bye for now small miko, we may meet again…better yet, we will meet again." Kagome flinched at the lust on the word 'will'. Hakudoshi climbed on Entei and vanished. After they were gone, Kagome collapsed onto the ground. "Mom!" her children yelled. "It's okay…" She managed to breathe out. "Must save...The...Others…" The miko dragged herself over to Sango. Miroku offered to help her walk but she refused. Laying a hand on the worst of the wounds, she healed her with a pink glow. Kagome, her daughter, walked over to her mother, "What can I do to help?" She asked, secretly admiring her mother. She looked up at her daughter with a hesitant expression. "Just lend me some of your energy." She rasped. With a pang of sorrow, she immediately put her hand on her mother's. Feeling her energy getting sapped away, she fought back the urge to scream out in agony.

Kagome looked at her daughter and realized she was in pain, she quickly let go. "I'm sorry…" She started. "I was tapping into your life force." Little Kagome only nodded to accept her apology. With the little energy she gained, she limped over to Kirara, who was barely breathing. "You fought well…" She whispered in her ear. With another pink glow, she healed the most of the wounds. She then dragged herself to her mate, InuYasha. Tears flowed down her cheeks like a never ending river. She couldn't look at her mate…Not while he was like this. "Would you get with the healing…?" a hoarse voice breathed out. Kagome looked down to see InuYasha with one eye open. "Of course…." She paused. "InuYasha I love you." He looked at her and gave her the best smile he could manage, and gave his award winning 'feh'. After healing everyone, they waited for them to wake including Kagome who was knocked out right after healing InuYasha. When everyone was awake, not including Kagome, they got on both Kirara and Ah-Un and rode home.

"Hakudoshi, your back." Naraku said. "I am." He simply replied. "How did it go?" He asked. "Well… They have all grown weak, well, all except the little amusing miko." Hakudoshi smiled. "I see." Naraku retaliated. "When they recover, attack them once again, but bring this with you." Naraku said holding an out a small orb. Hakudoshi nodded and grabbed the object before running off. Naraku sighed, "Oh I know what I will do!" He said. He put a hand on his heart and whispered a few words, and bright light came and a wind sorceress appeared. "Kagura…" He cooed. "Naraku." She spat, putting malice in the five letter name.

InuYasha sighed, his wife had not woken up and it had been two says since the fight. The fight… InuYasha repeated in his head. Something hit him, why was Hakudoshi back in the first place? And why would he attack us now? His thoughts scattered when he heard his name being called from outside. He got up, kissed Kagome on her forehead, and walked outside. Miroku was outside with Kirara on his lap, and Sango had both of her children in her arms. "We've been thinking…" Miroku started. "And we've concluded that we should go after Hakudoshi without Kagome." InuYasha looked at the monk as if him where merry with wine (Drunk). "There is now way in the seven levels of He-." He was cut off by Sango's glare, telling him not to curse around her children. "We fear Hakudoshi is getting too familiar with her." He said. This got to InuYasha; he never really realized how Miroku was right. "Your right, but Kagome is not going to agree with this…" He said feeling guilty. "That's why we leave tonight." He said.

Miroku and Sango rode on Kirara, while InuYasha ran. Kirara suddenly started to growl. "Yeah…I smell it too." I said. Miroku and Sango exchanged confused glances, but said nothing. InuYasha skidded to a stop. "Why hello InuYasha." Hakudoshi said mockingly. Hakudoshi held out a small orb. InuYasha's eyes widened. "That looks like….It can't be!" He shouted, just as Miroku and Sango came up. InuYasha stared to grow into his demon form. "InuYasha!" Sango called. But InuYasha's thoughts where somewhere else, saying Kill, Blood, Mate!

"Hit me again!" Sesshomaru shouted. The poor little girl's demon body was worn out, but she refused to rest. With her demon speed, she tried to catch Sesshomaru off guard, and attack. But her plan back fired, she caught him off guard, but was sent flying. She whimpered. Sesshomaru bent down. "Akane, at this rate you will match the strength of your Hanyo father!" He half whispered half yelled. Little Akane hadn't heard much of her father nor mother, but she did know that he was a half demon. But how strong was he? She always wanted to know she could at least compare herself. She hadn't seen many hanyo's in her lifetime, but when she did come across one, Sesshomaru killed it quickly. Akane didn't remember much about her past life, but there was one memory that kept coming back. It was the day her parents gave her up. She knew she felt warm and loved in her mother's grasp, but then again she felt something else too, it felt like…Fear. Fear that I would one day kill her, fear that I would be cold and heartless, fear that something would happen, fear that she would never see me again. Anger fueled her body. Why? Why!? Why did she fear me!? Why did she give me up! Why! Did she not want me!? Everything around her seemed to stop. She…She didn't want me…. She started to laugh, this got Sesshomaru's attention. She didn't want me! This solves everything! She laughed harder. All of those times I thought they would come back for me! The hope I had! A strong dark pulse emitted from her, it was so intense that even Sesshomaru had to get back. Slowly she was turning into a giant dog. Sesshomaru's eyes went wide, he knew she was strong, but this strong?! She probably didn't even shed a tear when I left! When she was done transforming, she was almost as tall as Sesshomaru's transformation! How tall will she get when she is older! For the first time, Sesshomaru felt fear, but he didn't know what the feeling was at first because he never experienced it before. Akane looked at Sesshomaru, and with her giant paw, she hit him and hit sent him flying over the castle walls and into twelve trees. He looked up to see Akane running towards him, making a boom sound with every step, and finally she leaped into the air and crushed him with her paw. She howled at the satisfaction that her mentor might me dead, but stopped when she felt her paw tingling. She screamed in pain to feel her arm getting electrocuted. She jumped up, but it was still getting electrocuted. She narrowed her eyes, his infamous Bakusaiga saved him. She thought. Sesshomaru sighed in relief, just when her paw came down; he unsheathed his sword and sliced her paw. He got an idea and started to change into his dog form. When Akane saw that his form was taller than his she felt afraid. He growled, telling her to submit. She barked in defiance, so he bared his teeth at her, and with that, she sat down with her tale between her legs and her muzzle to the ground in the dirt in complete submission. He then told her to go back into her original form. She shrank until she became a little demon girl again. He shrank as well. He looked at her to see she was passed out with no clothes on, good thing I took mine off before I changed. He thought, he quickly put on his clothes and draped Kimono on her. When he awoke, he bombarded her with questions. "Akane, why where you angry?" He asked. "My parents, they gave me up, didn't they?" It sounded like she was unsure. None the less, he could not reveal her parents yet. "I cannot answer that question, but I will tell you when you are older." She analyzed the answer to her question. If it has to wait until she is older, then it is not good news. She gritted her teeth, so, they really didn't want me… she thought. He thoughts where short lived when the saw someone hovering above. "Sesshomaru, look." She said. Sesshomaru looked up, but how could it be? The person landed in front of him "Kagura." He simply said.

Hey guys! It's my tenth chapter YAAAAAYYY! –Ahem- for that special purpose, I made the story in the beginning. I hope you like it! Keep in mind that Akane is NOT crazy! She is just hurting; mean o' Sesshy didn't exactly tell her about her parents, so her curiosity got the best of her. Sorry to tell you this but I AM NOT ADDING THE TRAINING WITH SESSHY AND AKANE IN ANYMORE CHAPTERS EXCEPT THE NEXT AND POSSIBLY THE ONE AFTER THE NEXT! The training will have its own fanfic (HINT-HINT) Oh sorry about the cussing, but I thought it would add more…err…oomph! In the story, so criticize me if you want. Bye!
