Last Time on Dragonfire:

"Dragonfire…Alice's school was invaded, and every kid was kidnapped including her." said Blackfire before an insane pressure weigh them down. They looked towards Dragonfire and say that he was covered in white fire with a few flickers of black as it broke through the tower and into the sky as he screamed in rage.

-Unknown Location-

"What was that?" said a man as he looked to the screens holding the young mutants.

"Sir, scanners pick up a huge power source in Jump City." said a women in a military uniform.

"Can you pinpoint its location, Cadet." Said the man.

"Negative sir, the power covered the entire city and it just disappeared so finding it would be near impossible to track." Said the Cadet.

"Keep an eye on the scanners, and tell me if the power comes up again."

"Yes Sir Striker, Sir." Saluted the Cadet before going back to her job.

'Interesting power to even feel that from here. I must find it and harness it for Project Omega.' thought the now known Striker, as he turned his attention back to the kids he noticed a green skinned girl perk up from her cell before laying back down. "Hmm interesting." Said Striker.

-In the Cells Below-

"Ryu?" said Alice as she perked up from her cell feeling his power, though she couldn't understand why, maybe she just misses him. 'Yeah that's probably it.' though Alice before she laid back down crying herself to sleep.

-Story Start-

-Back at Titans Tower-

Dragonfire soon calmed down enough before looking at everyone.

"Do you guys know where she's at!?" he said quickly wanting to find her.

"No we don't, but we can't do anything stupid until we know for sure." said Robin, before Dragonfire grabbed his suit and lifted him up.

"I'm not gonna wait while someone does what they want to her. I'm gonna find her with or without your help. What about you Beastboy aren't you worried for her!" said Dragonfire as he looked towards the green changeling.

"Yes I am, but Robin's right first we gotta find her first and then make those people pay." said Beastboy as Dragonfire nodded a bit before making his way to the window.

"Dragonfire what about your new friends?" she asks pointing to Rainbow and Fluttershy.

But before Dragonfire could answer her, Rainbow beat him to it, "We are coming too Ryu."

"Rainbow, I know you want to help, but I can't let you or Fluttershy come. Just stay in the Tower until I get back." said Dragonfire but Rainbow shooked her head.

"So I stay in the sidelines and wait for you while you get hurt? Nuh huh, I'm coming with you." she said stubbornly.

"Rainbow how can you defend yourself, the only thing you have is the Element of Loyalty but even then it needs the others to be used." He said not wanting her to get hurt or worse.

"So what, I won't stay behind knowing I can help you in anyway." She said crossing her arms.

Dragonfire gave a small smile seeing how in touch she was with her Element. He then surprised her by hugging her, and she slowly returned it.

"I'm sorry Dash." He said as he pinched her nerve on her shoulder.

"Ryu don't-!" Rainbow tried to yell, but was losing consciousness and fell to sleep, as he laid her gently on the couch.

"Brother why did you do that!" yelled Starfire shocked at what he did.

"I had to Star, if she came with me she would have gotten hurt or killed, something I don't want to happen." He said as she nodded.

"Either way we are coming with you." said Cyborg as everyone nodded.

"Very well." said Dragonfire as he looks towards Fluttershy, "Fluttershy will you look after Rainbow until we get back please."

"Y-yes," said Fluttershy before walking towards Dragonfire and hugged him, "P-please be safe."

"I will, now let's—" was all Dragonfire said before he looked up towards the roof hearing a noise, "What is that?"

Cyborg checked the scanners on the computer, "It seems the X-men are here."

They all soon left to the roof and saw a futuristic jet which made Cyborg almost squeal.

"That's an SR-71 Blackbird! They don't make these baby's cheap." whistled Cyborg in fascination before the hangar opened to reveal two people walking out.

The first was a dark-skinned woman with white hair and dark eyes. She was wearing a black bodysuit with the sleeves stopping just under her elbow with white on the edges, and a black belt with a cape that's white underneath with an 'X' buckle holding it on, black gloves, and boots.

The next was a fair-skin man with black hair, brown eyes wearing a black bodysuit, knee-high boots with kneepads, gloves, and a black belt with an 'X' buckle.

"These are the Titans, they're just a bunch of kids. Why did we come here Storm, I'm not here to babysit a bunch of babies." said the man towards the woman who sighed.

"Don't start Logan we need help and the Professor said they are formidable, besides one of them here is Alice's older brother while the other sees her as a sister." said the woman known as Storm before she walked up to the Titans, "Sorry about that but he gets annoyed mostly all the time."

"It's alright my name is Robin and these are the rest of the Titans; Cyborg, BeastBoy, Starfire, Raven, and Dragonfire." said Robin as everyone gave a wave and a small hello back.

"Nice to meet you all, now everyone get on board so that we can go look for the rest of the students, Professor Xavier and Cyclops." said Storm as everyone nodded before got inside the Blackbird.

They saw four more teens on the seats, three boys and a girl, and they introduced themselves as Pryo, Iceman, Rouge, and Nightcrawler. There was another woman piloting the ship who introduced herself as Jean Grey.

"Brother you should rest for a bit, Lady-Storm said that it'll take a few hours before we arrive to the mansion." said Starfire as she saw Dragonfire just pacing around the jet ever since it took off and hasn't stopped.

"I guess a little rest won't hurt." said Dragonfire sighing as he sat in between Starfire and Raven.

"Don't worry, we'll wake you up when we get there." said Raven as Dragonfire nodded and closed his eyes.

-Later-

A loud explosion woke Dragonfire as he opened his eyes and saw that there was a hole in the jet and that they were losing control. He turned to the rest of the Titans and saw that everyone was unconscious from the force of the blast. Dragonfire heard the screams of Rouge as she went through the hole, not wasting anytime Dragonfire flew out of the jet and towards Rouge.

Rouge was falling faster and faster to the ground until she felt a pair of arms catch her and saw Dragonfire had caught her.

"You alright?" asked Dragonfire as Rouge just nodded still afraid of falling many thousand feet in the sky.

After making sure Rouge held on tight on his chest, Dragonfire sped towards the jet as it was falling towards the ground before he was under the jet.

"W-what are you doing?!" yelled Rouge as Dragonfire placed one hand on the jet.

"What do you think I'm doing, I'm stopping the jet from crashing." was all Dragonfire replied a bit weakly, feeling that he was getting tired suddenly.

Dragonfire was about to lift the jet, when it suddenly stopped which made him still sped towards the ground at fast speeds. He didn't have any time and just turned his back towards the ground making sure that Rouge wouldn't get hurt. He impacted the ground, skidded for a few feet before crashing into a tree and was losing consciousness, the last he saw was an old man and blue-skinned woman.

-An Hour Later-

Dragonfire opened his eyes groaning as he rubbed his head and noticed that he was inside a tent. Stretching a bit getting the kinks out of his body he crawled out of the tent to see that it was almost dusk. He saw everyone including the old man and blue-skinned woman gathered around the campfire.

"Brother you're okay!" yelled Starfire interrupting everyone from their talk as they look up to see him stretching.

"Yeah I am Star." Dragonfire smiled a bit as Starfire hugged him.

"Dude why were you unconscious, I mean you've taken harder hits and still get up like nothing." said Beastboy as the rest of the Teen Titans nodded.

"I don't know in between saving Rouge and trying to stop the jet I felt getting weaker and weaker." replied Dragonfire making everyone turn to Rouge who looked down in sadness. Dragonfire saw this and was confused buy this. "Okay why is everyone looking at her like that?"

"Rouge here can take the power, memories and life force of another person for as long as she has physical contact with them." said Storm as Dragonfire nodded.

"And by taking their power the person being held becomes weaker and weaker." said Dragonfire deducted as Storm nodded.

"But it also kills them if Rouge holds onto them for long." she said which made the rest of the Titans flinch a bit as Dragonfire nodded.

"So can she fly now? She did take my powers." asked Dragonfire as Storm gave a thoughtful expression.

"I'm not sure she did touch you for like a few minutes," replied Storm as she looked at Rouge, "Do you wanna try?" she asked Rouge who was still feeling down about almost killing Dragonfire.

"I…I don't know." Muttered Rouge.

"Hey it's gonna be okay, I'm still here, so no need to be worried alright." Dragonfire smiled at Rogue who nodded back as they went a few feet away to practice.

"Alright unlike most superheroes, we Tamaranians use emotion when using our power as you can see from my memories," said Dragonfire going all teacher mode as Rogue listened on. "For flight you must feel the unbridled Joy of flight or any happy memory will do." He said as he began to float above her.

"For the starbolts one must feel fury or anger to manifest one." He brought his hand out as he made a starbolt as he floated back down.

-With the others-

"Is it just me or is Dragonfire's starbolt flickering to black?" asked Beastboy as Starfire looked worried.

"Yeah, just like when he heard of Alice being kidnapped." Commented Robin.

"That was because he was furious." said Raven off the side.

"Hey Star, has this happened before with your brother?" asked Cyborg as Starfire shook her head.

"No Friend Cyborg this is a first, me and Blackfire think it may have to do with the Black Curse he absorbed from Blackfire when he was little."

"The what?" asked Beastboy as everyone turned to her.

"It was something that happened to my Older Sister, on the day of her birth, the Citadel attacked our home planet of Tamaran and the proclaimed to have 'dedicated' the killing of over three thousand Tamarans to her birth. This caused nearly all of our people to unknowingly blame her for the attack." Starfire said as the others listened attentively.

"However that was the first part of the curse as the second one was due to her not being able to fly, you see Tamaranians are able to fly naturally as walking, because of that along with the attack on her birth made others hold hatred to my sister." She began to shed tears softly. "Due to this my sister's fire turned a blackish purple as she also began to hate them back. The Elders called this the Black Curse, a Tamaranian who only lives through a burning hatred and rage."

"But she isn't like that?" asked Cyborg as the time they spent around her she was fun and cool.

"You can thank Dragonfire for that." Smiled Starfire softly. "Ever since he was born, our parents said that he and Blackfire had a bond that they never saw. He would always cry when she wasn't around and would only let Blackfire carry him aside from our parents."

"Seems like Rogue is getting the hang of it." Commented Storm as everyone turned back to see Rogue floating in the air as she twirled in the air with a happy expression on her face.

-With Stryker-

"Project Omega is working smoothly and the machine has been completed to all specifications and will be operational by tomorrow, but sir if I can ask a question, why are we keeping the children?" asked a soldier as they saw a few kids trying to get out but it proved futile.

"I'm a scientist, Sergeant Lyman. When I build a machine, I have to see if my creation is working." Stryker simply replied as he saw two screens one of the kids and another of a figure in the middle of a white room.

-With the X-men and Titans-Next Day-

"So how will be get in?" asked Beastboy as they learned from Nightcrawler after Jean searched his mind to find out that the kids and the professor were taken to Alkahli Lake.

Logan said that he was already there and found nothing but Jean pointed out of that the facility was underground.

"We will separate into teams," started Storm as the holographic map of the dam appeared in front of them. "This is the spillway. See these density changes in the terrain? They are tire tracks. That's the entrance. This shows the ice covering the ground." Storm continued as an image of the spillway appeared along with tire tracks in it along with a large door in the end.

"But look at this, it seems that there has been water activity recently, so if we go in they can flood the spillway along with us." pointed out Robin as Storm nodded.

"Can you teleport inside?" Storm asked Nightcrawler.

"I have to be able to see where I'm going, otherwise I could wind up inside a wall." he replied.

"I have a plan." said Wolverine as they all turn to him looking at Mystique.

-In the Spillway-

"Stryker!" yelled Logan as he walked into the spillway alone making it echo in the tunnel. He walked further into the tunnel when there wasn't any water before yelling for Stryker once more.

-Inside-

A lone guard was watching the video feeds before noticing Logan walking in the spillway.

"Sergeant," called the soldier as Lyman walked before him to see what he wanted. "We got someone in the spillway. What do you want me to do?"

"Flood it." replied Lyman but before the soldier could press the button Stryker appeared in the room.

"Wait." he said as he looked over the guard's soldier and saw the video feed, "Look who's come home." Stryker muttered smiling.

-Back outside in the Spillway-

Logan looked around the door before the walls behind him open up to reveal six soldiers with rifles up while one had shackles.

"Don't move! Hands in the air!" one of the soldiers yelled as Logan oddly obeyed as they shackled his arms before the door infront of him opens and they move inside.

Stryker came into the main corridor with a cocky grin, but it fades as he looks closely at Logan.

"The one thing I know better than anyone," said Stryker as everyone looked at him confused. "Is my own work. Seal the room and shoot it."

As one of the soldiers lifts the gun to his head, Logan transforms into Mystique. Her arms now thinner slips through the shackles with ease, as she wraps the shackles around the soldiers' gun and rips it away and knocks him to the wall.

Instantly two guards fire as she ducks and handsprings forward to another guard who had his gun out but Mystique hits his arm just as he fires. The bullet flying into a nearby pipe causing steam to shoot out on nearby guard blinding him.

Mystique uses him as a springboard as she slides under a closing door but not before giving Stryker the bird.

-Control Room-

The only guard in the control room leaps from his chair when he heard the alarms and quickly looks into the monitors to see Stryker coming down the hallway. The door opens as Stryker enters and the guard stands up to look at him.

"What's happening?" he asked him.

"We have a metamorph on the loose. She could be anybody."

"Anybody?" said the guard confused before Stryker hits the guard on the head knocking him out.

Stryker then changes into Mystique as she sits on the chair and fastens a headset in her ear before pressing a few keys and pulls a map of the base.

-In the Blackbird-

"I'm in." said Mystique through the radio.

"She's good." commented Wolverine.

"You have no idea." said Magneto to him, smiling proudly.

-Later-

"Can you shut if off from here?" asked Storm as everyone except the Titans were in the control room. They found out that a large part of energy in the base was going into one room, which they saw was Cerebro.

"No." said Mystic dully as she rolled her eyes, not that Storm could see her.

"There they are." said Storm as she saw a screen with the children on there, before reaching to her earpiece. "Titans we found the children they are in sector 6 in the prison chambers."

-Titans-

"Roger that Storm, we are in sector 4, we will head there soon, over and out." said Robin as he sent shurikens to the soldiers hands causing them to drop their guns giving Dragonfire and Starfire time to blow them away.

"So sector 6 huh, alright lets deal with these guys and go find the kids quickly." said Cyborg as he blasted another soldier away.

After a while battling soldiers they made it to sector 5, but stop as Raven was feeling uncomfortable.

"What's wrong Raven?" asked Dragonfire placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I can sense someone in there, but I can't get a read of their minds. But it's not what bothers me." she muttered as she looked at him.

"What is it?"

"My Emotions are all telling me to run away, even Rage." she said.

"Guys we need to proceed into the room with caution, Raven is getting a bad feeling about this." said Dragonfire as they all nodded.

The team slowly reached a spacious round room, everything here was disturbingly white, from chairs to the TV, and to the walls.

Right in front of their eyes in the center of the room, was a man in a polite smile on a horribly marred face was any indication.

He was bald as a knee with multiple operation scars on his face. His eyes changed into many colors with no irises or sclera. He was bare foot dressed in loose grey pants and white shirt revealing his scared arms… that were mismatched with one looking disturbingly feminine.

It was almost as he was made of multiple people.

"I see you are quite disturbed by my OUR appearance." He chuckled, completely missing his outburst. "You see, I've been here for quite a while, you can say that I'm one of the first inmates here." He tilted his head to the side. "SO long, SO long, year after year…"

"This dude is insane," muttered Beast Boy as the others nodded.

"My gif... CURSE... is that I hold the power of regeneration. I can take a lot," he grinned, showing his fanged teeth. "Attach an arm to me, it lives… cut out an organ out, it grows back. Cut off my head… and I DIE! HAHAHAHA!" He burst into a fit of maniacal laugher, "Will you kill us?" he asked with an almost pleading voice. "Or will you die by our–MY hands?" he said this time with an insane grin.

"Let's find out, eh?" Dragonfire said as he lit his fists.

"Splendid!" he chipped.

"I go high you go low?" Robin asked taking his stance.

"You got it." Dragonfire nodded.

The two lunged at the man who welcomed their attack with open arms… literally. Confused but undeterred they were almost in hitting range when he moved at impossible speeds, passing through them in a blur and delivering vicious hooks to their jaws.

"Wally West, age 16, a speedster." Their Host said with melancholy while Robin gasped, "Like moving fast…" He patted his legs. "Used for parts in first six months after the Project Omega was established."

"You…" whispered Robin as he began to tremble slightly. "BASTARD!" he yelled as he ran towards the scarred man ignoring the calls of his team.

The man dashed forward with super speed, with one arm up to his elbow turning into ice while the other lit on fire.

Cyborg used his arm cannon to nullify the fire blast while Dragonfire melted the ice javelin that was thrown at Robin.

"Beatriz da Costa aka Fire, age 25, Brazilian hero, her dream was to make her home a safer place," he looked at his flaming hand. "Brek Bannin, aka Polar Boy, age 16, victim of his powers." This time it was the ice one.

"HIAAAA!" Starfire lunged forward, punching the man with a strong punch that did absolutely nothing except for burning off his shirt revealing a darker skin tone.

"Luke Cage, aka Power-man, age 32, indestructible body, father of one child." The host's eyes lit with a colorful glow, and in a second, a ray of rainbow energy shoot out of them, blasting Starfire away. "Alison Blaire, aka Dazzler, age 23, able to make sound vibrations in light and energy beams, enjoys music and acting."

"Are you alright?" Beast Boy asked, helping Starfire to her feet.

"Yes I am the fine," she replied.

"Robin you need to calm yourself, attacking that man will only get you killed." said Dragonfire as Robin was still shaking but he managed to calm himself down.

"Sorry, when he said Wally's name I lost it, he was a good friend that went missing on us but I can see what happened." growled Robin. "What is your name?"

"My name is Legion," the man stated gravely, "For we are many."

"He probably meant your true name." Raven spoke while eyeing him warily.

"That man has no name, it was taken from him. Now we are Legion," he said, creating an ice sword. "Will you join us?"

As soon as those words left his mouth, he jumped forward, attempting to behead both Robin and Beast Boy. But Robin stepped forward, pulling out his bostaff and clashed with Legion. The ice sword was no match for the metal pole and broke into million pieces, but the man was far from defeated. Making his hand turn to ice, he punched Robin sending him flying, before sending a fireball at the rest of the Titans distracting them.

Using his super-fast legs, he appeared by Robin and started to deliver a series of kicks that looked almost like a blur.

If not for Dragonfire's timely starbolt, the teen would've probably been knocked out. With a battle cry, Dragonfire continued his furious assault, forcing Legion on the defensive. The man was fast as hell, but the waves of starbolts kept him at bay, not to mention he could overpower his flames and melt his ice so the only problem was his ray vision.

"BB, I need some help here!" Dragonfire urged the changeling.

"On it!" he jumped in front of him, changing into a Rhino and charging at Legion. That gave Dragonfire the opportunity to flank Legion and deliver a nasty powered hook to his face. The hit sent him flying into the nearest wall, creating a mini explosion of dust.

They wasted no time and pressed on jumping at the fallen man, only to crash into a wall of ice he created.

An instant later, Legion broke through the wall and elbowed Dragonfire straight in his face, while at the same time blasting Beast Boy with a fire ball. He then grabbed Dragonfire's face and threw him at stumbling Beast Boy, knocking them both down.

Cyborg and Starfire jumped at him trying to do a team punch but with another wave from his hand he send shards of ice with fire inside them and as they made contact it blasted them both away.

"Not enough… not nearly enough… you have to come at me with the intent to kill, otherwise you will die." he said simply.

They got up on their feet as the rest of the Titans got next to them.

"New plan, Me, Raven and Cyborg focus on defense while you, Starfire and Beast Boy on offense," Robin said.

"Me and Starfire can take more punishment than you." Dragonfire stated.

"But I won't be able to match his power." Robin replied, as Dragonfire nodded.

"Oh, how we cry for our lost innocence… how we yearn for those good ol' days." Legion sing sang. "For those stupid easy days…"

Dragonfire lunged forward, not being able to listen to the song much longer. He threw a punch at his face, but Legion easily swatted it to the side, right above his flaming wrist. Legion attempted to knee him solar plexus, but Beastboy as a wolf, jumped from the side and forced him to retreat a few steps. Dragonfire used the opening and threw a volley of starbolts. Legion raised up an ice wall, but the heated bolts pierced it like a hot knife through butter.

"Interesting…" Legion mumbled, having used his superior speed to close in on Dragonfire, engaging him in close combat again as he perceived him as larger threat… bad move.

Because if he wasn't paying enough attention to him, he would've seen that Starfire caught one of Dragonfire's star blasts and threw it straight at his face. Legion roared in pain as the bolt hit him, grabbing his face, and that gave the others the opening they needed.

Cyborg used his arm cannon with Starfire and Dragonfire next to him to combine their attack, a beam of green, white and blue was sent towards Legion while Robin sent his birdarang covered in Ravens magic, into the beam as it pushed into Legion's chest. With a painful cry, the man flew backwards, crashing into the TV's, horribly burnt from the super-heated team attack.

The disgusting stench filled the room, but luckily for them, the air filters cleaned it out.

"Is he dead?" Robin asked, slowly looking at the unmoving form.

"Yes…" Dragonfire replied somewhat submissively. "Let's move on and find the others." He said as they began to leave.

"Storm we are closing in on the kids, but we found a mutant that we had no choice but to eliminate, we are proceeding on, Titans out." said Robin from their radio earpiece.

"Aim for the head, always aim for the head," Legion's voice reached them. They turned back on their heels, gasping in terror.

The man was literally rebuilding himself before their eyes; the burnt skin was falling off, revealing a layer of fresher one. He may still be horribly deformed, but in matter of seconds, the man looked just like at the start of the battle.

"How the hell can you even get a scar with a healing factor like that?!" Robin exclaimed, visibly shaken.

"Push the limits, push the limits they said, let's see more and more! How much can he take, the men in white coats, year after year." He chuckled with an eerie smile, "We–"

BOOOM!

Suddenly, a great tremor shook the whole room, causing those with their feet on the floor to lose their balance and fall on the ground.

"G-Guys…bzzzt!... Ar-… okay?" Storm shouted through the static.

"Hehe, looks like your friends found the one with red eyes, hihihihihi." he giggled, standing on his feet. "Shall we?"

The team took their stances… then Legion disappeared. And not even second later, both Robin and Beast Boy were flying in opposite directions.

'When?' passed through their minds.

"Kids gloves off." Legion uttered, standing where they used to stand. "Brace yourselves."

Cyborg managed to get over his shock when Legion's flaming first nearly met his face, making him jump back. However, he got kneeled in the gut, making him bend down, only to be finished with a spinning kick.

If not for him being part machine, he would most likely be dead. The man hit like a ram, and despite the cybernetic parts, he painfully felt each and every hit before blacking out.

Raven used her magic to try to pin him down, but he proved to be too fast as he appeared infront of her and knocked her on the ground.

'How is this possible?' she thought when she hit the ground. They were six of them ganging up on him giving them the numbers advantage, yet they couldn't do a single thing against a man who was beating them up dressed in a pair of pants.

Her trail of thoughts was interrupted by sudden lack of air as Legion lifted her by the throat with little to no effort.

His iron grip tightened, making her struggle for every breath before she lost consciousness.

"Rachel Roth… teen heroine…daughter of Trigon, such disappointment." He shook his head, "we thought maybe you could kill us… such a shame."

"Let her go!" Beast Boy shouted from the other side of the room, charging at him as an Elephant while Dragonfire had his hands ablaze.

"I will get to everyone in a bit," he dropped her to the ground and turned back to the approaching fire storm.

He then shot the ray out of his eyes, halting Dragonfire's assault. He jumped forward, punching Beast Boy away into a wall before making an ice claw and slashed Dragonfire across the chest.

The claw broke, but the man was relentless, and he grabbed his face and slammed it into the floor, making a dent in it. But his onslaught hadn't ended there. He shot his ray, hitting Dragonfire's back almost point blank.

The Boy Wonder dashed forward, combining two birdarangs into a birdarang sword and engaged Legion in close combat, thus giving Dragonfire much needed time to recuperate. Namely about three seconds with Legion using his superior speed with additional of fire/ ice fists that sent Robin flying at the nearest wall.

As soon as he was done with Robin, he moved upon a stumbling Starfire, using his ice claws again. Starfire screamed as the cold ice plowed her chest, drawing blood. She stumbled back, clutching the bleeding wound. Legion used her momentarily distraction and front kicked her straight into the wall, again making a dent in it.

"Such disappointment," Legion sighed, creating an ice spear, walking slowly towards her. "So we won't die today."

Starfire lifted her head, using the last ounce of her strength to see Legion loomed over her, boring his eyes straight into her soul.

"So many wasted opportunities, eh?" He mumbled. "So many things you wanted to do, but there wasn't time, am I right?"

Starfire didn't say anything as she didn't have the energy to move much less talk.

"Ahhh, not talking, good," he tilted his arm back, aiming for the heart. "Then I'm sure you will die with less regrets!"

Time seemed to slow down for Starfire. At the ice spear drew closer to her heart, and she tried to move but her body refused to obey.

She felt a stab of despair. She was going to die in seconds and there was so much more to do! She then saw her brother and sister right before her very eyes and all the things they've done together. She could not leave him like that; she didn't want to leave him like that. Starfire knew that something like that would destroy him.

She grit her teeth, feeling her eyes starting to water.

'I can't move… I'm sorry brother… take care of him, Blackfire…' she closed her eyes, waiting for the finishing blow.

Starfire opened her eyes as she felt no pain before seeing a white starbolt hit Legion on the head and another and another.

"Urhg..." Legion moaned as he stumbled back with blood seeping from his burned forehead.

"Ah!" yelled Dragonfire as he sent starbolt after starbolt at Legion, pushing him back as he couldn't fight back due to the starbolts blasting his arms and parts of his body away.

Dragonfire sent a large starbolt at Legion causing him to be blown to a wall as he slid down. He panted before noticing Robin's Birdarang sword and picked it up before making his way towards Legion.

"Dragonfire don't." screamed Robin as the others saw what was happening.

The redhead hero reached his enemy, slashing at his neck. The blade buried itself deep in Legion's neck but seemed to stay there. The man spat an ungodly amount of blood. Dragonfire didn't show emotion even when Legion looked into his eyes and gave the most grateful, bloody smile anyone has ever seen.

"Thank you." Legion gurgled as he grabbed Dragonfire's wrist. Then in one swift move, he finished what Dragonfire started. His head fell off his shoulder with an eerily satisfied smile on his lips. A fountain of blood erupted from Legion's body, covering Dragonfire in a crimson sheen from head to toe.

The Titans just froze, except for Starfire, as they saw Dragonfire just stood there drenched in blood and those two emotionless heterochromatic dots serving as eyes were quite intimidating. That was until he fell to his knees and promptly puked on the floor.

Starfire jumped on her feet and flew to her brothers side, trying to not to step in pool of blood or other things.

"Breathe Brother." Starfire said gently, rubbing his back.

"I...I...I killed..." he mumbled as he pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

Dragonfire started breathing and if not for Starfire's help, he would've fallen on the ground where he puked moments ago.

Starfire grabbed her brother and spoke in a gentle tone, "Brother, we need to go."

No reaction.

"Brother, we can't stay here... Alice needs our help." she tried from a different angle. Predictably that snapped him out of his daze. Because if there was one thing that Dragonfire valued above anything else, even himself, it was the people close to him.

"Alice?!" he half exclaimed made his previous thoughts forgotten.

"Yes, she needs us–you, she needs you to get up," Starfire grabbed his arms and gently lifted his up.

"R-right." he nodded before he started walking before Starfire grabbed his hand as he looked back at her. "What?"

"You need to get rid of the blood first Brother." she asked as he nodded before engulfing himself in fire as it disintegrated the blood on him and his clothes.

"I kinda envy those with fire and water abilities." said Beastboy randomly before they went to where the children were kept.

"Down there." pointed Raven down the hall the Titans ran came to a large door.

"Cy, can you hack to op-," Robin started to say before Dragonfire punched the door open breaking it down. "Nevermind."

When they entered they saw all the kids in separate cages, some in jackets that restricted their movements.

"Titans let's get these kids out of here." said Robin as they began to release the kids.

"Brothers!" yelled Alice when she saw Dragonfire and Beastboy open her cell as she jumped on them hugging them both.

"It's okay, we are here." Dragonfire whispered to her softly.

They soon felt a tremor as they saw water falling from the ceiling.

"I guess its time to leave." said Robin before Raven enveloped them in her magic turning to a giant black raven before flying through the base and outside.

They made it to the surface as the raven landed on land before it disappeared to show the Titans and the kids.

"Storm we have the children and are outside the base, follow the flare I will send." said Robin before he send a green flare from his belt before they saw the blackbird coming towards them.

They got inside and noticed the mood was grim, as some were crying, while others gave sad looks.

"What happened?" Dragonfire asked as the mood became more depressing.

-Few Days Later-

Dragonfire, dressed in black, stood in between Rouge and Starfire as they listened to Storm talking about Jean, who sacrificed her life to save them. He felt Rouge grab his hand as he gave a gentle squeeze before seeing Storm place a flower on her grave as the others lined up to do the same.

"After this we are leaving back to Jump City team." said Robin before he walked away.

"I'm gonna go tell Alice." said Beastboy as he left as well.

"So you guys leaving back now?" asked Rouge looking at Dragonfire, who nodded.

"Yeah we have to go back to Jump City, but hey if you need anything and I do mean anything just give us a call." he told her as he hugged her tighter when she nodded.

"Brother time to go." called out Starfire as they said goodbye before leaving on a car.

"I can't wait to get back to the tower." said Beastboy.

"I'm not." said Dragonfire in a defeated tone.

"Why Brother?" asked Starfire as Dragonfire looked outside the window shivering.

-Back at the Tower-Few Days Earlier-

"I am so gonna kick his ass when I see him again, no first I'm gonna hug him glad that he is alright and then kick his ass." growled Rainbow Dash as she paced around the living room of the tower.

"B-but Rainbow Dash, D-Dragonfire did had a good reason." whispered Fluttershy defending their friend/crush.

"I know, I know but what if something happened and we weren't there. I don't like feeling helpless." Rainbow said sighing sadly, Dragonfire had saved her when they were little and when he went back to Ponyville. She wanted to be there by his side and not be the one needing saving.

"Interesting, so you want to help Dragonfire and not be a burden." said a feminine tone that Rainbow looked at the couch to see Tsuki sitting there watching them.

"Hey Tsuki, yeah I do but he was right all I have is my speed and Element of Loyalty but that is useless without the rest."

"I have a way to help you with that."

"You do? How?" asked Rainbow.

"I am a Goddess, I can give those I deem worthy powers." she shrugged nonchalantly.

"I want them, I want to help Dragonfire as he has helped me." Rainbow said with determination.

"Hmm, very well, How about you Fluttershy?" Tsuki asked the yellow pony who blushed a bit and looked down.

"I-I would like that, thank you." Fluttershy muttered hiding behind her hair.

"Perfect, well then prepare for trai- I mean torture." said Tsuki smiling.

"You mean training right?" asked Rainbow not liking the smile.

"I know what I said."
