Shaunee woke still lying on Kalona's chest he hadn't moved, the steady rise and fall of his chest told her he was asleep, she made sure her feeling were calm, not wanting to wake him, it was strange having to control her own feelings but she did it, with one hand she got her phone not moving off his chest she texts Zoey asking about Damien she texts back Shaunee was glad it was on silent.
'He's off life support but still in a coma I have hope' she had texted Shaunee feels so relieved Kalona stirs Shaunee watches him and he his breathing returns still asleep, Shaunee texts back.
'I'm so glad'
'Me too so what's this I hear about you imprinting with Kalona?' Shaunee sighs she was never going to live that down.
'It was an accident I attacked him blood lust you understand' that should make her stop Shaunee thinks.
'Yeah sorry I'm glad you made it though I never doubted you, can't wait to see you safe with my own eyes' Shaunee smiles.
'Same' she texts putting her phone on the table and returning her head to Kalona like he was a pillow at the moment he was hers, a warm amazing smelling pillow she inhaled him wanting to have his scent forever, she must have drifted off again when she woke Kalona was gently stroking her back she moved her head so she could see him but didn't raise her head.
"Damien's off life support but still in a coma" she tells him not afraid what he thought just wanting to tell someone.
"That is good" he says she smiled hugging herself to him.
"Yeah" she says she didn't know what this was they were doing, she didn't know how he felt about being imprinted on with her, how he felt about most things, if he wanted the imprint broken, if he kissed her because he liked her or because it was how he felt as the result of having his blood taken she knew blood taking from people had that affect she'd seen it when Stevie Rae had been imprinted with Aphrodite only Darius was getting it the unknown was scaring her.
"Your emotions are like reading your thoughts" Kalona said with a chuckle Shaunee blushed, great, she got off him.
"We better go" she says blocking her feelings from him he doesn't say anything and Shaunee can't decide if that is good or bad.
They head to the cafeteria sleepy fledglings sit at the tables, Shaunee sits with her friends it looks so empty without Damien and his books with them, the others were feeling the same.
"So glad to see you're okay Shaunee" Zoey says hugging her Shaunee feels Kalona keep walking past the table she forces herself not to look after him she had enough problems and hugged Zoey back.
"Me to it could have been worse I guess, at least I had someone to talk to being trapped in the vault"
"What's it like being imprinted with Kalona?" Shaylin asks.
"I feel powerful, unafraid, though I've never been afraid of him somehow"
"You mean he's…" Zoey says Shaunee nods. .
"Whoa" Kramisha says suddenly understanding.
"How's Damien?" Shaunee asks to change the subject before Kalona hears.
"He's getting better" Stark says.
"Thank Nyx" Shaunee says with relief what a load off but still it wasn't over"
"How are the Raven Mockers?" she asks.
"The worst injury so far has been a broken arm and leg on one of them, other than that they will all be okay, only the critical are still here, the rest moved back to Ravenswood" Stevie Rae says.
"I hope Nisroc was on the critical list, talk about force of will" Shaunee says Rephaim smiles.
"My brother is very stubborn" he agrees.
Shaunee stands feeling like she really just needed to go for a walk, maybe go back to the deport tunnels, having shower was on the list.

"Still isn't rhythmic" Shaunee says turning form the group, hearing Stevie Rae giggle.
So glad Damien will be okay, of course he had to be, it's Damien anyway the poem is back and what has been foretold is about to come to pass :) Review Please!
