Pierced by Destiny's Arrow

Chapter 9: Confusion meets Lust

Neither vampire noticed nor cared about how much time had passed, Alucard stood silently with one arm wrapped around Seras while his other hand stroked her hair in order to sooth her, he didn't dare say a word, he just patiently waited for her tears to stop and for her emotions to calm down.

Seras was slowly calming down, her tears were subsiding and her sobs had turned to hiccups. She couldn't help but feel safe and relaxed in Alucard's arms despite the fact that she barely knew him even though she had dreamed of him often enough throughout the years. She moved her hand to wipe away her tears and afterwards she was reminded that she now cried bloody tears instead of the normal watery tears, after this realisation struck her she focused her gaze on Alucard's white shirt and saw that it was horribly soaked and stained with blood. She immediately felt embarrassed and sheepishly looked up at Alucard only to see that he was staring down at her with a small smile on his lips and something akin to adoration in his eyes.

The two just stared at each other, Seras was a bit nervous to speak but Alucard was just enjoying the feeling of her in his arms...but like all things silence doesn't last forever...

"Why….?", one word to a the dozens of questions that were echoing in her mind since she stepped foot into the garden…Why did he do this for her? Why did it make her happy that he made the effort? Why did all of this have to happen? Why did he choose her?

Alucard knew what she meant when she said that one little word but instead of answering he just looked at her lovingly and placed a soft kiss on the top of her head. It'll take time but she'll come to understand everything and then she'll have the answer to all her questions. Seras looked up at him with slightly swollen eyes from all the crying and she sniffled a bit still trying to calm down from her emotional breakdown, her mind was a mess of questions and confusion but she decided now wasn't the time for them.

Slowly she turned her head back to look at the grave stone he had created in memory of her parents and all she felt at that moment was a glimmer of peace…"Thank you", those were the only words she could say even though there were a million other on the tip of her tongue. Alucard didn't say a word but instead just nodded his head with a soft smile on his face…he then slowly released her from his embrace and took a few steps back, "I will leave you to your thoughts Little One, spend as much time as you want out here, this place is your sanctuary but be sure to be back inside the castle before the sun rises…", and with that he turned away and faded into the darkness.

Seras just stood there for a few seconds before looking all around her wondering if he had really left her here by herself…"Now how the bloody hell am I supposed to know how to get back inside…". She merely sighed to herself and went to go sit by her parent's tombstone, "Tată…Mama….I miss you both so much…everything is just so confusing and messed up now…" Just thinking about her family, remembering how her parents died and what the villagers had done…Seras' emotions turned from sad and confused to full blown anger and hatred.

"I'll kill them! I'll kill every last one of them for this!", her mind was blind with rage so much so that she hadn't noticed the shadows coming from her own body, he eyes show a bright scarlet red and her fangs were bare…so consumed by her emotions she didn't hear the other creature approaching her from behind until he was but a few feet away from her. When she sensed the presence behind her she spun around and growled at the intruder until she realised it was the demon hound that served as Alucard's familiar and companion.

"Sorry…guess I got carried away." Seras immediately calmed down and soften her expression once she saw it was the Hellhound…she felt a connection to it almost like the connection she felt to Alucard. "Did he send you to keep an eye on me?" she said this as she walked up to the massive beast and gently placed her hand on its head. "I'm ok now…at least I think so…" Seras started petting hound who just cocked its head slightly to the side while looking at her. "Guess I'll have to give you a new name huh…since HE decided to take the name 'Alucard' I gave you all those years ago". Seras decided to turn around and sat down on the ground by the grave, the hellhound followed suit and sat directly behind her acting as a backrest while its head lay on the ground next to her thigh.

Feeling the warm fur at her back and calming down from her torrent of emotions, Seras gave in and started to turn her thoughts to a certain Vampire King…she didn't didn't understand him and also didn't really know him but at the same time she felt that she could trust him…despite everything she didn't hate him she knew that much at least…"maybe I should give him a chance…maybe.." and with that thought in mind she started to doze off while nestled against the warm fur of her demonic guardian.

It was only when she was in a deep sleep that another presence decided to make itself known in the little garden. Alucard had spent his time watching over Seras, listening in to her thoughts, feeling her emotions and trying to keep her from noticing his presence. As he walked over to her and his loyal familiar he couldn't help but chuckle slightly at the sight before him. "You know if this keeps up I might just get jealous…" he said while looking down at the pair on the ground, the hellhound just gave a snort and stayed in its position by Seras.

Alucard reached down and gently lifted Seras into his arms making sure not to wake her, the Hellhound lifted its giant head up to look at them while whining softly, "I wish to spend time with her now…go chase a rabbit or something" Alucard didn't mean to sound so irritated but he wasn't about to argue with his own familiar for the attentions of his Mate. The hound gave a loud huff before standing up and disappearing into the shadows.

Alucard once again looked down at his Mate only to realise that she had woken up and was staring up at him while he could only stare back in surprise. Neither of said anything for a while until Seras plucked up the courage to make the first move "Is it time to come inside?" "Yes" he answered quickly still surprised that he hadn't sensed when she had woken up. "Ok" that's all she said before looking away with a slight blush on her cheeks. Alucard then regained his composure before opening his dark portal and stepping through it.

The two of them appeared in her room and he laid her down on her bed. "Thank you…" "You're welcome" both vampires spoke without making any real eye contact, obviously not sure how to really converse with each other. Both were surrounded by an awkward silence until Alucard cleared his throat to speak "It'll be dawn soon, I will leave you to rest" and then he turned to leave…"Wait!" Seras quickly called out and reached for his hand slightly pulling him back to her.

Alucard immediately turned back to look at her with surprised eyes while Seras looked down blushing as she tried to stop from stuttering as she spoke "Please stay with me…at least until I fall asleep…" she spoke softly but he heard her clearly and once the words had settle on his ears he had use all his strength and willpower to stop his mind from wondering to all the possibilities that would available to him if he did indeed stay…in the end he shut his eyes and grounded out hoarsely "I can't…"

Seras immediately looked up at him with sad eyes when she heard him speak and it almost destroyed his resolve…but he swore that he would keep his distance and let her come to him when he was ready "ok…I understand" she spoke in such a meek little voice that he wanted to grab her and never let her go…his desire was calling out from within him to take her and replace that sad expression with one of pleasure and desire…but no he must resist…"I must resist…I must be patient" these words were his mantra, the only thing that was keeping him from getting carried away….

"I must resist…I must be patient…I can't stay…I can't…" those words almost flew out of his mind when he saw Seras pout slightly and her sad looking eye looking up at him pleadingly "oh to hell with this" Alucard's iron will began to crack and the next thing he knew he had pulled Seras into his arms, she squeaked in surprise and before she could protest Alucard had brought one of his hands to her face and turned her head so that their lips could meet in a soul searing kiss…Seras was wide eyed and in shock when she felt his lips on hers but what surprised her the most was the fact that she wasn't resisting in fact she could feel herself giving in to the kiss…slowly being consumed by the passion she could feel from him. Just as she was about to give in though he pulled away, both were breathless and their eyes were burning red hot lust for each other…

"No you don't understand Little One" he spoke in a hoarse voice as he rested his forehead again hers "If I stay I won't be able to control myself…I won't force myself on you again…never again" and with that he quickly pulled away and faded into the shadows, leaving Seras standing next to the bed feeling flushed and breathless. She turned around in a daze and climbed into bed…"What have I gotten myself into?" she lay in bed, her mind blank and her body remembering every touch and sensation she had just experienced, the whole scene replayed again and again in her mind…all of that followed her into sleep and into her dreams as she mind was filled with just one thing…one person…"Alucard".

Yes finally got a chapter done, almost lost all hope in this story. Hope you guys like it
